It is impossible to praise or thank me too much. As it is written, I inhabit the praises of My people. Sometimes your adoration is a spontaneous overflow of Joy, in response to radiant beauty or rich blessings. At other times your praise is more disciplined and measured--an act of your will. I dwell equally in both types of praise. Thankfulness, also, is a royal road to draw near Me. A thankful heart has plenty of room for Me.Psalm 22:3
When you thank Me for the many pleasures I provide, you affirm that I am God, from whom all blessings flow. When adversity strikes and you thank Me anyway, your trust in My sovereignty is a showpiece in invisible realms. Fill up the spare moments of your life with praise and thanksgiving. This joyous discipline will help you live in the intimacy of My Presence.
King James Version
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Psalm 146:1-2
English Standard Version
Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD, O my soul!
I will praise the LORD as long as I live;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
I Thessalonians 5:18
English Standard Version
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
English Standard Version
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
My Prayer - 1/7/13
Lord, I do praise You. I do thank You for life, for blessing me with salvation. I don't deserve it and never will. I am a wicked man that is often so far from Your ways. There is sin which creeps up in me day by day. I am not gentle. The pastor spoke about this in church yesterday and it was really something that stood out to me as to how I'm not gentle. Lord, make me gentle with my family and with those that I care about the most. I want to learn Your holiness in my life. I do praise You. I thank You for the wonderful praise songs that you have given to us. Thank you for the new songs that have been written. The new ways of taking to music the same ideas that are so true about you. You are a love we don't deserve, we can't comprehend, and yet we have.
Lord, help me not to be a judge or jury of others. Lord, you know me and I tend to be critical of other people and how I think they are expressing or not expressing You. Lord, keep me focused on myself and not on others. If there are things I see in others, may this prompt me to pray for them and not to be critical of them.
You deserve praise at all times. Lord, it is a good thing we have church and scheduled time to praise You because sometimes I don't feel like it or rush to it. And yet other times it comes easy.
Note: The devotion and scriptures are from author Sarah Young. If you haven't already, please purchase the book and support the author.
Thank you for unconditional love, Lord. My prayer is to focus on you, Lord... more and more and more. This prayer allowed me to search myself. I pray to not be judgemental and unkind. Thank you for your Word. Thank you
ReplyDeleteLove it so much!!!i am soo happy now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLord, in this time of adversity, it is difficult to thank you for these challenges. Yet as the years pass and by experience we see Your consistent love and unending patience, it does become easier to indeed thank you.
ReplyDeleteMay we understand more fully that thanking You for all things great and small, opens up our heart to loving others and acting more like your Son with all of Your children. Thank you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
A profound truth you have hit upon in the second paragraph, MadFox, a thankful heart will be a more loving heart. Since God has sent His Son to repair our heart, developing a spirit of thanksgiving enables His healing power to take effect. That is why being thankful is so desirable. As we continually make effort to practice it, over time, it will become second nature, much like breathing which you don’t think about but you do by nature to have life.
DeleteIndeed learning to be thankful in all circumstances activates love towards others.
DeleteAmen Amen Amen
DeleteDear MadFox, or should I say Robertπ, I loved your post, especially the second paragraph! I tend to thank Him in the big things but I should remember to thank Him and praise Him throughout the day for every little thing so I can truly open my heart to His love and share it more fully!
DeleteAmen Bob! A thankful heart is a loving heart.
It is 2021 and those words still speak Brother... 2019 was eye opening, 2020 was a sifting, 2021 is the year of growth, To God Be all the glory!
DeleteThinking of you Madfox and sending you prayers for you and your family.
DeleteYes, a thankful heart is a loving heart.
I’m thankful for Chris taking the time to look up each Bible verse and for putting together this beautiful book by Sarah Young into a blog of believers, prayer warriors and a JC family.
I am thankful for each of you
God bless you and yours

