Relax in My everlasting arms. Your weakness is an opportunity to grow strong in awareness of My Almighty Presence. When your energy fails you, do not look inward and lament the lack you find there. Look to Me and My sufficiency; rejoice in My radiant riches that are abundantly available to help you.
Go gently through this day, leaning on Me and enjoying My Presence. Thank Me for your neediness, which is building trust-bonds between us. If you look back on your journey thus far, you can see that days of extreme weakness have been some of your most precious times. Memories of these days are richly interwoven with golden strands of My intimate Presence.
Deuteronomy 33:27

Psalm 27 is one of my favorites. This was exactly what I needed this morning. God is great.
ReplyDeleteLove PS 27 too! Great reminder to start the day ♥️🙏
DeleteHeavenly Father, I ask that you enter my heart, my body, soul, mind and especially my will today. Thank you for being my one true Father who never disappoints and ask that I turn my will over to you and allow You to Father me. I need you as my Father and cannot truly live life without your presence. I thank you for all that you do for me and all the riches you give me throughout the day. I also thank you for the disruptions in my life that many times I do not understand at the moment but many times look back and realize it was what was best for me and was Your true love in Fathering me.
ReplyDeleteLove your prayers. Thanks for adding these.
DeleteLord almighty I am learning that the worst suffering of all would be separation from you. Thank you for always protecting me from this fate worse than death. Thank you that Jesus died so that I would never have to feel the effects of separation from you. Help me Lord to relish in the times of deep need and dependency fully knowing and understanding it is one of your most precious gifts to me. Help me to display this to the world as well so I may demonstrate your Vast and continual glory available to all who know you. Praise God that I am yours in Jesus name. Forgiven and set free.
DeleteGood Morning Fern! I read my devotionals early and at work. My books are at work and I went on the cite for today. It is 2020 and your post from 2017 represents exactly how I feel today and pray that it will continuously throughout the rest of my time here until I am in heaven with our Lord. Have a blessed day and thank you!
DeleteJeff, Your words still ring. Your prayer is my prayer. Thank you.
DeleteAmen Fern and Unknown. Let us display the Glory of the Living God in our daily walk, in word, thought and deed. Let people see the Christ in us, before they see anything else. Let us serve our Lord in truth and faith till we are gazing into His beautiful face.
Amen. Such beautiful prayers Jeanne, Jeff, Fern & unknown. I love this body of believers.
DeleteThank you Lord for being our loving loving Father who is always present . Deuteronomy 33:27 is so powerful! Our Lord and Savior never leaves us. I pray for your discernment Lord in everything.

DeleteThank you GOD for the privilege to come to the heart of Jesus Christ. Here I am reminded and reassured that the Messiah loves and cares for me ever so dearly. My Life is in the hands of Christ, ensuring I am well. Thank you for all the mental ease that comes with being upheld in Sovereign grace, rest, and gratefulness. It's well with my Soul that my Eternal Guiding Creator has the full armor of GOD wrapped around my mind, Spirit, and Environment. ReplyDeleteIf you look back on your journey, you can see...I have arrived where I was raised and graduated (Iron Mountain,MI). Tomorrow I will gather with my classmates for our 50th class reunion. As I remember my teen years, a time of molding and shaping by the hand of God, how gracious God was as I passed through that time. My behavior missed the mark of love more times than I can count. My words were not always a blessing to others. Fortunately, even my unloving desires were thwarted by our gracious Lord. But when my classmates gather tomorrow evening, I don’t suspect anyone will focus on any of those things. We will be glad to see each other again and we will enjoy each other as we should have 50 years ago. Thanks be to God for maturity that came through it all and God's grace that never gave me my do for all unloving thoughts, words, and deeds that are part of the adolescent years. Yes, I look back and see that through it all God was at work to mold me to His glory. In our gathering tomorrow, I suspect we will live in the present and not hold anything from the past against each other. (And if there should be a moment from the past that still lingers, I shall stand ready to say I am sorry.) I see a bit of heaven coming in all this.
ReplyDeleteWords of wisdom revealed over time. Thanks for that insight from someone 20 years behind but gleaning from your revelation now
DeleteThank you Lord for memories that help us to see you at work in our lives.
DeleteThank you for that lovely prayer Bob. I can truly relate what you have written.
DeleteIron Mountain Mi! "Gods Country" !
DeleteAnd we're gleaning from your wisdom, too. Knowing that you're celebrating 50 years since high school, reminds me to enjoy the moment because today will be a memory of the future <3 I appreciate this perspective and am excited to make those memories :) hope you're all doing well, God bless!
DeleteThis message Bob nurtured my Soul. To have people express this characteristic of Christ is heartwarming. Your style of expression has given me a new focus in this daily walk with Christ. A focus that uplifts the Spirit to welcome the best that life has to offer. I hope that reunion went well. Thank you for sharing.

