Jesus Calling: May 15

Spending time alone with Me is essential for your well-being. It is not a luxury or an option; it is a necessity. Therefore, do not feel guilty about taking time to be with Me. Remember that Satan is the accuser of believers. He delights in heaping guilt feelings upon you, especially when you are enjoying My Presence. When you feel Satan's arrows of accusation, you are probably on the right track. Use your shield of faith to protect yourself from him. Talk with Me about what you are experiencing, and ask Me to show you the way forward. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to Me, and I will come near to you.

Revelation 12:10
English Standard Version

And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.

Ephesians 6:16
English Standard Version

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.

James 4:7-8
English Standard Version

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

My Prayer (2018)
Lord, thank you for being near. for helping me to see that you have not only saved me for eternity, but you also care for me each day. Thank you for helping me see that my faith is a form of protection. Lord, I had some days this past week where I was calling on you, hoping that my faith would save someone else, in that moment. My son who continues to be racked with this addiction in his life. It is an idol in his life and you know I would love to see him freed from it as he has become dependent on another means to escape from this life. I so pray that my faith could rescue him. I continue to talk to You about him. Keep my confidence in You. I also return to work today after being off the past 6 days. Thank you for keeping us all safe as we traveled to Denver and then flew to Atlanta. I don't want to ever take for granted the many miles traveled in which we can be together and be safe together. You are so good to us. Help my wife and I today now as we return to work. Thank you for the time off.

  2. Loved all of the prayers and sharing from yesterday and looking forward to another day of His power and strength. Many blessings yesterday as I read but had no time to comment. Continued prayers for all of my JC Family. We are seeing VICTORIES and will continue to as we keep Him first and foremost in our thoughts and hearts. Thank you for your prayers, though I don't have time to list the lovely results - know that I appreciate them. "When you feel Satan's arrows of accusation, you are probably on the right track. Use your shield of faith to protect yourself from him. Talk with Me about what you are experiencing, and ask Me to show you the way forward. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to Me, and I will come near to you." SO TRUE! Praying for the confidence to walk out this day as He would have me do it. When we are getting 'hit,' we need to remember, maybe we are doing something RIGHT! Doesn't the devil just hate that? Pressing on - love to all.

  3. Good Morning to the King of Kings and Lord of lords! This is the day You have made and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it! I am amongst the living today and I say Thank You Lord!

Father I thank You for a better day yesterday and believing for an even better day today. Help me to stay near You so that You will stay near me! I desire to hold onto You, regardless of what I face, so please help me Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord for reminding me that satan is the accuser of believers, but he has lost that battle and I will hold on to my Victory that is JESUS!

JJ and Sassy Mom, your prayers for me yesterday brought me to tears, it is a blessing to know that strangers take the time to listen and pray for each other. I am grateful and thank you and all others that are praying for the burdens of everyone here in this group of believers! You lifted my spirit and encouraged me more than words can express. God bless you and meet ALL of your needs. As you are a blessing to others, so will the Lord reward and bless you for taking the time to put aside your own issues and consider the prayers of the hurting! I declare and decree that the abundance of God's blessings and favor will chase you down this day and give you beauty for ashes and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Thank You for all the prayers!

Thank You Lord for this body of believers (JC Family). I pray Your Peace will rest upon ALL today in Jesus name.

    6. Dear YAWEH, I come before YOU through YOUR only begotten Son YESHUA and thank YOU for waking me, for the provisions you provide me and my family, for the peace that surrounds us, and I thank YOU LORD for the HOLY SPIRIT, I’m asking to be poured out upon us all. Please lead me with YOUR Holy Spirit 🙏
LORD YOU have revealed so much to me and although I know I’m harassed by Satan &/or his minions at times however, I also know I’ve confused trials, or difficult circumstances to be a result of the devil when in fact it was me and my previous choices I had made that in hindsight I realized had nothing to do with the devil but everything to do with the imperfect person I am. My failure to acknowledge my circumstances to be of my own doing did no good for my spiritual growth. FATHER, a pastor once told me people have a tendency to blame the devil when in fact the devil had nothing to do with their circumstances. I understand this now, and how fine a line there is in determining if it is me or him. Please Give me the eyes to see and ears to hear LORD
LORD , I praise YOU & thank YOU for leading me to so many loving Christian families here. I am learning so much and feel my spirit overflowing with reciprocal love 💕
I pray for our world leaders, and all those in control of the deconstruction of this country, LORD please soften their hearts, protect the people, especially our children. I also pray for Jason, Denise, Terrance, Patrick , Danny, Peter, Hanse, Susan , & Scott let YOUR will be done in their lives, help me to love even more those that have hurt me.
I continue to lift up my beloved E to YOU LORD as he moves through the sorrow, keep him close dear LORD, comfort him and let YOUR will be done
I also lift up my beloved daughter to YOU as she continues to struggle to find the means to make ends meet, LORD, please help prepare her for her upcoming interview, let YOUR will be done in her life.
I praise YOU FATHER& KING, for the blessings of joy , time , fellowship, and the unbelievable love I receive not only through my son but from my church but I especially thank YOU for YOUR love, patience and mercy. LORD give me grace, lead me to the road YOU want me on. I love YOU more and more everyday, please let YOUR will be done in my life
Through YOUR son, YESHUA, I pray
      Amen
      A🙏❤️