Help me be thankful it's so hard to be thankful for problems though please help mr trust in you godππππππ
ReplyDeleteunknown unknown, you repeatable express dismay over all your problems. You do not say what your problems are but a blog is not the space to provide great details thus all we can do is offer you encouragement and prayer (which is a lot). From a personal standpoint, I compare problems to nerve endings in my body, they are there to alert me with a degree of pain to let me know something is wrong and needs to be addressed. Now I can mask the pain with painkillers or even worse, drugs or alcohol but none of these choices solve the problem. I need to get help from someone who has the expertise to help me address the issue causing the pain. You say you attend church, well maybe you should talk to your pastor or some other trustworthy individual in the church that can help you address your issues. Sometimes people’s problems are of such serious nature, they need to see a “specialist” with more training in the area where the pain is coming from. The value in talking face to face with someone (this is something a blog cannot provide) is that you take ownership of your problems and thus your listener can help you find necessary changes to begin to heal whatever is causing the problem/pain. We are all praying for you and God is seeking to bring healing to your life but you need to take some action beyond the expressing of your miseries. You need to talk with a “doctor” who can help you find the solutions for the pain. I now go to prayer for you, again. God be with you.
Deletethank you but I physically am not in pain its BAD problems with my kids that I can't control its money its lack of work its alot of things I rather not go into detail I just need prayers so I just pray and hope one day god will hear me or show me a way to make things better.
DeleteI'm emotionally tired so I come on hear for prayers as I do at church and bible study I just want alittle hope and encouragement that God is always listening and things will be ok.
DeleteAll of us can do hope and encouragement. There have been many positive replies to you. By all means keep coming to this blog and we will keep praying for you. The problems you briefly mentioned most of us have or have had. It would be great to share how the love of God was there for us even when we weren’t sure about it much as you feel. Unfortunately, that is where a blog limits us. A face to face conversation with a sympathetic individual can be much more productive. God be with you. πππ
DeleteI pray for you daily. I also believe the way to peace for you is to serve others as you are able. God be with you.
DeleteUnknown is it possible you are suffering from a chemical imbalance and need to be treated for depression? This looks like it’s from 3 years ago hopefully you have found light at the end of your tunnel. Sometimes it’s hard for people to get us because they haven’t walked our journey or had our struggles. They don’t know the pits. I have been there before where I felt like I was spiraling and some of it was not really grasping the unchanging and unconditional love of God. Just remember He is a compassionate loving God who never changes. He is Constant in our lives. People change from day to day sometimes based on their fickle feelings, but God is always there. He is like an anchor to a ship. Though the winds and waves crash upon it the boat stays in place. He loves You and if You will really grasp how deep and wide His Love truly is for You then You will realize all of Your trials have purpose. Prayers for God to make known His true Peace for You in Jesus Name ❤️π
DeleteLord, please help me to not be judgemental of others. I am so very thankful of all the many blessings You have provided to me. Lord, please continue to look over me and my family. Keep them safe, Lord. Guide them to You, Lord. Praise be to You, Lord, this and every day.
ReplyDeleteI also need your help to get out of the Judges Chambers, Lord. Not sure how nor why I got in there, nor why I linger there, but what I do know is that is the last place I belong, I want out and I need your help.. JESUS I TRUST YOU! JESUS PLEASE HELP ME!
DeleteBrie, I come here and have nearly daily, for a few years or so. I do not write often but I want to write that I am thankful for you sweet sister. You shine Gods light and love.
DeleteI’m praying for you now, for God to lift you up and out of the Judges Chambers. It’s a yuck place to be and you are too bright of a light that God shines on and through to stay in the dark of judging. I know I hate when I somehow get in the Judges Chamber's. God has You, You are loved and I’m thanking our Loving Lord for lifting you up and out of the yuck.
I am asking for and in need of prayer for help with healing in our family. There are many deep wounds that only God can heal.
I love family and am so thankful to have a family to love and support. It is very hard sometimes and I find myself judging because I do not understand why or how some family members are so extremely negative, critical or mean about others. It is very disruptive, hurtful and feels intentionally mean and hateful. I pray for God to remove anything that is not of him from me and from our family and to fill us with His love, guidance, protection, peace and joy.
I am very thankful for my husband. We got married Dec 4th 2021. God blessed us in His perfect timing. We dated on and off for 10 years and have been through so many very hard losses that almost broke us but Our God never left us. He has grown and molded us more and more! We are still His work in progress and I am so incredibly thankful that He never gives up on us! Seek and we will find, knock and the door will open.
God is faithful and good, always.
We can do All things through Christ that strengthens us

I am just seeing your post this year, sweet sister in Christ, Brandi. Thank You God for Brandi and our entire JC family. Whether or not my human eyes see their posts, my prayers are always with, and for them.
DeleteOnly with Your Help Lord can we be a bright flashlight that God uses to shine on and through us and others.
Dear Heavenly Father God,
Would You please keep our batteries charged?

DeleteOh man you nailed it Payton! My teenager has been trying to get through to me that I am critical of her for a couple years now, and I am. Lord God PLEASE help me with this...I love Hannah so much and yet I am constantly looking for inroads to tear down what is important to her because I dont approve. I dont approve of her boyfriend and what they are doing and I wish she had better influencing friends...BUT God show me how to love her right in the midst of her journey. Show me how to encourage instead of discourage because I sure as heck dont know how myself. Thank you Jesus!!!
ReplyDeleteRiseup, I have 3 daughters and one son that were all born within a 5 year span. (1980, 81,83,85) It is never easy when you want them to grow into young adults that we can be proud of. Sometimes we forget that they oftentimes become echo's of what we modeled as they grew up before our eyes. Our critical behavior towards them will make them always feel they can never please us, as parents. Sometimes it is our very behavior that is causing the problem. As difficult as it seems, our job as parents is to love them and help them to feel your love above all else. It isn't our job to fix them. If unconditional love is the centerpiece in your home, the rest will naturally fall in place. A critical nature is a breeding ground for negativity. Above all else we must pray about everything and thank God even for our troubles because Jesus said that there would be tribulation but to be of good cheer for He has conquered the world!!! Yes, thank God even for the difficulties in our life. He is the great "I Am"! All of us must learn to release our cares, frustrations and critical thinking up to God. He asks us to rest in Him. Not all the battles are your to fight, let go and let God take over in your life. Love begins inside each one of us. We must love ourselves before we can truly love another. God Bless you and all of your family.
ReplyDeleteCecelia
Thanks Cecelia. I needed that.
DeleteYour words are so true, they stand through time.
Thank you for sharing this devotional. I am convicted of the way I handled a matter in church. The observations shared will assist me when confronted with similar matters in the future. Prayer and trust in God instead of self sufficiency is the Way. Blessings
ReplyDeleteMuch of what we wish to change in our children is resultant from what they have seen from us in the past. I now watch my adult children with their families and they seem to repeat and emulate a lot of what they disliked about some of their upbringing. We can't do anything about "water under the bridge". All we can do is trust God and try to influence by positive input. Negative criticism usually produces negative results. It is sometimes necessary to point out bad behavior and warn of it's consequences, but it takes God's love and guidance to do it constructively. Step back from the "heat of the moment" and try to see things from a Godly perspective before trying to force immediate changes. I've been in deteriorating situations where, looking back, I can see that I was much of the cause by trying to force change in an angry child. God bless you all as you go forward in His will.
ReplyDeleteThank you Father for providing a forum to exchange prayers and insights in our daily journey. It is amazing to read posts from a year or two ago, and find that one still needs the reminders of how to mature in Christ. Thankfulness is still a significant challenge, and with the blog rolling through the year, this topic, is once again providing messages I need to hear (read).
ReplyDeleteDeveloping a contrite heart of thanks is a life long endeavor and an area that is still in need of improvement. Thankful for all of the JC family here and the gentle reminders to stay focused on You Lord. While our journey towards heaven is assured, it is still necessary to remember every moment that you are guiding us by holding our hand in love, just as a parent does their toddler. Help us to trust this truth.
Praying for growth and further insight to decisions about the path ahead. Abba, Father, Comforter, God... Holy is Your name and Your love endures forever. Be with all those here, their families, and friends and increase our faith, our appreciation of your love, and thankfulness that You sent the Son in perfect love for us. Amen.
Thank you Mad Fox; your input is filled with the holy spirit and brings much comfort to me, to all.
DeleteAmen MadFox! I am thankful you’re my dear brother and you always feed me wonderful spiritual food for my soul. I too am in need of reminders to be more thankful and to never forget to praise His Holy Name. Every good thing is from above. Hope and pray you are doing well. Much love.
DeleteThank YOU Jesus, I trust YOU! However big or small, "in all things" - victories and challenges, I'm giving thanks, I know you are right there with me, loving, blessing, guiding and holding my hand. I trust YOU JESUS.

