Jesus Calling: May 11

Thank Me for your problems. As soon as your mind gets snagged on a difficulty, bring it to Me with thanksgiving. Then ask Me to show you My way to handle the situation. The very act of thinking Me releases your mind from its negative focus. As you turn your attention to Me, the problem fades in significance and loses its power to trip you up. Together we can deal with the situation, either facing it head-on or putting it aside for later consideration.
Most of the situations that entangle your mind are not today's concerns; you have borrowed them from tomorrow. In this case, I lift the problem out of today and deposit it in the future, where it is veiled from your eyes. In its place I give you My Peace, which flows freely from My Presence.

Philippians 4:6
English Standard Version

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

John 14:27
English Standard Version

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

My Prayer

(2016) Lord, wow, how I never seem to do that in my life.  Train me to do that daily, thanking you for the tough situation at work, the trial with my daughter and college and her health, my wife's difficulty at her job, my son's summer school and camp choices. Thank you for those problems.

Feeling thankful for today and for the previous three years even though God carried my husband into eternity through a cancer journey , our daughter endured thyroid cancer and our son will be moving across the country. 3. I am and have been going through various trials and situations that shown me the Lord's absolute love and protection against the world and the evil in it. Most of all I am blessed that through my battles many have witnessed and God has been upmost Glorified, impacting others life's and opening their eyes to him! I know God is in control of every aspect in my life but yet I still struggle daily to keep that held tightly. God I pray you continue to change people and bring people closer to you so you ready your children for your kingdom!

    10. Ain't nothing better than a great praise report! 30 days and counting, may not seem like a long time to someone that has never been addicted to something, but it is. I have been in the same shoes and it is not easy when you have satan whispering in your ear teasing us with temptation. I was addicted to pain pills due to an injury to my back. No one wakes up one morning and decides to become an addict, it isnt something we tell in school that we want to be when we grow up. It happens and when it does, that's when the battle begins. I am so happy for you Anonymous, keep on leaning on Jesus, before you know it you will be celebrating a year sober, God bless!

As a vet you will face many trials in your recovery, including mental health issues which may lead to relapse. Often vets are lucky to get treatment for dual diagnosis. Their meetings and programs are strong, but the real world can be difficult to navigate through. Build up your self-esteem and setting boundaries when the adversary arrives, which will now be easier to spot in any given situation. Make the right choices, when in doubt, hand it over to your higher power for consideration. Soberity is an honor, AA is worldwide so travel and meeting sober friends is easy. Blessings throughout your journey.

Oh Precious Lord, how I Praise You this early morning hour and THANK YOU for Your Faithfulness and the brand new mercy You have given me today. I am amongst the living today and I will rejoice and be glad in this day! Thank You! I give You Thanks for ALL things Father because You are deserving of it all.
In yesterday's devotion, You urged us not to run from our problems, but to embrace them as opportunity to rely more fully on You. Today, You said we should Thank You for those problems. Humanly, we will want to distance ourselves from You for allowing us to have them, but no, no, no, the Christ in us will NOT do so, for Greater is You that is in us than he that is in this world. You promised to always be with us and encourage us to come to You with anything, trusting that You will take care of us and that includes life'so ups and downs. So this morning, we Thank You for ALL that we are going through, the good and the bad, because it takes me back to Isaiah 43:2. THANK YOU LORD! Help us not to borrow problems of tomorrow, but to trust You to take care of our today's issues, trusting that You are in control of our tomorrow as well. Thank You Lord. May words of Thanksgiving to You and a Thankful heart, never depart from us,in Jesus name.

Thank You in advance for the WONDERFUL mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins, nieces and women believing for the fruit of the womb who are about to be celebrated tomorrow! Thank You Lord!
I Glorify You and THANK You for my dear mother oh Lord, I am still trusting and believing for her Salvation. Thank You Lord!

