Leave outcomes up to Me. Follow Me wherever I lead, without worrying about how it will all turn out. Think of your life as an adventure, with Me as your Guide and Companion. Live in the now, concentrating on staying in step with Me. When our path leads to a cliff, be willing to climb it with My help. When we come to a resting place, take time to be refreshed in My Presence. Enjoy the rhythm of life lived close to Me.
You already know the ultimate destination of your journey: your entrance into heaven. So keep your focus on the path just before you, leaving outcomes up to Me.

Dear Jesus, Thank you for these calming words. I accept your invitation to stay on Your path today. Stay in the present...it is such a habit to allow my mind to travel back into the past or into the future but with your help I can do your will which is stay peacefully in the present. Thank you for the warm, beautiful sun, warming all in my view. Amen
ReplyDeleteAmen, Carol. Thank you for your prayer even all these years later!
DeleteThanks Carol from me too! Your reply is filled with the same peace as today's entry.

ReplyDelete♪Draw me close to you ........... You're all I want .... all I ever needed♪
Thank you Heavenly Father.
In today's message, Jesus says look at the path just ahead instead of worrying about where it leads in a month or two from now. We know that our final important destination is heaven. So why do I/we worry and hyper-think of our tomorrows? I can be less stressed by asking Him to get me through today where our friends and family can also help. So we pray that by embracing the here and now, in His light, the path ahead is easily seen! And I must trust that the unseen path to my future is safe in His hands. Thank you Lord. Amen
ReplyDeleteThinking of you MadFox and sending warm greetings and praying for your strength. Also praying that the Holy Spirit helps keep you in the here and now, in His Light. All the best to you and yours.

DeleteStill praying and agreeing in prayer with these warriors!
DeleteThis message and these prayers mean so much to me. God knows the things I'm working on and the fears/worries that I have. Help me, Father, trust in you and not my own understanding. I want the life you want for me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray.
ReplyDeleteI would like this etched on the inside of my brain please! So wise, so God!
ReplyDeleteAlong this journey you and I are on, there are many outcomes along the way and then for all of us together, there is the Outcome which is the destination of the journey. Comparatively, next to the Outcome, the outcomes we experience day to day are so trite and trivial. When we reach the Outcome, we will be so overwhelmed by God’s love that we will completely forget all the outcomes along the way as we become caught up in praise and thanksgiving to our Lord & Savior. Whenever we let the Outcome hold sway over all outcomes today, we will experience the eternal life that we are waiting to receive in all its fullness.
ReplyDeleteYou expressed this truth about our momentary trials verses our eternal glory so beautifully. I will share it at work this morning. Thank you!
DeleteBeautifully put! It blessed me a year later!
DeleteIN HIS LOVE
Thanks for clarifying the difference between outcome and OUTCOME! And thank you for adjusting the focus on these binoculars. I can see more clearly now.
DeleteAmen Bob! This time on earth is just a flash in the pan. We are living for the great Outcome, the long line that goes on forever when we will finally be with our First Love.
DeleteDear Lord, Help me to leave the Outcomes to you. In my humanness, I struggle with trying to control the Outcome. Help me to see this path, and this journey, is part of the story written specifically for me. Help to stay connected to you each and every day so that one day I may receive the ultimate Outcome--eternity with You. Amen
ReplyDeleteTo ABC, my beloved friend in Christ, you will receive the ultimate Outcome and are invited to enjoy it today. God be with you!
DeleteThank you Bob. Praying you are well!
DeleteMy journey to receive the ultimate outcome continues. Sainthood on earth, and ultimately Heaven for an eternity!
DeleteDear heavenly Father, as I continue my journey, help me to know you are with me every step of the way. Help me to accept the turns, bumps and hills. Teach me to not only look for a smooth flat journey, as it is with my journey (bumps and turns) I grow more dependent on you. Thanks you for being there. Amen.
Glad to see you here again ABC! I ask in prayer as you do today π♥️

