Jesus Calling: August 25

I am the eternal I am; I always have been, and I always will be. In My Presence you experience Love and Light, Peace and Joy. I am intimately involved in all your moments, and I am training you to be aware of Me at all times. Your assignment is to collaborate with Me in this training process.
I have taken up residence within you; I am central in your innermost being. Your mind goes off to tangents from its holy Creator, time after time. Do not be alarmed by your inability to remain focused on Me. Simply bring your thoughts gently back to Me each time they wander. The quickest way to redirect your mind to me is to whisper My Name.

Exodus 3:14
English Standard Version

God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

I Corinthians 3:16
English Standard Version

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?

Verse thoughts
The great purpose of Christianity is to make His genuine followers like Jesus Christ. The temple of God is the church. Jesus' presence is manifested by the Spirit. His Spirit dwells in us, thus He (the Spirit) is making us like Jesus Christ.

Psalm 25:14-15
English Standard Version

14 The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him,
and he makes known to them his covenant.
15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord,
for he will pluck my feet out of the net.

Verse thoughts
Only those who have been born again, who have true fellowship (friendship) with the Lord can understand Him, know His covenant. We should not be baffled that people do not understand us. As a follower of Jesus you are going to be different, separate, unique - don't resist this and don't expect those that are not called will be like you. Yes, often we feel caught (in a net), yet our eyes remain on Him. He will help us out of any trouble.

  1. As I read this devotion this morning, there is a storm overhead. Lots of lightning, loud crashes of thunder, and pouring down rain. But I am sitting in an enclosure where I am safe and dry. I am at peace even with what is happening all around me. Raising this all to a spiritual level, such is my soul to the degree I stay in His heavenly enclosure, His love. As I am free to choose to run outside of my little enclosure, get wet and risk getting struck by lightning, so too, I am free to choose to run outside of God’s love and expose myself to the destructive elements of life. Why would anyone in his/her right mind do that? Why do I do that? Lord, have mercy.

    2. Don't do it! I have done it many times and I think just today I felt God's still small voice indicating that I must face that sin that besets me head on in order to fulfil my ministry. I cannot be in denial but must rather, without glorifying sin, recall its destruction to the forefront of my mind so that I do not become complacent and fall back again...and again...and again.

  2. It still amazes me how present our Lord and savior is and how the Holy Spirit never ever leaves us. I have been struggling for the last couple weeks and every time I open up God's word every time I open up a devotional it's the same reoccurring theme. The Holy Spirit has taken up residence Within Me. We will know the truth and the truth will set us free. The Lord wants us walking in Freedom. Even followers of Christ can find themselves in the bondage too particular sins despite repeated attempts to change. But Jesus says that if we continue in God's word we will know the truth. The Holy Spirit is feeding me and feeding me as I am struggling. And again it just amazes me amazes me how he refuses to let go. I've never had that in my life. has my wall get stronger my spiritual battle becomes more chaotic. And every time Satan ramps it up the Lord is right there telling me to go back to the truth for the truth will set me free. Focus On Christ lose yourself in the glory of Christ. So here I am once again this morning opening up this devotional and that only did the devotional speak to me through the Holy Spirit but the words of other believers touched me deeply. the Lord is saying I'm not alone we all fight against the flesh. Yet we remind ourselves that we are no longer dominated by sin. Lord help me again walk in your word Walk In Your Truth and drawn that strength that you have given me through your death through your blood. I know I have been set free and I'm no longer a prisoner. Yes I know in your presence I am Shelter From The Storm. Why would I go out into the lightning and the pounding rain? But sometimes I do. Sometimes I do and like Paul we do not know why for we do the things we don't want to do as if are dead bodies attached to our new body we are righteous and we are sinful. So Lord you fed me over and over again with your truth and I will continue to cling to it even if I have to cling to it sometimes hourly just to get through the day. When I am feeling weak I will whisper your name. And then I will shout your name. And then I will rebuke all that there is to rebuke in your Mighty and holy name Jesus Christ

    1. Amen! So much truth. Sometimes we forget the simple and amazing truth that He abides within us and we act according to the flesh and not the spirit. We lean on our human emotions and get into trouble. But when we do, in our faith we cry out like David and in His great love, mercy and faithfulness, He grabs hold of us and lifts us up out of our despair and soon turns our tears into rejoicing. Such a great Father!!

