Jesus Calling: March 26

   Waiting on Me means directing your attention to Me in hopeful anticipation of what I will do. It entails trusting Me with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure things out yourself. Waiting on Me is the way I designed you to live: all day, every day. I created you to stay conscious of Me as you go about your daily duties.
    I have promised many blessings to those who wait on Me: renewed strength, living above one's circumstances, resurgence of hope, awareness of My continual Presence. Waiting on Me enables you to glorify Me by living in deep dependence on Me, ready to do My will. It also helps you to enjoy Me; in My Presence is fullness of Joy.

My Prayer
Waiting Lord is not something that I automatically do. It is a trial often to wait in this culture that tells me I can have anything I want now. I am so impatient Lord. I notice in life how entertainment, comfort, peace, safety are expectations and often mandatory parts of each day for me, that I am trained daily to never have to wait. Teach me Lord to wait on You for Your timing. And waiting can be a good thing. I want to trust in Your timing. I want to rest in the fact that your timing is perfect. Forgive me for always thinking that my way is the best way. Help me Lord! Help me Lord to wait!

  1. Since My awaking day 1.18.18, and after losing 7 years of my life. I am now seeing a clearer picture. Growing up I went to church every Sunday. I went to summer Church camps. I was baptized at age 16 and I also rededicated my life in 12/2004. I was an active church goer. However I didn’t fully live a life of right. However since 1.18.18 my whole life / being has changed. It’s been good and bad. Areas of this life that never were issues for me are now issues. I have wholeheartedly learned to be thankful for the bad and the good. I’ve also realize that this life and the path I’m on is not of my control, sure I make decisions and choices. I realize that if it’s Gods will and if I pray about all things and live an obedient life. It’s all for the better. ⚓️❤️

    2. I bought the book. But its been loved so much it's missing pages& I have it all taped together. Its almost like with all the reading I've been doing. The meek,sick,weak,faint of heart that's where you'll find him. Like the story of the banquet. I'm blessed I pray I'm chosen.

  2. Thank you for putting these up. My grandmother bought that whole side of the family these books in remembrance of my grandfather when he passed. It sat on a shelf for about a year and when it was time for me to come back to the Lord I picked it up and of course the message for that day was just what I needed at that time. Since then I have purchased several copies for other family members and friends. But occasionally when I travel I may forget to bring my copy along and it is great to be able to look them up.

  3. I am always trying to figure everything out. I believed that if I sat and thought about everything and figured it out I could avoid any mishaps, pain, misunderstandings. But it never has work that way. To me that just meant I needed to try harder... Just stay a few steps ahead of God and I can make everything right. But it is never worked out that way. I'm trying to learn how to wait and anticipate what God is going to do.

    1. I can so relate to your comments! I have always tried to "fix" a situation. Think it through. jump through the hoops, all of them.--for resolution. Some situations were not in my control, it was not Gods will. I would try and "force a resolution" and I would end up battered and bruised and no further for it!! No calm, no resolution, no understanding. It ALL came in time. It all came on Gods time. Resolution, understanding, patience, faith, trust....Amen.

    6. Proverbs 3:5-6 is so easy to quote but so hard to live. I too have spent way too much time trying to figue everything out rather that taking it FIRST to God and waiting on Him. My prayer of late has been "Lord, teach me to think less and pray more." Then my thinking can align with him and not be in my own undertanding. AMP says "5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
      6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths."

  4. There is peace in knowing that God has the answers. I am now experiencing that moment when I've done everything I know to do and now I wait...it is a blessing to read Isaiah 41:3 and be guaranteed that doing that will bring great results.

    3. God has all the answers, teach us to wait on you Lord ! We think we are in control when we have wealth , health and strength, but You Father are in complete control. I have been homeschooling two wonderful children and now the mum wouldn't pay me ! She is not picking up my calls or responding to messages. I have brought the issue to the cross.God knows we need rent and food . May God be glorified

  5. Trusting with every fiber of my being is an interesting concept for me that is far deeper than just reading it over and over again. I 100% want to trust God with every fiber of my being but trust is something or me that is built not gifted. If someone asks me if I trust God my initial answer is yes but as I read this this morning and meditated on it I realized that I don't trust him consistently and that trust is something that is being built brick-by-brick to build the foundation of my life in him. So Lord thank you for being the one that I want to trust with every fiber of my being and I know you've done your part. Please help and give me strength in my weakness to do my part. I love you Lord!

