Remember that Joy is not dependent on your circumstances. Some of the world's most miserable people are those whose circumstances seem the most enviable. People who reach the top of the ladder career-wise are often surprised to find emptiness awaiting them. True Joy is a by product of living in My Presence. Therefore you can experience it in palaces, in prisons...anywhere.Habakkuk 3:17-19
Do not judge a day as devoid of Joy just because it contains difficulties. Instead, concentrate on staying in communication with Me. Many of the problems that clamor for your attention will resolve themselves. Other matters you must deal with, but I will help you with them. If you make problem-solving secondary to the goal of living close to Me, you can find Joy even in your most difficult days.
English Standard Version
17 Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
19 God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me tread on my high places.
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
19 God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me tread on my high places.

Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and joy are in his place.

Heavenly Father, enter my heart, body, soul, mind and will today as I need you and desire to live close to you throughout the day. I seek the fruits of the spirit that are gained by focusing on you and having a close relationship with you. May I find Joy today no matter what the circumstances that I might face today.

Living my life with joy is a choice, and cannot be dependent on my circumstances. Today, Father, may my hope, trust, and joy be found in you alone.
ReplyDeleteAmen. ๐
DeleteRegardless of my circumstances, "I will take joy in the God of my salvation".
ReplyDeleteI know it's how Im suppose to be but often I find myself struggling. I always want to 'fix' things when knowing its on His time not mine.
ReplyDeleteUnknown, I believe we have all struggled with giving up our control, at one point or another, and letting God work. I know I have. I am not perfect, and I won't be until I'm in the presence of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Until then, I will pray for guidance and strive to do better from one day to the next. I am a work in progress. I surrender all that I am; body, soul, mind and will to the Lord and ask that His will be done in my life. Daily, we have the opportunity to start over fresh with a clean slate. Thank You, Father God, for always being with us especially through the most trying times. Thank You, Jesus. Praying for you, Unknown. May God bless you abundantly.

Thank you lord i am trying my hardest to retrain my brain to always draw near to you even when my path looks easy for that is when i need you as well. Praise jesus. Amen
ReplyDeleteThe difficulties of life...some of the difficulties of life are real (illness, change of circumstances for reasons beyond my control, the impact of others unloving ways), some of the difficulties of life are my own simply because I am not getting my way. For the latter, the blame is on me and I must realize I think I am God in desiring my will be done “in heaven as it is on earth”. Those difficulties are a red flag of what is going on in my soul. In the difficulties beyond my control, these are times to practice the truth of scripture, Zephaniah 3:16-18: “God is in our midst, a mighty Savior”. This I must practice embracing in my heart. Therein lies the Joy spoken of in today’s reading as I watch God working all things to good in His love for me.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Thank you so much for posting!! Your words really touched my mind and my heart. Great perspective. Thank you
DeleteWonderful truth, Bob! If we surrender to Him and have given Him the reins of our life, why do we so often grab the reins back. I do the same thing. He can handle whatever comes our way so much better than we can. Acknowledge Him in ALL things. He is with us always and mighty to save. Today I am reminded to stay firmly planted on the Rock and watch for His guiding Hand to lead me through my day.

ReplyDeletePsalm 91: 1-3
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say[a] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence.
When we abide in the shadow of the Almighty, the shadow comes because we are standing behind God. God is in front of us. He is the one who goes before us and stands between us and the enemy!

ReplyDeleteJust hosted a Mens breakfast at my home this past week and the talk was so in line with JC entry for today! Finding presence in God is a daily journey. A journey that is in hardship and blessings, on the beach or mountains or in hosptials and prisons! Our yearning for more needs to be filled with God and Jesus' way, not all the things of today: materialism, drugs, mean spirited behavior/outdoing others etc... dear Lord help me to find you each day. Help me to not seek out worldly things to fill a void that can only be filled by you--alone! Amen.
ReplyDeleteAmen. Here is a quote a mentor shared with me from St. Teresa of Avila:
Delete“Let nothing disturb you, nothing frighten you, all things are passing, God is unchanging. Patience gains all; nothing is lacking to those who have God: God alone is sufficient.”
I have been wrestling with this quote for almost a year, in His Grace, to slowly see it to become reality in my life. Slow seems to be the ardent word! Praying for my JC family.
Yes, thank you Keith...and St. Teresa "the great' of Avila!
DeleteABC Wonderful post from last year. Loved your heartfelt little prayer at the end too! Let us find perfect contentment, fulfillment and joy in the blessings from above that never fade away.

