Jesus Calling: December 7

I AM with you in all that you do, even in the most menial task. I am always aware of you, concerned with every detail of your life. Nothing escapes My notice -- not even the number of hairs on your head. However, your awareness of My Presence falters and flickers, as a result, your life experience feels fragmented. When your focus is broad enough to include Me in your thoughts, you feel safe and complete. When your perception narrows so that problems or details fill your consciousness, you feel empty and incomplete.
Learn to look steadily at Me in all your moments and all your circumstances. Though the world is unstable and in flux, you can experience continuity through your uninterrupted awareness of My Presence. Fix your gaze on what is unseen, even as the visible world parades before your eyes.
Matthew 10:29-31
English Standard Version
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Hebrews 11:27
English Standard Version
By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.

2 Corinthians 4:18
English Standard Version
as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

My Prayer
Lord, you are with me. I need to know this at each moment, at each task in my day. Remind me. I don't want to lose sight of You living, working, being in my life. Lord, I must admit, my life seems segmented. I have time with you in the morning, then time at work, time with family, time doing chores - Help me Jesus to allow me to see You throughout my day so that I am never losing your presence in me. O Lord, thank you for the value you place on me and considering me valuable, that I am your child, and you want to be with me throughout my day.

  1. "your awareness of My Presence falters and flickers, as a result, your life experience feels fragmented" True assessment of the human condition. Our goal should be to pray without ceasing, but as we know, our self-talk wanders from God to a focus on our wants and needs. Father help me to walk with you moment to moment always. Amen

  2. I’ve just completed reading the gospel lesson for today (Matthew 9:27-31) and enter into this time you and I have together. In the gospel lesson, two blind men are following Jesus and begging for Him to have mercy on them. The way the story is told by Matthew, Jesus did not immediately address them. The text goes on to say, Jesus entered a house and obviously they have continued to follow Him for He now chooses to address their prayer for mercy. He asks, “Do you believe I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Jesus touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored. I am humbled by the thought that the blind men received healing to the degree they believed in Jesus. Obviously, they had a very strong belief in Jesus because they did not give up on following Him even though He did not respond immediately and when He did respond, their sight was restored as they believed. I am inspired by a faith that is persistent and does not give up. I am also inspired by a faith that believes in Jesus desire and capability to show absolute mercy and do a complete job on their need. The two blind men fixed their eyes on Jesus, first spiritually which then became literally. (As the blind men prayed) Have mercy on me, Son of David!

    2. Thank you for sharing this. This is exactly what I needed to hear today. I realized that I have been following Jesus, crying out but when the question is asked " do you believe that I can do this?" Honestly I hadn't.

    3. Thank you Bob and Amen. We must also stand steadfast in our faith even if we are not seeing answered prayers. He will grant them in His own timng. Faith is believing what you cannot see. We are all somewhat blind now because we can not see the future but He can. Now is the time to trust in Him completely and be hopeful and patient.

    7. What does believing look like to you? Is it simply if you know, you know? Is it passion in all you do? Is it staying conscious of God as much as is humanly possible for you? Is it visual for you? Asking for a friend...

    8. 2 years later, and I am just seeing this post, Sister Friend.
Hopefully, it is not to late for your friend 😉
To me, Believing looks like a dream, when I close my eyes and "see" imaginings inside my head, wherein the situation is resolved so well, the resolution brings a smile to my face. I don't see the middle part, nor all the moving parts Jesus had to put in place to make the end happen. Nor do I see what he had to go through with the people He needed to work through and how long they took to respond to HIM (OOPS! That would be me!) I only see the beginning and the end.
      Thank You Jesus! AMEN!

  6. Keith--- I rejoiced at your response to Bri concerning Johnny, "Yes we will pray." Great things happen when people pray. I contine prayer for the Lord's guiding hand on your life. There is a true story about the miracle in Seadrift, Tx. It tells of how the town prayed for ALL their young men (52 of them) to come home safe from WW2. They ALL made it home safe because of all the prayer. I like to read about their miracle. It gives me courage and strength and reminds me how great of God we serve. And, He responds to our prayers! Great blessings and peace to you Keith and this MIGHTY group of PRAYER WARRIORS! May we ALL "Look steadily at Him in all our moments and all our circumstances."