    2. Dear Anonymous,
That is something I struggled with very much at the beginning of this COVID-19. I experienced even panic bouts of fear. It is easier said than done but I can say that it will get better with some certain effort and every time you feel fear immediately go to prayer, reading the word, and also listening to praise music and the Truth in the lyrics is good. I relied on the Truth of the Written Word. Isaiah 26:3 You keep in perfect peace those whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts You. And Phillippians 4: 6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, ans the peace of God, which transends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Please read Psalm 91 it is full of goodness to give you reassurance, it also helped me alot just to picture being shielded by His wings. Know that He never leaves us. Stay in constant communication with Him.

Also, staying present and knowing that God is in control. He knew ahead what will happen and He has a perfect plan for all. Don't worry about the future. This is hard for me too but go to prayer and you will notice the peace comes. I'll pray for you. You came to the right place to seek Christian guidance and comfort. There are amazing brothers and sisters in Christ here on this blog and I've leaned heavily on them for wisdom. God bless you. Love, Kathy

    3. One more thing I thought of . . the devil wants us to feel fear. He tries day and night to break us down. He is having a field day right now. He has some power, but we have the Almighty Power! The King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords. Our shield of Faith is powerful and our weapon is The Word. Immediately start reciting whatever Bible verses you know when you feel fear.

    4. Dear Anonymous, start with acknowledging Jesus, the ONE who died to set you free from whatever it is you are going through. Talk to Him, lift your hands up in holy thanksgiving even if you don't feel like it, call on the Holy Spirit to take over, sing a song of praise, declare to your problems that your God is BIGGER and MIGHTIER! Cast Satan out and let him know that You serve a Great God who cares for you and can turn your worries into joy!
I am praying for you this moment for God to give you a garment of praise instead of a spirit of worry/despair (Isaiah 61:3)! HE'S a Mighty Great God! Please read Philippians 4:6-7. God bless you.

    7. worry can be turned into WORSHIP using the  laws  of  physics, which says that two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. ... This "law of physics" is referred to as the Pauli exclusion!
Every GOOD has GOD in it. Actively and POSITIVELY lifting up Praises and Thanking God is an instant way to get protection against the evilness, wickedness, snares and to shut down satan's d'evil negativity. Every d'evil has evil in it; All evil is found in every devil.
Because only one of those thoughts (GOOD GOD POSITIVE OR EVIL DEVIL NEGATIVE) can occupy the same mind at the same time, you may want to CHOOSE GOOD GOD POSITIVITY! From the book "The Battle Belongs To The Lord" Announce what GOOD GOD is doing in your life. Let d'evil know if it hangs around you, ALL it is going to hear is loud singing, joyous laughing, the WORD OF GOD, prays and praise, worshipping andThanksgiving, and then follow through! It will flee faster than a second because that is not what d'evil wants to hear!
      GO FROM PSALMS TO CALMS:
      From Psalm 23 - This beautiful Psalm reminds us that God is our constant, caring Shepherd and faithful Guide. In Him alone do we have hope, both in this life and throughout eternity;

Psalm 91: God's Help and Protection in Time of Need
      From Psalm 91 - This powerful Psalm has often been referred to the as the 9-1-1 call to God, the one we frequently go to when praying for God’s protection and help in time of need;

Psalm 51: Hope and Reassurance from God Who Draws Close
      From Psalm 51 – When we’re desperate for the Lord’s grace and mercy, we can trust that His ears are open to our cries for His help. He draws us to Himself, He desires our hearts to be right with Him. And in this prayerful Psalm, we receive great hope and reassurance that God does draw near to those who draw near to Him in repentance and truth;