DeleteJC WARRIORS --- I am in great need of your prayers. Having a family struggle with a grown daughter. I so appreciate and love you all!
ReplyDeleteJJ - You got 'em!! We love you!!!
ReplyDeleteJJ, lifting you and your family struggle with your daughter. As we've seen so many victories on this site, ("The effectual, fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much," James 5:16), this situation too, will be resolved.
ReplyDeleteSassy Mom, I'm still reveling in Debi's test results and TJ, great news on your sister in law's test! A dear friend of mine sent me a text early this morning (she also reads JC), with this line in quotes, "If you make problem-solving secondary to the goal of living close to Me, you can find Joy even in your most difficult days." Her husband is the one with vascular dementia and I know some days are so hard for her.
As for me, I'm trying not to be overwhelmed with all I need to cram into 2 days before the work week starts again. We were blessed with some furniture from my sister and now I have way too much. I start thinking about that and then stop myself wondering what is WRONG with me?? LOL! Somebody will be blessed with our excess and we will be blessed to be able to walk through our house again.
Continued prayers for your Mom, Maplewood, and for Unknown, who lost his fiance. Keith, your poem says it all.
Enjoy this lovely day, JC Family. We can do everything that we need/want to do and continue to pray for each other. What a blessing.
Thank you, Lord for this new day, it's beauty and it's light. Bless all who follow this blog in their times of need with the awareness of joy. Your Presence carries us through all of our challenges. We thank you, trust you and love you all ways. -Grateful

ReplyDeleteTHOUGHTS ON INTIMACY WITH OUR LORD
ReplyDeleteThe fourth of four invitatory psalms is Psalm 67. If you are not in too much of a hurry this morning, why don't you pause for a moment and read it, get a feel for it.
Vs. 1 shows the strong desire to enter into intimacy with God. There is a desire to 'see' the face of the Lord, to be in personal contact. But then the rest of the psalm emphasis the purpose of being intimate with our Lord. It is not just for our own personal delight but ultimate, our being intimate with our Lord results in great blessing to the world. Scripture is very clear that God has chosen a people as His own for the purpose of making a witness to the world of His eternal merciful love and His faithfulness from age to age. This psalm clearly brings that out. From verse 1 which seeks the intimacy with God comes the purpose stated in verse 2, 'that Your way may be known upon the earth and Your saving power among all nations.' This then dovetails into verse 3 and is repeated in verse 5, an expressed desire that all people praise God. Verses 6 & 7 could be seen as a conclusion to our 'date' with God, a realization of being so blessed (loved) by God and a pray that it never ends (it won't) until the ends of the earth worship the Lord God. Again, see in the concluding verse, the ultimate end of our intimacy with God, for the witness it will make through us so that 'every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father'.
So why do I seek out this quiet time with my (and your) Lord? Simply for a feel good experience which it certainly is? The purpose of intimacy with our Lord goes beyond that. By my taking the time to enter into intimacy with the Lord, He molds my heart into a fashion in which I will be more loving and thus more reflective of His love for all. This is a part of His plan for the salvation of the world and this is the role He has given me in His plan to save all.
The other aspect that touches my soul in this psalm is the all inclusive nature of it. The word 'all' and other equivalents continually surface throughout the psalm. There is no evidence of any exceptions as human thinking has a tendency to have. We are called into intimacy with our Lord for the sake of everyone and that must be the manner in which we love as we go the way He has willed us to go. All means all! You never know who is being impacted in watching you be a loving person along the path of life.
Remember, as you live this day, you have spent your time here in order that you will be a blessing to all today. God be with you as you go. With love, Bob
Amen my brother! Any time spent in true fellowship with the Lord,is Never wasted time. Thank You for reminding/steering us in that direction! For me, there is NO better day with the Lord Out of it! I need Him, so I do everything I can to start and finish with Him. His Joy is my strength.
DeletePsalm 67, a great Invitation and Doxology, asking for God's mercy and His face to shine upon us! We need that every day! Yes, and let praises ring!
Remain blessed Bob!

DeleteYes, Bob, thank you!
DeleteThank you Bob. The Word, of course is inspirational. And your intro "if you're not too busy.." got me out of bed and straight to the bible. This is a really good thing and way to start a work week ๐
DeleteAmen dear Bob! Thank you for leading us ever closer to Him. Every morning when we rise in thanksgiving and praise, we are surrounded by His peace, grace and love. We know we are blessed and we know being near to Him is more important than any of this world's trappings. His light today is more precious than anything this day can offer. Let us in Him be joyous so others can see the treasure we hold. Let them hear the words of comfort and encouragement that His Spirit gives us to share. And as a gift back, let us not be lazy in our day but bear much good fruit to His glory!
DeleteAmen, Bob! "By my taking the time to enter into intimacy with the Lord, He molds my heart into a fashion in which I will be more loving and thus more reflective of His love for all. This is a part of His plan for the salvation of the world and this is the role He has given me in His plan to save all."

