Keep your eyes on Me! Waves of adversity are washing over you, and you feel tempted to give up. As your circumstances consume more and more of your attention, you are losing sight of Me. Yet I am with you always, holding you by your right hand. I am fully aware of your situation, and I will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear.
Your gravest danger is worrying about tomorrow. If you try to carry tomorrow's burdens today, you will stagger under the load and eventually fall flat. You must discipline yourself to live within the boundaries of today. It is in the present moment that I walk close to you, helping you carry your burdens. Keep your focus on My Presence in the present.
Psalm 73:23
English Standard Version
Nevertheless, I am continually with you;
you hold my right hand.
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
God is always there. Even in the midst of temptations, He is there providing a way out. We need to surrender to the Lord in adversity because our struggles are not a surprise to Him. Stay surrendered to the Lord today and let Him take care of the future.
My Prayer
Lord, help me to keep my eyes on You. Lord, you have created all so understanding me and my challenges and adversities is something You can handle. Help me to trust this. Lord, you know my tendency. It is to stay busy and active, to the point that I just don't think about the trials or difficulties. But maybe that is a good thing for it keeps me not thinking about those trials. Just keep me focused on eternal things.

"You must discipline yourself to live within the boundaries of today." Difficult enough to do, yet I consistently analyze days, weeks and months ahead. No doubt, fearing that I will not be in control of future events.
ReplyDeleteFather, I know You desire us to focus on today and that is my goal. But help me to be attentive to obvious future events so that a plan to deal with them is accomplished with a spiritual mindset and within Your will. Thank you for holding my right hand. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Father, forgive me for the times I worry over things I can’t control, and help me to find my rest in You.
DeleteThinking of you dear MadFox. Praying you are encouraged and empowered by God who holds your future. He is in your corner and in your heart.
DeleteAmen and agreeing, Jeanne. ❤️
DeleteAmen MadFox.
DeleteThe light of God surrounds you, mad🦊 - and us all! Be at peace knowing this is the Truth.
DeleteThis is a wonderful prayer ! As we plan for future events may they be in a spiritual mindset and according to God's will. I love that reminder
DeleteGod's NO is a GREATER YES!
DeleteGod's NO is a GREATER YES!
DeleteThanks for this. It helps me Keep my focus on today's devotion, His Presence in the present, and knowing/trusting HIM with seeing and holding my future - always! HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN. Amen
You must discipline yourself to live within the boundaries of today.
DeleteMaybe a spiritual shock collar would help me 😉
🤣 # METOO!
DeleteYou know my needs, Father. Praying for restored health and the ability to get through this day, one minute at a time. Yes - thank you for holding my right hand.
ReplyDeleteDear Norah! Had you and your DH in my prayers. Hope all went well and smoothly.
DeleteI’m so thankful everything went well and God showed you and your Hubby His faithfulness. Hallelujah
DeleteAmen!
DeleteLord please be with Norah , we pray that you will show her how to live one day at a time
DeleteThe price what Jesus paid for our sins and I don't think no Man can't stand the pain and suffering that our Lord Jesus Christ went through . Amen 💯➕ When God gives you something , can't no Man take it away from you ,. Amen
DeleteMy devotional time this AM was about living life simply having but one aim, to be near the Lord our God in all circumstances. Quote from the devotional: "It is better to want little than to have too much." For me, many of the opportunities to be anxious stem from too much complexity with which I have allowed in my life. The more simple my life is, the less there is to worry about. Interesting thought in this devotional, sometimes our efforts to "get God" through over indulgence in religious activities can also draw us away from simply loving God. (I have tossed that one in for whatever it is worth to you.) God be with you.
ReplyDeleteLove your message Bob - love the simple life. Praise God. KS
DeleteAmen.
DeleteThank you Bob.

