Jesus Calling: March 23

I am a God of both intricate detail and overflowing abundance. When you entrust the details of your life to Me, you are surprised by how thoroughly I answer your petitions. I take pleasure in hearing your prayers, so feel free to bring Me all your requests. The more you pray, the more answers you can receive. Best of all, your faith is strengthened as you see how precisely I respond to your specific prayers.
Because I am infinite in all My ways, you need not fear that I will run out of resources. Abundance is at the very heart of who I AM. Come to Me in joyful expectation of receiving all you need--and sometimes much more! I delight in showering blessings on My beloved children. Come to Me with open hands and heart, ready to receive all I have for you.
Psalm 36:7-9
English Standard Version
How precious is your steadfast love, O God!
The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house,
and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light do we see light.

Psalm 132:15
English Standard Version
I will abundantly bless her provisions;
I will satisfy her poor with bread.

John 6:12-13
English Standard Version
And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten.
My Prayer
Lord, it is always good to speak to You. Thank you for always hearing my prayers and that your Holy Spirit guides me in my words. You love is steadfast. You are the fountain of life. You bless me with abundance continually. I place my trust in You.

  7. Thank you for teaching me to look to you during this time. It is absolutely the only thing that makes sense. Help me to bring hope to those that are scared, help me to bring friendship to those that feel alone. Help me to keep my eyes open and heart alert to those in need. Protect us Father and show us how to live. Your power and mercy is beyond our understanding. We ask for help as we rely on your faith and work to build ours.

  8. Good Morning Jesus! I am in a blessed month, a blessed week and blessed day. It doesn’t matter what is going on, I choose to rejoice and thank You for EVERYTHING! You know what is up ahead, my responsibility is to lean NOT on my own understand, but to acknowledge You. How have I made it this far? Only by Your grace, so please strengthen my faith and keep me in a place of rest, in Jesus name I pray.

God’s intricacy in the lives of every human being in the course of history in human events is absolutely unquestionable and unfathomable! When we seek the sound mind of Christ as we study the Bible, God the Holy Spirit enables us to utilize and apply it to our lives so as to give Him glory as His peculiar people. This mystery of God’s intricacy in our lives, taking into consideration, His delicate but very complex, sophisticated intimacy in the details of one’s life in time, place and the history of our existence, is explosive and mind blowing! We say we ‘trust’ God, but have we ever given thought to that statement? The complexity of this life was and is not for us to try and unravel, but it is for us to let God handle those intricately woven details of our lives. We must however trust this very Truth, that God is truly faithful even when we aren’t! His love is what has kept us, yet we fail even to recognize that in the midst of going through something or in the midst of the unknown, as we are now with this (COVID-19). The Lord is waiting on our complete surrender because He is able to keep us from falling, but we must lean and depend on Him. Psalm 92:5 declares: “How great are your works, O Lord! Your plans are very intricate”. Not only are our Father’s plans for us intricate, He is infinite! Meaning, He is ‘exceedingly far above creation and is both greater than creation and independent of it’. He is omniscience (all-knowing), omnipotence (all-powerful) and omnipresence (always present). God has not left us ignorant about Himself, we have the written Word of God, the Bible, and the living Word of God, Jesus Christ. Let’s read it, study it and eat it, because IT’s food to our souls!

Father, we thank You for ushering us into this day and granting us new mercy. We thank You that You know the plans You have for us. We are told, it is good and not evil, You want to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). You have not given us all the details because You trust us, but Your Word tells us:"God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). We open our hands and hearts ready to receive all that You have for us and say Thank You!

This is a new week JC family, lets count our many, many blessings and give God the glory!

Appreciated your use of being God's peculiar people (a unique word used in the King James Version 5 times, I Peter 2:9 is the latest). When used in a worldly context, people usually mean 'weird'. When used by God, He means a people uniquely My own. I think I will listen to God. God be with you.

