Jesus Calling: April 19

I love you regardless of how well you are performing. Sometimes you feel uneasy, wondering if you are doing enough to be worthy of My Love. No matter how exemplary your behavior, the answer to that question will always be no. Your performance and My Love are totally different issues, which you need to sort out. I love you with an everlasting Love that flows out from eternity without limits or conditions. I have clothed you in My robe of righteousness, and this is an eternal transaction: Nothing and no one can reverse it. Therefore, your accomplishment as a Christian has no bearing on My Love for you. Even your ability to assess how well you are doing on a given day is flawed. Your limited human perspective and the condition of your body, with its mercurial variations, distort your evaluations.
Bring your performance anxiety to Me, and receive in its place My unfailing Love. Try to stay conscious of My loving Presence with you in all that you do, and I will direct your steps.

Jeremiah 31:3
English Standard Version
the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Isaiah 61:10
English Standard Version
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Psalm 31:16
English Standard Version
Make your face shine on your servant;
save me in your steadfast love!

Psalm 107:8
English Standard Version
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!

My Prayer
Lord, thank you for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank you for believing in me, for placing me where you have placed me. You have equipped me and made me to be the person I am. You have made me and you have value for me. I love you Lord and I rejoice in You. You have made me clean and righteous. You have given me the riches of life. Shine on me so that I feel your love every day of my life. Lord, I can get so wrapped up in the events of my life, having anxiety, nervousness, fear, feeling attacked, not of value. I too quickly stare at my situations and surroundings, forgetting your Love, your steadfast love. Get my eyes to dwell on You throughout my day. As I encounter difficult situations, I want to bring them to you. I bring to you my work relationships that lately are tense. There is a discord in the office that makes it an unpleasant place to come. I haven't done this well in the past, that is bringing this to you, but seek to solve these tough situations outside of you. But, Lord, on this day I want to bring this environment to you. Like the Syrophonecian woman that came to you in faith to have you heal her demon possessed daughter, I come to you in the same way. I believe in you Jesus. Heal this office of mine. And my son, my youngest son who continues to set his own parameters and not respect our house rules. You know the anger that springs up in me, sometimes too quickly, when I just want to throw him out, to the dogs, Lord, I bring him to you and commit him to you. These are my anxieties Lord. Direct my steps. Draw people to you. Bring harmony where there is just confusion and keep my confidence in you. I love you Lord.

  1. Thank you for the prayer. GREAT reading/message today. I need to remember my value does not come entirely by how much I accomplish or even serve others. It comes from God. I am perfect in God's eye just how I am. I need to believe this rather than God's blessings only coming by excessive efforts to be worthy enough for it. I AM worthy today, as God's Beloved. I am grateful!

  2. Lord my father I'll cannot thank you enough for those words this morning. I write in my prayer journal and I asked you show me reveal to me what I need to do with my channel. I want to serve you. I want to be your Warrior. I offered myself for you to use me. Throughout my whole life I've served the wrong person. Now that I have come to you I want to be your servant to the day I die. And here I am I open up the devotional and you speak right to me. You speak right to my heart. You're always there when I need you giving me the answers clarifying teaching loving. What would I do without you? What would I do without you?

    2. This reading and Chris Payton's prayer are so right on today for me, in fact ironically the url for this date's reading was popping up for the last few days. I know that God's love for me does not need to be earned, but I do want to behave as He teaches. I am worthy, and struggle with accepting that fact.

Thank you Lord, you can draw people to you. You can bring harmony where there is just confusion and keep my confidence in you. I love you Lord. Thank you Holy Spirit for navigating your way into the lives of those I love. Please use me in any way to help reveal God's love for them and encourage them to make sure they have a relationship with you in addition to their day to day mental and physical focus. I knock, I ask, I pray, in Jesus's name. Amen.

    7. Hmm, mercurial paused me to think of the mercury in the thermometers we used as kids, as it was highly and instantly reactive to changes in temperature.
Dear Lord, I bring my mercurial self to You, to exchange it for Your Steadfast Mercurial-Free Love, in Jesus Name I pray and thank You for our entire JC Family, which I am highly blessed and favored to be a member. Would You please order our steps in Your Word? Amen.