Psalm 121: God Constantly Watches over Us
      From Psalm 121 - This Psalm is a hope-filled reminder that we can fully depend on God for help, that He is constantly watching over us, protecting our coming and going;

Psalm 46: God Holds the Final Victory
      From Psalm 46 - No matter what we face, God holds the final Victory, and we can trust Him in the midst of all that may be happening around us. This Psalm calls us to live in trust and love and to seek after a quiet and secure confidence in our God, who alone is able to save;

Psalm 27: He Gives Us All We Need (Momma!)
      From Psalm 27 - This beautiful Psalm reminds us of the truth that God is our help and our stronghold in this life. He gives us all we need to face each day and He offers hope for our future, too. Choosing to trust our God who always remains the same can help us trust Him to win the battles we face today;

Psalm 103: He Renews and Redeems Our Lives
From Psalm 103 - There’s great power in choosing to set our hearts and minds on Christ; offering Him praise for Who He is and the way He’s at work in our lives. He forgives our sins. He heals our diseases. He redeems our lives from the pit. He crowns us with love and compassion. He satisfies us with good things and renews us. He is compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in love. Remembering God’s promises, and choosing to praise Him and trust His Sovereignty, is the first step towards finding hope in your day!

If you need songs, check out yesterday's post for a musical lineup to get you started on your PRAISE FEST. Let us know how you make out. Along with Jesus, your entire JC family loves and cares about you. Amen

    8. Anonymous, actually you just did. Worship is "given attention to" something or someone. Your desire to want to worship shows the true desire of your heart.

This verse comes to mind, "their lips praise me but their HEARTS are far from me". It is clear that your heart desires to be fulfilled in Him. Take comfort in that fact and keep believe He is guiding you on this journey to deeper fulfillment in Him alone.

May the God of Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace in believing, and you may abound in Hope through the Power of the Holy Spirit.

When we are worried, we must give it right to our loving Father so we don't become anxious. The only way we lose our peace is if we allow it to be taken. Rest in Him because He loves us.

  9. Psalm 25:4-5-"Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long”.
Psalm 32:8-9-"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you."
Proverbs 3:5-6-"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”.

Oh Precious Lord, what a difference a year can bring when one turns from their sorrow into Your arms, not leaning on their own understanding, but trusting, leaning, walking with You, thanking You, praising and worshiping You! As I read my posts from last year, I stand in awe of Your AMAZING, AMAZING grace!
This morning, I acknowledge and give You thanks for Your faithfulness to me during those times when I questioned whether You even heard my cries. You did Lord, yes You did! I was just too blinded and deafened in my pain that I forgot WHOSE I was, Your child! Your Spirit lifted me up from the “miry clay and set my feet upon a rock, making my footsteps firm” (Psalm 40:2)! Today, I can rejoice, even in any pain and disappointments because I’ve stepped in the authority You have given me as Your child and claim my Victory in Jesus name! Thank You Father!
I thank You for EVERYONE who lifted me up in prayers(family, JC family, friends), that took me from a place of despair during this time last year. I also give thanks with a humble heart of gratitude for those prayers that are still being lifted up to You for me and all others. My Bible tells me that: “And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony….”(Rev. 12:11). When the attack came from every angle by the wiles of Satan, I decided to take on the shield of faith “above all” as the armor of God to defend myself against those attacks and Jesus was right there with me as He is now. Remind us that our Faith enables us to overcome. This faith in You and Your promises is made strengthened when we consider the example of Jesus who overcame the forces of temptation He faced. For us to truly be faithful, our unshakable belief in Your promises must be enduring. This shield cannot remain effective if it is lowered. Thank You for being our refuge and shield.
I prayed for each one then and I pray for each one here now. There are so many needs, so much pain, so many unanswered questions and much uncertainty. But through it all faithful Father, You remain the same God who answers prayers! I declare Your healing power through the blood of Jesus over the sick, renew their strength, restore all that which was lost, renew their hope, remind them of Your blessed assurance that Jesus is theirs’ and because He is, they need not fear. Gave each person testimonies as they take on their shield of faith, resist the devil, draw near to You and spend time basking in Your glory and what You can accomplish in their lives. Grant them Your oil of joy and wrap them in Your Righteousness through Your Son Jesus the Righteous One. Remind us that all nations and all peoples are fashioned for Your glory because KING JESUS has all authority here, not the devil! Today, we stand in faith knowing that though it seems dark (this crisis), there is a Bright and Shining Light at the end of this very dark tunnel and by this time next year by Your mercy and grace, and in the name of Jesus, there will be posts of thankful, joyful and overwhelming testimonies to Your glory! I pray this in the matchless name of JESUS, the name that is above all names! Amen.