DeleteAuntie Jeanne you are a blessing to your friend. Peace be with you and your friend during this difficult time.
DeleteFor the gift of life and the ultimate price paid on Calvary cross to set me free, yes Lord, I can NEVER Thank You enough! As long as I have breath, I desire to thank You every single day. In my strength, in my weaknesses, in my joy, in my short comings and even in sorrow. Holy Spirit, hear me and help me to never waiver in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord of lords and King of kings!
ReplyDeleteWho am I that You are mindful of me, that You call me Your friend, Your child, You hear me when I call, You think of me?
What kind of child or friend will I be to You when I wake up, go through my day and get home safely, without Thanking You, The ONE who made it all possible? Yet, You call me Your friend. Oh dear Lord, help me to live my life for JESUS, glorifying, thanking and praising Your Holy name in all circumstances.
Thank You that no matter how much I fail, slip and fall, You Father, remains the same!! Thank You that You are not man, Thank You that Your love for me is not based on conditions, because I would have sunked a long time ago

DeleteThanking Him and praising Him for everything He is to me!
My unchanging firm foundation, the Lover of my soul and the Keeper of my heart.
In my years of practicing meditation on the words of scripture, all things continually come back to the thoughts of today's reading, responding to God's love for me with praise and thanksgiving. There is nothing else I can do. It is the essence of my relationship with God. His love for me is experienced in innumerable ways and through praise and thanksgiving, I recognize His love which leads to greater love for Him within my soul. A healthy dose of praise and thanksgiving at the beginning of the day will enable me to go forth into the day in trust and obedience. Epilogue to this thought, what makes for a healthy relationship with God, praise and thanksgiving, is also what makes for healthy relationships with spouse, children, relatives, friends, and one another. When I see the good in each person rather than their shortcomings and am grateful for each person, it totally changes how I respond to them. I praise God for who you are and am thankful to God for the gift of your friendship. God be with you!
ReplyDeleteBob, well said, and wisdom in the words: "there is nothing else I can do" but praise and thanksgiving. Just as Job was challenged, we are wise to have a thankful heart in all circumstances. Praise grows and thus faith strengthens.
DeleteAs always, great insight, Bob. I like how you transitioned praise and a healthy relationship with God as well as our spouse, children, friends, etc... I hadn't thought of it quite like this. Thank you for your wisdom and contributions.
DeleteThank you, Bob, look for the good in all especially my grandchildren. I love them so much but do they feel my love when I am critical of their ways. I think not; change my heart Lord; help me to show love as you show it towards me even though I don't deserve it. Lord gave mercy on us.
DeleteAn epilogue to the epilogue, as it is good to speak our praises to God for everything in God that is good (this list is eternally long) and to say what we are thankful for, so, too, to verbalize praise and thanks to others can do wonders in the relationship.
DeleteAmen. Praise and Thanks are miracle workers. My alarm still goes off every hour I am awake to remind me to do so.
Delete...what makes for a healthy relationship with God, praise and thanksgiving, is also what makes for healthy relationships with spouse, children, relatives, friends, and one another...
When we drill down our thanks and praise to this level, it does seems to be a higher form of praise and thanks to the Giver for His gifts to us through them? Lord I need your help to be more appreciative and focused on others' gifts to me. JC Family, would you Pray for me to the Lord our God? Thanks in advance.
Love, Love and God's grace that pardons and cleanse within, should be the wisdom we wear on our necks. Love for ALL, always wins!
DeleteGreat insights bday twin, God bless you!

