Jesus Calling: November 13

I AM CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of Glory. The One who walks beside you, holding you by your hand, is the same One who lives within you. This is a deep, unfathomable mystery. You and I are intertwined in an intimacy involving every fiber of your being. The Light of My Presence shines within you, as well as upon you. I am in you, and you are in Me; therefore, nothing in heaven or on earth can separate you from Me!
As you sit quietly in My Presence, your awareness of My Life within you is heightened. This produces the Joy of the Lord, which is your strength. I, the God of hope, fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust in Me, so that you may bubble over with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Colossians 1:27
English Standard Version
To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Isaiah 42:6
English Standard Version
“I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
a light for the nations,

Nehemiah 8:10
English Standard Version
Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Romans 15:13
Amplified Bible
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.

My Prayer (2022)
Lord, it is indeed a great mystery - how putting my trust in You for my salvation yields you Christ in me. I don't think I fathom what this means at times, of how the hope of Glory and all that comes with Christ now resides in me. That the Holy Spirit is living in me, giving me abundant life for all time. Lord, may you help me further understand this truth, this mystery.

  1. Heavenly Father, Thank You for your everlasting presence in our lives. Though we were made for you, forgive us as our hearts gravitate toward other idols that seem more real, satisfying and less demanding to us but leave us empty. In this busy world, I pray that we seek your presence throughout this day so that we will have Your love, hope, peace and joy which gives us lasting strength. Thank you Lord for always being in our hearts!

    5. (Changed my profile name from Peter JF Jackson to Peter). Me too, I've gotten so used to His involvement in my life ( took many years though), His Presence, His help, direction. It's so natural now to commit all to Him as I go through the day. I now don't know how those who are not His manage to get through each day. He says that we were never designed to 'go it alone', we were designed 'in Him to live and move and have our being' (forgot the scripture). I love the "You and I are intertwined in an intimacy involving every fiber of your being."

  2. Heavenly Father, thank you for your everlasting supernatural presence which far out weighs anything that may appear to us as trouble. Your goodness and abundant love for us deflects any situation that may try to steal our joy. For our joy is in you and nothing can touch that brilliant light that is your truth. Nothing can get near to the overflowing neverending supply of peace that is available to those who love you. Please Lord open the eyes of those who hold them tightly closed to your love, assist them in their choice to select you. For you are the only way. You are the way and the life. Please LORD ease the suffering of those lost sheep who cannot seem to find their way...please father clear the ramble fron the road so their choice is abundantly clear. Save the lost LORD and lead me as your living proof of the son Jesus christ to comfort the lost in your timing thru the holy spirit. Allow me to hear your small still voice in ypur solution and response to the needs I present to you Father. Thsnk you Lord Jesus for paying the price for my undeserved freedom. I am greatful for ths overwhelming gift and promise for my future. Thank you for the comfort that this provides in my daily life. I love you Jesus.

  3. Today’s reading brings us to a great truth, the intimacy we share with our Lord & Savior. As the reading makes clear in calling it an unfathomable mystery, it is something beyond our finite minds ability to explain or understand. But, as the reading makes clear, this great truth is to be experienced and the way we do this is through taking the time to sit quietly in His Presence to heighten our awareness of the truth. The prayers offered by Jeff and Linda contain the perfect conclusion to this experience, to close with expressions of thanksgiving. It is in the response of thanksgiving that the truth becomes sealed to our heart. When the heart is thankful, the doors are left wide open for the Joy & Peace to come rushing in. Oh, to have a thankful heart!

  7. Dear Lord,

You are good! You are merciful! You are love! You are fair! You are kind! You are patient! You are compassionate! You are all of these things so much that you died for me, a horrible sinner who gave into my own desires and worldly wants for years, decades... Thank you God for loving me!!!!

You are Supreme, Eternal, Boundless, Relentless, and All-knowing! You knew the mistakes I would make before I made them, you forgave me the second I whispered in My Heart Lord forgive me. And you turn the bad things into something you could use for you work all things together for good for those who love Jesus!