DeleteFather, help me to always remember that no matter what, You are with me always and forever. Thank You Jesus. Amen ๐.
ReplyDeleteAmen Janet! So comforting to know that He knows what we are faced with each day, so our choice to follow Him and do the right thing is so much more meaningful to Him. We must conciously make the effort to be more like Mary, choosing the right portion.
DeleteGood morning Jesus! The Joy of the Lord is indeed my strength. Thank You for another blessed and glorious morning to commune with You in praise, worship and thanksgiving before I start my day. I am nothing without You, but ALL things through Christ Jesus my Lord. I choose unspeakable joy while I worship and work. Thank You for Your grace that is sufficient for me. In Jesus’ Amen!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anyone NOT wanting joy in their life! We all want joy. Some of our natural desires are to experience joy, satisfaction and/or relief. This is all good, but let’s not mix it up. Real true fulfilled joy, is the greatest Joy found in Jesus! Because a life with Him is far more better than anything we can ever imagine. Knowing Jesus intimately and being reconciled to God the Father through Him is the only way we will ever find the best most pleasurable, everlasting and irreplaceable joy ever known!
Nothing in this world will ever take the place of this JOY in Christ Jesus! And the sooner folks come to this conclusion, the sooner they’ll embrace it and live in His joy. If we have lost intimate fellowship with our maker, the greatest joy of life in His kingdom is pursuing and recovering the intimacy we lost.
We have been given unlimited personal access to the One and ONLY KING of this world through prayer, we are co-heirs to Christ, we have the Word of God that holds the riches to His Kingdom, we’ve been given the Holy Spirit and we’ve been set free from the bondage of slavery!! These my brethren, defines the pure, real JOY we should desire!
Dear Father, May we always be reminded that the Joy of the Lord is our strength and will always be. Your Joy is unlike any other this world has to offer us. Your Joy gives us hope, trust, peace and rest and reassures us that You are in control. We thank You. May Your Joy overwhelm us through every awakening moment, for the sake of Your Son Jesus. Amen.
This song is right on!
This Joy that I have the world didn’t give to me
This Joy that I have the world didn’t give to me
This Joy that I have the world didn’t give to me
The world didn’t give it the world can’t take it away…..etc.!
Blessings and Peace.

BEACH DEVOTION: BEACH PLAY
MY PRAYER FOR US:
Dear Heavenly Father God,
While watching dogs and children play on the beach, they are unleashed, unbridled, unhindered while drinking in all the joy your beach expanse offers. They too have cares, yet they run, jump, and cavort out of the excitement and joy they feel at having a large play area and freedom to let loose. We too have a reason to rejoice when we recognize our need for forgiveness and the expense of Your grace-filled Forgiveness to us anytime, anyplace, anywhere, anyone! Even now! Even us! That is reason to celebrate! That is reason to rejoice in Your Goodness now! Anytime. Anyplace. Anywhere. Anyone. Any means Any!
In Thanksgiving for Your Grace Filled Forgiveness, and all the ways we can have the doglike and childlike experience of Your Goodness, would You help us Rejoice today? Anytime? Anyplace? Anywhere?
On behalf of our JC Family, I ask. I seek. I knock. I thank in Jesus' Name. Amen!
JC: REMEMBER THAT TRUE JOY IS A BY-PRODUCT OF LIVING IN MY PRESENCE. THEREFORE, YOU CAN EXPERIENCE TRUE REJOYCING EVERYWHERE!
Dear Heavenly Father, even though I have been ill the past few days, I am rejoicing in all the healing you are doing while I get to rest! And I am praising God from whom all blessings flow!
DeletePraying with all and for all even when I don't comment. With Love, Brie
OOPS! expAnse of Your grace-filled Forgiveness...
DeleteAmen, Brie! May we all be as carefree and rejoice in the Lord like children and dogs playing on the beach. What a picture that paints. I love it! Also, praying healing mercies over you. May you soon be feeling better so you can run and jump on the beach. Sending love and His light your way. ❤