    When things don’t turn out as I was hoping they would, I try to remember that God knows the desires of my heart and His plans are to prosper me, not to harm me. It makes it easier to wait.

  7. Waiting. A word in today's world that is viewed as unnecessary. Today, He promises to give you what is needed to make it through the trials encountered TODAY. The challenge is that by giving us intelligence and free will, we can worry about future potential outcomes. But what God has promised is peace if we turn it all over to Him by praying and being conscious of Him throughout our day.

    Father, the world is a hectic and seemingly defying your Love of all. Your children lament their lack of abundance and yet try to accumulate without including You. Father, I pray that You will help me to wait on You and to hold the hand of others who are impatient as well. Today, I will wait and be blessed in doing so. Amen.

      Isaiah 40:31 is one of my “go to’s” It saved me after I had arthroscopy surgery on my knee a long time ago. I also have always loved Psalm 16:11. Pondering about the FULLNESS of JOY. only found in His presence. How blessed we are.

  8. Sometimes it's almost hilarious how the Jesus Calling devotion matches my current struggle. Yesterday "waiting" was a key word in my prayers because I've been made to wait lately. Waiting and patience aren't among my high points. And, I prayed about it all day. And, this morning, there is my answer and inspiration, in today's devotion. Perfect.

    Thank you Jesus for communicating with me and giving all I need to sustain me in this day. Tomorrow will be there when it comes. Today is my only concern an I will wait in anticipation of all the things you will present me in this day.

    I just came by this morning to once again say how lifted I am to see so many people coming to share their love and need of Jesus. How cool is it to have perfect strangers inspiring each other, sharing their struggles, giving us the knowledge that we are not alone in our own struggles. It just fills me up and starts my day right! Thanks to you all!

    As we begin to learn how to live a more full, "present moment" type life, striving to serve others first we will become vessels for Christ that others might see his face in our actions and character. Through this journey of striving, we will be strengthened ourselves.

    I just love reading these posts and love the idea of so many people seeking the same thing as me. Christ is already working through each of us. Amazing, huh? Just perfect!

  11. So glad you have made this daily devotional available online and for free. I don’t have to bring the hard copy when I pack up for vacation. You know how airline nes policies are regarding luggage! Only Southwest is generous in this regard. I LOVE Jesus Calling. Among all the many devotional I have, I consider this particular Sarah Young devotional the best. It makes Christianity so simple and personal; not churchy. I have the rest of Sarah’s succeeding devotionals, but I find this first one the most anointed, written under God’s unction. I first discovered it as a $5 bargain at Family Christian Bookstore. No one has heard of it. I bought a few copies to give away. I fell in love with it, and bought more to give away. That was perhaps 2 decades ago by now. So glad it has sold 20 million copies by now. Even Catholics and the unchurched love it! Thank you, Sarah, for being obedient to the Lord and His call on your last life. Your life testimony is inspiring!

  12. It is amazing how all of the comments from 2018 & 2019 are STILL relevant in 2020! I am preparing to go to a celebration of life for my father-in-love who didn't treat me like an in-law. He was 83, and a good guy. During this waiting period to lay him to rest, I am learning no matter what, GOD is still in control! WE are unable to have a funeral but are allowed a small graveside gathering. This pandemic is moving me closer to GOD more and more because I realize, waiting is all I can do until GOD steps in and makes a move! I have been blessed from all the comments and agree this site is a true blessing from GOD! Please keep our family in your prayers, as we will pray for yours!

    6. Amen, God's daughter! This Pandemic has brought so many back to God and strengthened their faith. We who stand on the Rock, the Cornerstone, are not allowing ourselves to be enveloped in fear. Instead, this is when we realize our faith is being tested. We must Wait on the Lord, with long suffering, gratitude and hope. He has never left us and never will. He knows our fears and our tired hearts. We pray because we know God is so faithful in his own timing. This tragedy is turning people's hearts towards their Maker. They know they need Him more than ever. I believe after this passes, and I know it will, we will be united in our faith, and our love for each other will be more powerful. What a joyful day when we will finally be able to hug each other safely, and help those in need and those who mourn for their loved ones.   13. Loving Father, Thank You for another day. Awaken my spirit and cause me to always desire the future You have for me. Please keep me from making foolish shortcuts. Though I thought I’d be in a far better place in my life at this time, I'm still grateful to You for where I am and thank You for the many blessings in my life. I know You are wise and good and I trust that you are working something far more wonderful than I ever imagine. Please grant me the patience and strength of Joseph to wait patiently for Your perfect timing. I thank You and ask this in Jesus’ name.