Your timing is perfect, you are ever present. You knit me and formed me in my mom's womb. I am fearfully and wonderfully made and you have great great plans for me!

So today I stand for on Your Love, Your Providence, Your Salvation and I walk forward in courage and kindness. I will not grow weary for I have hope! Hope for a full life in Jesus, hope for your smiling face to shine down upon my heart, hope for your loving hand to touch the lives of others through me. No weapon formed against me shall prosper! No not one! For you are my Lord, my Protector, my Guide. You have given me armor that my enemy cannot break through. The armor of God! Today Lord I will stand my ground by putting on the belt of truth and the armor of your righteousness. Help me to know the truth of Your Word and to always do the right thing according to that truth. I prepare myself for this day by putting on the shoes of peace that surpass understanding. I have this peace by always remembering what Jesus did for me. Today I hold up the shield of faith. Faith in who you are and the victory won stops all the attacks to me. This battle has already been won for it is written "IT IS FINISHED!" The enemy's fiery arrows will not penetrate my shield of faith for his Victor is my Protector! I wear salvation for my helmet and I always remember Calvary and that my God is fully alive!
I take up Your Word as my sword!!!! And I pray pray pray in the spirit at all times on every occasion!!!!

Lord I ask that you send your Holy Spirit as my helper in all of these things. Help me to Love You Lord and help me to Love Others. Help me to remember that we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against evil spirits. And that we have the power of Jesus Christ! Help me to be alert and persistent this day. Help me to be discerning. But most of all help me to LOVE.

  10. I woke up renewed - and to be reminded that it is Christ in me, the hope of Glory, resonated in every area of my life. It's as if a cloud has lifted from me - the cloud that hung over me from Monday until the middle of the night last night, when I knew I was healed in the name of Jesus Christ. I've had spotty internet and felt so detached from everyone. Then I remembered that God is closer than my very breath and that my JC Family prays whether I'm on here or not. To read the last couple of days blessings, breakthroughs, answers to prayer, is a blessing. We all have our days when it seems bleak; our health isn't where it should be or our thoughts stray from the Truth.
Help me to remember in those times, Lord, that you haven't moved...I have - for whatever reason and it makes the healthy, rested, blessed days stand out that much more. I lift Debbie to you, Father, and that her endoscopy (on my phone reminder). Bless her with peace and for Sassy Mom's confident prayers for her daughter. That all of JC Prayer Warriors, take a minute to pray for a wonderful outcome.
Lifting all of you this day, wherever you are in your walk, in your life, that our Father has promised to deliver us from the hands of the wicked, through His son, Christ Jesus. God in Christ in us, the Hope of Glory - keep that in the forefront of my mind today.
Also praying for a clear mind today, free from the 'bug' I had; that I can focus, prioritize and knock out the work. Praying for my cases; that there is resolution for so many waiting on a breakthrough. That people see your Light of Hope through me, hear your Word in my words and revel in your matchless Word.
MadFox, praying for your breakthrough, thanking you for your service, praying that there is a breakthrough from the disappointment that you seem to be feeling. I know for me, it has been a yearning for the simpler days - when we were all under one roof and the answer to prayers didn't rely on a phone call or text that assures me all is well. Praying that the anxiety that I have felt in recent years around the holidays doesn't entrap me. Let me live each day to the fullest, honoring you, Father, and take each day as it comes.
Sorry I'm rambling - it's a blessing to be back on here, able to pray as I type and read your specifics.
    Have a blessed day...

  11. Precious Lord, what a Joy, what a Blessing to be in Your Presence this day and being reminded that You are Christ in me the hope of Glory and not only that, but You who walk with me, holding my hand, is the same ONE who Lives within me! Hallelujah!! Father, thank You that the former mystery, now understood, is that Christ in us is the hope of our future! Wow!