Deuteronomy 31:8 - And the LORD, he [it is] that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Sassy Mom --- Nothing like praying the word! Oh, the power in those wors! Thanks for sharing.
DeleteSorry, fumbling fingers-- wors should read words.
DeleteAmen! Thank you for your powerful posts. Unknown unknown, I pray you have continued to pray each day, and have seen things to be looking up. Jesus is there with you. CO
DeleteAmen Sassy Mom! We all need those verses and encouragement.
DeleteDear Unknown Unknown. I pray that you are doing better and resting in Him who loves you exactly as you are. He knows your heart and your needs and fears. He can lead you to a strength of faith and healing of your weaknesses. He will never leave you. He is your Home. God bless you in all things.
3 a.m. and an early interruption of sleep. As is customary each day for nearly 2 years, I seek the Lord in prayer and to read the JC devo through this blog community. I'm still in awe of how Chris' effort has morphed into a convenient way to read JC and then the bonus benefit of a prayer community.
ReplyDeletePerhaps others here have dealt with lengthy times of professional turmoil. I have been for over a year and have dealt with situations where one's "energy" has been drained. Try as one might, you can't help but look back at painful mistakes and seemingly wise decisions. Yesterday was a day of learning that people fail to do as they should and as you've asked. So, today's message is a great reminder of putting your faith in Him AND of how blessed I am in so MANY other parts of my life. Nevermind, I'm not being crucified unjustly as our Lord was. Nor do I have anywhere near the challenges of the many seeking prayers here.
In faith, and humbly, I seek the Lord's hand in this rough terrain and this community's prayers that this season will be resolved sooner than later. And may this be true for all the JC community here, Father, hear our prayers and let us find peace in your everlasting arms. Amen.
Be still, and know that He is God. Madfox, He may be calling you out to do something new to glorify ❤Him❤
DeleteThank you. With God, all things are possible!
DeleteMadFox --- Covering all of IT with prayers and the blood of Jesus. I ask for the Lord's supernatural encouragement, favor and success to chase you down and fully envelope you! Great BLESSINGS, GRACE and MERCY to you!
DeleteMadFox, your challenges are exactly that: challenges. Not easier or worse than others' on here. I pray Jesus takes your hands and walks with you over the tumultuous terrain. He will carry you if you fall. Thanks be to God that you are able to see other areas of goodness in your life. Lifting you up with special prayers today! CO
DeleteMADFOX. I relate after a 40 year timespan in corporate america with a dysfunctional company that kept it that way on purpose to keep employees in ego and competitive mode under the everpresent threat of layoffs.
DeleteThe good news? It drove me closer an closer to God. I still have my Christian Daily Planner that I used everyday to get me through the madness. I chuckle at the work entries that seemed so important then and are totally meaningless now. The Book, Hope For The Flowers helped me get off that Caterpillar pileup. Praying for you to continuing seeing God's hand, trusting in His Holy Word, through it all. I ask. I pray. I thank. With much love. Brie
Yes Anonymous CO, challenges are challenges are challenges are challenges. There is no Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, nor Phase 4 where challenges are concerned!
DeleteAll challenges need prayer and God, which may be one of the reasons we get them??
Madfox. A great message to put your trust in the Lord. Those around us don't always follow through and we are so imperfect. Turmoil and stress is just part of the human condition. But just reaching for His Hand when we are walking through rough terrain is enough for Him to make our paths smooth again. He wants us to seek Him in our rough times. It's better to trust in God than Men. We don't always do that, but we should reach to Him before all others. He is the One who has the answers and solutions. He is the Peace that covers everything.
DeleteBrie! I can relate. I worked at Merrill Lynch for many years and then as a Legal Secretary for 30 years and through it all, Jesus kept me peaceful, hopeful and cheerful. I sought out other believers and we encouraged each other. I tried to be a bringer of His light and lifted all that I could. Through the many ups and downs, and too many cigarettes and stress, the Lord was at my side calming me and restoring my spirit. I am more than a conqueror. Thank you Jesus!
Ahhh. Mad 🦊, perhaps the new "work" is now emerging in God's timing for you. If so, hang on to your hat for take off! 🙏
DeleteAudra, 2 years later that may indeed be the case! And it appears that lessons gained in the past 5 years through professional, spiritual, and physical "challenges" are to be shared as evidence of His mercy and grace.
DeleteGood morning 🌞 JC family!JC Devo. Suggests, "we go gently" into this day. Today I bounce into it but certainly very much dependent on the Lord. always love reading your comments sassy mom.
Deletethank you for being a light for all of us in this community. your strength is admirable. so because this devotional speaks about neediness and our extreme weaknesses.. how do work through that.. how do we not feel so bogged down by all of our worries? I know prayer is so helpful and trusting that God has a bigger plan for all the bumps in the road. How do we trust how do we let go of expectation and our neediness? how do we lean in and just commit fully?