    Blessings and Peace.

  10. Good Morning, JC Family! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and 3 of my 5 adult kiddos on are 4 hours into their 10 hr drive to move their sister home from KC, MO! Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity. My daughter landed a job that exceeded her expectations (thank you, Lord) and now she is traveling with her brothers to turn in her work 'stuff' from the old job and gather her belongings. Once again, I will have all of my family in the same state.
We have seen God move mountains over the last week: daughter-in-love, who shattered her leg in Feb. took her first steps on Wed; my daughter's answered prayers re: a job that would allow her to move back home permanently; Son #4 got a promotion and getting to see some of my children for the first time in months has left me very thankful and blessed.
"Anonymous," all of these victories involved 'worry' at times. This JC Family's prayers, forcing my sometimes 'wayward' mind back to God's promises and the many reminders on this Post, as to Who is really promising to deliver, have helped me stay my mind of God's Word. Praying for you to see victory over worry. Thanking each of you Prayer Warriors for praying with me for Safe Travels for my kids both today and Sunday when they return. Know that even though I haven't gotten to post for a while, each of you remain in my prayers as I read...even when I haven't responded.
"Talk with Me about what you are experiencing, and ask Me to show you the way forward. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to Me, and I will come near to you." Love and Blessings as we all continue to thrive in spite of a pandemic and the other 'threats' the adversary tries to throw our way. "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Ro 8:31 TGIF...it's Friday and we are Forgiven (Maplewood!).

    2. An act of worship is to attribute supreme worth to something or somebody. This song is so good for it beautifully lists the characteristics of our Lord Whom we worship, to Whom we attribute supreme worth and He deserves every bit of it. What a day it will be when 'every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.' (Philippians 2:11). The final worship which will never end. To quote another great song, 'O Happy Day!' (I think that may be an understatement.)

Thanks Audra for saying Yes to God when you posted what God stuck inside your head! That song was exactly what I needed to sing today!, all day! And sing it I did! It helped me Use my shield of faith to protect myself from d'evil one's fear and negativity. Before the call, I did Talk with God about what I was experiencing, and asked Him to show me His Courage, and increase my faith. "Come near to Me, and I will come near to you." Suddenly I sensed deep within my heart that no news could steal My shield, His Way Making, His Miracle Working, His Promise Keeping, nor His Light! With this realization plus the actual song playing in the background, I made a very difficult and previously dreaded phone call. From that call, Good news was delivered to me!! Praise and thank You Good God. You are ALL THE SONG SAYS YOU ARE AND MUCH MUCH MORE! I LOVE and APPRECIATE YOU because of Who You are and for ALL You are. Please continue blessing and inspiring our JC family. Amen

  14. FRIDAY IN THE FIFTH WEEK OF EASTER

In the daily readings, the gospel lesson for today is the same as yesterday (John 15:12-17) and it can never be read too much. It is one of those passages that is filled with the basics of faith: love one another, love in a sacrificial way, our relationship with Jesus is one of friendship and not the subservience of a slave, He has chosen us, our calling is to serve in a manner that has a positive impact on others to the glory of God, and in our oneness with the Father through Jesus Christ all will be granted. This is what loving one another is.

Though this passage has been read and preached many times in my life, because of the Holy Spirit's activity within my soul, it is as if I am reading it for the first time (and to think I read it yesterday). I am being led to contemplate this thought of friendship with Jesus. The accompanying reading in my devotional book that went with this passage today focused on the nature of true friendship. What is a true friendship? Aelred of Rievaulx (1100's) defined true friendship as "a guardian of love or a guardian of the spirit of love...so as to preserve all its secrets in faithful silence, cures and endures all defects, rejoices in times of joy, weeps in times of sorrow, feels as his/her own all that one's friend experiences." Someone said to me that the amount of true friends we have in life can be counted on one hand. As I reflect back on my life, there is truth in that according to the quote from above. But John wanted us to know that one of those true friends in life is Jesus and He fulfills the definition of a true friend above. One of the characteristics of a true friendship is time spent together. Our JC reading today emphasizes that importance. Let us seek always that precious time of intimacy with our truest friend. I was asked once, "If you miss/skip your devotional time in the AM, do you feel guilty (which reflected the influence of religion that this is a task that must be performed rather than an experience to be treasured)?" I answered, "No. I just have missed a time with my best friend and you can be sure, I will not miss being with Him tomorrow."