Love it Brie! We are all God’s children and I am blessed that my inner child is very active and loves to run around in the grass. Had my little Bible group last night and I was telling my dear sisters that they should stop during the day to spend time with the Lord and feel the peace and joy of being in His presence. One of them was talking about the fact that people aren’t going to confession. I said if you have a sin burdening you, just bring it to the Lord in true repentance and He will forgive you. He wants you to come to Him so He can lighten your load. He already knows our hearts.
DeleteAmen Brie! The only true joy we find is in His presence and peace. And the beauty of His creation never fails to lift my spirit! Every day I get out of my apartment and fill my eyes with blue skies, beautiful clouds, trees dressed in their fall colors and pretty flowers. It warms my heart and lifts my spirit. I pray when I walk under His glory and I know He is with me always.
What do you do when you have nothing to fall back on? Habakkuk would tell you, fall back on God, and he will hold you up. “Though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” Think about Job in the Old Testament. This was exactly the question Satan asked God about Job. “Does Job trust you because he trusts you, or does he trust you because you have blessed him?” Job passed the test when God removed the blessing, and Job continued to trust him no matter what. Habakkuk challenges us with the same question. Do you really trust God, or do you only trust him when you know his blessing on your life?
DeleteFather God, I thank you for blessing me with a new day to seek and serve You. As I go about my day, please help me to remain in constant communication with You. My days are the brightest when You are near. If I start to lose focus, gently guide me back to You, Father God. In You I find my greatest joys and happiness. In You is where I will dwell. Thank you, Lord, for never leaving nor forsaking me. You are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. You never change. I ask, Lord, that you change me, fix me, heal me. In You I put all of my trust for You alone are the most High God. Thank you, Jesus, for sending Your Holy Spirit to guide my steps. Guide me, Father God, to where You want me to be, and may Your will, not mine, be done. For all these things and more, I ask, I thank, I pray, in Jesus Holy name. Amen
ReplyDeleteMay I ask all of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to join me in praying for my cousin, Tommy, who is currently in county jail awaiting trial. He has tested positive for Covid-19 and is experiencing symptoms. As of yesterday, he was having trouble breathing. I know God holds him in the palm of His hand, and I am trusting in the Lord to work it all out for His Glory. I know Jesus is with him. All he has to do is open the door and invite Him in. Lord, breathe Your spirit into my cousin that he may hunger for You. Thank you, Lord.
Lifting up all JC family prayer requests confidently to the Throne of Grace. He is more than able for even the toughest problem or concern. There is no problem that is too big for my God. Praying His will be done in all matters great and small. God is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. In Him we can lay down all of our cares and concerns knowing He is in control of the situation. God will make a way when we see no way. Thank you, Father God for Your faithfulness.
May you, my JC family, feel His presence throughout the day, feel His power at work in your lives, and remember just whose you are. We are children of the the Most High God, and He is Mighty to save. Amen!