I've been running in circles
Jumping the hurdles
Getting caught in that rush of doing so much
I'm feeling kinda worn out
All this checking the boxes
Trying to be flawless
Has me spinning my head, catching my breath
Too afraid to slow down
I tell myself to keep this up
That God wants more than just my love
But I've been complicating things
It's just like me to overthink
Gotta keep it real simple, keep it real simple
Bring everything right back to ground zero
'Cause it all comes down to this
Love God and love people (People)
We're living in a world that keeps breakin'
But if we want to find a way to change it
It all comes down to this
Love God and love people
Oh, this is freedom (This is freedom)
The keys to the Kingdom (Hey-ey)
Knowing life will be found when love can be loud
'Cause love is what it's all about
I tell myself to keep this up
That all God wants is just my love
No more complicating things
No more need to overthink
Gotta keep it real simple, keep it real simple
Bring everything right back to ground zero
'Cause it all comes down to this
Love God and love people (People)
We're living in a world that keeps breakin'
But if we want to find a way to change it
It all comes down to this
Love God and love people
Love is patient, love is kind
Rescues hearts and changes lives
Love is all we need to make things right
Gotta keep it real simple, oh
It's really so simple, oh-ooh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Gotta keep it real simple, keep it real simple
Bring everything right back to ground zero
'Cause it all comes down to this
Love God and love people (People)
We're living in a world that keeps breakin' (Oh yeah)
But if we want to find a way to change it (Find a way, yeah)
It all comes down to this (Everything comes down to this)
Love God and love people (Whoa)
Keep on loving, keep on loving
Love God and love people
So keep on loving, keep on loving
It's all about love
It's how we change the world
Love God and love people
So very true dear Bob. Thanks and Amen.
DeleteDear Brie, Thanks! Wonderful song. Keep it simple! Praise and Gratitude and Trust.
Danny Gokey is an all-time favorite of mine and LOVE this song, Brie! Thanks for sharing it with our JC family! His lyrics and those of Zach Williams are ALWAYS spot-on and SO speak to my heart. As Danny says, "It all comes down to this...Love God and love people"! Blessings of healing to Norah and her husband with his biopsy yesterday as well as MadFox's upcoming transplant at Emory with your RN daughter by your side who will think of the right questions to ask and also be able to interpret the medical jargon for you. Thank you, God, for placing all the right people in place for Norah's husband, Rick, and for MadFox...and ALL who are in need of healing whether emotionally, mentally, or physically. In you son, Jesus's name, AMEN!
DeleteAmen. Love that song! Love God’s steadfast message for us all!
Delete"love can be loud"!! Amen, amen, amen. Thank you for sharing and God bless all who have needs both loud and silent. We ask for your provision for those who need some love, kindness, food and you in their hearts. Amen.
DeleteSuch blessings, all the sharing and support that happens thru this blog. Thank you all, I high-five each of your prayers! 🙌 🙏 ♥️
DeleteSimplicity is the key ! Lord help us to know when we have enough and remind us where our focus should be .
DeleteSometimes we need to just sit on His lap. As usual many great posts and prayers knowledge and wisdom from you beautiful people over the years. Praying with and for all you loving saints. You're keeping it strong. Blessings Abound!!! :):):)
DeleteFather thank you for always being there for me & guiding me. I have been troubled lately but with you on my side I always get through. Amen 😇
ReplyDeleteHe is there all the time
DeleteI hope whatever you're going through lands in still waters.
Today is a new day. And though I don't struggle with any particular adversity, I struggle with the thought of what today will bring.. the unknown. Today's reading reminds me what I need to stay focused on and if I do, then there will be no need to feel anxious about what is to come. I love that he holds my hand through the day. I find comfort knowing his will is full of life and love. I love that he cares about me so much that he will always provide. He's with me always. We are blessed for such a gift.
ReplyDeleteReading about those of us who "look to the future", "store up for future struggles or hardships" "miss the presence of today"....I think of a talk by Francis Chan on The Lords Prayer. Jesus talks about "our daily bread" not bread beyond today. Not stock piling bread for the future out of fear. What God provides today is sufficient. Tomorrow we will be provided with "daily bread" and each day. Lord Jesus, give us the wisdom to rely on faith and trust that Your bread/blessings for TODAY IS sufficient. Amen.
ReplyDeleteAmen ABC 🙏.
DeletePerfect wisdom dear ABC. Thanks
DeleteAmen, thank you...
DeleteGood point, ABC. Brings to mind the Israelites journey to faith in the desert when they were instructed to gather only enough manna for the day in trust that the Lord will provide for tomorrow. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteHe is Here All The Time. Yesterday. Today. Forever, so we can live one day at a time.
DeleteAmen.
DeleteSeveral years ago I was dealing with a very aggressive cancer and had to have chemo once a week on Wednesdays. The chemo had caused sores in my mouth, nausea, my skin to peel off my hands and feet and several other side effects. My daughter who lived out of town would call me everyday. One Monday she called me and I told her I could not go on, I had 15 more treatments left and was going to quit. She kindly reminded me of the Israelites (as Bob says) in Exodus, where God provided Manna from heaven and told them to gather enough for that day. She told me not to worry about that coming Wednesday, but instead each day focus on what I needed from him for just that day and to set my sight on Him in that day and not the coming days. God was faithful to me each day as I looked straight into his face and not on the weeks ahead. I made it through and thankfully He met me everyday in my desert. Thank you Lord.
ReplyDeleteSuch an AWESOME reminder of the message of Sarah's devo has been sharing of late: TODAY, have the faith that He will hold you with His RIGHT hand. Thank you for being willing to add this today. Humbling for me and those in less difficult circumstances. God is using you here to help those struggling. Godspeed and prayers for a full and lasting remission. Amen
DeleteAnd The Lord pulled you through every last one of those chemos! Praise God! He will always pull us through, if we reach out and let him!
DeleteAmen.Thank you so much for sharing. God is so good. God bless you and all the JC family
DeleteHere 2 years later, it is strange to read PeasforChickens' comments and past journey, realizing that my past 5 months is an amazing "coincidence" as she represents every cancer patients eventual exhaustion of the process.
DeleteBut through so many friends and now people I've met through relationships in the past 2 years has enabled me to step 1 day at a time. Thanks to all here. An amazing God we serve.
Amen 🙏.
DeleteThanks PeasForChickens. Your post brings me back two years ago when I was going through very tough radiation. Stripping down to nothing and lying there on a cold hard slab, feeling totally alone in an empty room, except for the "machines" and in tears.
DeleteI imagined this to be what death must feel like. I did not have this site but a kind soul crocheted me a cross and another, made me a corded rosary. I was able to put them in my socks to feel God's presence.
Thankful to God that DH drove me 110 miles RT everyday for almost 2 months, when I could not drive myself. Somehow, I was able to make it through when I wanted to give up and quit. God is so good, so good to us. Thanks Be To God, in Jesus' Name. Amen
God Bless you sisters and brothers in Christ. I want to say I loved reading what you said here because you are all here now blessing us and sharing, while at the same time i'm sorry each of you went through this. All the uncertainty would really require your strengthened faith. I admire you for your determination and am also wishing I was there holding your hands and offering words of encouragement. My bible study leader told me a few years ago, "we all carry our own cross". Some seem heavier than others. Thank you for sharing your lives here in this family of believers. Love, Kathy
DeleteThanks Kathy,
DeleteAlong with all other JC family of prayer warriors, you do hold our hands and give us encouragement. We feel you Spiritually every moment of the day. I believe in the end, all of our crosses will go on a scale and be equal in weight. Different crosses, but equal in weight! Love You.
I was thinking the same thing. PeasForChicken’s post was written with your present situation in mind, dear MadFox. God is so faithful.
DeleteSweet Brie, So sorry you had to go through that dear Sister. Thanking God for carrying you through.
Amen dear Kathy! We all carry our crosses but the Lord is at our sides to share the burden.