Thank You for my JC family. I pray Your sheild of protection over all today. May Your Peace and Joy chase us down this day. We surrender all to You and thank You for solutions and Peace to all our problems of this day, in Jesus name. AMEN!

Give all the weight of tomorrow & place them on my shoulder, I am strong, mighty & able to carry them for you. Your 2 sons & their addiction to tobacco is weighing heavy on you, you are already indebted to the future, leave them to me! They are mine. I know the plans I have for them. 10. Dear JC Family, What joy it is to read the encouraging words of Jesus Calling, Payton Family, and then the JC Family. It's like Christmas morning every day. We get to open special gifts just for us! Joy, joy, joy in my heart that money cannot buy.

I have a "problem" I need to thank Jesus for and I need prayer for. I reserved a VRBO for Memorial Day weekend to help my son who's launching a business. He is a vendor at the Mountain Archery Festival in Durango/Purgatory, CO. I planned on watching the grandkids while he and his wife man the booth. Well, due to the strangest spring in the Rockies, they are anticipating two feet of snow and more on Purgatory thru the end of May. My son called to tell me the festival dates have been changed (because if this)to July 12 - 14. Now I need to ask the owner of the rental property if they would he willing to move our dates. They are not obligated and I stand to lose $424. Our original booking would stand, but it does us no good as the point was to help during the event for the biz launch. Would you pray the owner will work with me and that I will trust the Lord with whatever the outcome? I feel foolish for not buying the booking ins. And I dont have the money to pay for two separate weekends. Was trying to help my son keep costs down as they dont have extra either. Thank you!

God bless you all on this Mother's Day weekend. I pray you have loving and fond memories of your mom's and/or you are cherished as a mom by the ones who love and appreciate you. For those who may struggle this time of year, even in the hardship, Jesus is near and He has a good plan for our lives. Let us trust in Him wholeheartedly with thanksgiving for His constant presence and sacrifice. Amen!

I am so thankful for the blessings and joy in my life. I pray today that my heart and eyes are open to the changes You have brought in my life thru these hardship journeys. Changes for your glory that would not have happened without the tribulations. In the last 2 years You Lord have brought in my life new and wonderful Christian friends , new grandchildren, new daughter n laws, I am truly blesses and thankful. Thankful for the reassurance that I will be joined someday with those I have lost tragically on this earth but died knowing Christ as their savior. May my heart be filled with the hope and joy of knowing we will share a heavenly home someday and not dwell on the sadness of my loved ones who have left this earth. Gods timing is beyond my understanding so I pray for strength to live everyday in a state of gratefulness and love for all.

  14. Thank you for all of your comments. The struggles are real and hurtful especially when it involves the pain in our children. Even grown children remain close to our hearts as they go through various trials. I must learn to thank you more for the trials we go through them as painful as it is because I know it brings us closer to You our loving savior. Pray for my husband to be saved and for family restoration. Due to many trials from my child and husband and their differences, our family is hurting. Parenting is difficult and my husband and I are so different. I always love and remain close to my children no matter what as he has chosen to separate and create more distance. This has been going on for a long time and it is painful. But there is still so much to be thankful for. I just quit drinking...only on day 2. But I thought I would try to focus on giving God all of my pain and stop burying it. Thank you for letting me vent. I really need counseling but haven’t yet. I have read Jesus Calling for years and I have a friend that sends me this blog every couple of days just when I need it so that is something to rejoice in. Friends are treasures that share God’s love when we need it most. Have a blessed day and let’s give thanks for ALL things today.

    1. Dear Unknown, as you are seeking to turn your life around toward the direction in which He desires for you to go, may you have patience in the process. As an ocean liner that has gotten off course will require time to turn and get back on course, so is life. Oh, that things would change immediately but as it has taken years for things to get where they are, so it will take time to get them back to where they should be. You have begun the turning process, be blessed in the small changes that occur each day. You will get turned in the right direction for it is His will for you and He will provide all that is necessary for your life to be righted. You have my prayers; may God be with you.