Do. Space, gap the answer never explained. Then thank God
The flesh has to be trained 1 minute at time. After a little suffering we are perfected. It takes 20 days to put a new habit in. Get comfortable with it.Hurting, where do I put my misguided intention.
I see Jesus high lifted up in Glory. I can worship. Or sayGlory! Glory! All day, as I hear all of heaven say one word. I am one heaven, moving deeper into him. Anything I give up, He will give me something better.

  4. When I climb in bed at night, You are with me. When I rise up in the morning, You are right there. Thank You Lord for taking up residence within me. Great I AM, I need You always. Thank You Father.

This morning my JC Family, I pray that the devil will NOT succeed in taking your minds of our Creator, you will receive God's divine direction and attention in all areas of your life.
God will empower you by His mercy to dominate all situations and circumstances surrounding you.
By His abundant grace, the Lord will bless you and make His face to shine upon you. By His mercy, anywhere you go, you will not be humiliated. As the Lord lives and His Spirit lives, you and your family will not die, but live to accomplish that which HE has destined for you in Jesus name!
Whatever represents defeat in your life, the Lord will by His mercy turn it to victory, and you will rejoice in Jesus Mighty Name.
Remember, when the going gets tough and you can't see a way out, look no further, the Great I AM is right there, He is Your Father, Lord, Saviour and Friend. Just call that name: JESUS!
Go out this Sunday in the might of the living God and be victorious. Know who you are and WHOSE you are: A child of the Great 'I AM'!

Praying also this morning for the ones who will deliver the words in places of worship and Thankful for the ONE who will Honor HIS WORDS!

Glory to the Great "I AM WHO I AM"!!

    1. Dearest Maplewood, Today’s devotion and your post from last year spoke directly to me.
Did you ever feel you had a difficult task to do and you felt like giving up so you prayed and God answered saying I’m right here and I have given you all the equipment you need to do this. So keep working! And then a peace filled you that was unexplainable and you got the job done well because He never left your side. Well that happened before I went to bed. I have been working hard on a drawing of my grandson Gabriel who will turn 2 on Sept 15th. I’m going on vacation Monday for 2 weeks and I just have to finish it by then. Every night I sit and work hard and speak to Him saying I know You are helping me and we will get this drawing done. Last night I thought I did a good job on the nose and mouth but then realized they needed to be moved a little and soon things started to go wrong. I felt the evil one trying to trip me up. I cried out to God saying Father I need you! I exclaimed it’s not going well and I don’t want to give up because I wanted this drawing to bring Him glory. Then I heard Him first very quietly as if to say Ye of little faith:. Why are you afraid. I never left you. I’m right here. This is going to be the best drawing you ever did because I equipped you to do it. Just keeping working. I felt this amazing peace and comfort and I said Your presence is with me! You are truly in this place. I worked a while longer and reached the halfway point and I looked at the face I had just finished and it was my dear little Gabriel looking back at me. And I cried and said thank you Jesus! And i went to sleep exhausted but so thankful and amazed at my wonderful Father!!! And the great work He did through me and for my grandson.

    3. You hear heaven also as I do 24/7? God chased me gave me bionic ear. I’m so lonely for someone to hear heaven also! Yesterday was His Coronation!!
Yamahas is here also. If I said I see angels, folks think ok I believe. If I only hear, think your nuts. Each day is twice as much intense. Soon the earth will shake, crack under weight, Glory of heaven that’s pronounced on every blade of grass, also. It’s Jesus planet after all. I just agree with heaven the word. Glory! Glory! Even in the store. It’s finality everyday. Pretty sure I won’t wake up here tomorrow.
They say He was here. Angels only react. NOW to us can’t be explained from heavens viewpoint. Angels want 2 or 4 more years freedom. It’s not freedom to me. I went to heaven 3 times in one week in February.
I had to come back for at least one more soul, standing by God danger I felt was overwhelming. He said “ Stay as long as you like.” I do tryed. My mind pulled me back, there’s souls to be saved. Seeds to plant.

  11. Good morning JC family! I don’t comment often but I read Sarah’s message and your posts/prayers each morning during my quiet time. In prayer today, I was overcome to the point of tears with the truth of how blessed I am. I’ve been looking for work for months and that’s been discouraging at times. My husband is disabled, and that is stressful at times. I’ve lost both my mom and brother in the past two years, and that’s been difficult to get through. However, we have three intelligent, beautiful, loving daughters; the youngest graduates college in 2 weeks. And we have great relationships with all of them. We have 4 fabulous grandkids, all of them healthy and strong. Despite being out of work, we have the financial means to manage and even though I experience the aches & pains that come with getting older, the barrage of regular “age appropriate” medical tests have shown me to be healthy on all fronts (so far...one more to get through). Our wonderful church is just 6 minutes away and I’m able to serve there and meet new people every week. But mostly, I’m blessed to have God, my Abba Father, by my side. To be able to walk with Jesus knowing His plan and guidance are perfect and that no matter what missteps I may take, He’s here loving me back onto His path. Thank you my brothers and sisters in Christ, for posting your prayers, encouragements, prayer requests and thoughts for the rest of us to share. This blog has truly added a new dimension and intimacy to my time with Him. Happy Sunday and Blessings to you all!