Thanks Jeanne, but I was so blessed each day throughout the "trial"! Less than a block from the Radiation Center was a church with a Mass starting 2 hours before my radiation time. Every day DH and I were able to go to Mass first. We met a whole new wonderful church family who prayed with me, over me, and for me each day. How Blessed was that! God is so Good! He is so Good to us!
DeleteSo blessed by all who posted their journey here to conquer, fears, doubts,& hopelessness as they faced this dreaded disease. You guys of all people have experienced the goodness of our God. I salute each of you for your perseverance & unwaivering faith in the God of your salvation! Hallelujah!
DeleteYUUP! His Grace, Goodness, Mercy and Compassion bring us all through
DeleteBeautiful and courageous- thanking God for your precious Larry and God’s faithfulness to us all. Praying for strength and peace for all n this very moment! ❤️
DeleteYes, thank you Chickpeas, so blessed by your truth. Gods truth but in your life.
DeleteThere by the grace of God go I.
DeleteSending love and gratitude to all who share their stories here with us. What an amazing crowd to meet at the banquet table! ♥️♥️♥️
How are you today, Peas For Chickens? You may be out of sight, but you are still in our prayers 🙏
DeleteGood Morning JC Family,
ReplyDeleteI have read daily and as always, your prayers are mine. Such wonderful news about Lisa, Sassy Mom! What true grit! Continued prayers for her. I asked for prayers for my friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer and it is completely gone! The day they told her, they also said that they had found lymphoma. Of course, it sent her in a spin. I talked to her a few days ago and they are so minimal, that they aren't even treating her! They will watch her every 3 months. Praise and Glory to God! (her last words to me were, "Go get that mammogram!" Sigh.
Today my Best Man leaves for his adventure of a lifetime. I miss him already but cannot help but be excited for him and proud of him for pursuing a dream. The last month has reminded me of getting our kids ready for church camp...he is like a kid and his eyes are sparkling with excitement. Please pray with me for his safety, a smooth trip, and no issues! Remind him, Father, to get up on that long plane ride and move. I know You will protect him, my son and daughter in love.
And You will protect me and help me grow while he is gone. I have such excitement to see his face when he returns home to a new kitchen, orderly home and a wife who has more confidence b/c I am being forced to walk out on my believing and mean it when I say, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
"You must discipline yourself to live within the boundaries of today. It is in the present moment that I walk close to you, helping you carry your burdens. Keep your focus on My Presence in the present." I see so much discipline in so many of you on here. I yearn for that. Why is it that I could reign myself in, do what is needed and not even think about the discomfort of not serving myself, if it benefited anyone else, but I don't do it for myself? That's my million $ question. Maplewood, your words yesterday were so powerful. PeasForChickens - your story left me amazed last year and had the same effect today.
Lord, give me the strength and discipline to love myself enough to do what is best. Encourage me to get outside of this selfish mindset that if it doesn't feel good, or if it's outside my comfort zone, I'm just not doing it. Look what Your Son did for each of us so that we may have a more abundant life. I thank You for instilling in me the DESIRE to be my best for You.
Love and Blessings to each of you. Praying without ceasing for each of you and your requests. And I will send my dear Hub off without selfish tears and only joy for him and his adventure.
I love how you call him your 'best man'! So awesome!
DeleteNorah, lifting your friend up and all others that You bring forth for prayers. You are a blessing to them! The Lord shall bless you as you pray for others!
DeleteMaplewood NJ
Thinking of you dear Norah and your hubby! Praising God that all went well. Rest now dear ones.
DeletePTL! Norah & hubby for getting through all of what faced you. God is so good! Hallelujah!
DeleteNorah - Praising the Lord for the good news for our cancer friends. Praying safety for your husband. Praying you will be blessed with much love and companionship during his absence. Love and blessings to our JC Friends.
ReplyDeleteJoining the famuly thanking and praising God for the great news for Lisa! He is an AWESOME God!
DeleteTrusting Him for all others as well!
Maplewood NJ
Amen, Sassy Mom. And thank you for your prayers! <3
ReplyDeleteSassy Mom- wonderful news Lisa is through this part of her journey! She seems to be a strong woman!
ReplyDeleteNorah - great news about your friend with cancer! As an aside, you really should go get that mammogram. You will feel a sense of relief when you receive the "all clear".
keep holding onto Jesus' hand. He's working through you. I can tell your husband going on this trip is going to be truly difficult on some levels, but I also feel you are going to rise to some levels you may not have known you had in you. God truly has you through each moment. And remember to take things one moment at a time. Saying prayers for safe travels for your family and a trip full of blessings, love and good memories!
PeasForChickens - a very inspiring post! Thank you for sharing. CO
LUKE 9:22-25
ReplyDeleteFriends, in today’s Gospel, the Lord lays out the conditions for discipleship. He makes this demand: “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.”
Notice that this is not simply a question of accepting suffering that happens to befall one. This is not simply a Stoic resignation.
Jesus is telling us actively to take up our crosses, to seek them out, to carry them as he willingly carried his. What Jesus did on the cross was to bear the burden of the world’s sin. He bore others’ burdens in love. And this is what we must do: actively, proactively seeking out ways to lighten other people’s loads.
Reflect: In what ways can you go out of your way this Lent to choose one person in your life and lighten his or her load?
Thank you for your post, Suzanne R. The post from yesterday, Ash Wednesday, initially bothered me for it challenged us to do more than just work on the soul but to be proactive in living out the spirit of the Lenten season. But the longer I thought about it and in reading your post for today, the Spirit is affirming to me what you are saying. Though I will be stepping out of the gospel readings for the day as you are, I will be reading through Matthew 8-13 to observe Jesus being just that, proactive in fulfilling God's will for His life. So thank you for bothering me; it was a good bother. God be with you!
DeleteLOL. Glad I could be a bother. Hahahahaha
Delete"Create within me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10), the goal of the Lenten season.
ReplyDeleteSo often people understand a clean heart as one that does not do dirty (immoral) things. But what I have grown to understand is that a pure heart is one that has but one desire, to love God. An impure heart is one that has many loves (attachments) leading to all types of behavior. It is said Saint Francis of Assisi took a vow of poverty but it wasn't for the purpose of being without anything, rather it was to have but one thing, God. That would be a pure/clean heart. My objective this Lenten season is to desire a pure heart as Jesus had which brought blessing to all. So I prayed this morning for a pure heart. The answer I received was, "Follow me." So I have begun a reading of Matthew 8-13 to follow Jesus and observe a heart that is pure in action. I will be sharing in this blog during the Lenten season the experience I have in following Jesus. (I "love" the Lenten season, it brings me closer to the Lover of my soul.)
Be blessed this day, sisters and brothers in Christ. (In accordance with our JC reading above, I only pray for your blessing today. If/When tomorrow comes, I will ask the same then.) With love, Bob
God bless you Bob 🙏.
DeleteBe Blessed this day BOB.
DeleteJust For Today, I am praying your posts bless you as much as they bless us. In Jesus' Name. Amen
Would you mind letting us know if your church has any online Lenten services? And if so, at which ones will you be speaking? I got so much from those I viewed. Thanks.
Thanks Bob! Amen! You always bless and encourage me with your post. You so generously share your wisdom and your love.
DeleteThankful to You Father, for yet another day. What a joy and a gift to know that You are always with me, holding me by Your right hand. I Thank You Lord.
ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father, look upon us and hear our prayer during this holy Season of Lent. By the good works You inspire, help us to discipline our body and be renewed in Spirit.
Without You, we can do nothing. By Your Spirit help us to know what is right and to be eager in doing Your will. Help us to live by Your commandment of love and send Your Spirit to make us strong in faith and active in good works. During this Lenten Season, nourish us with Your Word of life and make us one with You in love and prayer. Open our hearts to Your love and prepare us for the coming feast of the Resurrection.
I ask this through our Lord Jesus, Your Son who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Wishing you all a blessed and fruitful day.