    8. I also looked into that word. I think in this use, Sara was also referring to our bodily fluctuations. Something that i have been pondering. We are flawed in assesing our bodily limitations and capabilities at times. Sometimes over estimating and sometimes under.

Yes, Jesus loves us regardless of how well we are performing or not.
Loving myself as Jesus loves me is the Ninja challenge.
When I don't love myself as Jesus loves me, then how can I keep His 2nd great commandment to love my neighbor as myself?
Thank You God for loving me anyway.

  3. I have a prayer request. I feel bad for asking but I really need prayer. Me and my boyfriend are going through so much right now because his mom cut us off for no reason and he lives kinda far away currently :( he’s not in the best area and he can’t contact me unless he sneaks his phone which he’s done for me a lot and I feel so bad :( this is so hard for us but he’s coming here when he’s 18 which is in a few months. Please pray we know Gods love and peace and to have strength through Jesus in this hard time :( I wish we could have our devotional time together as it was always so encouraging and we enjoyed sealing the Lord together :) I know this is only temporary and a challenge it’s just been so rough. Thank you for making this :) I have this wonderful book but I love sharing it with others and reading your payers and prayer requests and the comments :) it’s also nice to have the verses in on spot right bellow the text :) I’m praying for my brothers and sisters in Christ and all those who need prayer πŸ™πŸΌ have a blessed wonderful week everyone!! My grandson, who just turned 18 is going through a similar situation and ran away from home for a month. As his grandma, my heart was torn for him but could only offer prayers and emotional and financial support. Thank God, after much prayer and seeking God’s intervention he’s back home now with his parents πŸ™πŸΌ I’d love to hear how you’re doing. πŸ€—

  4. As if I could ever could be 'good' enough to deserve what Christ did for me! Thank you, Father, for loving me so much that you gave your only, begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. That Jesus, who could have had a legion of angels get him off that cross, but chose to die so I could live. Prayers for 2 of my sons as they travel to see their sister. Praying "Lord, change me," and realizing the power we have as wives and mothers to bless our families. So very thankful. Prayers for my JC Family, this day. That we may see the full force of what was given, not because we are good enough, or deserve it, but because He so loved. He will direct our steps.

  6. Good morning JC family, indeed it is a greal day. It's GOOD FRIDAY! a day when VICTORY was right around the corner! On this Good Friday over 2000 years ago,per the Holy Week Treasure map, a TRUE event took place. JESUS DIES ON THE CROSS. God accepts His Sacrifice (a sweet smelling aroma)!!! Have you accepted His Sacrifice?
Oh Precious Lord, this morning there are NOT enough words of gratitude to render unto You for the Victory that came over 2000 years ago! But today dear Lord, we say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We Thank You for the message of the torn veil!! Hebrew 10:10-23 says, "we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the Blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is His body", THANK YOU!

Thank You Lord for clothing us in Your robe of righteousness and loving us regardless of our performance, Great is Your Faithfulness!
All Glory to the ONLY TRUE KING who hung on that cross and died to set us FREE!
It's a GOOD Friday saints, let us REJOICE, we have the VICTORY! the enemies were defeated and will remain defeated! Thank You Lord for JESUS!!

    2. Amen! I am so imperfect and yet He loves me with an everlasting love. I make mistakes and stop holding His Hand, yet He is always there taking care of me and calling me back. I am certainly not deserving of all that He has done for me. He gave His life for my freedom. I have a future in Him and I didn't earn it. But I know He loves me and I love Him and He knows I belong to Him. That is enough. All I can say is Thank You Lord!!! Amen! Let us rejoice in the Victory that Jesus wrought.