AAHHAA moment. When my alarm goes off each hour, in addition to thanking God, I now plan to focus on and then let another person know something about them for which I thank God. Pray for me to The Lord Our God.
DeleteOn her 97th birthdqy, my GodMother told me the four things she discerned when she reflected back over her life that helped her so much she was passing them on to me. She told me:
1. Read scriptures and say prayers everyday. Everyday.
2. Be a Decent Human Being according to God's standards.
3. Keep all the faults of others to yourself. When you say something, make it praiseworthy or shut up about it.
4. Always Be kind. Say kind. Do kind. Everyday.
I love you Nannie. Pray for me to get past step 1. Amen.
Brie - such wisdom and beauty from your Godmother! Thanks for sharing her words. KS
DeleteBob! You gave me so much truth and encouragement today. Thank you!
DeleteI always start my day in gratitude and praise to my God, and I should also extend it to my loved ones, especially my husband. It opens my heart to loving them more fervently and they will feel my love for them.
Wonderful advice from your Godmother, Brie! Thanks for sharing it.
DeleteI'm adopting your godmother, and get steps to live by, Brie as i struggle to remember who mine was... As their role is to guide is in our relationship to God, yours done good π
DeletePardon the typos which are obvious...
DeleteLord, thank you for all that You are, all You have given me, and all You have kept away from me. I want to become more mindful of You and practice Your presence in my life daily. You have brought me through many trials Lord and still I struggle to trust in Your timing. I say I live in faith and trust yet I lack confidence or worry about things. Please teach me patience to know Your plan and timing are perfect and that You have plans to prosper me. Thank you for being Lord ovet my life... for everything I see and acknowledge but also for that I do not see. Amen
ReplyDeleteAmen Mark π.
DeleteThank you Bob. You summarize a great point see the good in others and never stop Thanking God. Amen
ReplyDeleteSo enjoying reading all of your insights! I was up early and read, but didn't comment or I would have been late to work!
ReplyDeletePraying for your 'life long friend,' Aunt Jeanne, for you, dear CO, and all of my JC Family.
"Gratitude," giving thanks, praise - is my 2020 commitment. Bob and MadFox, you gave me much encouragement for that topic. I listened to a wonderful teaching on Gratitude (main emphasis being Luke 15; the Prodigal Son &/or the Forgiving Father) and as a follow up I was sent a list of characteristics (from John Maxwell) re: gratitude.
* Grateful people linger over life's blessings
* Grateful people live in the moment
* Grateful people leave fear behind
* Grateful people live on purpose
* Grateful people love those beside them
It went on to say that we can keep a daily or weekly list of blessings. We can purposefully write thank you notes, texts, or (I added) share with our JC Family. We can be thankful for 'the everyday stuff we too often take for granted,' like running water, washing machines, etc.'
I thought of you, Sassy Mom, thanking God for your warm home. That simple statement of yours caused me to stop and look around and thank God for my many blessings.
Two days in a row, I received a hug from a man who, I'm sure caused some of those witnessing it to cringe. He's scruffy, wears Carhartt coveralls that have seen better days. But, he was so thankful that I CARED that his food assistance had dropped over $100/mo b/c his landlord hadn't confirmed his rent. My part in proving his honesty was so simple and I continue to plug through the paperwork to get his landlord to respond. But, his simplistic, spontaneous response blessed me. The bailiff in our bldg popped his head in to make sure I was OK and I assured him I was. When the man left, all I could think was 'angels among us,' because his heart was so pure and his thankfulness to God for meeting his needs on $48/mo for food, so honest and genuine, I felt that I was the one who had received the blessing. Another reminder: I come home to a warm house, with a loving husband present and a fridge full of food. The fact that we have to stand there and ponder, "What do we want to eat tonight," is proof in and of itself that we have SO MUCH for which to be thankful.
At one time we were on Food Stamps too, and I remember. At one time we lived in subsidized housing. I remember. At one time we looked for that gov't check. I remember. That was 25 years ago and I don't think I'll ever forget, no will our children. I have love for the people who are in that boat now. I pray for them. I help them. And, yes, I give them hugs to remind them that God will show them better days as they heed His principles and do His Word.
How can I not be grateful and praise our Lord for His many blessings? That is why I chose this job. I was there and now I'm not. I can help them, encourage them and go to bat for them.
Humbled and Grateful,
Norah
One word for the honest feedback and your attitude of seeing the difficulty of others... God indeed used your challenges to then prepare your heart to serve for Him to those who need it. Norah is in one word... AWESOME! ❤️π
DeleteWonderful post that amplified today’s reading. Thanks, Norah.

DeleteOh - my JC Family...I just simply LOVE YOU!! Heading to bed, one blessed lady! <3 And, to RTJ - who probably won't see this...YOU are going to be just fine!
ReplyDeleteThank you Norah for that reminder to us. We are the hands and feet of Christ and the arms He hugs with to! And yes as we travel on our life journey, most of us find ourselves on both sides; in need and with plenty. May we by Grace be thankful in both circumstances.

Love, Blessings and prayers have covered you throughout the night. Mindy
WOW Mindy, how thankful I am, for you, our JC family, music, love and the Comforter you are wrapping us in tonight. After a long day spent in Drs offices and labs, it feels good to snuggle up. Didn't have the time nor opportunity to watch tv today. When my friend called me to check on my husband, she tried to tell me something but my brain and body was too tired to understand it. It sounded as though satan was having a field trip with our beloved America, my Country, prayers for thee, sweet land of liberty was all I could sing. Guess I'll find out details tomorrow. But for now, I'm praying . Love you Mindy.
DeleteThank you Mindy! Praying for peace and calm in Washington and all nations and covering you all in prayers.
DeleteBlessings from France
Dear Mindy! That was really awesome! Especially the harmony. Thank you so much sweet Sister!
DeleteBrie, Praying for your husband and hoping you get a chance to rest up after your doctor's appointments and tests.
DeletePraying with all for our Country and for peace to reign. God is still in charge. The ungodly will be judged and punished.
Starting your day(Thursday the 7th).
ReplyDeleteYou really don't know how glad I am for this early morning singing song. Thanks again.
DeleteThis JC snippet today is appropriate to the situation I asked the team to pray about last week. "When adversity strikes and you thank Me anyway, your trust in My sovereignty is a showpiece in invisible realms." Add your prayers, warriors, and it led to an amazing change from those same realms.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, the Nurse Mgr. walked up with the chemo and saline IV bags to get me started. I cringed of course. As she walked up she smiled and asked some questions and then said, "I have to apologize and want you to know that I'm sorry about our conflict last week." Without all the details and in summary, it was sincere. It also afforded me the opportunity to add an apology to her as I told her my goal is to be 100% positive and the best, easiest patient there, and obviously I am not as easy as I think! She admitted to high stress due to the covid risk, the challenge of an oncology practice, and some personal stress (alluded to but not specifics) at home.
I took the opportunity to say she had been great after hours with me on an issue, and then added, "it took a lot of courage to walk up here 1st thing and apologize. it is appreciated and absolutely accepted, plus it shows professionalism and class..." at which point she burst into tears. We then talked about challenges that two type A personalities can have at times. I said the past from this point forward was a non-issue, she wept for several minutes so definitely think we should keep her on the prayer list. I think she is seeking but not found peace yet in Christ. And God did provide an outcome I wouldn't have thought possible. Oh, and my labwork is still keeping my GPA at the top of the class!! Ha ha. Virtual hug for the prayers. Truly AWESOME outcome.. AMEN.
Great Victories for both you and your Nurse Manager, Madfox! Thank you God! I will call my friend, Joni and let her know. Joni prayed me through a similar circumstance and was in prayer for you. (See my response to your original post) She said to be sure to let her know when the Madfox Nurse was changed or changed out for a better one.
DeleteI will call her in the morning so we can both dance :)
What I noticed moreso today, was The medical profession is beyond stressed and stretched, most have had covid, and/or transmitted to their households with little time to recover, yet they punch in every day to take care of us for long extended hours and days. As we do so well in this Prayer Warriors Room, we have to continue keeping them in our prayers, along with first line responders, etc. I doubt that they have time to read their prayers, nor come into our prayer room, so for now, we may have to pray, praise and thank in the breach on their behalf. I am so fortunate the Holy Spirit put me in this JC family and gave me extended prayer time. Praise, thanks, song and dance for God's Victory Report on your behalf Madfox. Love, Brie
To God be ALL the Glory and honor for being with you on this journey Madfox! His faithfulness is from everlasting to everlasting!!! His Best is yet to come! I say, THANK YOU JESUS!!