  15. Good advice and well said Bob! Unknown, you are seeking God's help and making good decisions to stop drinking to bury your pain and looking up from where your help cometh. God is faithful but in his own timing. You must wait on Him. Remember, as Bob said, it took years to pull you this far off your track so it may be a long journey back. But you are now going in the right direction. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit so lean on Him as you go forward towards your goal to bring your family back together in love, faith and peace. I will keep all of you in my prayers. May he also change the hearts of your children and husband and improve and renew their relationships and bring them to Jesus. I pray everyday that my husband and children and their families will seek Jesus and turn to Him in true faith. May He do the same for you and your family, and strengthen you to withstand any temptation to err. God is a buckler for those who trust in Him.
Psalm 18:2: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. He will fight your battles. I loved Bob's words so I join in his prayer that you will get turned in the right direction for it is His will for you and He will provide all that is necessary for your life to be righted. Stand strong Sister, God is on your side and we love you.

We must strive to stay in His presence every day and lean on Him through thick and thin. It is what He asks us to do. Trust that He will keep our foot from the snares and traps of the evil one. When you’re facing a hard time know that Jesus is at your side. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We shall overcome. Hopefully you have found support in your community. God provides us with all we need. Onward and upward one day at a time in His presence.

  16. MONDAY IN THE FIFTH WEEK OF EASTER

(John 14:21-26) (From John's perspective) As Jesus continued to provide His final words that we would need when we went forward to proclaim the good news, His words are filled with elements by which over time theologians would attempt to fashion an understanding of the Trinity. You must be careful here of spending too much time on putting all these pieces together in your head. Jesus wants everyone to know, it is in love that we enter into relationship with God and that element is of the utmost importance. Love of God is not an emotion nor does it rely on the senses as human love does. It is a virtue which dwells primarily in the will, inclining the will to cherish God above all things for His own sake and our fellow human beings for the sake of God. Jesus makes clear that keeping His commandments fosters this virtue and draws one into relationship with the Father as the Father wills to have a relationship with us. To help us all in the process, Jesus made reference to the coming of the Spirit of God which will guide us in the process of growing in love of God.

From Father William R Bonniwell in his book, 'From What Think You of Christ?: "Our supreme concern in life should be to obtain a constant and steady increase of this virtue. Prayer, the practice of self-denial, meditation on the goodness of God and on His love for us, the frequent reception of the sacraments, the performance of our every act out of love for God-all these will assist us to foster this virtue. God has loved each and every one of us from all eternity. He created us for no other purpose than to love Him in return. Loving God, therefore, is the very reason of our existence. This is the priceless secret which John apparently was the first of the Apostles to understand."

Have a blessed day, dear brothers and sisters in Christ! With love, Bob

  17. Dear Loving Father,
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not.
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
I Thank You for EVERY problems that You allow me to face and trust You to carry me through each. Great Indeed is Your Faithfulness!

    PSALM 46:
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
    2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”

Heavenly Father, may each person here be reminded that You are Our Way Maker, Problem Solver, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, and Light in the Darkness that leads us into Your Peaceful Presence. Thank You for the blessings of today. In Jesus name.

Blessings and Peace to all. Remain safe.

    1. Hey, twin bd sis, was richly blessed by your pairing of "Great is Thy Faithfulness" with Psalm 46. Way back when the psalmist was inspired to write what we know to be Psalm 46, it was a hymn and placed in the prayer/hymn section of the scriptures. When Thomas Chisholm wrote the poem, "Great is Thy Faithfulness" he was inspired by the same Spirit that inspired the psalm writer of Psalm 46. In my opinion, the great hymns that stand the test of time because they were inspired by God hold a place very near the psalms that have been preserved in the Bible. Add music to the words and now the heart is lifted up to the Lord. As another psalmist (96) was inspired to write, "O sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; tell of His salvation from day to day."