  15. Hello Brothers and Sisters my Name is Justin Houston and i am a intimate lover in Christ and Warrior in his Name. I follow daily with everyone the devotionals and prayers, and joyously praise testimonies I've read. I rarely comment usually just pray along and thank the the lord daily for his movement and blessings to everyone and their families. It seems the lord has put it on my heart heavy to ask for prayers regarding Extreme Spiritual Warfare I'm Battling in the present moment, and have been since the lord began unveiling the curtain into to the unseen and forces of darkness about 5 years ago. The lord has blessed me with the Gift of Discernment. Long story short I'm completely cornered in constant attacks of deception and lies from all my family and friends. I seems I've been stripped of any and everyone except Christ. My faith is not shaken and I have no doubt hes with me in every beat of my heart throughout this. Things are getting dangerously close to Harming my life or my Freedom. I love jesus so much and would never change who I am in christ to fix or replace anything. I'm a Father of 4 Boys.. and a husband..I've fought hard to get my family back or simply just be present in my son's life.. the world has taken it all for the moment and try's everything in its power to keep me away. I know the good lord has them protected and in his hands no matter what satan thinks. It's just hard not seeing or hearing they're voice. All of my friends and family have turned against me because of who I am so I'm completely alone in Christ. I consider myself Lucky in many ways Considering Hes the the very air I breathe. This persecution has beautifully Hand detailed molded me in Christ and has caused me to hold so tightly to the the Cross I see why I'm here and where the lord is directing me for his purpose and Glory Alone. And I am so so Grateful! I am in the Flesh though and I've never hurt this much and felt so entrapped in my life. Please pray for Peace in my life guys and Most of all Against Satan and his malicious deceitful schemes and that through all this Jesus is Upmost Glorified no matter my outcome! Regardless Satan has already lost and is Confused By his Eternal Brain Swell from His Head Stomp that finished it. I love you all! And thank you so much! May your prayers Tremble the Earth beneath their feet crumbling all that is rising against me. IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

Father, I thank you for Justin's boldness, his faith in you and ask that you grant him the peace he desires. You are the God who heals, restore and puts all broken pieces together. As Justin stated, the devil has already lost! The forces of darkness are already defeated, so we thank You for hearing Your son's cry and answering him in the name of Jesus. Amen.

    5. Thank you all so much for the prayers and words of encouragement. I am continually reminding myself to stay focused on Jesus and He will lead me on the path He has planned for me. Jesus has brought my attention back to Jeremiah 29:11 "for I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." Jesus definitely has His hand over me through this spiritual Warfare. I just need to continue praying and asking Christ to give me peace through the mist of hard trials and tribulations. Prayer is the strongest weapon against the evil in this world. The more we pray as a whole, the stronger we get in Jesus' glorious name!

The others above said it better anyway. I went through what you describe and the thing that helped me was to have Bible verses ready to say during an attack because that is our weapon to make the evil flee. 19. I used to think that I should only come to God with "big" stuff/problems vs coming to Him for virtually everything in my day, thinking, 'I don't need to ask for help with such menial tasks'. How wrong I was. Talking with Him throughout my day has only strengthened my connection and relationship with Him and made me feel more peaceful. As my Yaya used to say, "Let me talk to my good friend, Jesus" about this or that. I now understand that He wants us to have this daily conversation with Him and that we're not being a bother with what we think to be trivial things in our day. How comforting is THIS?! He IS and always has been my BFF wanting me to talk to Him throughout my day! May you all have a blessed day, JC Warriors/Family!

  20. God is the Great I AM! “This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3:15).

Loving Father, Thank You for another great and blessed day. Someday I will see Your full glory and be in Your presence. For now, may Your glorious name “I AM” invade my thoughts and prayer today. The great “I AM” is with me today and every day, for that and so much more, I say Thank You Lord for JESUS. Amen.