Beautiful Maplewood.
DeleteAmen sweet Maplewood! I especially loved:
DeleteWithout You, we can do nothing. By Your Spirit help us to know what is right and to be eager in doing Your will.
Thanks 💗
Yes ohhhh Janet and Jeanne, without Him, we can do NOTHING! Thank goodness for His Love and Faithfulness!
DeleteRemain Blessed sisters!

Jesus, please forgive me for the times I get too far ahead and worry about future events. Help me to stay focused on You in the present day. Please help me plan for obvious future events that cannot be ignored and require my attention so that I am prepared. Please keep me from all temptation in my times of weakness. Help me to remember to call on You in those times to dispell the evil one. In your name I pray.
ReplyDeleteAmen. I’m trying to stay in the present where He meets me but sometimes I let my mind wander to future unknown things and then I must remind myself to stay with Him right where I am. He is always with us in our times of weakness. In Him we are made strong again.
DeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteThanks For All of your prayers, JC Family!
ReplyDeleteJesus was "in it to win it" the entire day yesterday with my brother and the paperwork signing, and with me. I am exhausted and will provide more detail about God's Goodness and Mercy that got us through. But for now, I wanted our early risers to have a glimpse of this Victory step.
BOB: Thanks so much for the racehorse and pony story and visual. With it in mind, I clip clopped through the day with the ease and gait of a pony and it helped the situation tremendously; it actually allowed me to sense His presence throughout.
Like Norah, I read and reread all of our JC Warriors' prayers throughout the day. Yes, thank God, my brother is a Man Of God, and I am so thankful his brain didn't erase that.
I sang and hummed Norah's post, I Don't Know About Tomorrow (because we don't have to since we know Someone Who Does) and I Am A Child Of God, thanks to Audra's post. All of your prayers, posts, visuals, and songs provided a Holy Comforter around us that we could feel, more than thanks can thank!
Love to this JC Family. I kept you, your dear ones and your needs and prayer requests in my prayers all day as well. Good Night Late Nighters/Good Morning Early Risers! With Love To All of You, Brie
So glad to read about Norah and DH's Victory! And how she prayed her way out of the Waiting Room ;) Thanks Be To God. Amen.
Hallelujah and Amen Brie 🙏. So glad to hear about your victory in Jesus. Praise the Lord. God is so good always 🙌.
DeleteI add my Hallelujah and Amen also. I thought of you often throughout the day and i'm so glad to read your positive outcome. God is so Good!