    2. Beautiful Bob! One more song came to mind:

      Sing a new song unto the Lord;
Let your song be sung from mountains high
Sing a new song unto the Lord
      Singing alleluia

      Yahweh's people dance for joy
      O come before the Lord
And play for him on glad tambourines
      And let your trumpet sound

      Sing a new song unto the Lord;
Let your song be sung from mountains high
Sing a new song unto the Lord
      Singing alleluia

      Rise, O children, from your sleep;
      Your Savior now has come
He has turned your sorrow to joy
And filled your soul with song

      Sing a new song unto the Lord;
Let your song be sung from mountains high
Sing a new song unto the Lord
      Singing alleluia

    1. Dear Tiffany, you have discovered a profound truth of being in relationship with God. A thankful heart offers prayers that cannot be produced by any other means. Stay in 'praise and thanksgiving' mode and "the Spirit will help you in your weakness; for you do not know how to pray as you ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints (which you are one) according to the will of God." (Romans 8:26-27). Wonderful post!

    2. Amen Bob! Beautifully said. Tiffany, God just wants to hear your voice. He already knows your heart and you've seen his faithfulness because you come to him, as his trusting child in thanksgiving and praise. So often I just raise my voice and say: God you know exactly what I need right now. Please take care of this problem. I'm giving it to you. And then I walk with a lighter load. He sure shares our burdens. Gratitude and humility are all we need. He loves a thankful and humble heart. Every new day is indeed a reason to thank Him especially in this situation we're in. Each new day is an affirmation of his great faithfulness.

  20. Maybe yesterday's reading is worth another look as it flows so well with today's.

The following thoughts I sent to a friend regarding May 10 and would like to share with you as well... If He is choosing to use me to paint so you can see clearer, these words I would paint; blessings, benefit, good, intimacy. Please read these Jesus Calling prayerfully as I feel it is (Fathers) hand picked for you. As you read, emphasize those 4 words as they bring life and hope to these words.

I recommend starting your day with it to. He has much more for you to discover here and now...

  21. Father, thank You for everything You do and are. You are so awesome. Thank You for being You. Remind me that I am important because You love me and not because of what I accomplish or do. Wonderful Lord, I don't need to hold on to worry. I can lay it all down at Your feet and You promise to help me. Even if my circumstances don't change, You will give me Your peace so I can endure. Fill me up with Your peace, love, joy, and strength. Replace my worry with the assurance of Your provision. May I become more aware of the reality of Your living presence. Give me fresh courage to face all that is before me. Thank You that You understand what I am going through. Help me remember that this difficulty will not last forever. Thank You for Your care, peace, and protection. I praise You Lord continually and always. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

Turn your worries over to the Lord. He will keep you going. He will never let godly people be shaken. (Psalm 55:22)

  24. Father, the feeling of nakedness and embarrassment I feel from sin isn’t delightful. I deliberately disobeyed you because I wanted to indulge in a selfish sin. Whenever I choose that I feel like I drive a wedge between us. God I depend endlessly on your incredible unconditional love. I ask to be back in on your will for me. I realize I’ve stepped away. Sin is no friend to me but you are. Thank you for your grace. I am your child and I’m proud of that. It is literally the best thing I’ve ever had going for me. Thank you for you grace and allowing your children to come back into your arms. Today I ask you show me through your word or however you please that everything is ok. I’m still trying to understand things of the Devine nature. Moment by moment. Faith & not by sight. You are omnipotent and your spirit lives within me. I intend to act like it. May you mercy be renewed as you promised. All praise the most high. And thank you for not condemning a wretch like me. New mind and new heart. Deliver me from my own devices. In Jesus’s name. AMEN

Remember He Who said, Neither do I condemn you. Go forth and do this no more? Well, He meant it. His forgiveness is real; accept it and move forward towards Him, like a child learning to walk.
May you feel the warm love, peace, direction and forgiveness of Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen

    2. Xavier Hill, Bless you, in the name of Jesus Christ. You ARE still trying to understand things, and that's OK.
      Romans 8
      King James Version
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Every day is a new day and as Brie said, "May you feel the warm love, peace, direction and forgiveness of Christ, in Jesus' Name." AMEN and AMEN!
Our adversary is a sore loser, a lazy loser and he will do everything in his power to keep us under his thumb. Rebuke him and be free! Bless your heart Xavier Hill - I will be praying for you and your tender, open heart to receive God's love.