Like Nike say. . "Just Do it "Just Exhale. Just confess that is bigger than you. Cry out to God and Trust Him. I'm speaking from experience. Yield to the One that can fix it. God can and He will. Step out on Faith

ReplyDeleteA previous day here someone suggested we listen to the sermon of S.M. Lockridge called: "That's my King". on Youtube
I looked it up and listened yesterday. It blessed me immensely and I will listen to it again and again in future days. I believe it will be a blessing to you if you haven't listened yet, put it on your list for the next day or so. Love, Kathy
Thank you dear Kathy! Will be listening in the following days.

DeleteDEVOTIONS FROM THE BEACH: THE STRENGTH OF SEA OATS
ReplyDeleteFROM MATTHEW 11
Come to Me and I will give rest to all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear My Yoke. It fits you perfectly. Let Me teach you. I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls. I only give you light burdens.
MY PRAYER FOR US:
Ahh! Lovely, graceful, gently moving in the wind, Sea Oats. What's their secret for always appearing so relaxed and so easy going and with so much sway above ground? The answer my friend, is not blowing in the wind. The answer lies deep underneath their surface. There, a strong complex root system exists. The Sea Oats trust their root system to carry the load. A root system with the strength that sand and soil need for 'keeping it all together' during storms, hurricanes and other extreme conditions. When the Sea Oats' root system is firmly established, then they are low maintenance and immune to pests. On our beach walk, sea oats also guide us to the sea.
When our gentle friend, Jesus is firmly rooted in our hearts, then we become like His Sea Oats. As we journey on, He tenderly guides us and reminds us that we are almost there!
Dear Heavenly Father God,
Because they illustrate how perfectly You created this world and anchor our spiritual life so we can relax in Your Everlasting Arms while growing stronger in our awareness of Your Presence, would You accept our Praise and Thank You for inviting us to be Sea Oats and reaping all their benefits? Yes! Yes! Lord. We desire to be Your Sea Oats. We want to accept Your Invitation. We need Your Help. Would You help us? I knock. I seek. I ask. I pray in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Thanks dear Brie! Relaxing in the Everlasting Arms.
DeleteAmen, I will do my best to remain aware of being in His sweet Presence today.
Hello everyone, I have watched this JC blog for a couple of years when I don’t have access to my book & need an inspirational word. I gleam from all of the pearls of wisdom that I find every time I visit here. But this day I am compelled to ask the believers for prayer for my beloved cousin who has been suffering with illnesses since she was 19. Now in her 50’s she is tired and weary from fighting the good fight. She is refusing treatment and i believe depression is trying to take root in her life causing her to want to give up. I solicit the prayers of the righteous because I know they availeth much. Please help me pray for a miracle healing for my cousin. I believe God is wanting to do a new thing in her life.
ReplyDeleteDear Angie, that's my DIL's name also😊. Storming the gates of heaven for your precious cousin. Warriors are on it! "Jesus, you know how our human frame can easily buckle under the weight of such a long illness. I for one am inspired by her long-suffering ordeal. You are a loving, nurturing God. You have carried her, sustained her through it. We petition You Jesus to continue to gird her up, strengthen, hold her fast, emotionally, spiritually & physically for the rest of this journey & certainly Jehovah Rapha! We ask that You heal her! Amen!
DeleteThank you so much Jan. I’m in tears reading your prayer. I know it touched heaven.
DeletePraying for both you and your cousin, Angie.
DeleteCome Lord Jesus Christ. Come with Your Grace and Mercy. Come Lord Jesus. We need You. Amen.
Angie, I lift up your cousin in prayer asking for complete healing for your cousin.
DeleteAngie - Joining warriors in prayer for you and your cousin.
DeleteAngie, Joining in prayers for the healing of your dear Cousin.
DeleteAmen, Jan! He has sustained her through it all and she's still here. May He awaken a hope in her Spirit and bring light to her tired and depressed mind, so she can see that God's plan is not finished for her and the best is yet to come.
Amen Jeanne, liking, "the best is yet to come".
DeleteThank you all!!! My faith is growing stronger through this. My God always makes a way even in the most unlikeliest places. I’ve always kept quiet & watched & never commented. I was led to comment after years. My Lord!!
DeleteWe welcome you dear Angie 🥰. Another warrior Lord to join the throng! Thank You! Looking forward to more of your posts Angie.

Thank you Jesus, I trust you Jesus! Thank you for the abundance of plums on our'wedding tree' this year! So many that they were like clusters of giant grapes along the branches. It was hailing plums in the yard as we shook the tree. I call them my prayer plums. As I gathered them and now process and share them, your answered prayers will go far and wide. May each of you be blessed by the abundance of God that surrounds us. May all of our eyes see and our ears hear the wonders of Your love. I loved the walk on the beach today, Brie. Sea oats have always been a fave, and I have a new reason to love them with your analogies. Processing more plum prayers for all requests today!