Wow! Looks like we got His 2 for 1 special. I sang for Him to change 1 heart and He changed 2.
DeletePraise and Thank You God for the Daily Double Deal! Amen.
πΆ Change Madfox Nurse's heart, O God, make it ever new. Change Madfox Nurse's heart, O God, make it just like You. God, You are the Potter, Madfox Nurse is Your Clay. Melt, mold and use Madfox Nurse, this is what I pray. Change Madfox Nurse's heart, O God, make it ever new. Change Madfox Nurse O God, until s/he's just like You. Amen.
What healing peace and awesomeness taking place with your nurse manager, MadFox, and you. I am always in awe of these kind of healings of feelings. So glad, too, your GPA numbers on your labs are, as you put it, "at the top of your class"! Thanks for sharing about God healing you and healing feelings between you and the nurse manager! You remain in my daily prayers to Jehovah Rapha.
DeleteMadFox - Love hearing your good healing moments! Also, so happy for the wonderful heartfelt words from your nurse. God's ways are amazing and loving. KS
DeleteMadFox! You opened up another heart and dropped the seed of Jesus. You brought MadFox to tears because she had to share her pain with you because you, in Christ, understand, love and care. Thank God your bloodwork is showing God's faithfulness. Our prayers are being answered. And I just knew MadFox nurse was gonna come around because of your great faith and light.
DeleteBrie. I am also praising, thanking, singing and dancing with you for God's Victory Report on for Madfox. By the way, loved your awesome song: Change MadFox Nurse's heart.
Wonderful to hear that Madfox. The Lord is working in you, on you, and through you. What a beautiful blessed journey He has given to you. Enjoy. Thank You Jesus.
DeleteThank you for sharing, Maddox. I have to say, I think you also handled this interaction with professionalism and class letting the words of the Lord slip right off your tongue and onto His child who needed to hear them.
DeleteMay God continue to bless you as we continue to pray for you and your nurse manager. Y”who knows... you two might end up being friends when this is all over! Peace.
Oh, MadFox - I am not surprised in the least!! Over your GPA, your Nurse's changed heart OR your involvement in showing her The Way. I just read a verse with a friend, I Peter 4:8, "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." Your humble, loving heart opened the door for her to let down her defenses and LET GOD melt her heart! That is no coincidence, my friend - as you surely know. I am so thankful. My hub and I continue to pray for you daily, if not more. You are teaching us even greater ways to celebrate. God love you and your whole family as you persevere.
DeleteAll. Of. This. Has me praising and thanking God with all of you on my mind and heart.
DeleteHumbling comments. Truly appreciate the prayers. God is amongst us here. Hallelujah. AMEN.

Larry is still fatigued, with little appetite, and has chills. An infection is suspect but we won't know for 2 or 3 days. Prayers and love to you Family. Forgive typos. I am too tired to preview. Love Brie.

Forget the proof-reading! :) We can read between those because you have been diligent to honestly share your sweet heart with us. Sleep sweet - both of you. Let us carry the Night Watch and know that you are both SO LOVED.
DeleteOh Lord God, We have seen and have been reminded of the reign of King Rehoboam (1 Kings 12), as well as seen the most darkest, disgraceful day in the history of the United States of America on Jan. 6, 2021. A nation that You have blessed and highly favored. Your Spirit is grieved. This morning Lord, I ask for Mercy, Lord have Mercy, Lord have Mercy. Judgement and punishment are Yours, but mercy and compassion are also Your character. Thank You for the lives of the few faithful law enforcement agencies and personnel, who fear You and put their lives on the line to protect others. Lord have Mercy, for Jesus’ sake.
ReplyDelete“In the New Testament the term "lawless" is used to describe those who knowingly, deliberately and willfully rebel against the laws of God and man. These are people who despise and defy the law. They refuse to be under God’s rule and God’s government. They refuse to surrender to God’s Word and God’s will. They want to make their own laws and be their own king and follow their own way. The lawless person cries out in his heart, "not God’s will, but my will be done!" Lucifer wanted his own will rather than God's will (see the five "I WILLS" of Isaiah 14:12-14).”
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 2 Thessalonians 2:7
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. Matthew 23:27-28
For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. Titus 3:3
The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness. Matthew 13:41
Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14
Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. Matthew 24:12
Realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers.” 1 Timothy 1:9
Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Psalm 2:11
Hate and self-righteousness will take you to a path of destruction, but the Love and fear of God prevails and leads to a path of holiness! It’s a choice, pick wisely!
Blessings and Peace.