ReplyDeleteunknown unknown November 19 2019 the night will shine like the day for darkness is as light to you Psalm 139:12. Dear friend may you see light in the darkness. I pray that God will show you His richest today. That some how you will see it and discover that he is really with you in your time of need.
DeleteI was faced again with an obstacle I saw no way to get through it logically. I was trying so hard to figure it out on my own. I remembered that what you ask in prayer you will receive if you have faith and believe you will receive It, you will.I prayed for help in the matter and God led people to me in His perfect timing to help. One of the last people I expected to be able to help was the one God used. It was another lesson of faith God wanted to show me. He is there to guide help, and show you the path in each moment. God's ways are simple yet profound to our comprehension. There is no problem or situation too big for God.Try and remember this in tough situations so you do not stress and worry for no reason. God loves all of You-I-Me!

His ways are not our ways, but they are perfect. I bet our Papa God delighted in the help he provided to you! What a loving God. I appreciate your sharing here!
DeleteMy heart is torn as one of my closest sisters in Christ shared with me yesterday that she has to have surgery to remove a 'mass' on her ovary. Please pray for her with me. I will send her this JC devotion today. All of us believers know our final destination. I will confess only the best for my sister. I will control my mind. I will be there for her. Too many are facing this and it makes me weep for their pain and the fact that in my humanness, I, too feel that chill run up my spine. I rebuke fear in the name of Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteI thank each of you for your words of strength and peace and for the prayers I know you will pray with me for this dear sister. This time last year, I was giving situations to Him and He saw me through them. I would have to think too hard to even remember what I was specifically praying for or about. Forgive me Father for ever doubting. Thank you that Trust can overcome Fear.

DeleteGreat is Your faithfulness Lord, I thank You that morning by morning, You grant me new mercy. The shed Blood of Jesus has given me more then I will ever deserve! Your Unconditional Love is mind blowing. Many days I look at my life and how far You've brought me with Your mercy and grace and I wonder, 'Who am I that You are mindful of me? You not only call me Your daughter, You call me Your friend'? Oh, grace, grace, grace, Thank You for 'This Grace' that answers it all for me!!
ReplyDeleteMy JC family, thanks to ALL of you for the prayers lifted up for my sister Mae. This morning, the Lord has reminded me to leave ALL outcomes to Him, not worry, but just follow Him and focus on the path that He leads. As we pray and trust the Lord, He takes care of our Love ones as well. He is a God who hears us when no one can and answers us each time, according to His will!
As Heaven awaits us, let's live in the now, bask in the Presence of the Lord, leave all our worries at the foot of the cross and TRUST Him with the outcomes!
JC family prayer warriors, I want you to know that I stand with you ALL in prayers for each of your requests. Your posts are lifted up to the Lord in because, I Trust and BELIEVE He is able to do ALL but fail!
May His perfect peace and grace rest upon each of You today, as you trust Him and leave all outcomes up to Him!
Love, peace and blessings to all ❤.
Maplewood NJ
Thank you soooooo much Maplewood, I needed this reminder today. I am full of a sadness with no explanation and guilt because I feel then when GOD has been and continues to be so good to me. I solicit JC Family's prayers, I am estranged from my first born because I chose to tell her the truth versus tickle her ears and I am trusting GOD to restore, but I keep turning it over and going back at picking it back up! I truly trust and love GOD and know this too shall pass but in the waiting period I'll lean on my JC Family!
DeleteIN HIS LOVE
Praying for you and your daughter's relationship. He will make all things right.
DeleteGod's daughter- I too am going through the same thing. The turning over in your mind will deminsh as you let go & let God. Early on my mind kept replaying,"did I strike a sensitive chord in her?", "Was I wrong?". Then one day I left the outcome at the Lord's feet. Peace Sweet peace. Bless you & I as we waitπ₯°.
DeletePraying for you too, Jan. Isn't it crazy how so many of us are going through similar things? This blog truly is God's work.
DeleteAMEN and thank you Suzanne I agree this is definitely God's work! Jan I will take your advice and include you in my prayers as well!
DeleteIN HIS LOVE
I'm wondering, a year later, how these situations have turned out, as I too am estranged from one of my daughters. Because, after years of bad treatment from her, I retaliated and stood up to her. I was partly wrong.
DeleteAlso, please pray for another daughter who has started drinking again during this 2nd lockdown. She was doing so well.
Jesus.. I trust in you.