  11. Oh, Father, I love how you delight in blessing us and showering us with your blessings. I understand this, in even a smaller way, as a parent and grandparent, for I delight in seeing my family blessed.
Protect each of us Father, as we go about our daily lives and tasks. Let me be Your light to those I speak to on the phone. Let me show them how not to be afraid but to still have a healthy respect for our adversary. Not respect in a way of admiration, but a firm knowledge of his capabilities and that Your Spirit is far more capable than his.
Bless each and every one of Your children this day with the knowledge that You have and will continue to provide. Let us not lean on our own understanding but continue to trust You.
You will receive the glory for the healing that takes place in people's lives, for the abundance on their tables and for the health that courses through their veins.
Thank you for hearing our prayers, for delighting in Your children's simple faith and for answering our specific needs. Let us imitate that in the way we treat people and the kindness we show.
Praying for each of you, your families and your needs. To God be the glory.

Many CAN come to work but choose not to because they are AFRAID someone might have it and not say anything because they need to work because they need the money! I am clean by nature but I wear my mask in to and from the building; I clean my area every morning with Clorox wipes and I use hand sanitizer when I am in the breakroom or ladies room before and after! I pray coming in, and I pray going out, and honestly I speak to GOD All day long. I believe HIS promises that he promised to never leave nor forsake his children and if it is my time to go, my final destination gives me so much to look forward to! So to be here and trust HIM or be there an be with HIM, either way I'm GREAT! thank you JC family for allowing me to share my inner thoughts! 2. You got it right, God's daughter. Your affirmation sounds like Paul in his letter to the Philippians 1:21-26 and should be the way all believers see their calling. There have been countless saints who have cared for the sick and dying only to die themselves of the disease the people had for which they cared. It is the way of Christ, self-sacrifice even to the point of death. After all, aren't our years listed and determined before the first of them occurred (Psalm 139:16)? In other words, He will determine our life span not a virus of any kind. While you wait, keep wiping down everything because God is keeping you around to touch the people for whom you work. Both He and they need you to be faithful. God be with you!

In the process of their conversation, she mentioned her TP situation. The person responded by telling her she had just tried to deliver a package of TP to a family hit hard by the tornado a few weeks ago but they have moved. So she gave it to my daughter. 16. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10)

(Matthew 10:34-39) Jesus has filled our heads with so much to think about before we are sent out to proclaim the Good News and He is not quite done. He says to us if we think He has come to make everything nice and cozy, we need to reexamine our thoughts on what the Messiah is sent to do. He goes on to say because of Him there will be division even in the closest of family relationships. For the way of the world is self-indulgence. His way is the way of self-emptying sacrifice. When it is practiced in the presence of people who are looking to self-indulge, there will be division and hostility expressed. Why, because the foolishness of their lives is exposed and their shallowness is brought to light, an experience that will definitely be met with a negative reaction. Immature people do not like to have their toys taken away. To find the fullness of life, we must make Him the first love of our life. Anything less will bring frustration. Our soul cannot be divided for to do so will bring unrest within. If we seek your own happiness, it will never be found. If we seek His glory, we will find the abundance of life we were looking for in the first place. As if our heads were not full enough, He has us really thinking now because He is cutting against the grain of every principle of the world we had ingrained in us from childhood. Maybe, that is our problem, we have learned the wrong values from this world around us. His words are cutting like a knife through everything we had embraced in life. Indeed, His words are causing division. Though He did not say it specifically here, the division starts within each of us.

The circumstances in the world at the present time have cut like a knife through so many things I turned to for pleasure. For the time being I cannot have them. But when the time comes that the virus is defeated by the grace of God and things can return to "normal", will I go back to the way things were or will I come out of this with a much greater perspective on what is the abundant life Jesus came to offer me. His point of cutting off all my pleasures is that my heart will be fully oriented toward Him for what He has chosen for me to be. This season of living in a spiritual desert (absence of things) is to bring me to Himself. After a removal of all the frivolous things in my life, He says to me (Hosea 2:14), "I will now allure you and bring you into the desert, and speak tenderly to you." Am I listening to His loving words whispered in my ears? Does anyone hear what He is saying in this desert we find ourselves?

Lord, open my ears so I may hear what You are saying and if any of my sisters and brothers are in a similar place, may their ears be opened as well. Amen

    3. I agree dear Bob, We will find him in the the desert. We have been isolated and need Him more than ever. In that need, He is closer to us. We must make sure that He is reigning in our hearts. Get those priorities right. I have to make a conscious effort and sometimes I just say "Jesus" and then everything falls into place. If He is in the Center, everything comes together. To find the fullness of life, we must make Him the first love of our life.
Father, Thank You for opening my ears to your words today and for reminding me to stay in Your presence. Open my family's ears to hear to you and soften their hearts to seek you and receive your truth and your blessings with gratitude and praise. Amen

  19. Continuing my walk through the Passion of Jesus with stops at all the critical points. Being that there are 10 stops in which my devotional is leading me, I have started the process a week early. May it bring blessing to you during Holy Week next week and all the observances of which you are a part.