Psalm 58 was one of the Psalms I prayed on early yesterday morning. I surmise it was God's Holy Spirit preparing me, as He so often does:
DeletePsalm 58 Living Bible
58 1-2 Justice? You high and mighty politicians don’t even know the meaning of the word! Fairness? Which of you has any left? Not one! All your dealings are crooked: you give “justice” in exchange for bribes.[a] 3 These men are born sinners, lying from their earliest words! 4-5 They are poisonous as deadly snakes, cobras that close their ears to the most expert of charmers.
6 O God, break off their fangs. Tear out the teeth of these young lions, Lord. 7 Let them disappear like water into thirsty ground. Make their weapons useless in their hands.[b] 8 Let them be as snails that dissolve into slime and as those who die at birth, who never see the sun. 9 God will sweep away both old and young. He will destroy them more quickly than a cooking pot can feel the blazing fire of thorns beneath it.
But, 10 The godly shall rejoice in the triumph of right;[c] they shall walk the bloodstained fields of slaughtered, wicked men. 11 Then at last everyone will know that good is rewarded, and that there is a God who judges justly here on earth.
Thanks and praise to God!
We pray together: Father, Change the hearts of the ungodly to do Your perfect will. No more violence and lawlessness and sin among those who lead us. What kind of lesson are they teaching our young ones? Righteousness will always win. Thank you dear Father for removing the sinners, changing the situation in our Capital and bring a blanket of peace to cover everything and make it right again. We pray in the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

And let it begin with me
Let There Be Peace on Earth
The peace that was meant to be
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony.
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With ev'ry step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment and live
Each moment in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me!
Thank you Brie. I hadn't sung that song in a long time, but I did just now and will throughout this day. God bless.
DeleteI agree with you John and it is a frightening situation with many more uncertain days ahead. Praying with you. We need God's guidance and power and peace right now more than ever. He must heal our Nation.
DeleteBrie, We always sang that song in Choir. Each of us are on a peace mission now. Praying for answered prayers.

DeleteOne of my favorite songs, Brie. I love it when it gets 'stuck' in my head! This morning, I woke up at 4:00 from a bad dream. I snuggled back up in bed and prayed to my Father to make the 'bumps in the night' go away. He did. I woke up 4 hours later and while not quite totally at peace, after reading on here, praying with my dear hub and various others on this site, in my family - honestly, continuous, fervent prayer, I can say that tonight, my heart is light.

Oh, Bob - love you so! Not a day goes by that I listen to beautiful piano music or read the scriptures that I don't think of you and thank God that you are in my life. How good and pleasant it is that brothers can dwell together. (or something like that). :)
DeleteI was having trouble posting things today too, TJ. Praying with you for our family, and also for you.
ReplyDeleteNow I must ask for prayers for my dear twin sister, Janet. She was at a gathering 2 weeks ago, a Visitation for a deceased friend. She and her husband wore masks but almost all those attending were without masks. She has been experiencing an upper respiratory infection and for the last 4 days, her blood pressure has been spiking to numbers she never saw before. She doubled her high blood pressure medicine and it is still spiking. She just called the doctor and is hoping to get an appointment today and a Covid test. Thank you for your sincere and powerful prayers for my sweet Janet.
Father, please hold Janet in Your loving, healing arms and comfort, love, and protect her. Let Your healing peace move through her and remove any and all afflictions. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen π. Thank You Jesus. Praise the Lord continually and always.
DeleteDear Heavenly Father God,
DeleteWould You please heal our Janet and restore her to great health? Would Tou wrap your loving protective arms all around her and give her your peace? Along with all covid victims wverywhere? Thank You In Jesus' Name. Amen
Thank you so much for your prayers! Love and appreciate you all. Praying with you for all with Covid.

Praying for your dear twin, Jeanne. OMG! TWO of you??? That is so awesome. No doubt, they will find the cause and make quick her recovery. Our prayers are with her and I claim it, in the name of Jesus Christ. Love you, dear sister.
DeleteI had been thinking about getting baptized for awhile now and I am scheduled for it this Sunday at church. I had been baptized when I was a baby, but I am feeling compelled to do it again; now. It's very important to me and I think it's a big deal. I'm excited and a little nervous, but I know it's the right decision for me. I would appreciate any and all prayers to see me through. Thank you all. Thank You Jesus. Praise the Lord continually and always.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gesture of renewing your faith, Janet. Prayers of comfort going out for you today and especially on Sunday. We will be with you in spirit.
DeleteHow wonderful Janet! I would love to be baptized.
DeletePraying blessings for you and all JC members.