DeleteGood morning JC Family. I hope this morning brings you new blessings for today. As always you are all in my prayers. Norah I will be praying for your friend. Let God take over and trust in him. Maplewood I continue to pray for Mae as well. Prayer is a powerful medicine and we have a large group of believers to lift requests to the Lord.
ReplyDeleteEveryone have a wonderful day!
As I begin this day as an adventure with our Lord, you all are in my thoughts and prayers as always.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning! I would ask for prayers of healing for my husband. He has a cyst on his spine that is pushing a disc on a nerve causing severe pain. The options given are surgery or a steroidal epidural. We are looking at other options and 2nd opinions, but would ask for prayers for a let up in the pain he's experienced for the last 6 weeks. I pray that God will lead us to the correct solution and release him from the pain. Thank you. God Bless each of you. JE
ReplyDeleteJE- praying for wisdom for you & the doctor. God is on it & will faithfully lead all concerned. Bless you both.
DeleteMadFox- you were on my mind today & praying that you have gained victory π₯°. Praying for all the concerns posted todayπ
ReplyDeleteSweet sweet JanG and many other friends here, THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteVictories occur everyday as we often read here. But, yes, I am still waiting on God's perfect timing. It's been a challenging couple of years but I am so blessed in the HERE and Now, as today's JC devo tells us. I EMBRACE that God blesses me each morning... and I trust in the ultimate destination, so waiting on the turn-around in certain areas of my life is telling me that I am still climbing the "cliff" before me and to REST, when needed, in Him. So, I'm okay with my plight, but waiting... that's always been a weak spot in my Type A DNA... thus, suspect He is working on that in particular!! Peace.
Always a bright outlook from you, MadFox, no matter what. That is so heaven sent! Prayers from all of us continue for you. KS
DeleteWaiting is difficult for me too dear MadFox but I rest in the assurance that our loving Father already knows what is right around the bend. Just hold on, be not afraid, and trust in His faithfulness.
DeleteBe Not Afraid by Bob Dufford
Delete@ Isaiah 43:2-3, Luke 6:20
You shall cross the barren desert,
but you shall not die of thirst.
You shall wander far in safety
though you do not know the way.
You shall speak your words in foreign lands
and all will understand.
You shall see the face of God and live.
Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come, follow me, and I will give you rest.
If you pass through raging waters in the sea,
you shall not drown.
If you walk amid the burning flames,
you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the pow'r of hell
and death is at your side,
know that I am with you through it all.
Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come, follow me, and I will give you rest.
Blessed are your poor,
for the kingdom shall be theirs.
Blest are you that weep and mourn,
for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked tongues insult and hate you
all because of me,
blessed, blessed are you!
Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come, follow me, and I will give you rest.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful prayer dear Loveconquersall. Jesus, Thank you for helping us to be patient for Your marvelous plan to be revealed. Amen!
DeleteAnother prayer for our daughters: Father God, create in our daughters a pure heart, O God, and and renew a steadfast spirit within them(Psalm 51:10). Though our daughters have seen troubles, You will restore their life again; from the depths of the earth You will again bring our daughters up. YOU will increase our daughter's honor and comfort them once again(Psalm 71:20_21). Thank you that your word says that we are convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate our daughters from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And Father, because of your Holy healing love and plans, our daughters will not be separated from their families, either! Because You know the thoughts and plans You have for them and it is a GREAT PLAN! In Jesus's name AMEN and AMEN