    Waiting at times can become excruciating, but the reward from God is indescribable. What we should desire, is wanting God to help us want the future that only He can provide for us, a future that He has written in all His inscrutable wisdom! We should desire for God to tell us that our salvation is NOT speed or compromise, but in RETURNING and REST. We should ask for our strength to be in quietness and trust, instead of fantasies. We tend to daydream about a fancier life instead of thanking God for the one we have. We should look at the book of Isaiah 40:31 and say: Lord, I wait for You to answer my prayers, deliver me, save Your people, provide for my needs, renew my strength, but most importantly reveal Your glory, to do what only You can do! God can accomplish what we can’t. Therefore, we should wait on Him because we are helpless without Him!
    We are in the season of Lent (Bob, thanks for your insights every day on this), Easter is around the corner, the Holiest of all seasons for Christians, but here we are, fearing on what we have NO control over. Let’s glorify God and live in deep dependence on Him and enjoy Him, because in His Presence is fullness of joy!

    Dear Heavenly Father, When it is all said and done, teach us to wait for a new world, where righteousness will bursts through air and sky as declared in 2 Peter 3:13. Teach us to wait for a new body that will finally delivered us from death and decay as declared in Romans 8:23. Most of all, remind us that we are waiting for our King, Jesus Christ and that underneath all of our waiting in this world, we have hope that will not disappoint. Our King will soon come and those who wait for Him will not be put to shame (Psalm 25:3). No matter how mundane, and no matter how far off from the world of our dreams, today is the day that the Lord has made. It is a gift He has given us, so even as we wait, let’s rejoice and be glad in today!

  17. Blessing and prayers for you, God's daughter. What a blessing to have a Father-in-love like yours! Praying that your small gathering has an abundance of love.
    Praying for everyone and also amazed at the pertinence of today's devotion resonates in 2020. I do find myself waiting "in hopeful anticipation," of how He will deliver us from this current-day pandemic. I know He has the solution. It has been a moment-by-moment walk with my Lord as I decide whether or not I really need to go out or stay home; call someone or see them face-to-face; handle calls from concerned citizens and keep my voice cheerful when they are full of dread. Each case is different and it is only by His grace that I know how to handle each concern.
    Continued prayers for all of you and your loved ones. Mine are seeing deliverance in various areas of their lives (my daughter finally got approval to work remotely AND be paid). My sister-in-love convinced us all that she just had a bad day and night on Tues/Wed and that she is fine not having 24/hr a day caregivers. We continue to pray for her. One dear friend welcomed a new grandson into the world and another had a Facetime Birthday celebration. People adjust and my heart goes out to those who are alone and feel so isolated. Lord, let them know that they aren't alone. You are closer than their very breath. Let that companionship grow and become very real to them.

  18. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10)

    (Matthew 11:1-6) With His instruction to us completed, Jesus says it is now time to get back to the purpose for which He is sent. He gets up and starts heading down the road to the next town. It is decision time for all of us. We have just listened to Him describe all that we will encounter in being His witnesses; hardship, persecution, rejection, acceptance, healing, wholeness, gratitude. To a man, we all get up and follow after Him. How could we not? As Peter would declare, "Only You have spoken to us of true and abundant life." We don't get too far down the road when some of John's (the one who baptized Jesus) come up to us. They tell us John has been imprisoned for some time by Herod. He asked us to ask You, "Are You really the Messiah or should we expect another?" Jesus shows no disdain at the question. He simply points their attention to the things that He is doing; the blind are gaining sight, lame are walking again, lepers are being cleansed, deaf hear, the dead are being raised and the poor are being lifted up from their poverty. In other words, see the love that is being shown. Where there is faith in Him, blessings are abounding. Let John know these things for these are the evidence that God has sent the Messiah just as foretold by the prophets. Tell John to take heart in the misery of his present circumstances. God is moving and his life of faith has not been in vain.