DeleteHow are you and Chloe doing, our dear Mindy? Miss seeing you but hope you are still praying and reading JC.
DeleteFather, please help me to seek You continually. Help me to stay in the moment and not try to get ahead of myself in time - for tomorrow is not promised, it's a gift from heaven. Thank You Jesus. Praise the Lord continually and always 🙏.
ReplyDeleteAmen dear Janet. Joining in your good prayer.
DeleteWhat happens if I spend all of my today planning for and stockpiling for the tomorrows and the future, and tomorrow never comes?
ReplyDeletePS Asking for a friend ;)
DeleteIf I should do that (which is a human tendency) then I have missed wonderful opportunities to love for which I am created.
DeleteDear Brie. Each day is a gift to be carefully unwrapped and cherished and that is why it is called the present. Your friend must realize that. I love you my sister.
ReplyDeleteLoving Father, Thank You for being a source of refuge for me. I am so grateful that I can come to You in every situation and know that You are with me and for me always. I know that You will protect me from all evil. I believe that You will redeem the trials I face by strengthening my faith and drawing me closer to You.
ReplyDeleteAll of my tomorrows are in your capable hands and I thank You! Please help me to keep my eyes fixed on You no what I encounter In life. Thank You for always being faithful to me, giving me a way to escape, and not allowing me to be tempted and tested beyond my ability to resist. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
"God will make this happen, for He who calls you is faithful" 1 Thess. 5:24.
Blessings and Peace.