DeleteThank you, Beloved JJ, for this powerful prayer today!
DeleteBrie asked there other day what is our favorite Psalm?
DeleteCan I pick two? Both referenced create in our daughters a pure heart, O God, and and renew a steadfast spirit within them(Psalm 51:10)
Psalm 27:13-14
English Standard Version
13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living!
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!
It seems my favorite Psalm is the one I am reading at the moment. That's the "LIVING WORD" FOR YOU! ♥️π
After reading this, I am still feeling frustrated and confused. Recently, my family experienced death, miscarriages, sickness, etc. I know these issues will come. I am not as faithful as I should be in my walk but I am getting discouraged even after praying. I pray and it seems like I'm waiting for another storm around the corner. How can I not worry with all that surrounds us. Forgive me if it sounds like I'm complaining. Just scared and seeking some advice.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: Fear is the opposite of love and is something evil uses against Christians. Being fearful is also a natural response to pain and tragedies. Tragedy can be debilitating to one's faith journey. If you've been reading Jesus Calling, one theme in the past few months has been that God doesn't necessarily lift us out of tragedies or trials, but gives us the ability to make it through each day by "holding our hand". Tomorrow, He will once again grip your hand and carry you through the day.
DeleteSadly, prayer can not fix all the consequences of bad decisions, bad circumstances, or even illnesses, but it can carry you through the challenge. My only advice is continue to be strength to your family and ask God to give you the wisdom and the compassion to help those in need including yourself. He is the Great Comforter and in the person of Jesus experienced the loss of His earthly father, the pain of an unjust death sentence, and the desertion of friends. In short, God knows your fears, and personally can hold your hand to bring you through this chapter of your life. Godspeed and Peace be with you in Jesus name. Amen
Thank you so much for sending this. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to encourage me. You are correct. Fear comes from the enemy and I must rely on God to hold my hand through it all. He always has and always will. Again, Thank you for reminding me where my help comes from. You have no idea how you helped me through this tough time.
DeleteGlad that the Spirit connected us, Fear is a Liar... Be at Peace.
DeleteMadfox, thank you for your reminders! Your words of wisdom and prayer for Anonymous have brought me great comfort today. Fear is a Liar and the evil one is constantly at work. God is faithful and good, always.
DeleteYour words reminded me to pray for His wisdom and His compassion as my family is going through serious struggles and I am on a journey of healing after being hit by a car. Through it all I am so incredibly blessed and God continues to take such good care of me and my family.
Loving prayers for you and your family, for our JC family, for our country and each of us in it and for the world.
God bless you Madfox
Fear is such a liar! Amen MadFox. Whenever I start feeling fear or apprehension, I say "JESUS" and that's the end of it. He is so much greater than any problem, illness or situation. I rest in Him who loves me.
DeleteThank you so much MadFox for all your inspiration, encouragment and truth that you bring to our family. We are praying for you always. Know you are so very dear to our hearts.
Fears a Liar is a refrain from a recent contemporary Christian song. I think I posted it. thanks for kind words, I will post an update in tomorrow's blog.
DeleteAnonymous--- Bless you for sharing! All of us WARRIORS for the Lord go through these seemingly dark periods at times. David cried out to the Lord in his dark times many times in the Psalms. The Psalms speak loudly to me because of how David cried to the Lord in his many troubles. I have learned that when I am up against unanswered prayer and there is plenty of pain, fear and uncertainty to go along with it--- I make special time to praise the Lord and give thanks for ALL OF IT! Now, I don't feel like praising the Lord, but I have learned that is what is needed. The Word says to give praise for all things. At this point, I also know I am in SPIRITUAL WARFARE. I plead the blood of Jesus and speak the name of Jesus over the circumstances. Having done all I know to do, I stand. I find scripures that speak to my circumstances and write them on note cards and place them where I see them and put some in my pocket. I read them outloud anytime I fell any twinges of fear or doubt. This is how I stand. I may be reading these scriptures numerous times through the day and night. The Lord said He would never leave me and He is able to work all thing together for good. He can make a way when there doesn't seem to be a way. There was a soul that asked God, "Why are you taking me through troubled waters?"
ReplyDeleteHe replied, "Because your enemies can't swim.
I trust the Lord to do what he says. He gave up His only son just for us. Bless the Lord, bless the Lord, bless His Holy name! Sending prayers of breakthroughs for your circumstances. Anonymous, the Lord loves you beyond measure and He lifts up those that are bowed down.
WOW! and YES! JJ
DeleteEverything you shared is useful, tried and true, because it works, and when we do it, you-know-who can't wait to get out of our life. It clears the path of all the overgrown bushes brush and underbrush for our Holy Spirit to walk us with Jesus. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate the way you sweep the room clean of satan.
Blessings now and forevermore to you and our JC Family
Delete...I find scripures that speak to my circumstances and write them on note cards and place them where I see them and put some in my pocket...I now make note of them in my cellphone. Whenever my heart gasps in anxiety/fear, instead of prescriptions, I pull out and take a PRESCRIPTURE. They work.
I have taken Psalm 91 so many times. I can say it from memory.
Thanks for all you do and teach us JJ. I appreciate you and our entire JC family.
JJ, love, "your enemies can't swim!" You are precious dear girlπ I miss you! Praying you are well & that heart of yours is behaving. I'm thinking you are just so busy sweeping satan into the trash bin! Be blessed, we love youπ₯°
DeleteDear JJ! You just added so much light and assurance to my day. Thank you so much! Jan, I too loved "your enemies can't swim!"
DeleteWe must trust God's guiding Hand even when it leads us to uncharted waters and out of our comfort zone. He is our Father and is teaching us through the hard times that we are more than conquerors and He fights our battles. I too have bible verses plastered all over my kitchen wall with photos of my family. I read them all the time and they encourage me and lift me. No matter what, Jesus is the Keeper of my heart, the Lover of my soul and my greatest friend.
Brie I just really related to your Prescriptures! Just what our Great Physician ordered! Amen! Just pasted Psalm 91 up too!
Thank you dear JJ! We are all loved beyond measure and lifted up high above any worldly care of problem. We are taken care of!!! Hallelujah!
JJs entry is another JC classic I will keep handy and refer to. Don't you just love the passion for declaring the truth by our Warrior Princess? So inspirational!
DeleteThank you JJ for showing me how God has always provided even in the thick of things. I must continue giving thanks to Him. I knew I was experiencing something but did not know the correct word. (Spiritual Warfare). I will take your advice and use note cards throughout my day. When you referenced enemies not being able to swim...I was amazed. He's allowing this because my family knows He is control and can handle what is before us. Thank you for reminding me as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you JJ and MadFox your answers for Anonymous are overflowing with the holy spirit. Don't be afraid, Anonymous, the lord goes before you always. DeleteJJ, thanks for your availability and faithfulness to prayer. You have certain circumstances that have freed you up to be of His service here. We appreciate you and others like you.
DeleteThank you JJ and feel many here like you do the same. I struggle on whether to post at times as many provide great responses. It is the prompting of the Spirit when I do... and I try to bring a lot of years of experience to the thoughts or prayers offered. Getting older requires a Christian to mentor no matter the format!! and again you offer much as Keith pointed out above. Peace and be blessed.
DeleteThank you @ Loveconquersall. I am thankful for all of you guys and shifting me in the right direction. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Deleteone last comment, it is in anonymity that we can share more openly in this format vs. meeting for coffee 1 on 1. And also it is much easier to remove ego, be humble, and provide as rhoughtful a response as is needed. May we always be prayerful of the opportunities to help fellow Christians who feel led to share their struggles here on Chris' blog centered on folks seeking to read Jesus Calling online.
ReplyDeleteAMEN Madfox I 100% agree it is easy to be 100% vulnerable and honest! GOD Knows!