Foot Washing: Sort of a revisit for I was led here last week to see something different (posted 3/18). John alone provides this story for us. He takes us to the beginning of the end (starting with chapter 13) in the upper room where Jesus has gathered with His disciples to observe the Passover as was His custom. The whole scene begins with Jesus choosing to take the role of a servant and wash the disciples feet. Today, I sat with that thought, Jesus choosing to be a servant. A servant/slave has no life of his/her own. That person has been bought or sold out to that role in life. That person solely lives to do the will of the master. Jesus chose this role, to have no life of His own but to solely do the will of His Master whom He knew as His Heavenly Father. He chose the perfect way of life which had eternal ramifications to all who would receive the blessings of His devotion. He chose, He did have a say in the matter contrary to a servant/slave in the culture of the day. He chose. And why? Because He was driven by love, love of His Father whose will it was for me to follow the path He walked, and love for you and me for in being faithful, He brought us back home to the arms of the Father. This is why He chose and His love was so great He could do no less. He chose to love and that is the path of God in which all are blessed. He chose to have no life of His own but to solely live for the Father's glory.

As I sat with this thought today, the Spirit reminded me of the day I made a similar decision in college. I had my own personal ambitions as I sat that day in church. The minister was preaching on giving one's life to God and letting God set the direction. I thought to myself, 'My ambitions for my life may or may not come to be on my own for I cannot guarantee them by my own efforts. But if my ambitions are of God, then God will bring them about. But if God has other ideas for my life, how can I go wrong if I let God have the way God has willed for me.' With that, I listened to the Holy Spirit within me and gave my life to be His servant. Fifty years later, all I can say was how blessed I have been in being led to choose to serve the Lord God Almighty. Though I have not been perfect in the process, God has been and my life has been nothing but good as He has led the way. It is good to be a servant of our Heavenly Father. I have no regrets in doing so and will forever be thankful.

God be with you. With love, Bob

  36. Dear JC Warriors, please continue prayers for my friend Sandi in Texas. She called me today to say this is day 10 in the hospital. She has had a tube in her nose for 3 days. The first time they tried to insert the tube, they weren't gentle and hurt her. She was told they would have to sedate her if she didn't let them put the tube in her nose. Another gentler, kinder staff member easily inserted the tube without a problem. PTL the tube was removed later this evening. She may get to go home tomorrow. Sandi is very grateful for your prayers and sends a big thanks. Incidentally she mentioned the tube was successfully inserted shortly after she received all your prayers. WE SERVE A GREAT GOD WHO SHOWERS HIS CHILDREN WITH MUCH LOVE. AMEN AND HALLELUJAH!!!

  37. Today's JC: "Come to Me in joyful expectation of receiving all you need--and sometimes much more! I delight in showering blessings on My beloved children. Come to Me with open hands and heart, ready to receive all I have for you."

Reading all of the awesome prayers and encouragement for last year's stem cell transplant, it is hard to believe a year has passed. Today's words were so on point. We arrived early at Emory, and I impatiently waited... feeling good about the probable results being positive, but preparing myself for possible setbacks as cancer can be unpredictable.

The blessing of the day was hearing "stringent complete remission" from the Dr., and all chromosonal analysis was negative for myeloma markers. I asked if that meant we could reduce the chemo amounts and strategy. The answer was to stay the course, so. I have at least 2 more years of weekly IV chemo, and thus some limitations will remain. But the best words were, "see ya in a year!"

An incredible answered prayer and blessing. Thank you prayer warriors, I will now focus on how to share Christ in not only the infusion center but in a professional capacity as well. Thank you, thank you. in Him, Amen!

    7. We come with open hands because we are needy (dependent). Open hands can also be used for thanksgiving and to give praise even while they are empty.

I'm grateful for His love that "infuses" His character into ours, thus creating the person we are through that unity in Him.

Chemo is not an easy road as it differs from person to person. But my dad lived 4 years after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer because of his chemo treatments. That is almost unheard of and is a testimony of the Lord supply needs even through what is not always a pleasant process.