    After a life of faithfully serving God, John finds himself imprisoned for speaking the truth in love to Herod on God's behalf. Certainly that is something that would make any of us wobble in our faith as apparently it had for John. As I contemplated that this morning while outside in my quiet time, I looked around and saw the beauty of creation, the trees of green, red roses too, skies of blue, white clouds passing by, the love of my wife and children and of my many friends. My gaze came to rest on the cross and the ultimate act of love of God to save us all. Yes, it is as Louie Armstrong sang "What a Wonderful World", and it is all about the love of God for each of us. The story of coronavirus in our midst is so small to the greater story being played out in the love of God. Though it may imprison us in various ways, Jesus IS the Messiah and there is much evidence of that truth. Let us see all the good and be steadied in our faith. If you think He is good at what He is doing now, "you ain't seen nothing yet".

    1. We are so grateful and blessed to have met new neighbors that live around the corner! Our fridge water went out a couple nights ago and I asked if they might have any extra purified water to share, maybe a gallon or a few bottles! We would have appreciated any! Praise God! They showed up with 4 cases of 49 bottles! This is God in Action! Thank y’all so much for sharing! We are so incredibly grateful! Prayers for All!

    2. We live in a impatient culture and while we guarded the front door from allowing its evils in, we left the back door open and impatience has slipped in unnoticed. What lessons are we learning during these times? We must come out of these times standing on higher ground to His glory. Today's reading is a guide for that to happen.   23. THE ARREST

    All the disciples feet have been washed in a most loving fashion. The Passover has been celebrated filled with love one for another. Jesus has retreated to a favorite place of His to commune with His Father. His spirit has been renewed in His time with the Father. Now, all ‘hell’ breaks lose in one final effort to destroy the plan of salvation.

    The first sin to be experienced is betrayal by someone dearly loved. Jesus knew who would betray Him. Did He guard His heart to reduce the pain in Judas’ kiss of friendship? Did He give Judas any less attention than He gave the others? Did He wash Judas’ feet any less lovingly? When He offered Judas the bread with the sweet haroseth upon it, was it a hollow gesture much as Judas’ kiss would be? Personally, I think not; for someone who shows unconditional love cannot guard their heart for then the love is no longer unconditional. It is hard to imagine from our human perspective how Jesus could love Judas unconditionally but our God does not love like sinful humanity loves. Our God loves fully and completely every child of His without exception and I am glad He does for I have given God plenty of reason to love me less but God is incapable of doing so. I guess God does have limitations in that God cannot love less.

    So, then, how did it feel to be betrayed with a hollow gesture of love by Judas who was loved as much as the others? In light of the above, it had to have cut deeply into His heart. Jesus was on the verge of suffering an unbelievable amount of physical pain at the hands of those in power, how did the pain of betrayal compare? Those of you who have suffered betrayal would know that the suffering of a heart broken by betrayal is worse; for a physical wound has pain for a short time and then the wound heals but a broken heart can last a lifetime. That was the pain Jesus felt in Judas’ betrayal, the first sin He felt in His Passion that was starting to unfold.

    If you have been betrayed in your life by someone you have given yourself to, know that Jesus felt and feels your pain. God be with you. With love, Bob.

    2. It was extremely difficult to forgive and let go of the anger, pain and hurt of being betrayed by a friend. I would call them "my Judas". It felt like swallowing the biggest pill of pride. But I feel better after being able to set it free from me. It took a very heavy weight off me. Thank You Jesus.

    4. LOL!Even Christ Jesus was hurt and disappointed that the very people He loved and cared for, turned against Him. But He endured because He came about His Father's business, He endured because He is Love, He endured to redeem and set us free, He endured because it was His Father's will for Him to be the Sacrificial Lamb. It wasn't a pleasant experience, no it wasn't, but it had to have happened for us to have a place in His Father's Kingdom. Jesus' pain, hurt and suffering can't be compare to what we experience from people we love, but He sure is the only one who understands how it feels, why we feel the way we do and without condemnation, He loves us nevertheless and instructs us to forgive, and keep our eyes fixed on Him. When expressing those pain and hurt, let it not be considered sign of weakness, unforgiveness, or validation, but rather testimonies of endurance.
      As Brie rightfully puts it, "It's like a thorn in my side that keeps me thankfully humble."
      Thank God for JESUS that He understands, loves us and wants us to forgive as He forgave. He did it on the cross for us, and that's a blessed assurance that we too can and must forgive.

    5. So, here's my question, Bob, what if you've been the betrayer as well as the betrayed? Having been both, yet forgiven for being the betrayer, I still STRUGGLE daily with guilt of something 26 years ago. I've been forgiven yet won't let myself accept forgiveness. While I say often, "Lord, I thank you that your mercies are greater/bigger than my mistakes" I can't get it to sink in and move past it. While I've been betrayed, it's been easier, if you will, to forgive those betrayals than allowing me to feel forgiveness for this 26 year old mistake. Does that make sense to anyone? As much scripture as I recite to move forward and not behind, the shame and guilt creep in. Any guidance and help to forgive myself is appreciated. While I'm embarrassed to share, I feel safe in this JC family.