DeletePREPARING FOR ADVENT
ReplyDeleteRevelation, the story of the final judgment to bring full restoration to everything that is God’s which is everything. The LORD begins the Divine Correction by walking among His chosen ones, in this case, the churches of Asia Minor. Second stop: Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11)
Jesus comes to this second city, just down the coast from Ephesus. His heart goes out to the small community of believers there. Smyrna itself is a thriving seaport and, as is often true, where there is prosperity, there will develop religious practices that support the affluence. Something of this nature had taken place in Smyrna and it was not consistent with what Jesus had taught His followers. The fledgling church held firmly to the principles of the faith and, to no surprise, were under persecution from the powers to be who were striving to build their own kingdom in the city. Jesus encourages the faithful to stay strong in the faith amidst the persecution they will suffer. (He speaks from experience.). Even if they should suffer the ultimate stage of persecution, death, they should remain strong because in so doing, they will receive the crown of life at the second death. (Again, He speaks from experience.)
In these days of hardship, everyone is seeking ‘salvation’ from the struggles in whatever or whomever claims they can provide it. In a time of uncertainty, there will be false messiahs seeking to gain a following and when people are not grounded well, they will follow anything/anyone who dangles an attractive way before them. May I be like the faithful brothers & sisters in Smyrna our LORD encouraged to stay strong in the faith no matter how difficult it gets. Advent will provide me with ‘a good workout’ to maintain spiritual strength for the unknown road ahead. Though that may sound ominous, the road ahead is only known by the Good Shepherd and that is why we follow Him.
Be blessed, JC family! With love, Bob
Blessings Brother Bob, and JC Family,
Delete...the road ahead is only known by the Good Shepherd and that is why we follow Him...
I am encouraged and thankful to Jesus for giving us His Footsteps to follow. For I know my footsteps will then become sure as I walk along the Path He has traced without seeking to understand His Guidance. Plus, underneath me are His Everlasting Arms! What more could I want?
Thank you Bob. Very inspiring. God bless you.
DeleteThank you Bob - always powerful and blessed messages. They help me. KS