    3. Thank the Lord for His unconditional forgiveness. There is no condemnation in Jesus Christ. We are not perfect. We make mistakes. We are not God. That's His job and He does it perfectly. Do not get down on yourself, but repent, ask for forgiveness, and turn away from your sin. He is there with open arms, ready to love you even more. He sees your heart. May you be reminded that Jesus died on the cross for all sins; past, present, and future. Peace be with you.

    4. God's promises are reliable, Xavier. We all sin. And when we are sorrowful because we love Him, we come back to Him in true repentance and He forgives us. We must just try not to continue doing that same sin over and over and over. God is merciful even until the end of time. Always think of the good thief who was hanging next to Jesus when He was being crucified. God's mercy can extend to our very last breath. Even if you fall far away from God, He will still take you back with loving arms if you come back to Him with sincere repentance like the Prodigal Son. But you must change and let your future actions reflect a new behavior that pleases Him. Our great God knows our hearts intimately. He doesn't just consider our outward appearances but knows our motives, words and inner thoughts. All our family's wonderful posts and prayers are comfort to your heart, food for your soul, and strength for your faith. You are now seeking Him with new eyes and a longing to follow after righteousness and the spirit. He will guide you but you must follow. You're always in my prayers. Much love my brother.
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalm 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

    5. Dear Xavier Hill,
When I think on our slip and falls, these lyrics come to mind. Hope they help you:

I've been hard on myself lately
Every morning I feel the weight,
When it's hard to just get out of bed
Tell my heart, 'cause sometimes I forget
That Your mercies are new today
Your mercies are new today, oh
I can rest on Your shoulders
There is grace to start over
Your mercies are new today, oh
      Your mercies are new today
Help me rise like the morning sun
Help me see that Your work's not done, oh-oh
When I'm less, than what I want to be
Lord, I need You, to keep reminding me
Your mercies are new today (Your mercies are new today)
Your mercies are new today, oh-oh (Your mercies are new)
I can rest on Your shoulders
There is grace to start over
Your mercies are new today, oh
I kept thinking You were angry
But You were fighting just to hold me
And picked me up every time I fell
If Your love is here to lift me
And Your blood says You forgive me
Show me how I can forgive myself
'Cause Your mercies are new today
Your mercies are new again and again
Your mercies are new today (Your mercies are new today)
Your mercies are new today, oh yeah (Your mercies are new today)
I can rest on Your shoulders (I can rest on Your shoulders)
There is grace to start over (there is grace to start over)
Your mercies are new, oh, new today
I can rest on Your shoulders
There is grace to start over
      Your mercies are new today
Your mercies are new today, oh

  25. Dear Lord, Thank You for Your free flowing Peace that comes from being in Your Presence. This morning we are reminded that sweet wine comes from crushed grapes and if we want Your anointing upon your lives, and if we want to be successful in life, we must expect to be crushed and run over. There is no difficulty that cannot be defeated. There is no victory that cannot be achieved, if we say we believe in Your power, strength and might, we will Not give up, but rather get up and fight all our battles on our knees!
Help us to stop sorrowing, stop crying and stop worrying! For a better and greater tomorrow lies ahead of us in Christ Jesus!
Teach us to remember that sweetness accompanies the bitter taste of bitter leaf, but the BEST sweetness will follow our bitter experiences in Jesus Mighty name!
Thank You for giving us Your Word! We are so grateful that we can rely on it whenever we need help or guidance. As we draw near to You through studying scripture and prayer, please revive our soul and fill us with Your joy. Make us wise, and help us to trust and keep our eyes on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Continuing in prayers for the sick and shut-in. Thanking the Lord for all the miracles, victories and for meeting all those needs that have been put before Him in Prayer and Thanksgiving.