  10. Good morning JC family😊! We have a "love letter" today from JesusπŸ’! How awesome is this gift of love! The fruit of the suffering He is enduring this Good Friday. I remember when I couldn't wait to open my hubby's love letters to me coming from Vietnam. My heart would just burst with anticipation as I ripped open the envelope! I was in love. God declared that we are to love Him with "all our heart, soul, strength & mind". That pretty much encompasses our whole being. Let's answer His love letter today, let's remember the blood He is shedding for that love today. Let's tell Him how madly in love we are with Him! As we are "His Passion", He is our "Magnificent Obsession"! Blessings JC familyπŸ₯°

    1. Jan, thank you for the reminder of the excitement of a an intimate love. A love that we desire time with, a love that we push everything else aside and put first, a love that is passionate and we are attentive to. We are his bride, his passion ,his love! I know for myself I'm more like the wife who's had a couple of children and feeling overwhelmed, between work and home to pay much attention to my husband, who is sitting there patently waiting for my attention. Lord please forgive me for not always putting you first. You are my husband, I am committed to you, you are my first love, I choose to do what pleases you. So, thank you for understanding that I'm a tired Mom and overwhelmed. Can we please take a vacation together, alone where I can rest in your loving arms and feel safe and secure. And that everything is going to be great with the children because YOU'RE there HEAVENLY FATHER and you are taking care of them. Thank you my love Jesus for understanding, TERRI P.S. Thank you for helping me get through each day. Please send me an extra hand as my granddaughter comes over and says grandma why are you crying and the baby just dumped his bowl of cereal on his head. 2. Jan, I saved all my husband's love letters too because they meant so much to me, especially when I was in Colorado so far from my home in New York. Yes! Jesus showed us so much love when He died for us on the Cross. He was a ransom for so many.
No greater love than to give your life for your friends, and all those who would believe in Him. His love is better and stronger and truer than any other love we could ever have. Thank You Jesus!
Answering the Lord's love letter with thanksgiving and praise, and so much love!
Dear Lord, I praise You for all you are to me in my life and all I am in You. I could never thank You enough for Your sacrifice and Your amazing Love.

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

  13. What a difference a year makes. Looking back, I remember reading this devotional a year ago and the things on my heart are quite different this year. I wake up praying for my sister-in-law and our family and those traveling to come see her one, last time. I go to bed praying for her peace throughout the night, that she is in no pain and that the loving care givers around her bless her and take care of her every need.
We haven't gone to see her, mainly because we would rather remember her as we she was in the days we took care of her. The coronavirus isn't the main reason we stay here, but it is a factor - more for our kids and their families that us. They are so anxious that we will be exposed. We've been assured that the house is disinfected every day and they are practicing safety at every turn, but as I said, this is not the main reason. It is as if we can't handle one, more sad thing, if there is no profit to Jinny in us going. She sleeps and is quiet. We try to talk on the phone - say hi and that we love her and she mutters the same, if she is able. The sister who lost her husband in November is with her every day, as she said more for herself than to meet any needs of Jinny. It is so odd to me to be in this situation. There was a day when I would have been the first to run there and take charge, but I don't feel needed and there is a peace in letting others do this. It is so unlike me and I pray that I am listening to to my Lord and not copping out on the family...but there seems to be no need.
Here in our home, it is quiet. We read, we rest, we miss our family and grands. We talk on the phone or keep up through texts but everything feels flat as we wait to see what happens next.
I take all of this to the Lord in prayer and make myself take the fears, worries and anxiety of others to Him as well. People are all over the chart with their 'version' of what is happening. All I know is God knows. He knows every aspect of this pandemic and how it will play out. I do not judge anyone for the decisions they make. If nothing else, we are learning to walk with our Father and our Savior and take each concern to him. Reading today, that my performance is not how He measures my love brings me great comfort. Reading Chris' prayer reminds me to take any angst to the Lord in prayer and then I have Peace. I pray for the caregivers all across the country, for your daughter, MadFox, for our Dr. friend who has spike a temp again and is back in ICU. For our friend who lost her husband and her son who is starting to heal. For our President and Governors who are making decisions for our safety - both physically and economically. And I know that God has all of the answers, so I pray for this same leadership to turn their eyes to Him and to put away politics and remember why they chose to serve.
    "Psalm 107:8
    English Standard Version
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!"
I am praying for all of you JC Family and whatever you are dealing with at this time, please know that God is closer than your very breath. His love and the love of His only begotten Son is far greater than any virus, or struggle, or need that we have. Right now - my family is safe and healthy. Protect them Father and ease their anxiety. Let this bring them to You for their answers and let my heart lighten up and be thankful blessings you've bestowed. Thank you for letting me pour my heart out on this page, JC Family. Thank you for your words of wisdom and scriptures and insights and know that you are all in my prayers as well.