Audra- I love reading about your plum harvest. I know what it feels like. I just went out to my shitakes logs & PTL, I harvested over 3 lbs. Of shitakes. Hmmm, I wonder what cooked plums & shitakes taste like 😬? Oh how happy we feel when experience a harvest! Can You imagine how The Lord of the harvest will feel when the day comes and multitudes will be saved all at once! Oh what victory, oh what a Saviour, oh happy day! Hallelujah!
DeleteI can only imagine, come Holy Spirit!
DeleteJan,That's quite a glorious harvest to His glory! Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
DeleteAs in the seasons of our lives, this year yielded only a small fraction of the plums. But it still boar fruit, as do we when we rest in the will of God. Jesus, you know my heart, you know my struggles, you know I love you. Thank you for patience to weather this next season, and the ones that follows. I know you are near, cast away my fear.
DeleteThank you, I trust you.
And this year, not a one! We had a cold snap that killed the blossoms last spring. In a community where in previous years there has been an abundance of fruit (plums, peaches, apples, cherries) this year we see none. I look for the analogy but come up empty. Back to trust and faith, things I do have control over 😉 Thank you Jesus, for circumstances.
DeleteOur Dear Audra,
DeleteThanks for sharing your plum journey, year over year.
Today's devotion says, Look to Me and My sufficiency; rejoice in My radiant riches that are abundantly available to help you...Memories of these days are richly interwoven with golden strands of My intimate Presence...
And, Thank you for reminding me of my Mom's reminder. She was a firm believer and included WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE in her daily devotions.
Here is one of the readings she shared with me:
THANKING GOD FOR ALL HIS BLESSINGS ON YOU!
A stranger was passing through a small town in the fruit growing section of the country. The folks were having a picnic, singing, dancing, and celebrating to the music of an old fashioned harmonium (It's Cherry Pink And Apple Blossom Time, perhaps?) Stopping before a gray haired country woman, the stranger said, What are you celebrating lady?
The old lady answered, You must be a stranger, the old lady answered; we are celebrating Apple Blossom Day!
The stranger looked around, and saw that all the apple trees were bare, and said, But where are the apple blossoms?
The old lady replied with a sigh, They all froze last week; they froze for miles and miles around.
The stranger asked, Then what on earth do you have to celebrate and be so thankful about?
The old lady stood up straight and tall and said, It would take more than frost kill to stop us from celebrating because thanks be to God, we had a Mighty Good apple harvest last year, and God helping, there will be more apple blossoms next spring, so we are celebrating God and thanking Him in advance!
Ephesians 5: Giving thanks always for all things unto God!
Dear Heavenly Father God, Would You help us be thankful for all our blessings? And may we be doubly thankful for the privilege of praying to You, for the gift of Your Infinite Everpresence, for Your Being forever with us, watching over us and each of our dear ones, and directing our steps toward greater contentment and joy in Your Word? In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Thanks Mom, Gone from my sight, yet always remembered in my heart.
I love this fruitFULL story, Brie!
DeleteThis year, lots of plum blossoms but moderate fruit yield. I think God decided it was a year for peaches and apples as we have a super abundance of each all around town. I'm jammin'!
Thank you Jesus, you provide what we need all in good time. ♥️✝️
Gratitude and Praise! Thanks Terri.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful harvest, Audra! You are giving God the glory and He is blessing you with the fruit of your labor and an abundance that you can share. I'll bet your sweet plums make the best jam! Enjoy and be blessed!
Jam and plum sauce inventory from last year is still being enjoyed 😉
DeleteBeautiful prayers for Revival and Return yesterday. I wrote down my thoughts and they just became a prayer to share:
ReplyDeleteFather God, We are praying You give the world a new heart and a new spirit.
Wash us of any wickedness. Help us turn away from bad ways. You know us by the fruit of our deeds. Let our fruit be sweet.
Lead us to be bold witnesses and bringers of Your Word. Change us. Put a fire of repentance, renewal and revival in our hearts.
Open our hearts to release the fear, so every fiber of our being can be filled with your peace. Let us rest in the assurance that You are our God.
Lead your people to follow Your laws. Rid of us the ungodly who threaten to separate us from your love and pull us off the straight course of righteousness. Change their hearts so they will see You are the only way to salvation. Open their closed eyes, soften their hardened hearts and give them clarity of mind.
Rid us of racism, terrorism, violence and hatred. Gives us new eyes of faith to see Your People through Your eyes of love.
Let your mighty Hand be over all of us. Give us humble hearts and lead us to repentance. Heal our weaknesses of body, mind and spirit. And show us the way back to You, our First Love.
Change us now! Lead us to turn away from wicked deeds and Return to You.
Let us do away with false pretenses, vanity, greed and prestigious titles. Let us not think too highly of ourselves. Let us be blessed to be known as Your sons and daughters.
Let us throw away our pride, greed, unforgiveness and anger. They are of no value to you. Let us realize we are nothing without You, and every good thing we are or have is because of You. Let us allow you to direct our paths and our decisions. Your Way is so much better than our way.