  26. Blessings Dear JC Family. My days have been long and full of change, casework that is heart-breaking, in many ways and questions about my future. However, God has been with me every step of the way. One by one, I am getting my constituents answers. Some they are happy about; others confused; many still heart-broken and feeling we "owe" them. One of my cases (all of you prayed for her in 2019, returned today asking for help. I took her case, called her twice and she hasn't returned my calls yet. I know it's no coincidence that she has returned. The patterns seem to remain, but I am praying that I can help her break that mold this time.
I have chosen to be grateful every day that I'm still on this job to be able to help them and provide some comfort. I give them all to my loving, Heavenly Father - only He knows how to get the job done. I just try to listen, which, as has been pointed out - I'm not always real good at! LOL!! But every day dawns new and I recommit to LISTENING, TRUSTING, OBEYING and above all, LOVING as Christ, who died for me, loved the Church.
I'm praying for each of you and love each of you. Your words are balm to my soul. "Writing new chapters;" looking at the "Sonshine;" expecting the "sweetness that follows the bitter," I lay it all at His feet and will go to bed a peaceful, happy woman of God.

  27. I have a victory update. I found out today that I had gotten my back pay from March to last week from unemployment. Thank You Jesus. There have been many ups and downs with this issue since the start of this process. It's so confusing and can get very frustrating, but I trust in the Lord and He always provides for me. He also helped direct me last month to do something that I had been putting off for a couple of years. My taxes. I didn't get any of the stimulus payments because I needed to file my 2018 and 2019 taxes at the time. I didn't owe them money, but I still should have filed. It had been stressing me out and I would pray about it and He directed me to finally take care of what I needed to to last month and I actually still received both stimulus checks from last year and my refunds. Thank You Jesus. I wasn't expecting anything like that. God is so good always. I am currently waiting for the last stimulus payment, but I have faith in God that it will come when it is time. I want to thank you all for all your prayers, thoughts, and concerns for me. I know that becoming homeless for the first time in my life and living like this isn't easy, but I realized that the Lord is teaching me things that I need to learn and are for my good so I am so grateful because I know that He will be with me every step of the way and He won't let go of my hand and neither will I. Thank You Jesus. Praise the Lord continually and always. God bless.

  29. Our Dear Norah,
Since you asked: Norah May 7, 2022 at 4:13 PM
Prayers for all of you and Brie, I can't wait to hear how God resolved your car issue! Still praying for you...
THE TEST: My vehicle was towed from Keith's Apartment on a day when the Management Office was closed. It was pouring rain when I discovered it. After the much it took to locate it, I was able to get a ride to the towing services' lot. It was a muddy dirt filled lot far out in the middle of nowhere. The gate was locked, but the signage had a number to call for an "appointment" Things went from bad to worse as I stood in mud with rain pouring down on me praying and pleading to be let in. Finally, I was. Seated at the table of the man who was "helping" me, somewhere from deep down inside, an uncharacteristic cry burst out from me that I couldn't turn off. Jesus please Help me and Thank you for all the help you give I repeated over and over and over, especially while trudging back through the mud and the rain, umbrella-less, to get the registration paperwork out of my vehicle.
THE TEST-imony: When I went back inside and sat back of the table, someone came from behind me and put cash on the desk and said this goes toward her bill. All of a sudden, peace flowed. It was not the money, but the fact that Jesus showed up. I looked up to thank the gift bearer, and asked his name so I could pray for him. All he said was, don't worry about it, and reiterated, This goes toward her bill. Then he quickly left out a side door and was gone.
The Holy Spirit asked me to tell this wondrous deed, so others will hear about Jesus, believe and pass it on. Thank you for listening.