God’s divine name speaks of His character and His attributes. When He declared to Moses in Exodus 3:14, “I AM WHO I AM, tells us that there is NO one before or after Him! His name “I AM” describes His full existence, His plan, purpose, power, and assurances. He was everything the Israelites needed back then, He was never going to fail or let them down. The other good news is, He is everything we need today and will never let us down either! His intensity of purpose and care for us in our lives has not and will not change!

The Apostle John gave us seven designations of God the “I AM.”

“I AM the bread of life…” John 6:48
“I AM the light of the world…” John 8:12
“I AM the door of the sheep…” John 10:7
    “I AM the good Shepherd…” John 10:11
“I AM the resurrection and the life…” John 11:2
“I AM the way, the truth, and the life…”John 14:6
    “I AM the true vine…” John 15:1

May we keep our gaze on the Great “I AM”, He knows every strand of hair on our heads, even when they fall off (LOL!).

    Blessings and Peace.

    2. THE WORD OF GOD IS A POWERFUL WEAPON!
The GREAT I AM is with us in all that we do, even in the most menial and the most maximal tasks. Our part? We will need to TRUST THE GREAT IAM for  God's Helmet of Salvation, TRUST THE GREAT IAM for the SWORD of God's Holy Spirit, which is The Spirit-WORD of God, TRUST THE GREAT IAM is with us in all that we do, TRUST THE GREAT IAM in all our moments, TRUST THE GREAT IAM in all our situations and circumstances!
♥🙏🙏🙏♥ Dear Heavenly Father God, Thank You for giving us Your Word as a sword weapon to win every battle we face. Would You help us take Your Sword (Spirit's WORD) out of their sheaths by taking our bibles off their shelves?  Instead of giving up and giving in, would You help us pull out our Jeremiah 29:11 weapon? And battle everything loudly and proudly, while proclaiming:
✝️ THE GREAT IAM, THE LORD OF HOSTS, THE GOD OF ISRAEL SAYS: HE KNOWS WELL THE PLANS HE HAS FOR ME. HIS PLANS ARE PLANS FOR MY GOOD! TO GIVE ME A FUTURE FULL OF HOPE! SO BE IT AND SO IT IS. AMEN.
Would you help us lean on Your Powerful Word, rather than rely on our own  feeble strength? And would You accept our gratitude for giving us Your Words to use, and when we use them, experience Your Promises to sustain us through every battle until Your Victory is won?
In Jesus' Name. I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. Amen.

    3. Audra, I share your sentiment. Many times when I do not want to post, the Holy Spirit tells me, fix your gaze on what and who is unseen, rather than on your feeble vision of the visible parade and post anyway. IAM sending someone into the JC Warriors prayer room who needs this for themselves or their dear ones. YES! Lord.

  25. Good Morning, JC Family! What a blessing to read all of these wonderful posts over the last 2 days. I was on early yesterday morning and throughout the day, but wanted to get my thoughts in order before posting.
Welcome Justin and NJS and everyone on this wonderful blog. I thank you for your prayers and please know that I am praying for you. Yesterday, my hub and I tuned in for our Zoom Fellowship. It had been a couple of weeks since we last met due to the Thanksgiving holiday and traveling for some. I was SO ready for it and my heart was prepared to receive the Word and, as always, I was not disappointed.
The focus was on PEACE and as we know from the gospel of John (thank you, Maplewood!), we are encouraged to be 'neither troubled or afraid. Peace I leave you, My peace, I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
As I read through our posts from the past several years, I see the 'flatness' or 'blaahs' that can try to steal my joy, often during the 'most wonderful time of the year,' (song for you, Brie) :). I see where I didn't want to continue sharing b/c I didn't want to bring people down by the grayness that tries to creep into my heart during the Holidays. The details of what led to that really don't matter now, as those particulars are resolved, but as we all know the enemy always tries to bring new ones, especially when a pattern that worked (for him) is present.
I wanted to thank each of you who have prayed for me over the years and I wanted to let all of you know that I continue to pray for each of you on here - new and 'old.' Every day, we have a choice...His way or the way of the world. We are warned and encouraged not to choose the ways of the world, for in that we will always be empty and disappointed. We renew our minds to the Word because the carnal mind is enmity against God. To be spiritually minded is life and PEACE. Due to our free will, we have to choose what we think, speak and act upon.
So, my CHOICE is to cleave to His Word. To say, 'No thanks,' to the world's solutions and refuse to let them in. As our minister said yesterday, every day (moment, hour) we are involved in a competition or as some say, a battle. Every day it is present. On the 'quiet days,' it doesn't mean the spiritual battle is not still going on, but if we look back at 'What made this day different,' I bet we'll all see that it's because of the time we spent with Him, preparing and the Word of God, we've held in our minds. We are privileged to be Encouragers and not Consumers. When we read in Romans 12 to not be confirmed to this world, we are then told to be transformed by the renewing of our minds...it's an action that I HAVE TO TAKE...it's not an automatic renewal (wouldn't that be fun?!).
All this being said, I wanted to answer those of you who have been kind to ask how it's going this year. And to thank you again for your continued prayers. I hold each of you in mine and I'm still ever so thankful for this lovely, gracious place and each of you so lovingly abide in it.