We will never please you if we disregard Your rules of order. Let us not be wishy washy but steadfast and true. Let us aspire always to grow closer to You each day and love You more dearly.
Save Your Supreme Court. Govern Your leaders and Your People. Put a right heart into those who are our Leaders. Let them see You have Authority over all.
Let us surrender all we have to You. Have Your Way with us. Take our reins and lead us in every area of our lives. Protect and bless us and our families. Guide them to You.
Let this World shine again with Your Light.
Show us how to return to You. Revive us.
Let us not just pray for a revival but help us to live the revival.
You are greater than the ungodliness in this fallen world.
The darkness of this world will never overcome Your brilliant Light.
Now we must be candles in the night and lift others out of their darkness. Help us to lift their weary hearts, and give them eyes to see You are calling them: Come to Me and I will give you the true Peace. Let them see the Glory of the Living God.
You say: Call to Me and I will answer you. We are calling to You as a family. Show us the way to prepare the Way of the Lord. Let us not grow lazy in serving You.
Make our crooked paths straight. Let Your Light shine upon us. Wash us. Renew us. Revive us. Lead us. The time is now. Let us arise and shine in You.
Repentance without return is empty. Let us make real changes that reflect our repentance and return.
We continue to stand on You, our Rock and Refuge. We trust Your Faithfulness and Wait on You in hope and patience. Thank you, Jesus!!! The Name above all other Names. Your Name is Holy, Lord, and Great is Thy Faithfulness.
Jeanne- after watching the Return rally, I definitely echo your prayer dear sister. Have Your way oh Lord, have Your way amongst us. You are our Rock & Refuge. Change our hearts oh God. I love You dear Saviour, come, come, even so Lord Jesus, come!
DeleteI watched too, AMEN!
DeleteIs this "The Return" to which you are referring?
Delete"“The Return” will be buttressed by speeches from a slate of notable religious conservatives, including former Rep. Michele Bachman, Family Research Council leader Tony Perkins, and Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow, and has taken a decidedly political overtone in its messaging." ?
AMEN!!! Sister Jeanne, Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAmen sweet Sisters! We are of one accord. Praise His Holy Name!
ReplyDeleteI confess to Almighty God and to you my brothers and sisters that I have flubbed today’s devotion on yesterday.
ReplyDeleteToday’s Devotion reminds us …Your weakness is an opportunity to grow strong in awareness of My Almighty Presence (WHEW!). When your energy fails you, do not look inward and lament the lack you find there (WHEW!). Look to Me and My sufficiency (WHEW!); rejoice in My radiant riches that are abundantly available to help you (YEAH!)…
Yesterday, I allowed satan to work its anger in me, through me, and out from me. It knew exactly what bait to use. It knows I cannot rightly stand @ God when I am blamed for something I did not do, have credit taken away from me for good things I did do, and being criticized, beyond what my patience and tolerance can tolerate, for who I am and what I am not. I confess that I cannot have right standing with God when anger is concerned. I confess that I need and invite God’s Holy Spirit to handle anger for me. Please God, I want to feel nearer my God to Thee than I feel right here and right now. Take away from me, whatever is different from Thee. Yes, take it away from Me! Lord, I turn to You and Your Sufficiency. In Jesus’ Name I pray to receive and rejoice in Your radiant riches that are abundantly available to help me. I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. I YIELD. Amen
PS> Life was not a beach!
DeleteWe all let our emotions get in the way of our service and our devotions. We are human beings, flawed and fragile. The strongest and most beautiful part of us is the Christ in us. And that's not going anywhere. He will always be with us to lift us back up when we fall. Just like we lifted up our own children up when they fell, or scolded when they did something bad, and then forgave them. God sees our efforts and knows our hearts of love for Him. He knows sometimes when we're tired and we've just been working for too many hours, we aren't shining His light the way we should. We get cranky and even let go of His Unchanging Hand. This is a brand new day, just packed to the brim with new possibilities to glorify Him, shine His light and make things right. I love you my dear sister. You are nothing but sweetness to my heart. Yesterday is gone. Let's all live in the present where He meets us.
DeleteAmen Jeanne! So very true. Thank you for your wonderful words. God bless you both.
DeleteBrie, He knows :) Lean on the Everlasting Arms: https://youtu.be/IyfxQB_lXj4
DeleteThanks Jeanne, Janet, and Peter; I'm leaning and praying for Him to take away my pain, guilt, and sorrow so I can feel His Presence near. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
DeleteI think the Lord would tell you that guilt is over rated. Your safety net is always there, come to Him and rest, giving up your heavy baggage. Love you sister!
DeleteIncluding good old Catholic Guilt? Surely you jest!
DeleteThanks Audra and all for throwing me a safety ring to get out of the seaweed, away from the jellyfish, and back into His Crystal Clear open waters of soul satisfying refreshment. Ooh! Ahh! Ohh!
I can think about that tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is another day!