Amen Rose Thank you for your beautiful prayer. Sending healing prayers for Tommy. May he seek refuge in the Lord as He opens his heart and soul to His Presence.
DeleteBlessings from France
Rose, I share in your beautiful prayer. Praying for your dear cousin Tommy. He is on a rough road but God is able to turn it around. May God heal him of his Covid and bring him back to perfect health, open his heart to surrender to Jesus, strengthen his faith, guide the trial and make a way for him. Amen! God can do all things at all times. Trusting in His faithfulness. May He also comfort your dear heart, Rose.
DeleteStill beautiful and poignant today, dear Rose. Thank you. ❤️
DeleteThanking God that he is our unchanging Joy.
ReplyDeleteWe're in need of prayer for family members that are in turmoil. Satan is using selfishness and stubbornness to alienate our grandson from his mom and stepdad. Please pray that he will return to his knowledge of God that can guide his steps.
Our Heavenly Father, keep us in your Joy in spite of the pain we feel from family turmoil. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
Praying for your family 10-4. May the Lord strengthen and comfort you all and lead your grandson back to Him in perfect peace. We trust you Lord. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
DeleteBlessings from France
Praying that he is led back and the Lord comforts and gives peace to the rest of the family while they are patiently waiting on You to do Your wonderful work Lord. Amen ๐.
DeleteDear 10-4, Praying that God will open your grandson’s eyes and soften his heart so he will know the truth and come back to God and his good parents. His loving Father knows all things and is mighty to save. Trusting Him and thanking Him for His faithfulness. Amen.
DeleteHelp me holy spirit to not worry about all the tomorrows, but to embrace and rejoice in the moments of today. Amen ๐.
ReplyDeleteGod holds our tomorrows in His Hands and He wants His beloved children to be blessed and prosper. His Spirit comforts and instructs you every day. The Lord never leaves your side. Stay in this day with Him and remain thankful and hopeful. He is guiding your path as you do your best to please Him. I love you.
DeleteHave a blessed new day dear ones. Praying God will flood your paths with His light, warm your hearts with His love, and surround you with His joy and peace. Looking forward to more answered prayers and reasons to rejoice and be glad. Thank You Jesus!
ReplyDeleteAmen Jeanne! Let us rejoice and be glad!
DeleteThank you dear Jeanne for the blessing. I give it to you also, pressed down & overflowing. Amen
DeleteThank you, too, Jeanne! Your words are like a warm blanket wrapped around me this morning. Just what I needed. Sending warm blessings back to you, sister! Thank you, Jesus, for our Jeanne! Amen!
DeleteAmen and thank you Jeanne. Well spoken words of blessing. I also want to send them right back to you!
DeleteThanks for all the sweet blessings that rained down on me today. Sending you a giant hug and much love.
DeleteReflecting your beautiful blessing back to you all day and evening, Jeanne. Every day!
DeleteGot caught up in a rain storm yesterday.....you all need to visit Nairobi ....you know why ...it can be sunny in one minute and then raining in the next ! so yesterday I had just done shopping and I was walking along and it just started raining I had no umbrella and no sweater! I priased God in the storm , I sang , I prayed till I got home soaking wet but thanking God for the blessings
ReplyDeleteAmen Min Ahadi! Thank You Jesus! God bless!
DeleteDear Min, it might not have been your choice to get caught in the rain, but it was your choice to sing praises to the Most High in the midst of it. Inspiring. Bless you sister ๐
DeleteSo great to have the positive spirit in spite of the unexpected rain, Min! Makes me think of the Casting Crown song, "Praise You in this Storm"! Thanks for sharing!
Deletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YUGwUgBvTU
Singing in the Rain! With Thanksgiving and Praise! Hope you got warm and dry and drank a cup of tea when you got home.
DeleteDear NJS, I do love that song and we've all gone through hard times and even though God didn't take our trials away, we knew He was walking through them with us. Sent the link to my Mom and Sis for their comfort and encouragement. Thanks <3
Rain. What a concept! Please pray some into our dry, dry state of California where we need nourishment for our land and cleansing from evil.
DeleteStill praying for that rain here in northern CA. Holy Spirit, wash us clean and remove the planks from the eyes of those who can't see.
DeleteMy brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4). But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when His glory is revealed. (1 Peter 4:13). May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13).
ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father, thank You for the joy that Your Presence brings to my heart. You are so wonderful. I am so sorry for the things I do, say, and think. I am not perfect, but I am grateful. I don't always see things clearly when and as I should, but later they may be revealed to me in a different way or perspective and it is very eye opening. Please forgive my shortcomings and hardheadedness. I am continuously learning and growing and, unfortunately, making mistakes as I go. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Your forgiveness and love is priceless. I don't deserve it, but You give it to me lovingly and abundantly. Thank You Jesus. I praise You Lord always. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
Janet, this could so be me as well. I am still on the potter's wheel! Thank you, sister for those verses and your words. May your day have unforeseen blessings!
DeleteMy prayer too sweet sisters. We are so weak in our human emotions. Before we trust in God, we sometimes panic when things go wrong. I am trying to call out His Holy Name whenever I am faced with a difficult situation. As soon as I say JESUS, everything gets better and I am filled with such a sweet calmness because He is fighting my battle, figuring out the answers, lighting the darkness, and strengthening my weary heart.
DeletePraising Him with you dear Janet. We are so loved just the way we are. Thankfully, He is not expecting perfection, just our love, trust and good efforts. Let us do our best today to bring love, comfort and encouragement to everyone we meet or speak to, and try to pay His faithfulness forward.
Sweet NJS, I am also still on the potter's wheel and blessed to be the clay inside His Hands.
Me too Jan! Under construction. :)
Yes and Amen, Janet!
DeleteThank you dear sister for reminding me that, I am still under construction! Bless your day๐
ReplyDeleteStill trying to have patience with myself in the construction zone. Help me Jesus ♥️๐
DeleteGood Morning - what a beautiful morning, Dear JC Family. I am thankful for the wonderful night's sleep I received and have spent a lovely time in the Word - so peaceful.
ReplyDeletePlease pray for my sister and her family and friends who lost their beloved Vicky on Sunday. She was so ready to go to sleep and have her next sight be the face of her loving Lord and Savior. She truly knew her future and was perplexed as to why she was still her. Yet, even in her last days, she blessed so many and shared God's Word with all who came to see her.
My dear friend who had COVID is recovering, very slowly and now her husband has it. It may be another week or more before we get together, which is a first in all of the years we've been friends. We haven't had our Monday Nt. Ladies Fellowship for 2 weeks and it may be another before we see each other. But, we pray without ceasing and know He cares and hears. Hers is the husband with vascular dementia who I have asked for prayers before. Please pray that his energy is restored and that he is comfortable and that his dear wife has the energy to continue to care for him. Praying for all of my adult children and their families, for the Oct Birthday dinner planned for the 17th - that we are able to do it and see each others' faces. Praying for my transition at work...so many things are still TBD but I know they will be in due season.
I pray as I read through all of these requests and see the years that we have supported one another in pray and love and laughter. Victories and sadness but always recognizing our many blessings. Have a wonderful day, JC Family. I'll continue to pray for each request.
God in His wondrous mercy lifted Vicky out of her misery and carried her Home to a beautiful peaceful rest. No more pain and suffering. God's promises will be realized and she will look upon His beautiful Face.
ReplyDeleteFather God, Thank You for resting Vicky's sweet soul and providing comfort and strength to Norah's sister, family and friends. Thank You for continuing to heal Norah's dear friend and her husband with dementia. You are so much greater than Covid. They need Your amazing healing power and strength right now. We trust in You, rest in Your promises, and thank You for all this and for all to go well with Norah's family dinner and transition at work, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Amen!