    1. The Holy Spirit asked me to tell THE TEST-imony of this wondrous deed, so others will HEAR about Jesus, believe and pass it on. I was directed to John 4, where Jesus performed His 2nd Miracle...While He was there , a man in the city of Capernaum, a government official, whose son was very sick, HEARD that Jesus had come from Judea and was traveling in Galilee. This man went over to Cana, FOUND JESUS, and begged Him to come to Capernaum with him and heal his son...Jesus told him to go back home because his son was healed. And the man BELIEVED JESUS...and the officer and HIS ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD BELIEVED THAT JESUS WAS THE MESSIAH.
It started with HEARING about Jesus, and culminated with An official and his entire household believing Jesus is The Messiah!
For the official to HEAR about Jesus, someone had to SPEAK GOOD of Jesus; therein lies my above TEST-imomy; which I have spoken to all who would listen. The man through whom the gift came, prepared the way. I pray my telling about the Beneficence of JESUS through others will save entire households. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

The smallest quiet prayer "Help me Jesus" is as powerful as the most eloquent oratory prayer and elicits a response greater than we can imagine or think.
Why? Because our smallest prayer flies straight to the heart of our ALMIGHTY God where you are lovingly held.
    NOTHING is impossible with Him!
    Ephesians 3 20:21 Amplified:
20 "Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever." They may shut a door, but God can take you right through it. He can make things happen that don’t make sense. He doesn’t have to open it. He may not do it a traditional way. God can take you around what’s blocking you. He can take you over someone who’s trying to stop you. He can move someone out of the way who’s holding you back. What God has destined for your life will override anyone or anything trying to stop you.

You just keep honoring God, being your best, and He will get you to where you need to be. Trust His timing. Don’t be impatient because a door hasn’t opened yet. God knows what He’s doing. He’s not going to let you miss out. Stay in peace; your time is coming. Closed doors can’t keep you from God's purpose for you.
    Dear Heavenly Father God,
Thank You that other people and circumstances cannot keep me from what You have purposed for me. Thank You that You are The Doorkeeper of my life. I believe that You will take me through or over or around or under, whatever stands in my way. In Jesus’ Name, THY WILL BE DONE. Amen.”

    2. Your friend is right and she spoke the truth and your open heart received. God opens the doors in many ways. He makes ways when we think something is impossible. He has the last word and He knows what's best for us. God will take you to where He wants you to be and we wants you to be blessed. Praying you will see His faithfulness and realize your dreams. His Plan for you may be different but His way is always the right way.

  37. Such beautiful and inspiring thoughts and prayers this morning. Thank you for helping me start my day with a smile and joy in my soul.
Thank you Heavenly Father for my sisters and brothers in Christ who gather here daily to praise and worship your Holy name, to join together in prayer and adoration, offering our intentions to you with faith and hope, knowing you hear each one and will answer with grace and mercy according to your will and for your purpose. May we have peace in that, knowing that in all things you work for the good for those who love you and who are called according to your purpose.

I wrote this yesterday on my hike and thought I would share my “Hiker’s prayer”. Blessings 🙏

Thank you God for this beauty that I see along my way,
Thank you God for leading me in the purpose of my day,
Remind me to be present and slow my pace,
As I dwell in the midst of your majesty and grace.

  38. Pray With Your Body
Read Proverbs 4:20-27. Note the “body” references, including the “whole body,” “heart,” “mouth,” “eyes” and “feet.”
    Now read Romans 12:1-2.
Stand, sit, or lie down and slowly pray through your body, dedicating it to God part by part. Start at your feet and work up, or start at the top of your head and work down. With each area of your body, pray about the issues that come up that may go beyond the physical. For example, when you pray for your head, you may pray about your thought life; when you pray about your heart, you may pray about the “loves” of your life, etc.