"I (Jesus) have called you friends..." May we all take our best friend with us today and enjoy His true friendship in the experiences He has set before us. God be with you, your truest friend. With love, Bob

    1. Thanks bd twin, for the message today. I stand in agreement with the person who said 'true friends can be counted on one hand, but In truth, JESUS is the ONLY true friend and after so many disappointments from "friends" who took me for granted, I am sticking to HIM alone as my ONLY TRUE FRIEND!

    2. Twin bd sis, in scanning the posts from last year a couple of days ago, I read your post on being betrayed and you refer to it again here. Your pain is coming through to me and I am willing to feel it. Betrayal is one of the deepest cuts in human relationships. As well we know, Jesus was no stranger to it as well. If we look at the betrayal Jesus experienced from Judas and He knew it was coming, did He guard His heart so it wouldn't hurt as bad? For me, I do not believe in any way or form God guards His heart. When He gave His only begotten Son, He took the doors off His heart and was wide open to any and all pain that comes through human sin. I don't believe Jesus loved Judas any less than the other disciples even though He knew the whole time. I believe He loved Judas, trusted Judas, believed in Judas and cared about Judas as He did the others, as He does you and me. I believe so because I do not believe in Jesus ever being half-hearted in any of His relationships. When Judas betrayed Him with a kiss, it hurt as if He didn't even know. Like Jesus, you opened your heart to someone and were betrayed, Jesus knows how you feel and you know how He felt in the Garden of Gethsemane. The two of you have a lot in common. Would be glad to be a listening ear if there was a way (the shortcomings of a blog). In the meantime, I am in prayer for you (which is no small act). God be with you.

    5. Yes we do dear GraceTakesTime. I have a very trusting heart and I see the light in people even when someone says they don't like that person. God gave all of us light to shine. We don't know what other people are going through. You can't look at a book by its cover. Only God knows the inner workings of people's hearts. You said a lot of truth dear GTT and Bob brought a lot to light. I always feel that the Judas wasn't bad until the devil possessed his mind. I am sure that Jesus loved him and was hurt by his betrayal but His Father's Will had to be done. I'm sorry dear Maplewood was betrayed. We've all gone through that but then we must forgive and move on. It may take a while for God to work on our hearts so we can forgive but then the burden will be gone and we can come to Him in a state of holiness.

  19. Good morning, and happy and blessed Saturday! The sun is shining, and as I hear the birds chirping, I'm so THANKFUL for a new day to serve the Lord. Use me, Father, as Your light that shines for others to see. Guide my steps, and may Your will, not mine, be done.

Audra, I also had Way Maker on loop yesterday, and it brought me so much peace as I continue to pray for my cousin, Billy, who is in the hospital with possible Covid 19 symptoms. My cousin is being difficult, refusing tests, and I pray the Lord sends a legion of angels to quiet his soul. Please give my cousin Your strength, Lord, to keep fighting the devil and his ways. Send the Holy Spirit to whisper in his ear that he is a child of the most High God, Jesus Christ. Use this illness to draw him closer to you. We know you can turn this situation for good. I trust in You, Lotd.

My prayers are with all of our JC family. Know that your prayers are mine. May you each feel His love, peace and joy this day as we thank Him for His grace and mercy in all of out lives. Be blessed. Your sister in Christ, Rose

I am amazed that You should bother with us human beings who are often so unconcerned about the big issues of life and eternity. We get so caught up in the mundane things of life like watching television and what food to eat for dinner. You are Almighty God; You are the mystery beyond all mysteries; no one can compare to You. You are above all things. You created all things. You do not fade at all but always remain strong. Help me to know You more deeply, trust You more fully, and to follow You more closely. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen. Thank You Jesus. I praise You Lord always and continually.