  30. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58). And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9). Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:23-24).

(Philippians 1:27). And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:4).

  33. Heavenly Father, thank You for always being with me, even when I may not feel or think that You are there. You are always with Your children. Your promises are true and You are faithful. You will not forsake us or leave us. You are always moving and working in our lives and the lives of others. You make all things good, even when we cannot see it. Your ways are much higher than ours and we cannot even begin to comprehend them. We will trust in You and know that You are the One and Only God Almighty. There is no other God but You. Let Your Spirit rule me. Shine Your love light within me and remove any and all wickedness that is in me and replace it with Your goodness and glory. Let Your goodness, peace, love, and joy permeate within me. Help me to keep You first and foremost in my heart, mind, soul, and spirit. Help me to keep my focus on You and not on the things of this world. Remind me of Your heavenly, loving presence when I am distracted. You are so amazing and wonderful. I trust, love, and adore You Jesus. I praise You Lord always. Thank You Jesus. Thank You for all You are and all You do. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

  35. Second Tuesday in Advent

What would you do if your life long wish for yourself and your wife and your best wish for everyone around you collided and became one?  Might to be expected some explosion of excitement, joy, and gratitude within and without?  Would you sing?  Dance? Or show some other uninhibited expression of joy?

Zechariah and Elizabeth, a very devout couple, had their prayer for a child and their prayer for the nation (for the coming of the Messiah) packaged together in the birth of a son who would be the forerunner to the Messiah.   At this point, Zechariah breaks into song.  (Unfortunately, no one recorded it to put it on YouTube so I don’t have a link for you today.)  His song is known as the Canticle of Zechariah and was preserved by Luke in 1:68-79 of his gospel:

68“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them.
69 He has raised up a mighty savior for us in the house of his servant David,
70 as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
71 that we would be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us.
72 Thus he has shown the mercy promised to our ancestors, and has remembered his holy covenant,
73 the oath that he swore to our ancestor Abraham, to grant us
74 that we, being rescued from the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear,
75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the forgiveness of their sins.
78 By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon[b] us,
79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

So in the excitement of the moment, what burst forth from Zechariah’s heart?  Though he had little hope of ever having a child, the opening verses show that he had never lost faith in God sending the Messiah, a constant prayer of his.  He begins by delineating through verses 69-75 the promises God had made and now were being fulfilled.  Then with his new born son in his arms, he affirmed the divine calling on the boy's life, to let people know that God is merciful and forgiving of sin (76-77).  Assured through all these things, a peaceful ending filled with hope closes out the canticle (78-79).  Such is the structure of Zechariah’s expression of praise and thanks to the LORD to Whom he had devoted his life.    What would your expression of joy sound like?

What words would you use to proclaim God’s goodness?

Historically, this canticle has always been repeated as a part of the litany of morning prayer.  I began the practice many years ago of repeating it immediately after my time of meditation on scripture.  In doing so, these three things become affirmed: God’s faithful to all promises, especially in the moment to any particular one I had just contemplated for the purpose that I may serve the LORD all of my days.

The LORD’s priority is that all may know they are saved which is proclaimed by showing mercy.   As attributed to St Francis of Assisi; ‘show mercy; if necessary, use words.’