  39. Thank you for your comments, Sassy Mom. My wife and I are also seniors, past 80. The body parts tend to wear out and function needs to be relinquished to the care of our precious Lord. Care givers and receivers alike need His sustenance to carry on in the seemingly endless onus that daily life can become. Thank you dear Lord that you hear our prayers and give us Hope.

  40. As I prepare to see the Oncologist today, I'm resting in God's peace. I have seen His faithfulness in my life over and over. I believe it will continue because I trust in Him. Have a blessed day in His presence and peace. Don't look ahead or regret what is behind. He meets us right here in the present and leads us through our days. Be not afraid. We are well taken care of. 41. Thank you Lord for another day. In JC today you remind me to come to you for peace. This reminded me of an old devotional I read years back and a quote.

" I have lived a 1000 tragedies in my life....

...most of them in my head"

That devotional with Phil 4:6 verse, is always brought to mind by the Holy Spirit when I get anxious.

Today I have a court date with my son. It has been coming for months with a lot of anxious thoughts around it (tragedies lived out in my head). Yesterday we prayed for peace and God granted us that Peace by giving us some insight to what will happen through the lawyer. I thank God for his faithfulness. Please pray for continued peace through the court appointment today and merciful results.

Jeanne, I pray for your report, I pray for good results and I pray for peace for you as you go into this appointment. The Lord is in control.

    Amen

  43. So how is it I ever let the enemy to make me believe that I am to blame when trials come? Anxiety blooms and it doesn't bring the blossoms of faith and trust. I'm trying to trust, with thanksgiving, for the answers to the trials I face and to bring to the forefront the times He has brought me through in victory. Our business has begun a slow down in the season it should be really taking off. My ( step-daughter) lost her job and needs the income in order to make mortgage payments . Her mom, with early onset dementia, lives with her.I pray, with thanksgiving for the right job and for her mental and emotional stress that comes with caring for her mom. I'm thanking God for His provision in our lives and am giving Him the glory for everything He has and will do.
Praying for a friend in shoulder surgery today and for salvation of many loved ones. I'm trying to fully place this in His more than capable hands and get out of His way so He can work all things together for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Praying for good results for the May 11 report. Amen

  44. Dear Helen, God allows these trials but never leaves our sides while we are going through them. I’m praying for you and your business and that your step daughter receives strength and provisions to help her take care of her Mom, and that God guides her to the perfect job. Also, that your friend’s shoulder surgery goes well and God will bring him a smooth recovery, and that your unsaved dear ones are called to Him and their hearts are softened so they will seek Him for themselves.
We are all human, dear sister. The difficult times challenge us, but also bring us closer to the Lord. He has equipped us well for them. Staying close to Him and sharing our burdens bring peace during our valley times. Remember His faithfulness and trust in Him even when your loved ones and you are enduring hardships. He is so trustworthy and kind. Keeping you all in my prayers.

This family has become real to me, and though I may not post daily, I am praying. This venue takes each of us a bit further than just reading the book and I love hearing the different applications for each one. He does meet each of us just where we are and in our unique circumstances. He truly is the Way Maker ... light in the darkness 🙏💕 Amen

  45. My dear friend Rudy is getting more heart surgery tomorrow morning to remove the lines that were needed to hold his Sternum together after his major heart surgery. His body is rejecting them and making him sick. He has an infection in his incision. He needs our prayers. May God guide his doctor’s hands perfectly to make him better. Also, my best friend Loretta just told me she’s getting a colonoscopy next week because her last one said she was positive for colon cancer. Please pray that it is just a polyp that can be completely removed. God is mighty to save. Trusting in Him.
Thank You Father for guiding Rudy’s surgery and bringing him back to perfect health, and for healing Loretta and guiding the doctor to removing any bad cells and bringing her back to perfect health and comfort in Jesus’ Name we pray.