Oh Glory! That is wonderful, Janet! You will definitely be in my prayers. The 'nervous' feelings are just - well, normal, when living in this world. God will hold you, comfort you and you will rise up, renewed, refreshed and even more confident of His Love! God Bless you, Sister!
DeleteMy prayers are with you Janet. Would you let us know the date and time so prayers can be offered up on your behalf? Our Father will be elated and welcome you with wide open Arms because He will be so happy that youhad a lot of choices, but you chose Him.
DeleteYay Janet, sister in Christ!!!
DeleteThank You Father for leading Janet to follow You and her beautiful heart.
ReplyDeleteFather, please hear our prayers. Our nation You blessed and kept us close to You, but we have been straying away from You for a great many years. You have been so patient with us, waiting and hoping that we would see our sins and transgressions against You and Your word, but we continue in our selfish, greedy, vain, and corrupt ways. Please forgive us and do not turn Your back on us like we have done to You. Open up the eyes of those who don't see and remove the plugs from the ones that don't hear and draw them to You Lord. Help them to see that You are the only way and we need to abide in Your word and walk in Your ways. Help us unite in You and not be divided in ourselves. Remove the evil ways from our hearts and replace it with Your goodness. Let Your everlasting, loving arms be with us and not against us. Strengthen our love and faith in You and let it grow and flow throughout our nation and the world. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Praise the Lord continually and always.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your love, wisdom, insight and encouragement! πHis Spirit is working powerfully through you and I am blessed by it.
ReplyDeleteAmen and Amen!
DeleteI am about to sign out, Dear JC Family. How fun it has been to go through the day with all of you.
ReplyDeleteI, too, along with my dear Hub, pray for our Country, morning, noon and night. He will be 77 next week and never dreamed he'd see this day. He is the Historian, the Researcher; knows the Constitution like some of us know lyrics to a song. It's in his blood and I am thankful for that, because I go so far and then practically start hyperventilating; tell him I can't hear one more horror story of what COULD happen. Again - brakes and accelerator. I pray for peace; he prays for justice and peace, but knows the truth of what our Forefathers went through to get us to the point of being free and, unlike me (maybe?), he will not give up. The atrocities of the last 4 years are too many to list. But, as I always say (and Hub agrees), God is still on His throne. We are his mouthpiece, His arms, legs and vehicles to move His Word. What that means for each of us will be different and that is where we walk with Him, very closely and do what OUR part of the body does. We can't all be eyes or ears or mouths....thank you, Father for reminding me of my part in the Body.
My test came back positive but I have had only cold symptoms, for which I'm SO VERY THANKFUL. Again, Hub and I handle it differently...he won't get tested. He said he has survived many more plights than this and until God tells him to ('Not you, Honey.'), is just fine. And so, I close my mouth...we are still free to do so.
Tonight, as I lit up all of the Christmas lights - again, he said, "So, when are we taking the decorations down?" I said, "I don't know honey - when ARE you going to do that? It's not in my near future." Laughing, he said, "Mmmm...great response. Don't think I'll be asking that again soon." Thank God, we can still laugh and see the Joy in our every day lives. It is only by His Grace and Mercy. Love to each of you - you will be in my prayers, as always.
Amen Norah!
DeleteNorah, Amen! He is still in charge. I love your gratitude and your beautiful light!
ReplyDeletePraying for you, dear sister, and for your good husband. May God take you both smoothly through your quarantine and may your stubborn but wonderful husband continue to feel well. May God carry you through this and show you His faithfulness.
Please pray for my twin Janet. She has a bad respiratory problem. Her blood pressure is through the roof and she has been doubling her meds. Yesterday her Dr said there aren’t enough tests to go around so she wasn’t ready to order one for her. But Janet will call her again today to ask for one. Love you, sweet Sister! Rest up.
Our dear Chris Payton,
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your Sunday, January 6, 2013 prayer, I thanked God that you persisted. 9 years ago you prayed:
I'd love to see people desiring to be laborers of your harvest. And I continue to pray you would raise up individuals and burden them with a desire to preach Your word and be more fired up than me. ,
I pray they are earnestly desiring and seeking to know You more. I pray they would surrender themselves to You daily and spend time praying and reading Your word. Deepen them and challenge them to be ambassadors for Your name. Move them to be laborers for the harvest. I pray for their marriages, that they would honor You, And I pray that they would be an encouragement to people in their life, in and outside of the Body. Draw them closer to You and give them peace and contentment. Help them to trust You each day and maintain joy and gratitude. Lord, give them sound wisdom.Lord, I ask Your Spirit to control my mind. I ask that my thoughts would be held captive to only thinking of things that honor you.And You are still there reminding me that you can do far beyond all that I could ask or imagine...
This and so much more came into fruition, 24/7, around the world, benefitting an untold number of souls, because you said yes and persisted in posting Sarah Young's Jesus Calling along with the actual Scriptural Words.
Seeing your January 6, 2013 prayers actualized exponentially 9 years later gives me the extra wind I need to persist in Praying, Worshipping, Waiting, and Working in His Vineyard for His Glory. Heartfelt Thanks to Sarah, Chris, and all of our JC Prayer Warrior Family Members who come in here to both give and receive the Goodness of God. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Amen, praying the above with you, Brie.

ReplyDeleteUp preparing the readings for my Bible group and I just stopped in and I'm so glad I got to read your post and prayer. First, I join in thanking dear Chris Payton.
Dear Chris, Sorry if I sometimes forget to thank you. I appreciate your beautiful thoughts and prayers and honesty. We are all so human and flawed. We are all sinners and have fallen short many times of pleasing our great and merciful God. May we all do our best in 2022 to walk closer in His Ways. More of Him and less of us.
Dear Brie. I just love your beautiful heart of love for the Lord and your trust in His promises. I must also say your inner child is just so much fun. I wish I could meet you someday. I know your bright eyes would be sparkling because just from your words I know the Christ in you is just beautiful to behold. Well I really need some serious sleep. I'm us so very late, or early. Goodnight and God bless you always and all our dear JC Family who I hold so close to my heart.
Amen Brie and Jeanne. Thank you Chris for bringing so many people together in the name of Jesus Christ π π. God bless.

ReplyDeleteLet everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! (Psalm 150:6). O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. (Isaiah 25:1). Because Your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. (Psalm 63:3-4).
ReplyDeleteAmen! Praise Him with every breath! Bless His Holy Name. Woke up in thanksgiving praising Him because I had a new day and also that I got sleep despite having Gabriel over for a sleepover. Every good thing is from Him. Gabriel said: I love Jesus! That blessed my day too.
DeleteThank you dear sister for sharing. Psalm 63:3-4 was a song we use to sing way back. Hope all is going well with you in this new year. We are all in great expectation of what goodness our God will shower upon His beloved people as we travel on this 2023! His JC family!ππππ₯³π. Hallelujah!