God's choicest Blessings to you our Dear Sweet Maplewood. May your health and strength abound in His Goodness, Grace, and Mercy, like Manna, one day at a time.
DeleteHow is your Mother?
Yesterday I was thanking my future Son in Love for all the many ways he has brought joy and strength to the relationship with my daughter. I reminded him that they are so blessed by God who loves them unconditionally. He said he just keeps trying to keep God happy. I reminded him that it is really easy to keep God happy... Just thank Him for EVERYthing, the good, the bad and the ugly, and trust in Him to make all things new. I continue to pray that he and my daughter come to know their need for salvation through Jesus Christ as a joy, not a burden. Thank you Father for blessing them with so much as they navigate the purchase of their new home and plan for a beautiful wedding when it is safe in their minds to gather in a big way in celebration with all families and friends. I trust your perfect timing!

ReplyDeleteThanks for all your prayers for my Mom! She felt strong today so we took her to Church and then out for a bite to eat. God is so good to us and your prayers are working. Walking is hard for her but seeing her smile so much was such a blessing. Praying for more answered prayers and waiting on the Lord.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear Jeanne that your mom is recovering more each day. I'm sure it does your heart good to witness God's mercy & faithfulness falling tenderly upon your family and yes, we all are waiting on the Lord. It shall be our strength! Blessings to you &, yours as always. 🙏💕

DeleteFather God forgive as I do this more than needed as we all do. Lord keep me humble, forgiving, gentle, kind, and most of all keeping hold of your hand. Lord I ask you now to please take the reigns and help me to surrender to your will always. I want to trust in you as you know everything from the beginning of time to my last breath of this life. I pray for clarity, wisdom, eyes to see, ears to hear, a heart that is sensitive to your holy spirit. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
ReplyDeleteGathering into your prayer, NatureAmy.
DeleteAmen!
DeleteDear Nature Amy, Amen and Amen. Joining in with my sisters. Wonderful prayer.
DeleteAnother day of relentless temptation from the adversary. Please give my friends the tools to deal with their situations outside the option of drinking spirits to console their issues. Please lead them through the keyhole of salvation into your Heavenly Kingdom of Love and Gratitude, where "thine will be done..."
ReplyDeleteYes, Friend of Bill, I am also joining into the Prayer That ALWAYS Succeeds: THY WILL BE DONE!
DeleteDear Friend of Bill, Joining prayers for your friends who are in need of God’s guiding Hand and His hedge of protection against the evil one’s traps. May God strengthen and save them and give them wisdom to see the truth. The alcohol won’t help. They need a clearer vision and a clarity of mind. Thank You Jesus!

DeleteThanks for that visual, Peter. It has stayed with me since your post.
Amen! That was a great post Peter! You shared your thoughts, memories and your heart.
DeleteThank you Lord for your peace found in this day. When I feel unsettled, it is because I turn my focus to an uncertain future: where we will live, how we will serve God, if those I love and beyond will find their need for your salvation. I give everyone and everything to you, Lord. Everyone and everything. Thank you for taking the burdens of my mind in exchange for daily peace with you.
ReplyDelete#METOO. In Jesus' Name. Amen