  20. Loving Father, Thank You for a new day. I confess that You are the Word who came in the form of flesh and dwelt amongst us. You are the most wonderful and powerful God. You are mighty in word and indeed. You are indeed the “Great I Am”, who will always be there, when and where I need You. Your grace is sufficient for me! Thank You Father. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

In Exodus 3, God, appeared to Moses in the form of a burning bush, and told him He was sending him to free the Israelites from their slavery in Egypt. Moses worried that the people would not believe that God had sent him, so he asked if, "they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?" (Exodus 3:13). Moses asked God for His name, and the response was a surprising "I AM WHO I AM… This is my name forever" (Exodus 3:14–15). This response translates as, "I will be what I will be' and that God is not limited to a particular domain, but it sets Him apart from all the foreign gods the people knew. This declaration is God saying that He is: self-existent, eternal, self-sufficient, self-directed, and unchanging. He is there for us, no matter when or where. In a nut-shell, God was assuring Moses that He would become what they would need Him to become and that is bringing them back into harmony with Him.
In the New Testament (Rev. 1:8), He also declared: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” This is true of Him for all time. Jesus also self-identified in John 8:58 by saying, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am."
Cheer up because no matter what you may be going through, the resurrected Jesus can stop it through His powerful word! To all of His people/believers, God will be all that we need to make our calling and election sure. “I AM” is a promise made to us and we can count on Him to be that and more! Hallelujah!

Dear Father, Thank you for being to us, THE:
I AM whose will is being done
I AM on earth even as I AM in heaven
I AM giving this day daily bread to all
I AM forgiving all life this day even as
I AM also all life forgiving us
I AM leading all men away from temptation
I AM delivering all men from every evil condition
    I AM the kingdom
    I AM the power and
I AM the glory of God in eternal, immortal manifestation- All this “I AM” (Not meant to take away from the amazing Lord's Prayer, just another expression of who He is to us!). In Jesus’ name! Amen!

    Blessings and Peace1

    1. Dear Fern and all Stormies, That would be us. It's been raining here all night and still is. Even though I can't see the sun, I know it is always shining. And until I can give the Victory Report, I am singing loud enough for all of us:
In the eye of the storm
      You remain in control
And in the middle of the waters
      You guard my soul
      You alone are the anchor
      When my sails are torn
      Your love surrounds me
In the eye of the storm

When the solid ground is falling out from underneath my feet
Between the black skies and my red eyes, I can barely see
When I realize I've been sold out by my friends and my family
I can feel the rain reminding me

In the eye of the storm, You remain in control
In the middle of the waters, You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn
      Your love surrounds me
In the eye of the storm

Mmm, when my hopes and dreams are far from me
And I'm runnin' out of faith
I see the future I pictured slowly fade away
And when the tears of pain and heartache
      Are pouring down my face
I find my peace in Jesus' name

In the eye of the storm (yeah, yeah)
You remain in control (yes you do, Lord)
In the middle of the waters

I've only got a few months left
      It's like a bitter pill I'm swallowing
I can barely take a breath
And when addiction steals my baby girl
And there's nothing I can do
My only hope is to trust You
      I trust You, Lord

      Oh, in the eye of
Lord, in the eye of the storm
I know You're watching me, yeah
      Ay

When the storm is raging (when the storm is raging)
And my hope is gone (and my hope is gone, Lord)
      When my flesh is failing
You're still holding on, oh whoa
When the storm is raging (the storm is raging)
And my hope is gone (and all my hope is gone)
When my flesh is failing (my flesh is failing)
      You're still holding on, ooh

And my hope is gone (and my hope is gone)
Even when my flesh is failing (flesh is failing)
You're still holding on, holding on

I have all that I need
He lets me rest in green meadows
He leads me beside peaceful waters
      He renews my strength
He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His Name
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid
For You are close beside me