  28. I read these every morning and it's 5/2022. I've never commented but youe prayer touched my heart about your son and I wanted to share this in hopes to help provide you with hope. It wasn't mentioned specifically what your son battles but for me it was a drug addiction. If there was such a thing as "too far gone" that would've been me. At 29 yrs old God delivered me from a 15 year opioid addiction. 10+ years of this was as an I.V. drug user. Today I have been in recovery for 6.5 years and I am a recovery coach and I work alongside of people who are in active illness (active addiction) and I help to remove barriers that stand in the way between them and success(I help show them a better way of life. A life in recovery. A life for me that could not have been achieved without Gods full intervention and thru Him, my total surrender)I also work another job subcontracting thru SVSU (Saginaw Valley State University/a college here in MI) where I help create recovery treatment plans for mothers who are pregnant substance dependent.

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." -Genesis 50:20

I share the gospel wherever and whenever I get the chance and I speak and share my testimony around at many places and to many people and I am so grateful for life today. If it wasn't for my past I would not have the appreciation and gratitude I do for life today.
"God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction." Genesis 41:52

My parents reside in heaven with Jesus today but I truly believe it was because of their never ceasing intervention that lead to my redemption. I believe our prayers are spiritually eternal and once prayed they never cease to exist. I pray peace over you and you family and release and relief over your son and peace over his heart, mind and soul. Thank you for all you do and never stop praying for him and as a child of parents who prayed hard for me and made it on the other end of things...thank you for your son's prayers because I believe they will be answered because I know what a mighty God we serve. Thank you Payton Family!

    4. Dear Trisha! What a powerful testimony! You have truly been an effective instrument in God’s Hands through your affliction! God allowed you to suffer through your trials to give you a deeper understanding of what others in similar positions are enduring. You have walked their paths and understand the true burden of addiction that effects so many people and their families and loved ones. But you who have been set free by God’s faithful intervention, your determination, faith, hard work, and the power of sincere prayers, know they can also turn their lives around and be brought to the Lord. Peace, salvation, fulfillment and good health are available, and can all be found in Jesus. What a blessing that He has equipped you so well to help others start new lives! You continue to shine God’s light in the darkness and give many a chance to change their lives and gain true strength of faith. I applaud your victories and your efforts that glorify God. You make a big difference every day! Keep shining your beautiful light for Jesus. God bless and keep you always.

  30. "Spending time alone with Me is essential for your well-being."
One of my grandsons nearly 17 years old is interested in boxing. At 6 foot 2, rippling muscles and over 200 pounds he is in the heavyweight class. Not an ounce of fat on him! Needless to say, he's in training several times a week.
The more time he spends in the gym the more skillful he will be. He's very careful about his diet, consentious about what he takes in, balancing the nutrients. He is focused on his objective.
    Some thoughts on Spiritual Well-being:
With my grandson in mind how much time do I spend in my spiritual 'gym'?
Time spent with my Trainer, the Lord Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.
Time spent in prayer, in meditation, in His Word.
Time 'working out' my salvation with fear and trembling ( Philippians 2:12).
Time putting into practice what I've learnt ( witnessing to others).
Am I careful about what I 'take in', what I read, watch, listen to?
Am I really focused on my objective, living my life with oil in my lamp focused on my journey to my Heavenly home?
Just a few thoughts on which to ponder.
    Wishing you all well.

    2. Thanks for this much needed training exercise Peter. Interestingly, I was snagged by your witness reference, because it was the 3rd time "witness" bumped into me today...Time putting into practice what I've learnt ( witnessing to others)... i am learning that a good witness is one who only tells tells exactly what s/he saw, experienced, heard like the blind man Jesus healed. The blind man only testified to the event that actually happened to him. I AM THE SAME MAN WHO ONCE WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I SEE! A Man they call Jesus made mud and smoothed it over my eyes and told me to go to the Pool of Siloam and wash off the mud. I did as He said, and now I can see. I don't know anything else.
The witness does not have to know everything. The witness does not have to defend Jesus. The witness' own life does not have to be perfect. All the witness has to do is tell exactly what happened to him/her.
We freely witness on YELP, and EBAY when we tell of our experience in a restaurant, or with a seller. From our one statement of what actually happened to us, untold thousands benefit.
      Dear Heavenly Father God,
Would you forgive me and help me open my mouth when it is time to give You a reference? Would You help me tell others when I know all You have done and are doing in my life?
Would You help me to let them know the times I mourned so loud and hard for a loved one who died, that I wanted to get in the grave with them, yet You alone brought true Comfort to me.
Would you help me tell the story of a poverty so great I did not have enough money to declare bankruptcy, yet You opened wide Your doors of opportunity to me.
Would You help me tell of all the New Mercy You give me day after day after day, just because I am Yours and Your Mercy is so undeserved, yet You give it and give it and give just because You love me.
I do want to be Your witness, Lord. Thank You for helping me In Jesus' Name. Amen.