Every time we go back and reflect on the important work of Jesus, we are showing gratitude and thankfulness to God for His faithfulness. No matter what goes on in our lives, we serve a loving God! So we have to do our part and keep the faith like our brothers and sisters in Smyrna, just as you said Bob!
DeleteGod bless you for taking us back!

Love this, Bob. Thank you!!!

✝️ FROM 1 THESSALONIANS 1
We know that God has chosen you, dear brethren, much beloved of God.
π THANKSGIVING PRAYER FOR US:
Dear Heavenly Father God, Thank You for choosing us and giving us only two greatest commandments to follow and designing them to cover all the other commandments! I guess You knew it would take us a lifetime to try to get through the pair. This is the first and greatest commandment. “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.’
The second most important is similar: ‘Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.’ Keep only these two and you will find that you are obeying all the others.” But wait, there's more?
Much, much easier said than done! Only in You can we ever hope to achieve Your greatest commandments because You came for those who are imperfect and weak; and that would be all of us. We need You Jesus. How do we become at peace with loving ourself, so we can love others as ourself, yet steer clear of being self centered? Where are the boundary lines? For starters, would You help us lovingly focus on our and others' positive gifts? Would You help us chase after and pursue Your Peace and pass peace on to others? And when we trip and fall in our hot pursuit of Your Peace, would You pick us up, dust us off, and get us back in the Peace race? Would You make us more grateful for Your running strength in us, than in our trip and fall weakness, and then in turn, lovingly focus us on Your Strengths in others? Would You remind us of the love respect and value You have for each of us and then help us see ourself and others the same way You see us? Can You help us experience Your love and peace within, knowing it is always there because we are all wonderfully and individually made by You?
In Jesus' Name I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. Amen
Amen Brie. Hallelujah. God bless you.
DeleteThank you Brie - Your thankfulness shines! KS