I'm one of your JC followers, who reads the daily devotions and comments. I bask in the wonderful words of admonition and encouragement, but never comment or post needs. Today I beg you all to pray for my son Jared. I received a call this morning that he needs serious prayer. He's actually in " the Eye of the Storm right now - in the Florida panhandle as TS Marco leaves and Laura is barreling in from behind. But his real storm is in his heart and mind. He's suffering from a major panic attack as I write this - one of many in recent months. He's going through a terrible divorce which involves children, he's lost his job due to his mental instability, about to be evicted from his home, about to have his truck re-poed, overdrawn at the bank. He's in a terrible mess and feels hopeless. He suffers from PTSD ( Afghanistan) and is bi-polar. The VA is not understanding or helpful. He can not even deal with them in his condition right now! HE NEEDS PRAYER! I need suggestions! Please! Concerned Mama

  32. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. (Ephesians 2:18). And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." (Exodus 33:14). You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11). One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4). But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works. (Psalm 73:28).

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and being a part of my life. Allow my heart to be filled with a refreshing of "falling in love with You" all over again. Let my love and faith in You grow even stronger in me every moment of every day. Thank You for all You do and all You are. You are so good to me. I praise You Lord always. Let my eyes sparkle in Your gaze upon me and let them always remain focused on You above all else. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

  34. Just want to comment on NJS post yesterday. We do Most certainly need to "tap" in to the Lord of the universe! I'm tapping in this day, I need to drink of His living water, drink, drink until I think I am quenched, then drink more. I feel as if I've been walking across a dry & thirsty land lately, not realizing how parched I am. Storms have come one after another, but no rain to help my thirst, just wind & dust. I could hardly breathe. Your prayers were like a shelter for me. You've encouraged me to trust and trust I will. God has not forgotten me! He is near, offering me His living water to strengthen me.

Cause me to come to thy river oh Lord
Cause me to come to thy river oh Lord
Cause me to come to thy river oh Lord
Cause me to come, cause me to drink, cause me to live! I love You Jesus.

  36. Good Morning Dear JC Family! I have been reading and praying for all of you. Celebrating your Birthday, Brie and mine, the 23rd and still going. HA HA...in our family, if you don't celebrate the whole month, you think something is wrong. We have 5 August BDs in our family and have been gathering, texting and talking since 8/1. I had planned on taking yesterday and today off work. Yesterday, for my sister, who was coming to me to take me to lunch. On Monday, at her 4:00 Dr. appt, she found out she has Shingles and couldn't come. So I worked yesterday. My Sister is feeling better and we are going to reschedule in the next week or so. Today, I slept until I wanted to wake up, have spent the last hour and a half praying, reading, sharing with Son #2 and my Dear Hub. Later, my DH and I will join friends at their pool - first time in a bathing suit and pool for me in over a year! As my little Granddaughter would say, "It may not be "pwetty," Nonnie," and I laugh as I think this, knowing they love me anyway.
I have been 'exercising' in His Word and boosting myself with His Love as I meet new challenges and changes. In 2 months, this may be my 'new' routine - to wake when I want and have leisurely coffee with my Best Man and no sense of 'hurry up' when I read God's Word. What a blessing.
My prayer requests involve my cases, as always, the aching hearts and financial needs, prayers for my family, all the Littles. Rejoicing in the victories God has given me the privilege to be a part of. Prayers for all of you, for our dear MadFox, who I trust is still going strong and blessing all those around him. For Maplewood, Bob, Brie, Jan...uh oh - STOP! I'll surely leave someone out. :) Prayers for you Dear Jeannie. I smiled so big when I read about your portrait of your Grandson. I remember that as if it were yesterday. Love to each of you. May each of us continue to "train" as we pull our minds back to the greatness of His Word and our Sonship rights.

    1. Dear Norah. Sounds like you are still celebrating your Birthday and you're surrounded by a lot of love. Enjoy the pool and don't worry about not looking "pwetty". We are just wearing our earth suits and someday we will be perfect and facing our Lord and Savior. Looking forward to you finally having that new routine and getting more rest.
I was up till 3:30 last night for a good reason. I had planned to work on a painting for a friend that I was in the middle of but I forgot to bring it to my Mom's. But I had some paints and brushes and I found a wrinkled photo of a waterscape from Europe. Not sure where it was taken. I told God it was much too hard to start at 11:00 at night. So I just started painting a sky and putting down colors and before I knew it. I was painting that difficult picture. God had his plan and now I have a painting to give my good Husband on the 29th, our 40th Wedding Anniversary. God is just so good and He is in charge. Thanks for all your prayers and know that you and all my family here are in mine. God bless you all. Pulling my weary mind back to the greatness of His Word and my Sonship rights! Blessed to belong to such a great and merciful God.
Father God, please grant all our prayers of those who are in our JC Family, seen and unseen, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

  37. “Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure; they will have no fear” (Psalm 112:6-8).