All is well and all will be well.  The LORD has all things under control and is going to intervene at any moment for the good of all.

The value of repeating this canticle in morning prayer is to ingrain these three elements into my heart so these things become a part of who I am.  Though repetition can sometimes be tedious, it has great value in molding the soul.  I would encourage you to keep it handy for any personal spiritual exercise with which you begin your day.

    With love, Bob

  43. How to experience uninterrupted awareness of His presence....when He says pray without ceasing I have found it helpful to remember prayer is talking to Him. Too many times in Christendom prayer is a thing you do instead of a person you talk to. i.e. say your prayers, let's have a prayer, etc. Talk to Him all day in everything as if He is really there........because He is!

And life more abundant and free.

    Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace.

His word shall not fail you he promised
Believe him and all will be well
Then go to a world that is dying
    His perfect salvation to tell.

    Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace.

O soul are you weary and troubled
No light in the darkness you see
There's light for a look at the Savior
And life more abundant and free.

    Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace

  45. Hi friends and Payton Family,
    My name is Joe.
I am from Indonesia and now reside in Texas.
I was a first Christian convert in my family, who were Tao.
A year after I was born again my brother became a Christian. He is now a pastor. We started the church from grown up in a city where Christianity is almost unheard of among the populations.
The day I became a Christian, I told my dad, so did my brother. Our dad had always opposed our profession of faith. for a period of time, my brother did not have anywhere to go but sleep in church's seats. Later, one of my sisters became a Christian. After my dad passed away, my mom became a Christian. Then, my mom agreed to hire a bulldozer to take down my dad's temple. When, my dad passed away, I felt in depression because I saw in a vision that my dad was suffering. Then, the Lord's heal me from depression. Reading Jesus is Calling helped me and also, I think Jesus did some miracles in that he put me in the right path and to understands his goodness.
Today, I am in Young Adult ministry. My brothers' church has been growing from just 2-3 people to a point now that the church is full and we began building another church to train missionaries.
The president of the denomination that my brother joined after he started the church heard about my brother and made him a bishop of the region. So, he has been busy ministering to the villages as well.
What can you pray for us?
Pray for my brother's church, that God brings the right leaders and disciples into the ministry. That the leaders are empowered to bring new converts and to disciples new Christians. That in doing so, they will do it joyfully, not burdensome.
Pray for our young adult ministry here in Texas. That people will be passionate about sharing the gospel with their friends and family. Also, pray that the guys I mentor will spend their time with Jesus and is willing to disciple others to follow Jesus.

"Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen." Jude 1:24-25

"When they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God." Acts 14:21-22

Above verses from Acts reminded me of the reason we must continue in the faith even though we go through a faith shattering circumstances.

Thank you so much Payton family.

  46. May God guide you to the right leaders and disciples of the Lord and may He help your church in Texas to flourish to His glory, and may those you mentor grow close to Jesus and feel God's calling to be His followers and teachers. Thank You Father for this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

  47. Oh, Dear JC Family - I'm sorry that I'm so late to the Victory Party, but it took a good part of the day to get there and then I was up to my ears in work, which thankfully, I was able to do b/c I felt SO much better after my follow up appt to the Eye Dr. I slept 9 hours last night but woke up about two and half hours into it with a pounding headache. I sat in bed with my head in my hands wondering what was wrong. I prayed, the though came to me, "2 Tylenol PM," and I went back to bed and prayed and got comfy. My DH woke me up and said, "We have to be at the Dr's in less than an hour, honey." My head still hurt, but not as bad. I honestly think part of it was lack of caffiene. I'm a 2 1/2-3 cup a day gal and I only had 1/2 a cup the day before. Anyway, the Dr. put drops in my eyes, a contact lense and then more drops and I cam home a new woman. DH fixed me a hearty brunch which I ate while working and the rest of the day and night has been great. I'm heading to bed and reading as I usually do before bed and had to report to you. Brie, Janet, - all of you dancers, get your shoes on - I'm SO MUCH BETTER. Thank you, Jeanne for asking about that Victory Report or I probably wouldn't waited until tomorrow.
I know everyone on here reads and prays as I do, whether spoken or not and I thank you all for your love, concern and believing. Hope there aren't too many typos - I have my 'eye shield' on and can only see partially. But, know how much I love you and I'm praying for all (specific prayers for Erica, Brie). WELCOME, Joe - I look forward to reading more about your journey.
    Sleep Sweet, JC Family.