  38. " I am a God of both intricate detail and overflowing abundance."
Some years back Ford Motor Company asked me to go to Turkey to lead a team of young engineers. They were tasked with producing an automobile for the Near/Middle East only and not experienced enough to do this. The New Projects Director insisted they be sent a senior 'expert' to lead them.
My first reaction was 'Lord, what do You say?' He said "Yes, go"
On the commute home, I said 'Lord, what do I say to Karen?' Quick as a flash He replied "Ask her to come with you!" I did, her reaction was 'YES!' (despite previous reservations on vacationing in an Islamic county).
I had seven requirements that I needed to be met.
Each one was met in "minute detail", including my demands that FMC pay for my wife to come with me, that we would not live in a hotel but FMC would rent us a home, that if for family reasons she/we need to fly home, FMC will fund all travel, all expenses etc etc.
I experienced God's understanding of design principles ( hey, He's the Creator after all), and giving perfect solutions to difficult problems.
We experienced "overflowing abundance" in every respect. God is soo good!
Karen took a walk most mornings around our neighborhood, met local housewives, invited them home for refreshments and to Google translate English for them. All very friendly, soon she was witnessing the Love of God through Isa to them.
I spent most of my lunchtimes similarly answering questions ( usually one on one basis) on Christianity, so many hungry souls disillusioned by Islam, seeking the Heart of God. Mehmet kept coming back, keenly interest. An incredible think happened. He flew to his folks home one weekend and found a Bible on their coffee table! ( you'd be hard pressed to find one anywhere). A neighbor had given it to his folks. He asked me 'what do I do about this?' I said read the words of Isa He will lead you in all Truth.

God's higher purpose unknown to us beforehand, was for us to give the Water of Life and Bread of Life to all who asked us for a reason of the Hope within us.
It's never just about the things of this world.

I gotta stop now otherwise I'll be writing a book!
Lifting all JC Blog folk and your prayers up to the Throne of Grace.

  44. I am praying for your Brother-in-Love, dear Jeanne and the ablation that will put his heart in rhythm. A friend of mine's son had this done last week and by that evening, was feeling stronger, healthier and more energized than he had in all the weeks before. It reminded me of a friend who had that done over 20 years ago (the first I'd heard of it) and the newness she felt when it was over.
"Abundance is at the very heart of who I AM. Come to Me in joyful expectation of receiving all you need--and sometimes much more!" Our prayers are never answered in a skimpy fashion, but with the Abundance of our loving Father Who wants more for us than we sometimes even know to ask. He certainly didn't skimp on our redemption when He gave His only begotten Son and our Savior fulfilled every Promise by obeying His Father. What a miracle and joy to receive and share with others.
Though the skies are still gray today, the temperatures are rising and the little birds are singing. I will rejoice in all God's blessed me and my loved ones with thanksgiving and anticipation of hearing the miracles provided today.
Praying for all of you and that we are putting on our Happy Dancing shoes when we hear results...for your husband, Jan, for you and your daughter, Rich (& as Jeanne said, protection for your loving, caring wife), for new beginnings, Free As Can B and all of our cares and concerns being met by the Promise to answer us more abundantly than we can ask or think.

  50. Thanks for all your prayers. We were in the ER from Thursday morning with my mom to a quarter to 4 on Friday-yesterday. After many tests and visits from two doctors, no one really knows the reasons my mom was unresponsive and displaying seizure like symptoms. She couldn’t talk and just wanted to die. In the hospital she went through such bad nicotine withdrawal that she pretty much turned into angry pit bull and said nasty things to us the whole time. But Janet and I kept reminding her she was still in the presence of the Lord and wasn’t walking in the spirit. She just wanted a cigarette. She drove everyone in the ER crazy with her complaining. She was finally released in the late afternoon and they were thrilled she was leaving. She had her cigarettes outside and we went home. We all needed sleep so we all went to bed. I thanked God for His amazing healing and faithfulness Of course today my mom didn’t remember her convulsions or how she treated everyone yesterday. I forgave her for the mean things she said to me. We all prayed together in gratitude for bringing her back to us.
Thank You Father for your amazing mercy, healing power and faithfulness. You have been so faithful and I’m good to us! Amen

    Psalm 103:2-5
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