Loving Father, Thank You for living in me and knowing everything about me. Today, I lay my heavy burden on You and trust that my concerns will be met according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. In the midst of any disappointment in my life or that of my family, please free me to trust more and fret less, keep my eyes fixed on Jesus and watch Your hand work in all of our situations. Help me to accept disappointing news, not with sadness or heaviness, but with a bend in my knees and with active surrender to the You who does all things well. I seek Your Love, Peace and Joy this day and the days ahead. Scripture tells me to be confident because You who started a good work, will surely bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). This hope will not lead to disappointment, because I know how dearly You love us, that You have also given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with Your love (Romans 5:5). Thank You for grace and Peace in Your presence today. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

“I will sacrifice to you with songs of thanksgiving. I will keep my vow. Victory belongs to the LORD! (Jonah 2:9).

Thank you Lord for the grace in which you gave provided for me just for today, thank you Lord for also providing the peace in which you provided for me for my 22 year old son Kirk: he has c o nsidered for a month. Unbeknownst to us, that he has been considering moving in with his friend, strictly as a roommate named Cora...She, apparently, is considered a they, while identifying another as a she, nor he, an introvert with a cat on which Kirk loves...Cats!! He has always been a non-judgmental person, and also a compassionate person who will be a companion, as well as a friend.....There is no doubt that this is a God filled journey for him, if he acknowledges it or not. When I I asked him about her parents, he confided to me that it's complicated...so I didn't pry...Thank you God that I didn't judge, and also hold his power Supreme above all else....Thank you God for this piece of mind Amen, and Thank you!

  40. Dear Butterfly, If you love someone you must let them go. We must let our children make their own decisions. But keeping him in prayer is the way to bless his life. He will find peace if he seeks the Lord, and he is on a faith journey that God has prepared for him. If he is compassionate then that is a wonderful quality. May his heart be open to receive God's spirit of love and truth. I'm glad you are not judging him. God is the only judge and we are all imperfect. God already knows about Cora and her parents. It may be complicated for us, but not for God. Put it all in His loving and able hands. Praying your son draws very close to the Lord and puts all of his trust in Him. Thank You Jesus!

  48. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
    Romans 12:15

We are blessed to have Christian friends to encourage and support us as we serve Christ! Our loads are too heavy to carry alone, and we need someone to rejoice and to weep with us. It begins when we make ourselves available to rejoice and weep with someone needing us. Today the Lord may bring across your path someone needing your simple presence.Praying to bless those whose path I encounter.

  51. Many people, read the Jesus Calling blog, not all are Christian, some are more familiar with the Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, the Tanakh or the Qur'an than with Bible Scripture.
    Today's reading begins with:
" I am the eternal I am; I always have been, and I always will be."
Thus Almighty God had no beginning and had no end, the ever present I AM.
In many Biblical Scriptures we read that He is the Alpha and Omega.
In Hebrew, reading from right to left we read Aleph and Tav (אֵ֥ת). The Greek representation of this is Alpha and Omega, our A to Z ( both reading left to right).
Eternal God, who knows everything, planned and purposed for every possible outcome that we might be allowed to live with Him eternally, but only through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He had no sin of his own, He died only for our sin.
God's foreknowledge means that God knows the end from the beginning and has left nothing undone, nothing left out.
He had a plan all along that includes all possibilities, all situations, all circumstances and all outcomes.
His plan includes His involvement and help in any situation in our lives, if we seek Him.
The choice is ours as to whether we seek Him while He may be found, enjoying salvation in the Lordship of Jesus Christ throughout the rest of our lives.
Reading scripture of any kind does not open the way to heaven.
We need to make a deliberate choice, an act of our will, for salvation is personal and not generic, we are not born Christianly acceptable to God. Neither is it an intellectual acquiescence, it's a heart matter; confession of sin, repentance of sin, belief that Jesus Christ IS the Son of God, that His sacrifice was for me personally.
One teaching to Sunday School children is 'A, B, C': Admit sin is in your life, Believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin, Confess, say sorry to God, confess Jesus is now your Lord and Savior.
    In further explanation:
God rules—The Bible tells us God created everything, including you and me, and He is in charge of everything. (Genesis 1:1; Revelation 4:11; Colossians 1:16-17)
We sinned—We all choose to disobey God. The Bible calls this sin. Sin separates us from God and deserves God’s punishment of death. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)
God provided—God sent Jesus, the perfect solution to our sin problem, to rescue us from the punishment we deserve. It’s something we, as sinners, could never earn on our own. Jesus alone saves us. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Jesus gives—Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. Because Jesus gave up His life for us, we can be welcomed into God’s family for eternity. This is the best gift ever! (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18)
We respond—We can respond to Jesus by saying Thank You for forgiving my sin, thank You for saving me, help me to live for you every day.