  48. As Maplewood stated in an earlier crossover post...December is a GREAT, special and wonderful month. A month in remembrance of our Savior’s birth, a month when hope and redemption came into the world, a month of jubilation, celebration, a month that will forever be cherished!
To celebrate the 7th day of this celebratory month, I plan to give Jesus "G" gifts of:
GLORIFYING and GAZING on The GOODNESS of GOD with GRATITUDE 🥹
Through all I encounter today, I will fix my GAZE on God and His Kingdom that is unseen in a visible world which parades itself before my physical eyes.
    In Jesus' Name. AMEN!

    2. Amen! I love it too! Brie, You amaze me and make my heart happy! Fixing my Gaze on those things that will never fade away. GIVING GENUINE GLORY TO GOD should be at the top of our list. May today bring much GOOD fruit to offer back to Him in GRATITUDE.
Driving to Brooklyn this morning to take my mom to the Eye doctor. Jesus will be riding with me. Have a blessed Thursday and let your light shine before all for Him who gave you a new day. I hope to be a helpful and a cheerful beacon to my mom and sister. Thank You Jesus. Praying for Norah's DH, NJS's mom, my friends, Mike, and Barry, my mom, and my friend Curtis who just had a knee replacement. My sister's knees hurt so much too. So many more need prayers. Thank You Father for healing, guiding, strengthening and comforting all these people and all those in my JC Family and all those on their prayer lists in the Name of Christ Jesus, our Risen Lord. Amen

      Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

      John 16:23-24
“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

  49. Amen and thank you for that prayer. God is our strength and our salvation and He is so much greater than the enemy. Our God always leads us to Victories. 51. And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come!" And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and He caught him and said to him, "Oh, you of little faith, why did you doubt?" (Matthew 14:27-31).

    1. Just like us in today's devotion, Peter, too, faltered and flickered in his awareness of Jesus' Presence. Peter then experienced the same result we experience, i.e., our life experience becomes fragmented until our refocus becomes broad enough to include JESUS in our thoughts, words and actions. Only then did Peter feel safe and complete, as do we.

    2. Amen Janet and thanks Brie. We all have had times in our lives when we just didn’t receive answers to our prayers. But that is when we must be strong in our faith and believe God’s ways are the right ones and He has His reasons for everything. Focusing on Jesus and giving Him every worry and concern. He is the Author of my life and story. Trusting in the Lord.

  52. In our reading for today I faltered and flickered before completing and had to reread through a second time. Fear had crept in focus had been lost. Hebrews 12:2 was what I needed, fixing my eyes on Jesus the author and perfector of my faith. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know and He knows my name. I love ❤️ You!

  53. Oops. Forgot to add. The 7th day is of GOD... he completed creation and in Him is perfection. Thus, Brie's monthly idea spurred a G day timeline of 7 G's. His GIFT of the Son GAVE us a way to be GLORIFIED. GODSPEED.

  56. After reading "I AM with you in all that you do, even in the most menial task.", the phrase popped into my mind 'Doing The Dishes With Jesus'. I've heard this or read this sometime in the distant past, not sure when or where. An online search brought nothing that seems to fit. But the idea of Doing The Dishes With Jesus can be applied to any task or situation to keep Him in the forefront of our minds.
So today Jesus and I (plus my wife), will be de-cluttering a spare room to make more space.

  58. I gift my Lord on this 7th day the "G" word GOOD. There are times when we need a sign from God. It's not that we don't know He's there. It's simply that
We need a touch from our precious Abba Father. We need to feel His arms around us, and hear Him whisper that everything is going to be alright. King David prayed for this: Psalm 86:17
"Show me a token of GOOD." Some versions say: "Show me a sign of GOOD." So I pray, Father God, show each JC WARRIOR a TOKEN OF GOOD this day! In Jesus's name, AMEN and AMEN.
    Our God, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS
    WINS!!! HALLELUJAH!!!