    9. Wow! Really powerful responses to Bob’s wonderful teaching today. The person who was hardest to forgive for me was a doctor who did my knee surgery a long time ago. I have been a runner since I was 22 and started running marathons when I was 40. Running was so important to me and then I tore my meniscus and after the surgery there was something wrong with my leg. I couldn’t even play my guitar because I couldn’t stand the weight of it on my leg. My MRI plainly said I had a necrotic lesion on my weight bearing patella but my doctor said it had to be a mistake since I was young and healthy. So he ordered weight bearing therapy. After I followed his instructions I could hardly walk and my leg was so messed up many doctors said I would never run again. But I just kept trusting in the Lord and now I am still running maybe just 1-3 miles but without any pain in my knees. God was so faithful. It took me 3 years to get better from what that doctor did to me and it took me 6 years to forgive him in my heart. We must forgive because He forgives us.

  25. I love the constant reminder that God gives us to trust Him . He knows how we are , we trust in the vaccine, money , spouses or jobs etc. He wants to be the focus of our attention every since time. When we do that all things will fall into place .I am reminded of when Peter was walking on water while he kept his eyes on Jesus and as soon as he lost his focus he began to sink and Jesus reached out and grabbed Him! Thank God we have a saviour who constantly reaches out to us ! We are not alone , Jesus wants to show us amazing things .....help Lord to focus on you !

It amazes me, pre and post covid, how trusting and patient we are as passengers on trains, cruiseships, airplanes, taxis, uber's, etc. with people we don't know, oftentimes, can't see, and may never see again, yet we trust them enough to ride behind them, let them control the wheel and the way, trust them to get us where we are going, yet, we struggle to trust Jesus ???     In human reality, no one wants to wait for anything, certainly not during hardships. However, we are wise when we seek, trust, pray and wait on the Lord who can do all things, provide all needs and make the impossible possible.

    Loving Father, as King David so beautifully illustrated the meaning of waiting on You through the book of Psalms and greatly expressed authentic faith and courageous trust in You, may we do likewise and wait for the God of our Salvation in seeking, trusting You and praying. As we wait on You, we are establishing our faith which grants us serenity and stability. As we praise and worship You, we also find safety and security in Your dwelling place. We must wait on You because waiting involves the confident expectation of the positive result in which we place our hope. We must also be confident of who You are and what You are capable of doing. Waiting on You may seem like enduring the passage of time, but it is so much more than that. Those who wait on You will not lose heart in their prayers, because You are their Light, Salvation and Stronghold (Psalm 27). Those who wait on You do so, focused, in anticipation, expectation, and have confident hope in something that will eventually take place. Please grant us the knowledge and trust to wait on You and not grow weary, but know and trust in Your Principles, Promises, Purposes and Power (the four important Ps). Thank You Lord for Jesus who endured so much more than we could ever bear.
    I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31).

    “But as for me, I will look expectantly for the LORD and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.” Micah 7:7.

  34. Back in 2019, I posted here in desperation. I was lost in despair from alcoholism and too scared to seek help. So many of you lifted me up with your prayers and words of encouragement. You helped me find the courage to surrender and get help. My life is very different today. I'm sober about a year and a half and my life is better than I imagined it could be. I still face challenges like everyone does but, I trust in God and know that no matter what happens everything will be okay. I just wanted to post a hello and say thanks to all the Prayer Warriors.     Very appropriate for this day. Today is my oldest son Bryan's 40th Birthday. He's in California and I'm in NY. But we had a wonderful Facetime together. His beautiful wife Allie is having their first child on May 15th or whenever God brings our first granddaughter into this world. Can't wait!
    God gave me a miracle today. Went to the St Patrick's day parade with my best friend Loretta. She just lost her Mom last week so we went and it cheered her up. Afterwards I went to the Post Office to ship a gift to Allie for her virtual shower next week. Then I figured I'd do the grocery shopping but when I got to the store my credit card wasn't in my pocket. Immediately I started praying. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean NOT unto your own understanding. I went out of the store leaving my cart with my groceries believing I would be right back because I knew I would find it. I trusted in God's faithfulness.
    I looked at the ground and didn't see it. It wasn't in my car. So I drove back to the the parking lot near the Post office and walked back there looking at the ground but didn't see it and the man at the Post office hadn't found it. I said to God, I will not worry, it will be alright. I went back to the store. Got out of the car. And I heard in my mind. "Why are you so unhappy? I responded: Because I lost my credit card". I heard a voice say "Everything is alright". At that second, I looked down and there it was-right in the middle of the lot, plain as day. I said THANK YOU JESUS! Grabbed it and called my husband to tell him that Jesus found it. He said: You found it. I said No, Jesus did and He held it for me right until I looked at it. Someday my Husband will understand. Praise the Lord from Whom All Blessings Flow!