DeleteOur dear sister Brie, I'm so sorry someone hurt you. I'm in agreement with the others. God knows your good heart and your ambitions to make life better for others are endless. It's because you care so deeply that you were hurt. We are here saying you are perfectly heard in prayer. Jesus came here because we could never be "good enough" with the laws and commandments. You brought your confession and laid it at the foot of the cross and now breathe deeply of the Holy Spirit's peace and love that never left you. Loving Hugs dear sister
DeleteThanks Kathy ♥️
DeleteUp way too late and I just wanted to share these great verses from Psalm 72:
ReplyDelete17 His name shall endure forever;
His name shall continue as long as the sun.
And men shall be blessed in Him;
All nations shall call Him blessed.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
Who only does wondrous things!
19 And blessed be His glorious name forever!
And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen and Amen.
We will continue to Bless His Holy Name and we will never forget His benefits.
And another AMEN!

ReplyDeleteI've had many tears and sorrows,
I've had questions for tomorrow,
there's been times I didn't know right from wrong.
But in every situation,
God gave me blessed consolation,
that my trials come to only make me strong.
Through it all,
through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God.
Through it all,
through it all,
I've learned to depend upon His Word.
I've been to lots of places,
I've seen a lot of faces,
there's been times I felt so all alone.
But in my lonely hours,
yes, those precious lonely hours,
Jesus lets me know that I was His own
Through it all,
through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God.
Through it all,
through it all,
I've learned to depend upon His Word.
I thank God for the mountains,
and I thank Him for the valleys,
I thank Him for the storms He brought me through.
For if I'd never had a problem,
I wouldn't know God could solve them,
I'd never know what faith in God could do
I love that hymn. Thank you for sharing Min Ahadi. Peace be with you.

DeleteWhat a beautiful song! Thanks sweet sister.
ReplyDeleteAnd He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. (Psalm 28:7). Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. (Proverbs 31:25).
ReplyDeleteFather, thank You for all that You teach me. You are my strength and refuge. I lean on You and need You always. Help me to keep You the center of my life and to always look to You in all things. Remove this worldly mentality from me and replace it with a spiritual mentality of You. I praise You Lord always. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
In an effort to move past yesterday's flub ups, I am singing for me, for you, and for all of us.

Another now on the playlist, thank you!
DeleteThat is such a great song too! Just sent the link to my Mom and Sis! Thanks dear Brie!
DeleteBefore opening the Bible, let’s ask God to reveal His will to us. Pray with the psalmist, “Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law” (Psalm 119:18). Say with Samuel, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears” (1 Samuel 3:9).
ReplyDeleteGOD is in control and you just can’t beat that. RDS.
Blessings to you, my dear JC Family. Brie, you are so precious to put into words what we all experience at times. And, as everyone has confirmed, He knows what we're made of and loves us anyway! Your day yesterday reminded me of my Saturday. But, it's in the past now and today is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy handsome #2 son stopped by before work. He is feeling strong and healthy again and peaceful knowing he won't be terminated for not being vaccinated. My dear friend, Jayne is feeling a little better and stronger every day. Jeanne, I so wish I could hear you sing! Your song, Cover Me, is so beautiful. Are you on YouTube or anywhere where I can hear your voice?
So much to give thanks for, dear Family. Reminding myself today what is in Matthew 5:13, 14. You are the salt of the earth; You are the light of the world. Let me be worthy of those words, Father and remember that I am a child of light. Thanking God for our lights shining!
Good morning dear Norah and dear brothers and sisters! Amen and Amen. You are all precious to me too. It is such a blessing that we are loved just as we are, imperfect with all our human flaws and shortcomings.
ReplyDeleteNorah, I'm so glad your handsome son is doing well and he added much light to your day. Thank God Jayne is feeling a bit better and God is strengthening her. More answered prayers. Please pray for my neighbor Terry who is getting surgery right now to remove part of her lung due to cancer. She is not a believer but I sent her papers of Bible verses for healing and told her to bring it to the hospital for comfort. She thanked me. Sorry Cover me isn't on Youtube but here is a link to a song I wrote about getting older, called One Gray Hair on a Black Coat. Hope you will be able to open it.
https://m.soundcloud.com/user-368272264/one-gray-hair-on-a-black-coat-master-9-18-17
Let us all be bright lights to everyone we speak to and meet today. Father, Bless Terry and open her heart to You. Guide her doctor to remove only the cancer cells and bring her back to good health and lead her to You, in Jesus' Name we pray.
Absolutely beautiful voice, song, and person. ♥️ Thank you so much for sharing your beauty with us, Jeanne. I loved it. ♥️
DeletePS Why are you not on The Voice?
DeleteWow Jeanne! Echoing Brie's comments! What a blessing to hear you sing! Thank you for sharing your gift of music with us. The Lord blessed you with a beautiful voice! Praying for you dear sister and for Terry's to be healed and drawn to the Lord as He comforts her. Praying and lifting everyone and every request here to our Heavenly Father. Love you JC family ! ♥
DeleteBlessings from France
You’re so welcome my dear sister! 💗😊🙏
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers for Terry.