Thank you Jeanne for your words and your prayer, as I struggle with letting my emotions lead me instead of Jesus. Your reminder helps us to focus on our Lord and the trust that only He can bring. I will seek His help throughout the day and keep Him close in my soul, mind, body and heart. I will be still and trust Him!๐
ReplyDeletePraying for Norah and her husband, specifically on their treatment plans and the home repairs, etc. But, of course also for all here. May we see today's obstacles as merely temporary as we walk in the light of His presence. GODSPEED! Amen.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, Norah. I just read yesterday's post. I eat just about anything, but your husband and I not only share MM, but a mutual sweet potatoe aversion, which my wife loves. So on potatoe nights it's one baked, one sweet!! And sea salt fries... no sweet potatoe fries either! Hmm. Maybe we both should start, good for the heart and maybe MM! All the best next 2 weeks of appts. etc. In Him, and Peace be with you.
DeletePraying with you, dear MadFox, for Norah’s DH that the many treatments and appointments will go well because our Great God is in charge. Keeping you always tight in my prayers, my good brother!
DeleteRick hates sweet potatoes too and I love them. So I bake a regular potato for him and a sweet one for me. When I roast them I put my sweet potatoes on the opposite side of the pan. Thanks for making me smile on this gray and rainy day. Good thing God’s joy and peace are not dependent on circumstances and the weather. Blessed we are and blessed we will remain. ๐๐๐
Amen! Good posting thank you Jeanne
ReplyDeleteJoining in prayer with you Jeanne. We are weak in our humanity and need the Lord desperately. Let us humble ourselves and surrender our hearts, minds and souls to Him. Heavenly Father, please continue to mold us into the people You created us to be. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen ๐. Thank You Jesus and praise God always ๐.
ReplyDeleteAnyone heard from Maplewood, NJ lately? I miss seeing the postings, they're a blessing.
ReplyDeleteShe and Bob Malsack have pretty much stopped posting regularly.
DeleteI find if you have 1 or 2 comments on a day's thought that it is hard to really offer much more in relevance unless you can tie to a personal change or to a specific posting by another blogger's situation or thoughts. Enjoy your posts Peter. Godspeed.
DeleteI sure do miss them both so much, but their words of wisdom, encouragement and God’s truth are always relevant. I’m sure they are still serving the Lord in wonderful ways.
DeleteWhat would you do if nobody posted ???
DeleteI miss LoveConquerorsAll, too. I keep all 3 of them: Maplewood, Bob and LQA, in my prayers. Been thinking about TERRI, too. Some things are only for a season. This Blog may not be for everyone and that's OK. But, we still keep those we've come to know in our prayers. This has served as sort of a Diary for me. I look back and read where we all were, years ago and we were together, praying for each other. I appreciate all of the insight, honesty, requests and victories. So, we walk by the Spirit and keep in touch with those we're able to.
DeleteOops - that was me - posting above. :)
DeleteToday I said extra prayers for each name in today's posts, regardless of the year they posted. I am sure God will let them know they are still loved and their gift is still appreciated, wherever they are.
DeleteSharing a prayer from Michael Youssef Daily Devotions.
ReplyDeleteLord, bring Your church to repentance and start with me! May I never add to Your perfect Gospel of grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He alone is my rock and my righteousness. Let me not be a stumbling block to Your Truth by adding or taking away from the pure and simple Gospel. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Your prayers have been answered, our dear dear sister friend in Christ, Sassy Mom. You are a guidepost to His Truths.
DeleteAmen. Thank you dear Sassy Mom. May God cover your path with bright light today.
DeleteYes Brie!, Our sister sure is a faithful servant of the Lord, guiding us to His truth.
I learn so much from you, Sassy Mom! Praying for you, every day. As Brie and Jeanne said, you are a guidepost for so many of us and a faithful servant of the Lord. Love you, Sassy Mom!
DeleteTerri, missing you. Continuing to Pray HIS presence, love, guidance and healing for your broken heart.
ReplyDeleteYes, our TERRi. You are loved and your posts are missed. Whenever you are ready, i will count it as joy to hear from you. You are always in our prayers.
DeleteIn Jesus' Name. Amen.
Miss you too, dear Terri, Always in our thoughts and prayers. We understand how hard this time is, and we love you. God is walking each step with you and dear Sassy Mom, and He knows your hearts.
DeleteAmen. So blessed that he loves us all in our imperfections. That is such a comfort. When I slip, I know He will lift me right back up. Hallelujah!