JC family, what great news!! The Holy Spirit seals us for the day of redemption (Ephe. 4:30), meaning, the Spirit’s presence in our hearts guarantees our ultimate salvation. Though we are in this world, we are not of it (John 17:16). God will continue to work in us until He is finished perfecting us (see Phil.1:6)! VICTORY, VICTORY, HALLELUJAH to the KING!

  12. Norah, Jan, JJ, MaryOKC, CO, and many others. Thank you for your kind words and prayers. It has been a season of challenges to my thinking as a father and husband. A season of finally understanding, that life is precious and my years are numbered. A time for profound changes in my work life and thus my thought process about the future. I am not a worrier or a person who stubbornly sticks to old methods or thinks too highly of himself. I seek God's grace and hope to be about His work both secularly and in Christian community. But having said all that, am still in a situation where some leading of the Spirit and a practical path forward would be nice to "see". So prayers to that end have been very nice. Thank you. Don't cry for me Argentina (ha ha) or JC community! In God's timing, all will be made clear. Peace and Godspeed friends.

    Reign in our hearts.
    Reign In our minds.

We truly recognize Your Kingdom as not of this world... Yours is a "Kingdom of truth and life, a Kingdom of holiness and Grace, a Kingdom of Justice, Love, Mercy and Peace," which we get glimpses of here on earth, but will be fully revealed to us at the end of time, when God will Reign Supreme as our all in all. 20. JC Family I have a praise report and a prayer request.
I will praise Him first! Patti had her 4 month post transplant appointments this week and all is doing so well that her next appointment in ONE YEAR from now! God is good!!
Now I ask you to keep my sweet mother in your prayers for healing. A large mass was discovered today. It is pressing against her bladder and preventing her kidneys from functioning. As soon as they can stabilize her kidney function, she will have a biopsy to determine what we are dealing with and it’s exact location. Please pray for her.
Heavenly Father I ask that you heal my mother if it be your will! I ask for guidance for her doctors, nurses and our family! I ask that you protect her from pain! In your precious son, our Lord Jesus’ Name! AMEN!!!

  23. Xavier, It is my belief that God created free will and you lead your decisions by groaning in His Spirit to the Father through the Son for discernment as to what will best lead you and others (friends, customers, co-workers AND Strangers) to live in His Spirit. My pastor and friend once or even many times (I'm a slow learner in the faith journey!!) that God x3 will redeem whatever path you decide with a contrite heart.

God is love and goodness, man via sin corrupts that into his evil desires and thus can also damage His will for all things to be good. You're seeking here... that is a good sign. Live your BEST life by using your God given acquired and genetic talents to spread the Kingdom in all that you do. Sarah as JC says today, and it is so on point for all of us... and obviously it pricked your good heart today Xavier: "Joy of the Lord, which is your strength. I, the God of hope, fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust in Me, so that you may bubble over with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

I have shared a little but God didn't give me cancer, some electronics perhaps when I flew in the Navy, or flying commercial I read even a cosmic eay traveling at the speed of light could have entered and damaged a single cell in my blood recently, or I drink diet drinks with known carcinogens as a sweetner. I got a rare type and it could trim my lifespan (or not) but it cannot destroy my joy or my 35+ years in the customer service business. Thus I'm determined to get great service and technological advances by choice  as I take on this battle with JC Prayer Warriors (thank you), friends, church family and my own family praying for good outcomes. How do I create a culture change in my little world of a customer serviceLESS medical industry?? Well, I believe God expects me to do so by first building rapport and loving the strangers and staff I'm going to be around for the next four months. Even though we are wearing masks they see my smile in His Spirit. You and all if us can do that everyday. So pick a path in faith and Carpe Diem!! Agape and Amen.

    3. KS and TJ, Virtual hug for the kind words! God is at work as BobM said yesterday. It is too early to provide a proven trend update (Day 10) but I estimate through this blog and the prayer lists and my church and other lists and groups - that I literally have thousands praying for me... how can I not have joy as I tentatively see progress and my doc says I look great. ** Joy in the Lord is a contagion virus I intend to spread! ** I simply am sharing the reality of the path before me. Godspeed JC family, enjoy the weekend.