    2. Thanks Norah, a lot of prayers for her by family and friends (virtual and non-virtual?!?), she has now switched back to her hospital, which is acting as an ICU unit for covid. Has plenty of PPE but is now a night shift caregiver for the floor. So probably some exposure and she is not someone who does well personally on nights.

A lot to "unpack" on your post. I would not venture to give advice as I don't know the deep details of your relationships. So, let me just relate my experience. My wife and my fathers died in hospice. I thought the memory of the death process would be a searing memory... at least for me, it wasn't. Same for my wife. our memories are of the vigorous healthy men they were most of their life.

However, if I had a high Covid risk, it would certainly be a consideration. Wearing a mask keeps one from touching your face, I doubt you would catch disease there with her, but you would be wise to consider your husband if you went, as he has underlying conditions, thus while challenging, I might err on the side of caution. Regardless, carry no guilt, your sis.in.law knows you better than your JC friends, and I think all would agree, we know your heart wants to be the loving person by her side. She understands and loves you now and forever.

Peace be upon you and your husband. May God grace you with extra hand holding and love as you grieve and prepare for your sis.in.law to pass into the next life where we have no pain and incorruptible new bodies. Amen

I pray for His peace to settle in and there are definite signs He is working peace within you. Lord, bring Norah to full peace within so she may reflect perfect peace to all she holds dear. Amen

  14. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for holding me by your grace. Thank you for your love which is not dependent upon me but your Grace. Your true love that does not have to be earned, but is given freely to me without the expectancy of a return action. Help me to feel Your love through frequent prayer. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Some people live in a very performance-oriented culture/world and are trained that hard work gets them what they want. You go through school, stay up late during the night to earn top marks or put in extra hours at work for the chance to get a OT/bigger raise, making it natural to expect that effort equals reward. However, while people base their hard work or love on performance, God’s love for us is not based on our performance nor acquisitions. Jeremiah 31:3 says: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”
His love is also not affected by time because His love for us is eternal.
We are absolutely, and indescribably adored beyond measure, no matter what we do, no matter what choices we make and no matter what we believe in. The laws of God tells where the boundaries are, but also remind us that we can’t earn God’s love by staying within those boundaries. Those laws are to keep us safe from our fallen nature and to prevent us from descending into self-destruction. God’s love is a gift, we had it from the start. Paul says in Ephesians 2:8 that: “For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” He saves us and it’s not because of anything we have done or will do, it is all because of His great love for us, extending His Grace to all mankind, forgiving us of our transgressions against Him.
Our life here in this world is not about what we can do for God, but what He can do in and through us. The creator of the universe certainly don’t need us (Acts 17:25). Nevertheless, He desires to use imperfect instruments like us to accomplish His God purposes.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your love that stretches beyond the natural love of man. Your love loves unconditionally. Thank You for the reminder of Romans 5:8 that says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Thank You for demonstrating Your love toward us in such a way that You sent Your Son, Jesus, to die for us while we were still sinners. Proving that Your love for us is based on faith and not that of the world’s love which is based on performance. We pray this in Jesus’ name.
These scriptures and many others note all the ways that God’s love is described. Psalms 103, John 15, and 1 John 4. Blessed Sunday to all.

Love Psalm 103. These are some of my favorite verses:
      1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
      and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

  16. EASTER II

During the eight days of Easter, stories have been remembered in which Jesus resurrection was confirmed in the minds and more importantly, in the hearts of those who believed in Him. Traditionally, the Church reads on this Sunday John 20:19-31, the evening experience the disciples had with Jesus that first Easter and how He helped convince them He truly was resurrected. Also, included on this second Sunday of Easter is the story of Thomas, the disciple who was MIA that first Easter evening. When found later in the week and told about seeing Jesus, he uttered those immortal words, "Unless I see the mark of the nails in His hands, and put my finger in the mark of the nails and my hand in His side, I will not believe." Thus, he is forever known as doubting Thomas and the term is often used in a derogatory sense. But didn't the others need convincing in the same way that evening of Jesus resurrection? Were they not doubting as well? Let's move past the doubts and see something very important in this story. Jesus did not criticize anyone for their difficulty in believing He was resurrected. He was empathetic toward a natural human tendency. So He helped the disciples and especially Thomas get their 'head around' the miraculous. Another words, Jesus showed them mercy in convincing them to believe.