    3. Beautiful testimony of God’s mercy and good works in your life, dear Brie! He is so good and faithful to lift us out of the depths of despair and misery and renew and restore us in His love. He upholds us with His mighty right Hand. He comforts our hearts like none other and knows all the words we keep deep within us. He understands us better than we understand ourselves! Praise Him. Amen.

    4. Love what you wrote, Brie. This is something that God has been making real to me of late. I don’t need to be a Bible scholar in order to witness to others, all I need to do is to share my experience of/in Him with others. God is so good!

  31. Thank you Peter! Heading to the"gym" for spiritual and physical training today. Also reminded that many of us might see a lunar eclipse tonight resulting in a "blood" moon. Thank you Lord for this reminder of the sacrifice that covers us all. Thank you Jesus!

  32. That’s a great reminder we’re saved by His blood. Thanks and Amen sweet Audra.

  35. Looking back at these posts, we all waited patiently for Evelyn's arrival and she came into this world on the 16th! Exactly when God wanted her too. So very blessed to have her in our family. She has brought so much joy to all of us in one year. God bless her and her family always. She just got baptized so she is part of His family now. Hallelujah!

    Isaiah 25:1
O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name,
For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth,

  36. My Witness TESTimony:
MAY 12's devotion had my name written all over it. Drainout R Me. And so was Come to Me, all you who are weary and find life burdensome, and you will find rest for your soul...
Disclaimer, if I use the word, "I" it is not me. It is the "I" as in gu"I"ded by God's Holy Sp"I"r"I"t
TESTimony: So weary, so tired, so feeling left in the storm waaaay too long, the Holy Spirit awakened me in the middle of the night last week, and said go purchase refundable fares to Aruba.
After much wrestling with the covers to get back to sleep instead of dream this Impossible Dream, I finally got up, went to the computer and searched for refundable fares to Aruba. When what to my wondering eyes did appear?
Miraculously, A use points option that allows for complete refund of points up to 10 minutes before flight time!
Moraculously, there was a departure and return date for which we had enough points for both Larry and me!
Moraculously, the flight dates fell within the dates of our timeshare weeks!
Now God. Respite can only be respite if I knew my brother Keith was well taken care of.
    PRAY. TRUST. WAIT. THANK!
Yesterday, the hospice chaplain came unnanounced. He said he came to pray with me. And pray he did, asking God to open the best doors, etc. God appeared with skin on!
I started to Feel The Earth Move Under My Feet.
He asked if I was able to take advantage of hospice's respite program. (I looked like death warmed over) I said, respite would only be respite, if I knew my brother Keith was well taken care of.
He asked for my top two places and dates.
I gave him the dates on my Holy Spirit airline tickets! What God Hath Wrought!
He said, I just left one of the places. But Keith's nurse is there now. I'll call her to see what she can do. (Be still, oh my beating heart)
The Chaplain, went into Keith's room and prayed with him.
Then he left. Before he was out the driveway, our phone rang. It was the Grace filled place, where Keith temporarily stayed in February. "Kelly" asked, what dates do you need for respite?" Pulled out the Holy Spirit tickets and gave her the dates. She said, we can take Keith!
Can you come in tomorrow to update his paperwork. Yes, if only she knew, I'd be Walking After Midnight, if necessary.
Anyway, from midnight to midday, it was all changed in the Twinkling of His Eye.
I wanted you to know so you could help me thank and praise the Lord!
And for helping to prop me up on all four of my leaning sides, while I was in God's Waiting Room

Much Love and Many Prayers, including those I pray when I have no time to write.

  39. " Spending time alone with Me is essential for your well-being. It is not a luxury or an option; it is a necessity." Absolutely Amen!
Our complete wellbeing depends on it.
My time alone was split into five segments today. (due to different reasons) Each as blessed as the other, but each quite different. One day the fellowship between our Lord and those who love Him will last forever. Blessed thought!

Strengthen him in every way, and take away the swelling in his legs, give him clarity of mind, and heal every infirmity in his body. You know he trusts in You and we trust in Your Word, Your Promises and Your Faithfulness. We are waiting on You and praying in the powerful Name of Christ Jesus, our Risen Lord. Amen.

    And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