    4. And there will be setbacks that is the nature of this disease. I choose not to share the few small challenges to date, I've had them but I refuse to allow whatever time I have to wallow in pity. God has blessed me with much to be gratefull for. My Team Madfox motto is this: Never give up, Never Surrender. Show a gratitude attitude every day." it's on a white board where we list things we are grateful for in our kitchen as I go through chemo each day. The first part is from a Tim Allen movie, a Madfox family comedy fave, spoof of star trek and star wars. The 2nd part was shared by a new friend.

    5. MadFox, you are in my daily prayers as is how grateful I am to have and be part of this incredible JC family. It still amazes me how I happened upon this site at the beginning of the year due to my having trouble with my kindle app that held my JC book. I felt the evil one's attempt to keep me from my JC morning reading and I was NOT HAVING IT! What an enormous blessing in my life to be part of this group!
I have to share a song that has SO touched me during these tense months in our world and country...
It's Zach Williams's song (with Dolly Parton), "There was Jesus". I implore one and all to take a listen to it. The premise being Jesus is ALWAYS there throughout everything we've gone thru or are going thru!

Every time I try to make it on my own
Every time I try to stand, I start to fall
And all those lonely roads that I have traveled on
      There was Jesus
When the life I built came crashing to the ground
When the friends I had were nowhere to be found
I couldn't see it then but I can see it now
      There was Jesus
In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
      Every minute, every moment
Where I've been or where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it
      Or couldn't see it
      There was Jesus
For this man who needs amazing kind of grace (mm-hmm)
      For forgiveness and a price I couldn't pay (mm-hmm, mm-hmm)
I'm not perfect so I thank God every day
      There was Jesus
      There was Jesus
In the waiting, in the searching
      In the…

Please search it out and take a listen. When we pause to realize Jesus is with me always, it gives me such comfort.

Blessings & praise to our heavenly Father and to one and all in this awesome JC Fam!

  24. Loving Heavenly Father, Thank You for causing me to hear Your loving kindness and tender mercy this morning. The powerful and profound truth about who I am in You, is that when Christ entered in me and became my life, He sanctified me and set me apart for His glory! I rejoice because I have Him as my Holy guest. Thank You that He alone is my foundation for the blessed hope in the future. Christ in me is my High Priest who is interceding and giving me immediate access to You. Thank You that Christ in me is my hope of glory and my ONLY hope for this world in which I live. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Christ in us as Paul tells us, is the greatest mystery of all! It is a great miracle, it’s our hope of glory and it’s our glorious riches. It is a fact that cannot be understood in detail without divine help. There is so much more to this, but what really matters is not who we are, but Who is in us. This is the ultimate victory, because He who came to destroy the works of the satan will certainly destroy them in us. Christ hope of glory is the fulfillment of God’s promise to restore us and all creation (Romans 8:19–21). This hope of glory includes our resurrection. Romans 8:11 says:“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” This thought of hope is not wishful, it is expectant, it is the confident, joyful knowledge that we are being changed by God and will definitely one day see Christ Jesus face to face, having been conformed to His very image. Our once dead, darkened spirits will be made alive. His presence in us is the hope of this glory, and it is the truth full of “glorious riches.” With Christ Jesus in our hearts, we know that there is absolutely life beyond this earthly existence, a wonderful life that will be glorious beyond all our imagination.

Father, We thank You that "Christ in us" means that He is bearing us along from within, it means that His motive and power carries us on, giving our whole life a wonderful sense of Your presence. Thank You Lord, that this blessed union with Christ is a vital union with You, because the more we are in Christ Jesus, the more we are in You. Amen.

    Blessings and Peace.

  49. He sure is with us every second, dear Audra. Good and bad. He calls us to be grateful for even the storms and trials because they test our faith and He leads us through them. Love you, sister!