ReplyDeleteTerry has my prayers, Jeanne.
DeleteTake comfort in the Light. My DH was in a lung cancer with lobe removal situation a few years ago. He went into surgery as a professed atheist. While he was in surgery, I felt pressured to double down on prayer, in that I was praying for two. Somewhere between then and now, he was changed.
As long as there is life, there is hope. Prayers will continue for Terry. Love you.
Hallelujah! Thanks Brie! You saw a transformation in your DH because God answered your prayers and opened his heart to Jesus. I am praying Terry will be changed by reading those pages of verses in the Hospital. God’s Word will speak to her heart! Thank You Jesus!
ReplyDeleteOH!!! Jeanne!! What a great song! LOVED hearing your beautiful voice! Please send me the lyrics. I'm right there with you - I don't feel ready, either...my inner child is still running free. :) Heading to bed blessed. Praying for Terry. Love you, Brie - loved hearing about your DH's transformation. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Norah! I'm glad you enjoyed it and could relate. That gives God glory too. Here are the lyrics to One Gray Hair on a Black Coat.
DeleteTime’s moving on. I know it has to be
But I don’t feel that way inside of me
And now the proof is very plain to see
One gray hair on a black coat.
Lines on the face right in front of me.
But in my heart my inner child runs free
I always thought the saddest thing to see
One gray hair on a black coat
Like grains of sand inside an hourglass
Days come and go until they’re gone
But peace from way up high will always last
I’ll fill my heart and carry on.
I have no reason to feel sorry NO
I feel so young in every way
That speeding train just leaves some marks that show
I don’t regret them. They tell a story
of ups and downs that lead to God’s grace and glory
----------------------------------------------------------------
Like grains of sand inside an hourglass
Days come and go until they’re gone
But peace from way up high will always last
I’ll fill my heart and carry on.
I have no reason to feel sorry NO
I feel so young in every way
That speeding train just leaves some marks that show
I don’t regret them. They tell a story
of ups and downs that lead to God’s grace and glory
Can’t stop the hands of time in any way
I have my gifts but time won’t let me play
He’ll make a way for me, come what may
One gray hair on a black coat
Lines on the face right in front of me.
But in my heart my inner child runs free
I always thought the saddest thing to see
One gray hair on a black coat. One gray hair on a black coat.
One gray hair on a black coat.
Thanks for the "hair share" Jeanne 😉
ReplyDeleteLoved it and you!
You made me smile with your "hair share" dear Audra! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your sweet love!
DeleteThanks for your prayers for Terry. The Dr. said it went just has he had planned. We pray for God to give her a smooth and perfect recovery. Thank You Jesus.
ReplyDeleteThis devotion is about leaning on God's strength in our weakness, and remembering all the times that He has brought us through our trials when we were weak and powerless. Well I just found out that a dear friend from my music family, John, a Christian, a father, a grandfather, a wonderful musician, singer and great person, has cancer everywhere in his body and has lost so much weight that his sister told my friend that he is getting close to death. He needs a miracle. Please join me in asking for that miracle.
ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father, You are so great and there is no limit to Your healing power and Your mercy. We come to you with faith and thanksgiving to ask you to take away John's cancer, every bit of it, every bad cell, Remove it from his body, Replace each cancer cell with healthy tissue, restore his organs to perfect function, increase his body mass, give him strength of body, mind and spirit. Let him see Your amazing power and also the power of sincere prayer. Strengthen him and give him hope for a future with his little grandson and family. Amaze the doctors and his loved ones with a miracle of healing for John because we know all things are possible through Jesus Christ. We believe all your promises; we trust in Your faithfulness and we wait on You together. Thank You Father for all this in the Name of Christ Jesus, our Risen Lord. Amen
Dear Lord, lifting Jeanne’s friend up in prayer. You are the Great Physician and are capable of anything. Please heal Jeanne’s friend of the cancer that has overtaken his body. In Your Son’s name, Amen.

DeleteI'm believing with all of you JC Prayer Warriors that John has a miraculous healing, that his family is peaceful and God will get the Glory!
DeleteLord thank you for the trials and seasons we go through with You. Thank you for drawing me closer to You during those times.
ReplyDeleteJC Warriors, thank you for your prayers last week when I had the lump removed. I felt them all. God is good. Surgery went well, and my husband and son (16) took great care of me.
Blessings to each of you this day and lifting you all up in prayer.

DeleteDear Prayer warriors, Please pray for my cousin Susie (a believer) who lives in a trailer in Florida. She is in the eye of the hurricane Ian and safely moved to her daughter's home a few miles away but bracing for the hurricane. Just received this message. "We came through some unbelievable rain last night. We got through it by the grace of God. We are in God's hands." Please pray for all who are in the path of the hurricane Ian.