ReplyDeleteNo Chance Meetings
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. — Psalm 121:8.
All your movements, your goings and comings, controlled by Me. Every visit, all blessed by Me. Every walk arranged by Me. A blessing on all you do, on every interview.
Every meeting not a chance meeting, but planned by Me. All blessed.
Not only now, in the hour of your difficulty, but from this time forth and for evermore.
Led by the Spirit, a proof of Sonship. “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God,” and if children then heirs — heirs of God.
What a heritage! Heirs — no prospect of being disinherited. “Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ: if so be that you suffer with Him that you may be also glorified together.”
So your suffering has its purpose. It is a proof of Sonship. It leads to perfection of character (the being glorified), and to Union with Me, God, too. Think of, and dwell upon, the rapture of this.
According as he hath chosen us in him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be
holy and without blame before him in love.
Ephesians 1:4
Yes, Jeanne - we are Joint Heirs with Christ. Love you, Sister!
DeleteAmen. Love you right back dear Norah!

ReplyDeleteThe righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. (Psalm 34:17-18). I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13).

ReplyDeleteJC Warriors, asking for you to lift up my brother’s wife. I’ve asked for prayers before. She had breast cancer 5 years ago; it came back last Fall. ReplyDeletePrayers for Dave! ๐๐๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteJoining in prayers for Dave, Audra, Anonymous's SIL and Rich C. The Lord makes a way when there doesn't seem to be a way. I Declare over you: Blessings, Life, and God's Great Healing/ Restoration, God's Plan, God's Will, and the Joy of the Lord. The Lord prepares a table in the presence of our enemies. WE EAT THE VICTORY MEAL!!! Declare your FREEDOM from the enemy's darkness. Say what you want. Don't complain or you'll remain! Resist the enemy with the WORD and he will flee in the name of Jesus. Don't listen to anything the enemy is saying. Tell him-IT IS WTITTEN-- then read or recite a scripture that speaks to your situation. God's word does not return to HIM void. He watches over His WORD to perform it! Sending Warring and Ministering Angels to surround you and keep you in all your ways. In Jesus's name, I Pray and Believe, AMEN and AMEN.
DeleteAmen dear JJ. Declaring victories with you in Jesus’ Name to God’s glory!