ReplyDeleteToday's devtotion reminds us that God is with us always, holding our rigbt hands, and He is fully aware of our situation. He will increase our bearability!
Dear Special Angels.
Keith was temporarily accepted into a Senior Living Center where he receives Physical Therapy 3 to 4 times each week. His Physical Therapist is fantastic! And so is the entire staff (except for Karen the naysayer)
Thanks be to God, Keith's muscle strength is stronger in his lower body than it was when he arrived.
We were able to extend Keith's stay through February 28. After which, the permanent resident is scheduled to move in and the Center will have reached its limit of 15 residents,so there will be no more room in the inn for Keith, unless God says otherwise!
It was a Miracle Door Opening God who made room in the firstplace, for Keith to reside there temporarily during February.
After visiting several places, we chose this one, but were told, Sorry Charlie, no room in the inn. The 15th and final resident is scheduled to arrive Feb 1.
On my way out to see Facility # 5, the owner of our first choice facility called to say that the permanent resident who was supposed to check in on February 1, didn't. Therefore they had room during February for a temporary stay.
During tbaf times, true friends, J &K, called to say we were welcome to use their condo on the beach for a few days. Praise the Lord for this gift.. And the beach filled up the holes and restored my parched and weary soul.
So I will leave March 1 and beyond in His Hands, while praying for Miracles to The One Who Opens Doors no one can close.THY WILL BE DONE!
Putting my hand in The Hand of The Man Who stilled the waters...
Much Love and Many Prayers for you and your dear ones,
Brie
Dearest Brie! Thanks for the update. Thanking God for arranging everything for you and Larry and Keith. We serve such a faithful God! What a blessing that Keith is doing well in this Senior Living Center and even getting stronger through his physical therapy! And that you and Larry are enjoying some special time together and God is restoring and renewing you both. Just what you needed. He sure does open doors for us and provide our needs! Praying with you that our Way Maker will make a way on March 1st. Hold on tight to His Unchanging Hand dear sister. He holds our futures in His Hands and rest assured His Word will not fail. Thank You Jesus!
DeleteProverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Dear Brie --- Standing in agreement with you. Our Mighty God makes a way when it looks like there is no way! In the name of Jesus, I paralyze the powers behind any form of progress interference for your circumstances, Brie. Father God, I trust You to unlock the door that need to be opened, loosen the things that need to be untied, and remove the hindrances that need to be taken away. I trust You to do what no one else can do, in ways no one else can work, doing wonders no one else can perform. I thank You, Father, that You will make a way. in Jesus' Name, The Promise Keeper and Our Way Maker, Amen and Amen.
DeleteGreat Love and Blessings to you, sweet Brie JJ
Hallelujah and Amen 🙏. Joining in prayers for Keith, Larry, and you, Brie. May our heavenly Father continue opening doors and making straight your paths. God is moving all the time and is guiding, strengthening, healing, and making the way for all of you. What great blessings! May He also prick Karen's heart and draw her to Him. Nothing is impossible for the Great I Am! In Jesus name, I pray, Amen 🙏. Shalom!
DeleteGood to hear from you dear Brie. God will come through as He always does. It's the uncertainty of waiting that we humans trip on. He came through for Keith in February, March is not yet here. He is a God of the twelfth hour. Never too early nor too late. He is faithful. Amen!💞🙏🌈
DeleteOur God moves mountains! He is our Waymaker! Father God, we ask for You to make what seems impossible possible for Keith, and if you have a facility that would be better suited for his needs, we thank you for directing Brie's steps to that right place. We put our trust in you, Lord, knowing You see what we can't. Thank you, too, Lord, not only for this miracle of Keith's temporary stay in the present senior living place with awesome caretakers (mostly...and we know you're working on Karen) but we also know you made the much needed respite and beach time for Brie and Larry possible! Just as you did these things, a door will open for Keith come March 1st! In Jesus' name, amen!
DeleteAmen and Amen and Amen! Dear Brie, our Almighty God can do all things and we all believe March 1st will take care of itself with God leading the way! Hallelujah!
DeleteJoining in the declarations for perfect outcome for Keith's care! We give all the glory to God who has the one and only perfect plan. In Jesus's name I pray for Brie and family, and all who come here in need, known and unknown. 🙏♥️
DeletePrayers always, Dear Brie! You are such an awesome example. Love to all of you, Norah
DeleteUPDATE: Keith now has a "permanent" bed in the same Senior Living Facility. Doors that were locked to him, swung open, in His Time, on August 1.
DeleteHe can, and does, truly open closed doors no one can close, no matter what!
He is Sovereign. We are not. Period.
Praise God for you and your prayers!

DeleteWhat an amazing video! Thanks dear Sassy Mom! God gifted that singer with such a wide vocal range that he could do all 4 harmonies! More glory to God.
DeleteDear Lord, help us to focus on today and You. I am bad about thinking about tomorrow and the next day. When I do stop and focus on You and the day You have me, my day is always calmer, and I’m closer to You.