Over the recent past, there has been a renewed emphasis and calling of the believing community to be less critical and more merciful. Our Catholic sisters and brothers observe this Sunday as Divine Mercy Sunday instituted by Pope John Paul II. Pope Francis has made that a major theme of His papacy. Now regardless of your theology on the papacy, the theme of being more merciful should receive universal attention across the believing community. For as this passage shows us, it was through the mercy Jesus showed to the disciples and to Thomas that was an essential part of their believing. To an unbelieving world, it is the reflection of Jesus' mercy that will be most convincing of the love of God for all. Let us all be less critical and more merciful to unbelievers so that they too can believe. As our JC reading today begins, 'I love you regardless...', this is mercy. Let us show no less.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the mercy you have shown each of us in helping us come to faith. Help us to show that same mercy to others to help them believe as well. Amen

    2. Amen dear Bob, We love because He first loved us. We show mercy because He has been so merciful and forgiving to us. Let us be an extension of that Love and Mercy to others and through it, may we lead others to Him.

    3. Thanks for the reminder BOB.

      Dear Heavenly Father God,
Thank You for Your Divine Mercy. Through all of today's situations and circumstances, would You help me accomplish this today...becoming a mirror reflection of Jesus' mercy that will be most convincing of the love of God for all. Let us all be less critical and more merciful...
Thank You God for your Mercy and Lovingkindness which assures me that my accomplishment as a Christian has no bearing on Your Love for me. Whew! What a Comforter! With Your help I am willing to practice being a little more like Jesus and a lot less like me.
I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. In Jesus' Name. Amen

    4. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your Divine Mercy! Jesus I Trust in You! Please continue to help us believe this regardless of our past and human failed actions. We repent and believe your mercy saves us! Amen.

  17. Amen Bob! Let us not become like doubting Thomas because of this Pandemic. Many are blaming God and losing faith, but this in not from Him. Yet, He allows this to happen, but never leaves us through it. His plan is to show us his faithfulness as his Will unfolds. His mercy which is beyond our human understanding, endures to the end of time. Let our faith rather be strengthened now, as we see the change in his people. Every victory and lovingkindness to others bear withness to his love and faithfulness. And His Spirit working mightily inside us. His love is obvious in the renewed hearts of his people. So many acts of mercy are being displayed all over the world. God is in this picture in a beautiful way if you have open eyes to see it and open hearts to feel it. A perfect time to celebrate the Lord's Divine Mercy.

  18. When people suddenly get wiped out by disaster, how do they make a comeback? I wondered about this when Hurricane Katrina ravished my beloved home city of New Orleans. We were refugees everywhere with nothing, in many cases, no ID, no home, no phone, no internet, no communication, no vehicles, no open stores, no green grass - nothing. We prayed and prayed petitioning God to give us a home of our own, to get us out of other people's barns, toy rooms, basements, attics, etc. In His time, He did. Some of us got beautifully restored homes, some got new homes, some went back to family of origin homes, etc. But now 15 years later I am thankful that I can quarantine in my own home, free of mildew, free of 6 ft high water marks, and with electricity and clear drinking and bathing water, open stores, vehicles, inexpensive gasoline, basic necessities, food, clothing, shelter, toothbrush, toothpaste, combs and brushes, and jobs on the horizon! Thank you for all Your blessings Jesus! Just as I was during Hurricane Katrina, once again, I am reminded this is what the book of Job is all about - waiting for, listening to, and hearing God speaking from Heaven and putting it all in perspective for us. And the Lord blessed Job at the end as He blessed me and mine since Hurricane Katrina, and "I Don't Believe He Brought Me This Far To Leave Me." during this pandemonic.
Dear God, Again tonight and each night before I go to bed, help me to recall three of today's things for which I am most thankful to You...AMEN!
Thanks for listening JC family. I am truly blessed even more to have all of you! Stay well and thankful. Love, love, love you!

  20. Thank you, Lord, for Your everlasting love and mercy. Help me to love like You and to show Your mercy to others. I pray for those who are lost without You. Help me to be the light that shines for You. Direct my path that I may serve You today.