Please pray for my good Mom. She lost her balance and fell on her side on Wednesday night. Her condition is deteriorating and she needs my help more than ever. She hurt her shoulder, neck, back, and head. Trusting God is already healing her. Please pray for her and for my cousin Beth who starts chemo in 3 days for stage 3 lung cancer. Believing God is already shrinking her tumor. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
BELOVED JEANNE, Continued comforting supernatural healing prayers for your good mom, and a great big bandaid to cover her shoulder, neck, back and head. Praying the presence of Jehovah Rapha for your cousin Beth who begins chemo for her lung cancer.
DeleteBoth of my sons are attending Tres Dias retreat. I am asking the Lord to fill them both with His Holy Spirit, to help them give Him full permission in their lives. To open their eyes to fully understand His grace and mercy. I’m believing God this weekend is the foundation setting for the rest of their lives. Their adult hearts being opened to the Lord for a life forever changed. Praying for their families to receive all that God has in submitting to Him.
ReplyDeleteEchoing your prayers for both sons.
ReplyDeleteDearest Jan --- Lifting you up to The Throne of Grace. Our Father God sees the deep pain you've carried, and His heart is always toward healing and restoration. Psalm 147:3 It says, 'He heals the the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.' I believe that this healing is coming to you in every way, not just physcially, but to any of your hurts and struggles. As you release the habit of smoking, I'm praying that God also releases you from the pain that has been weighing on your Your body and heart, bringing you peace and wholeness.
ReplyDeleteI Decree and Declare that by the stripes of Jesus, Jan is healed, in every part of her body, with no negative side effects. Isaiah 53:5
I SPEAK to the pain and smoking habit that tries to bring affliction to Jan. I curse the root of these afflictions. You cannot live in her body because she is filled with the Fire of the Holy Spirit. You cannot hide in any part of her body. You cannot come back into her body...ever! She is not a carrier. She ONLY carries the love of Jesus Christ!
I Decree that the answers to these Declarations are on the way from the Thrones of Father God and Jesus in heaven via the Ministering Angels, God's healing hand, and the Holy Spirit. And Father God, we give you ALL Glory and Honor. In Jesus's Name, AMEN and AMEN.
I'm joining in your prayers that our amazing God is healing dear Jan in every way and helping her to kick her smoking habit, and healing any physical problems she and her loved ones may be having, and every weakness of any kind in their bodies, minds, and spirits. I decree and declare that she and her dear ones are healed by His Stripes, covered by His Blood, and covered by His Word. Thank You dear Father for this in the powerful Name of our Risen Lord, Christ Jesus. Amen!
ReplyDeleteOh, bless you Jeanne. You showed me I needed to put Janet's name in there, but I am Declaring over all this JCFAMILY our Great Lord's Healing. If any of the Declarations touch part of you, CLAIM IT! I will stand with you for your answers. Decreeing and Declaring God's Abundant Life over the INCREDIBLE JCFAMILY/WARRIORS. In Christ you are called to a life of freedom, healing and wholeness. I Declare that every chain that has held you back is broken, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding is flooding your hearts and minds. I speak strength into your spirit that you will walk in VICTORY, knowing that the Lord is fighting for you.
DeleteHis grace is sufficient, and His power is being made perfect in your weakness. (Thank You Lord, for I certainly have some weaknesses to contribute.) I Declare, Restoration, Joy, and Abundant Life to every corner of
your lives, In Jesus's Name, AMEN and AMEN.
I loved this devotion because a lot is going on in our lives and in our apartment right now. Our apartment looks like a stock room with every room packed with stuff from the boys' room. But the ceiling is replaced, thank God, and the men are coming to fix the cracked walls of the boys' room and to eventually paint it. Our own bedroom ceiling and walls are in terrible shape but the cracks don't look dangerous. God will continue to keep us safe and we're blessed to have a roof over our head when so many people are homeless and going through such hardship. I'm blessed. God allows the valley times to draw us to Him. For the past 3 or 4 days I've been getting swelling on the top of my cheek right below the circle of my left eye. It may be an allergic reaction. I've been praying whenever I can and I know God is with me and all will be well. Rick still doesn't have a date for his Moh's surgery but I believe all will be well in God's perfect timing. Anyway, God gave me a wonderful surprise today. I was in CVS on line and the woman in front of me looked familiar. As soon as I heard her voice I remembered who she was. Paulette my dear sister in Christ! When she turned to look at me, she said I know you. Then we both said: The Gospel group at the Nursing Home! We used to meet at the Nursing Home where I was a volunteer musician. Paulette and I were part of the Wed morning Gospel group for quite a few years. I haven't seen her since before Covid! So much joy! We hugged each other and spoke for a while and we praised God that He had taken care of us! Seeing her was such a sweet gift from God! I sure hope we meet again soon! Today's devotion says: "If you make problem-solving secondary to the goal of living close to Me, you can find Joy even in your most difficult days". Amen and Amen! He continues to shine light into every day! I'll be babysitting little Evelyn on Sunday and that will bring me more joy! Praying for you, my dear JC Family, and with you for so many others on our prayer lists, and all those suffering because of the violence of this world, the destruction and effects of Hurricane Helene, the pain of physical and mental illness, and all the ungodliness of this world. May we just keep praying, keep trusting, and keep sharing God's love, mercy, compassion, and comfort. We can only do so much in a day. But we can make a difference. I've been praying that God helps me to make a difference in the lives of my family, friends, neighbors, and those I care about. So many people need our help. They need us to put some light and joy and comfort in their lives. Thank You Father for answering all these prayers and guiding our paths and our words, and helping us to make the time to help others. Help us to be more selfless instead of selfish. Thank You for all this in Jesus' Name. Amen.
ReplyDeleteProverbs 11:25

1 Corinthians 10:24
Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
In agreement with JJ & Jeanne in continuing to lift our sister Janet. Jeanne you & Rick are on my prayer list. God is attentive to all our cries. He neither sleeps nor slumbers. He hears your prayers. Have a fun Sunday with your little Evelyn. ๐ฅฐ๐๐
DeleteTo God be the glory! Praise the Lord and thank You Jesus! Thank you JJ and Jeanne for your encouraging words and prayers.