I'm so glad that He is mine and I am His.

  56. JC Prayer Warriors. For whatever reason, today's theme from Sarah seemed to be most appropriate for my current circumstances. JC: "In My Presence you experience Love and Light, Peace and Joy" And 1 of the scriptures is: I Corinthians 3:16: "Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?"

Since He dwells within us, in the Spirit, and He tells us that we can be at peace in His presence with Joy via His Love and Light... it would seen to be as simple as praying and recognizing he is hearing you within yourself in the form of the Holy Spirit. How this works is surely a profound mystery... but our God is as close as our own body and thoughts. How comforting is that? Scripture often says He is holding our hand with His right hand (remember the right is showing peace). This is simply using poetic wording of His literal dwelling inside us as the Spirit.

Thank you Father, Son, and Spirit, I should "fear no evil for Thou art with me." For now, I gain peace as the challenges of today are tackled with God at my side. Peace fellow JC warriors. Amen

    Psalm 18:6

to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears.

    Psalm 50:15
    and call upon me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

  58. But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the LORD God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works. (Psalm 73:28). For through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. (Ephesians 2:18). And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest." (Exodus 33:14). Then I was beside Him, as a master workman; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him, (Proverbs 8:30).

  59. "I am intimately involved in all your moments, and I am training you to be aware of Me at all times. Your assignment is to collaborate with Me in this training process."
(from August 24th: "Since I live in you, let Me also live through you, shining My light into the darkness.")
    Part 1:
    Food for thought:
The spiritual DNA of Christians -
So many in these last of the last days are confused in identity, this demonic influence even tries to confuse the little ones. The enemy of our souls is the author of confusion.
As Christians we have (or should have) no doubt as to our true identity as physically born male or female and spiritually born again son or daughter of God.
We are sons or daughters of the Most High God:
    1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
    Galatians 3:26-29
26 "So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."
    2 Corinthians 6:18.
"I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
    Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV
"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 18 All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen."
    Mark 16:15-18 NKJV
"And He said to them, 15 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

  60. Part 2:
The initials, DNA, stand for DeoxyriboNucleic Acid – the molecule that contains the genetic code of organisms. DNA is inherited by children from their biological parents. This is why they share traits from both parents such as skin, hair, and eye color, often other characteristics and mannerisms too. DNA is what makes us who and what we are.
Our spiritual DNA comes from God, at the New Birth when we are 'born again'.
    2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NKJV
16 "Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

The life of God in us made us a new creature – one who follows in the footsteps of his/her Heavenly Father, not merely in the footsteps of our earthly parents. We are now not of this world and have been given His nature and He commissions us to GO with the Great Commission in our heart – and also to bear good fruit, based on the fruit of the Spirit - God's DNA.
    John 15:1-8 NKJV
1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."

    ReplyDelete
  61. Part 3:
By bearing fruit, we prove that we are His offspring, His disciples. A very important property of DNA is that it replicates itself, or make exact copies of itself. Just as we pass our DNA, inherited from our parents, to our children; so we are to pass along our spiritual DNA, inherited from Father God, to others. This can only happen when our spiritual DNA shows in our lives.
Your disciples will be just like you. We must be what we want others to be – more like Jesus. Always point people to Jesus and let them see Him in you.
    Luke 6:43-45 NKJV
43 "For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."

When we witness on a one to one basis, or preach the Gospel with power, great things will happen – increase and multiplication will take place. The Kingdom of God will advance and light will dispel the darkness. Our DNA leads us to obey the Great Commission. It is impossible for one man to do everything, so everyone must do something.
    Each one, reach one.
    Each one, teach one.
Make them to be disciples – to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.

  62. Part 4:
    James 1:21-25 NKJV
21 "Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does."

    Luke 6:46-48 NKJV
46 "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock."
We are founded on the Rock of our salvation, we are His children, His spiritual DNA is our identity.
Just as He gave Himself for our salvation we too are to give ourselves to Him for the salvation of others.