ReplyDelete"A thankful heart has plenty of room for Me."
ReplyDeleteLord I am so thankful to You. Take all the room in me, I want to be full of You. If that is not enough, enlarge me for Your purposes in my life.
ISAIAH 54:2
"Enlarge the place of your tent ( Increase your influence), And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings ( Increased Covering); Do not spare ( Do not hold back); Lengthen your cords ( Increase your reach) And strengthen your stakes (Dig deeper, hold tighter)."
1 Chronicles 4:10
"And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested."
Dear brother Peter, so thankful for sharing the word. Yesterday I had the prayer of Jabez in my mind but I couldn't think of it. Thank you! Now I have it! Bless you! πππ
DeleteI love these verses and your sweet prayer dear Peter. Thank you.
DeleteJoining warriors dear brother Peter in prayer for your family member saved by the goodness of the Lord. He provides shelter to the birds, why would He not shelter these loved ones. Dear Lord, we thank You for coming to the rescue. Now Lord we ask that a permanent home is just around the corner for them, in Jesus' name, amen! Hallelujah, it's done! Speaking of God's caring nature, I need to share an incident yesterday. I lost an earring a few days ago. In the car while driving I prayed, Lord, You are looking at where that earring is right now, that earring reminds me of my trip to Thailand Lord , my Thai stepmom had it dipped in 22 karat gold just for me. Please Lord focus my eyes on exactly where it's at. I got out of the car, got ready to shut the door, & there on the floor was the earring! How great is our God! Sing with me, how great! How great is our God!πΌ. So be encouraged today dear family, if our God cares for the little things, how much more will He care for big things. Amen! Hallelujah!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing story of God's faithfulness dear Jan. I have a similar one. When I had postpartum depression I lost a miraculous medal my Mom had given me at a beach. I looked everywhere. It was lost in the sand and many people were there. I felt bad leaving. 3 days later we went back and I prayed and looked for it and there in the sand right on top was my medal. God provides all our needs. Praying with you dear Jan for that permanent home to present itself to them. Thank You Father for this in the Name of Jesus! We know you can do all things and you already know their needs, even for their assist dog. Amen
DeleteMy late Mother often lost things, her prayer was so similar to yours ' Lord You can see it now please lead me to it Amen :)
DeleteAmen dear Janet. Surrendering to His will is important and thanking Him in good times and bad pleases Him and strengthens our trust. We walk forward boldly through the storms because He is at our side. May we all be filled with His light and may He remove any darkness within us. Let us not follow after the world and it's empty promises and trappings, but keep our focus on Him Who holds our hearts and our futures in His able Hands.
ReplyDeleteThank You Father for leading us, healing us and strengthening us according to Your Plan and for Your purposes in Jesus' Name we pray. We trust You, Lord. Amen
Thank you Father for the recovery of lost things... And people!
ReplyDeleteI kept thinking, 'What does this remind me of?' Then it hit me:
ReplyDeleteLuke 15:8-10
The Message
The Story of the Lost Coin
8-10 “Or imagine a woman who has ten coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and scour the house, looking in every nook and cranny until she finds it? And when she finds it you can be sure she’ll call her friends and neighbors: ‘Celebrate with me! I found my lost coin!’ Count on it—that’s the kind of party God’s angels throw every time one lost soul turns to God.”
One of my nieces gave me a very special necklace several years ago. It was a heart and had all of my Grands' birthstones. On the hear it said, "Nonnie's Greatest Blessings." One night I took off my turtleneck, forgetting that I had this necklace on. The chain broke, hit the floor and all of the birthstones scattered. I was on my hands and knees searching. I thought I'd found all of them and then discovered that one of the 'gems' was small piece of rock salt! I had the heart; took it to our local Jewelry Store and got all of the birthstones and replaced that lovely necklace (which I now need to add more birthstones to)! My point: God cared enough to help me piece that lovely thought (in a necklace) back together. He cares for OUR CARES. Whether a piece of gold, an earring, a medal or a birthstone...He cares for US!
Love to all of you, JC Family! Thanks, Peter, for reminding all of us of this great Truth!

GIVE THANKS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART♥️!
ReplyDeleteAmen! Give thanks with a grateful heart! We can’t thank God enough or praise Him enough. For He is so worthy of our praise and gratitude. And He is most pleased of our gratitude when we’re going through our deep valley times. It shows Him our trust in His faithfulness and our strength of faith. I’m waiting on the Lord on many things with hope and patience because He has already been so good to me. I believe He really cares about us just as our dear Norah said last year. He cares about even the little things. Nothing is too little or too big to bring to Him. And when you lay down in your bed so weary, let the last words in your heart be: Thank You Jesus.
ReplyDeletePsalm 92:1-2
It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
And Your faithfulness every night,
Good morning Jeanne- your words and posts are so uplifting for me every day! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to share your love and faith.
DeleteYes dear Jeanne, so uplifting & nourishing. Bless you with a great day & answers to your prayers as your strength is renewed by waiting on the Lord. ππ
DeleteDear Blessings from NY and Jan, Thank you both! You lift and encourage my heart too and I’m so thankful for your love and faith you share. God bless you always!
DeleteLet everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. (Psalm 150:6). To the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. (Ephesians 1:6).
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet I appreciate your your beautiful morning posts every day. God bless you
DeleteThanks for the good food, dear Janet!
DeletePraising God, giving thanks, gratitude ALWAYS changes my mindset about my life, and gives me a different perspective. Sometimes when my mind goes to worry, I take a walk and to stay in the moment, just look around and thank God for the leaves, all their different colors, the cloud formation, the fresh air. My husband and I have gratitude (for each other) journals which we write affirmations about the other person. It is very helpful in smoothing over bumpy parts in our relationship. I imagine God loves to hear our praise and affirmation too….
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to show God your gratitude! And to bond you both together in love and thanksgiving. I have a friend who has a gratitude candle and she lights it each day and remembers all she is thankful for.
DeleteOf course He does! That's a great idea. Journaling. ππ€