ReplyDeletePraying for Susie, her family and all in the way of this hurricane. Lord, You can do ALL things. Let this storm dissipate and be downgraded to just a thunderstorm, Father!

DeleteIn the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul. (Psalm 94:19). This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (118:24). Rejoice in the LORD always. Again, I will say, rejoice! (Philippians 4:4).
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteBeautiful verses, dear Janet! I've been with my baby granddaughter and I have been comforted and blessed. We must rejoice even in the valley times because they test our faith.
DeleteAmen! Hallelujah! Rejoice!💕🙏🌈
ReplyDeleteGood morning warriors 🌞. Blessings to each of you today. Thank you for always standing in the gap through your prayers. It brings me comfort & peace. Asking for some prayers today. I have a bone density test this afternoon. Good results would be great. Hubby is off blood thinners for a week for oral surgery, asking that his platelets will behave during this time. DeleteToday is one of those days when the gage on my energy tank is reading empty. It happens from time to time when I am unable to sleep (can't seem to switch off brain activity - It's not worry or concerns, just random thoughts.
ReplyDeleteSo today is a day to "Relax in My everlasting arms.", and to "Go gently through this day, leaning on Me and enjoying My Presence".
Exodus 33:14 "The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Praying for all who need to rest in Him today.
Peter~ sounds like this may be one of those days where He reminds us to "Be still and know that I am God". Psalm 46:10
DeletePeace, brother.
Hope you got some rest, dear Peter. God provides our needs. I have often felt Him telling me to stop and rest. We can't serve Him when we are weary. He restores us when we surrender to sweet sleep.
DeleteHello JC followers -this brings me such comfort to read daily. I have had some anxious thoughts about a new opportunity that has been placed upon me in the form of new employment. I am willing to work tenaciously for the Lord but am now a senior and wanting to work part time-to have 3 days off in a row. May you Lord please put your continued favor upon me. I am so thankful for the personal relationship I have with you which is such a treasure. Thank you for your precious son’s gift of his sacrificial life as I want to do thy will as there will be adversities and spiritual warfare. Please give all of us a peace that surpasses all understanding.
ReplyDeletePut it all into God's able Hands, dear Katie. He wants you to succeed. Don't be anxious. Acknowledge Him as you approach your new job. He will guide you and supply all the words you need. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You have a solid rock to stand on and He isn't going anywhere.
DeleteThank you, JC Prayer Warriors...my DH got another good report at the Oncologist's today! Thank you, God, for giving your only begotten Son to set us free. Praying for you, Dear Katie - I'll pray for that 4 day work week with 3 off in a row! It's available....
ReplyDeleteWoke up scratchy and thinking I couldn't/shouldn't go into a hospital with compromised people. However, God had other plans for me. I went, it was good (better than good), and together, we prevailed.
Heading to bed....peaceful.
Peter, you are in my prayers, Brother. Praying for a renewed energy and 'letting go,' of all of that 'brain activity.' I know it all too well! Sleep sweet, Brother. God is on the Night Watch!
Thank you, Jeanne, Brie, Audra, for your specific prayers. They are priceless.
Tomorrow is another day to believe for the BEST!
Hallelujah for answered prayers for your good husband! Sorry you're still not feeling well. But God will make you better. So happy you can sleep in peace knowing God has been faithful to your DH and to you. Rest well. Amen! God is on the Night Watch. Believing for the Best!

ReplyDeleteThanks dear MadFox! Thinking of you and praying for you. My dear friend Sandy reached out to me today. Her infection is gone, thanks to God's amazing healing power and all of your prayers. She's home now. Her good daughter is going back to California and her sister is coming to stay with her for a while. She needs help right now. Hope and pray you're doing well and glorifying God with your good work and daily walk. I know you're a wonderful witness for Him. God bless you always. Praying my mom doesn't experience any ill affects from her Pneumonia shot today. I got two spots on my face biopsied by my dermatologist today. Praying God will bring me a good report in a week that says B9. God has been so faithful and He helped me to complete my prep for my Bible group which I figured I wouldn't get done for another few days. Today's devotion spoke to my heart especially:
ReplyDelete"Go gently through this day, leaning on Me and enjoying My Presence. Thank Me for your neediness, which is building trust-bonds between us". Well I have been burning my candle at both ends so I do feel like I need to lean on Him. I speak to Him so much and I know He hears every word. I'm gonna stay with my mom and sister at least 4 or 5 days. Janet really needs a break. But my Choirmaster won't be happy. I can only do the best I can. God bless you, my brother. Praying you're feeling good. I'll bet you're very good at juggling all your responsibilities with the grace of God. We give them all to Jesus and He puts them in the right order. He orders our steps and our days. Praying for those in the path of the Hurricaine. May God answer our prayers, heal and strengthen us and our dear ones in every way, and lead us through this new day. Thank You Father for this in Jesus' Name. Amen.
1 Peter 5:10-11
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