    James 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

  51. Sitting quietly with the Lord now. He helped me through many difficult moments yesterday. Very challenging day! I called on the Lord more times than I could ever count and He got me through everything. Last night was our Bible group and it was bittersweet. They asked if I knew when we would resume our meetings and I said I didn't know. It's all according to God's timing. Leaving my good husband today to move in with my mom. He has plenty of food right down to the vegetable packets he just has to pull out of the freezer and add to his dinner. Praying all goes smoothly at my mom's. I have much more to put in my car including food, and almost no room left but my Way Maker will surely make a way. I have such good news. Rick got his pathology report and both polyps are benign! Thank You so much for your powerful prayers! We serve such a faithful God! Praise Him for His loving kindness and tender mercies! He is so so Good! God bless your new day. Expect more victories to celebrate! Wait on the Lord because He keeps His promises. <3
From today's devotion: "As you sit quietly in My Presence, your awareness of My Life within you is heightened. This produces the Joy of the Lord, which is your strength. I, the God of hope, fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust in Me, so that you may bubble over with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit".

    Psalm 103:2-4
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
    Who forgives all your iniquities,
    Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

    Romans 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Praying that the opportunity for some much needed rest will be found today and will also present itself in the coming days. May God richly bless you and give you His strength and His peace.

  55. This is so blessed "You and I are intertwined in an intimacy involving every fiber of your being. The Light of My Presence shines within you, as well as upon you. I am in you, and you are in Me; therefore, nothing in heaven or on earth can separate you from Me!"

Inextricably intertwined, we with Him, He with us. Nothing can separate from our Lord Jesus.

    Romans 8:35-39
35 " Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
    36 As it is written:
    “For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  58. Thanks to all Key πŸ”‘ Prayers!
Today's Devotion reminds us The Joy of the Lord, is our strength. The God of hope, fills us up with all His Joy and His Peace as we trust Him, so that we may bubble🫧 over with HOPE by The Power of His Holy Spirit:
Following a hunting trip in another state, we woke up at 6 AM planning to start the long drive back home at 6:30 AM. But, car πŸ”‘ was nowhere to be found.
Not in garbage can, not in vehicle, not in refrigerator, not in pockets, not in bed, not under bed, not in chairs, not in sofas, not anywhere that we could find them. There was no dealership anywhere near us for our vehicle πŸ˜”. After posting a prayer request on JC,⚡️ I was then Guided ⚡️ through one of the hunters, who said let's count blessings. Then I got on my knees to thank God: We were in a safe warm place. We were surrounded by people who love us. We have a vehicle.
We could stay as long as it takes. We have AAA, who came out immediately to open vehicle doors. No key inside. We asked AAA driver if he knew someone who made vehicle keys. We called the person he recommended; No answer. God said get AAA to text the key maker, who does not recognize my cell number but would recognize the driver's number since they know each other.⚡️ The AAA driver texted him, my VIN number, make, model, my phone number, etc. The key maker called right away to say he had no fob in stock but could have one the next day πŸ˜”. We called a random dealership. They said they were not authorized to make keys for our vehicle. The Key maker who did not have our fob in stock said, ⚡️call D&J Lock company, which I did. D & J said, I'll look at my fobs, but I am working at a school right now. Where are you? When I gave him the address, he said, I'm 3 minutes away from you.⚡️ If I have the fob for your vehicle, I'll come over. Either way I'll call to let you know. Back on my knees, I thanked God for all the things He has already worked out in my life. Then I heard a Knock on the door. D&J said I have this one fob left ⚡️ for this make and model. Does it look like yours?
    πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ YES!!
He programmed it and the vehicle started ⚡️ and we were on our way home. Thankful! Grateful! Blessed!
The key πŸ”‘ to God's Answers is our prayers πŸ™ ❤️ and our gratitude for already answered πŸ™Œ
    ❤️ !
No I did NOT find the same key I had. I now have The Key God Provided and a better exercised trust muscle that confirmed His thoughts, ways, and means, are unsearchable and infinitely higher than mine can ever be.
    In Jesus' Name.
    ⚡️= Jesus showed up!