  46. It is hard to believe, my fellow JC Prayer Warriors, that it has been exactly 2 years since my autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT), where "new life" was infused! In reality, it is my new birthday as all life sustaining blood cells were killed by the high dose chemotherapy. In light of the lenten season, the symbolism of my "new life" beginning with the literal "blood that was shed for me" is amazing.

    Your constant support and powerful prayers have been cherished. Unfortunately, side effects do persist, and this week I've been sick due to the "curing meds." I accept that these challenges are far easier than most and I'm blessed to be in a deep remission by God's right hand extended though the hands of the super warriors who form Team MadFox! In Him, your grateful brother in Christ.

    2. Dear brother! I am joining in all prayers of thanksgiving that you are in deep remission although you are suffering from some of the side effects. God is holding you tight through these life giving treatments. You are always in my prayers and I understand a little of what you are going through although I am not feeling the bad effects from my meds because I was infused with an antibody drug. But I am grateful with you for all the prayers and support of our dear JC Family. I’m continuing to trust in God’s promises for us and I believe He is healing both of us from the inside out in His good timing. Thank You Jesus. 🙏

  47. I need to remember that needs are met, prayers are answered according to God's timetable. I see the need NOW. He answered my prayer the moment I prayed. The answer to my prayer has been sent, but I have yet to receive it. Each day I live is one days walk closer to receiving what I prayed for.
    Maybe something like gifts we place around the Christmas tree?The gift is thought about (could be months in advance), purchased ( maybe weeks ahead), wrapped, labelled then placed at the base of the tree awaiting Christmas Day. On Christmas Day we remove the wrapping and receive the gift.
    It's in His time; it's worth the wait: Psalms 27:14 - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

    "If you follow the news, you see catastrophic events taking place worldwide. The world seems to be out of control and that nature is groaning in anticipation of its final redemption. I recognize that the world is under the sovereign control of and view it with a godly perspective, remembering the hope of heaven we have in Christ Jesus and saying with Paul, "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21).

    "I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth" (Job 19:25).

    Father, help me to have a godly perspective of the events that I hear about in the news and that I see happening around me. Help me to remember that no matter what happens, You are in control. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

    My husband's favorite expression "GOD IS IN CONTROL AND YOU JUST CANT BEAT IT."

  53. Reading my post last year filled me with strength and encouraged my weary heart. His Word is a lamp on my feet and a light on my path. I couldn't get through one day without it. Waiting on the Lord and giving Him every care and burden I am holding. He promises to make our load lighter. We serve Him better when we can put our worries on His shoulders to handle. He sure can handle them better than we can. Praying for Norah's DH and Brie's comfort and Audra, and my Bible group member and sister in Christ, Pat's husband just fell and fractured his collarbone and my mom who is not quite herself but she's getting there. My list is so long but I know God knows who needs healing and I'm giving it all to Him. Waiting on the Lord and trusting in His Word. As today's devotion says: "I have promised many blessings to those who wait on Me: renewed strength, living above one's circumstances, resurgence of hope, awareness of My continual Presence".
    Thank You Jesus for reminding me to stay in Your Presence today and guide me to do those things that please you.

  54. Thanks for keeping my mom Matilda in your prayers. As you know she was just in the hospital for a seizure. She's getting an EEG today to find out why it happened. Praying God will enlighten the doctor as to the reason so it will not happen again. Thank You Jesus.

  59. Dear friends, thank you for your prayer for my mom, who is 100. Her infection responded to the antibiotics, so she is well, and back to being her joyful self. My week with my daughter and grand kids has been so fun and joyful in celebrating her clean scans…and just loving life. Thanks so much and I say a prayer of thanksgiving for this group and Sarah and the Payton family. It has helped me so much.