ReplyDeleteFather God, This Winter storm has hit our area and the streets are covered with snow but there are other places hit by tornados, strong winds, ice storms, hail storms. There are people and families who have lost their homes and all their belongings and even their loved ones. We are praying tonight that you will protect Your people, lead them to warm shelters, food and water, support, provisions, and give them a strength of faith that will carry them through this wilderness. Surround your people with a hedge of protection and traveling safety. Give them wisdom to make the right decisions, and to evacuate when necessary and also guide them to a safe refuge and caring people. Thank You for your mercy and faithfulness. Thank You for all this in Jesus' Name. Amen

ReplyDeleteYour prayers greatly helped me activate today's devotion enabling me to Keep My Eyes on Jesus. Even when waves of adversity were trying to wash over me, I could sense His holding me by my right hand. Even when I had to take anti iodine reaction meds all throughout the night before. Even when the computers were down at the Imaging Center before I arrived, but working when I got there! Even when the Technician had to stick, poke and prod several times before a vein could be accessed. Even when the CT machine reminded me of the radiation machine.
Even then, I called on His Name, and thought of you praying.
All went well! Thanks be to God for your prayers, in Jesus' Name. AMEN!
PS I've Got Confidence, our Lord is going to see me through the test results. I am positive because the Interventional Radiologist did NOT come in to talk to me nor request more views, AND I got to take the gown off immediately after the scans! So far, so good. In Jesus' Name. AMEN!
Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus! Praise the Lord! Glory be to God! Our heavenly Father has you in His healing hands! He will comfort you and strengthen you as you wait on Him. Peace be with you 🙏.
DeleteBrie, praising the Lord for your experience! I know those who were with you in that setting saw God shining through you. Praying for positive results of the scan.

DeleteJoining warriors dear Brie . Your confidence & trust in Jesus will see you through the road ahead. He never waste whatever befalls us. He will use every part of your journey for the glory of His name and all the while mapping a roadway through the wilderness & leading you through it. Just wait & see dear sister! Wait in confidence! Hallelujah!🙌💕🙏
DeleteBrie: Put a good squeeze on the hand holding your right hand and feel the surge of power that mighty hand provides. You’ve got Jesus and all of us! Be blessed and at peace.

DeletePraise God! Joining the prayer warriors in rallying behind you Brie. He will bring you through this.
DeleteJumping in and joining this continued prayer party for our Brie! Sounds like in spite of some wrenches thrown down to trip you up here and there, you merely stepped over them not giving them a second thought! Way to go, sister-friend! God and your JC Warriors got you! So proud of your positive outlook and spirit because YOU KNOW WHO IS IN CONTROL! Continued prayers while you wait for the report. All IS well! I believe it! In Jesus/Jehovah Raphas' great name, AMEN.
DeleteGiving thanks for God’s faithfulness and continued good news along with our JC Family. I kept praying for you through my day imagining you were in the middle of all these tests and trials. I asked God to surround you with His peace and hold your hand. You felt all of our prayers cover you and you knew the Lord was in charge. You patiently waited on the Lord. We are only human and it’s so easy to lean on your own understanding in trying times like these but we know in our hearts we must follow the Spirit and exercise our trust muscles. We have seen our prayers answered so many times because we serve a good and faithful God. Love to you, dear sister. Awaiting more reasons to rejoice. Thank You Jesus.

And lean not on your own understanding;

Psalm 5:12
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
With your eyes focused on Jesus NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU, BRIE, WILL PROSPER! Any schemes trying to come against you, I push them BACK into the enemies camp! I trust Jesus's report and His Truth and Faithfulness.

ReplyDeleteLord Jesus I surrender to You; my self, my wife and family. I surrender my circumstances, finances, resources, my motivations and my health to You. I surrender today's journey through life to You. You are my Lord and Savior; statement of fact. I am fully Yours; statement of fact. Lead on Precious Lord.

DeleteDear Rich --- Echoing Brie's prayer for your daughter Gabrielle and you. Pleading The Blood of Jesus over the circumstances. Coming against the enemy to Squash, Mash, and TRASH the enemies schemes and plans. It is Written and I Decree and Declare that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST Gabrielle and the family will prosper! I am calling the Warring and Ministering Angels down, storming the gates of hell, trusting in God's promises and His VICTORY over darkness. I thank You, Lord for a quick BREAKTHROUGH for Gabrielle, Your Divine Intervention and Restoration of Health. In Jesus Name, Who empathizes with their pain and offers them comfort and hope, AMEN and AMEN