I lost my father in February due to a stroke and cerebral hemorrhage that was inoperable. And my husband a month before suffered a cardiac arrest. My husband has since recovered, but it's been a rough year for me and my family. Especially since we are practicing social distancing. We communicate via phone, text and video chat which I an thankful for. Throughout all of this, He has bestowed upon me such a deep peace which surpasses all understanding, and I am eternally grateful. I miss my father, but I'm consoled in knowing that I will see him again. It is promised. Please pray for my mother. She celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in March. I'm thankful that my brother and his kids live with her so she is not alone. Wrap Your loving arms around her, Lord, and comfort her while I can't be there to love and comfort her during the quarantine.

Thank you all for your prayers. Your prayers are mine today, and I pray for all essential workers and first responders. Lord, keep us all safe protected by Your Holy Mantel. God bless us all. Amen

  23. Dear JC Prayer Warrior Family, This morning I am requesting prayers for my brother who is scheduled for CAT scans, Bone scans, and Bloodwork beginning at 6:30 AM. because of his skyrocketing PSA in spite of having had his Prostate removed 10+ years ago,
As always, today's devotion fits us: Bring your performance anxiety to Me, and receive in its place My unfailing Love. Try to stay conscious of My loving Presence with you in all that you do, and I will direct your steps. Thank you Jesus, I am memorizing this for today's Journey.
And thank you JJ for loaning my brother and me your prayer. It has and will continue to get used!
I envisioned Jesus declaring to his group of doctors: "He is healed and living in Divine Health." This is now reality and we are making a daily affirmation of living in Divine Health, with Great Praise to our Lord! The most important thing is to speak the WORD and Plead the Blood of Jesus over the situation with Praises to the Lord! We are only allowing positive words out of our mouths, as we walk along the Path He has traced for us. We are sowing these words over my brother's situation and circumstances:
My Father God, Jesus is the Name above all names. His Name is above my brother's PSA therefore his PSA must bow to Jesus' Name and His Sovereignty! I speak the Name of Jesus over every part of my brother's body today. I declare that Jesus's Name is driving out everything that differs from what He originally made. Because You made him, you can renew him. We know you are able.
Heavenly Father God, we declare that Your Word has become a part of my brother. I Plead the Blood of Jesus over him. Your Word is flowing in his bloodstream, abdomen, pelvis, bones, and blood. Your blood is flowing through every cell of his body, restoring and transforming his body. Your Word has become flesh; and You sent Your Word and healed my brother! We are sowing Your Words with great Faith! Thank you for letting us reap a Glorious VICTORY!!! In the Mighty Name of Jesus, AMEN and AMEN. I am declaring God's greatest blessings Ever today, because God's Grace is upon my brother!
I ask the Father to surround us with His warming powerful presence, being heavy with everything good, including His Great blessings and Love to my brother and his family!!!
In His Grip of Grace, there is Mercy and Healing. With Gratitude In Jesus' Name. Amen

As I read your prayer it is my prayer request as well. We had to take my hubby to the ER on Friday due to low hemoglobin numbers and they admitted him. He has had three blood transfusions and his number rose some, but not where it needs to be. Not sure what's causing this and doctors will be performing tests and trying to figure it out today. This morning his number dipped down, so he's getting another transfusion and he is so disappointed and I'm sure scared. Please pray for peace, calm and healing. The devil is trying his best to get me to fall into fear, but I will stand tall with my God protecting me. Please pray for us. Thanks so much. JE

His words have stuck with, "don't miss the simplicity of Christ".

To be aware and available is all God asks of us. To be aware of His Love and friendship and His continuous presence in us and to be aware of what difference that makes thus allowing us to be available to His life in and through us.

The Word of the LORD is Tried:
He is a Buckler to All
    Who Trust in Him.
    Psalm 18:29-30b

For Who is GOD, save The LORD?
Or Who is a Rock, save our GOD?
It is He that Girdeth with Strength,
    And makes my pathway perfect.
He makes my feet like hinds' feet
    (Sure and steady),
And sets me upon my high places
    (Above the fray),
He teaches my hands to War

    His Orchestrating
    Of Circumstances, while I
    wait in Praises).