DeleteSweet Janet, Amen.
DeleteEvery day, you are going forward with the Lord. Don't look back because it's already gone. Each new step now is towards righteousness and the spirit. He is leading you by your pretty Hand, and He is proud of your walk as you trust in Him, stay in His presence and open yourself to receive His peace, love, joy, favor, strength and goodness. Much love and admiration.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you that you are in control of all the outcomes of my life. I trust Your sovereignty, Your judgment, Your goodness, and Your unfailing love. I choose to abandon all worry and fear to You. I know that when I come to You with all my unanswered questions and with the burden of what I don’t understand, and listen to Your promise, “You will give me rest for my soul.” Thank You Father. This is my prayer, in Jesus’s name. Amen.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”
As believers and followers of Christ, we have to give up our right to take ownership of the outcomes of things done to us and pray about everything, leaving all the outcomes to God. Sometimes the results God is accomplishing are difficult for us to see or understand, but this should by no means discourage us from trusting those results to Him, knowing that He is accomplishing them. Let’s be reminded that faith isn’t sight, our trust is in God, not in what we can see or not see. Our faith requires us to do all that He calls us to do and leave the rest to Him. We must trust that God is able to do what He will. He is also wise to do what is best for us, and good according to His promise, if we love Him, and serve Him. We must submit entirely with satisfaction and depend on Him to accomplish all things for us, and not lean to our own understanding. Why? Because no forecast of our own, will come through for us without God’s Help. When we let go of our need to control the outcomes in our lives and follow God wherever He leads, we are freed from the worry and anxiety that accompany our desire to prove ourselves.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Blessings and Peace.

Blessings and Prayers...
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, JC Family. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, here in Ohio and I'm thankful for all of God's many blessings. Praying for each of you this lovely day and that we all, " Enjoy the rhythm of life lived close to" our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bob, I've enjoyed your Advent sharings and look forward to reading them. Audra, I combed the pages of the last few days and still never saw the update, but I'm so glad to hear that all is well with each of you I've been praying for. I miss our MadFox and my hubby and I continue to keep him in our daily prayers, trusting that the Father knows exactly what he needs.
ReplyDeleteLove and Blessings - I will read through out the day. Know that your prayers are mine!
p.s. And Happy Belated Birthday to your dear hub, Brie! :)
That's such a beautiful phrase "Enjoy the rhythm of life lived close to" our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The 'Message' refers to"The rhythms of Grace". Also fond memories of Ohio ( Erlanger, Cincinnati, living and working there at the Toyota Lab)
DeleteEnjoy your new day, dear Norah. Praying with you for MadFox and your good husband and for your weaknesses too. Be blessed and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteWhile I was shopping I was blessed by meeting a young mother with 2 very friendly children in her buggy. I commented on the very tiny little girl and handsome 5 year old young boy. She said she gave birth to the tiny girl when she was 5 months pregnant and the baby weighed one pound. She is now 2 years old. I said "You are very blessed." She agreed and said she had another 12 year old at home, and was having a hard time - going through a divorce. I mentioned one of my devotions this morning was on divorce, and told her where to find it and said "I will pray for you." She said her name was Mary Beth and asked my name and said "Maybe I should start praying." Please pray for Mary Beth, her soon to be ex-husband and her precious children. God knows who they are.
ReplyDeleteNot happen stance!!! A DIVINE APPOINTMENT!! Thank You Lord for the opportunity to pray for a needy family.
DeleteSassyMom, praying for Mary Beth & her situation. Love those "devine appointments".
DeleteGot Mary Beth and her children under our Holy Spirit's Prayer Comforter, Sassy Mom. Thanks for continuing Our Lord's Work here on earth! Amen.
DeletePraying for Mary Beth and her family. She has a lot on her plate. But God has already blessed her by caring for her baby born prematurely. She has already seen His faithfulness. Praying she will pray now with a sincere heart of faith, hope and thanksgiving. May God smooth out the rough spots in her life and improve the relationship between her and her husband. A divorce is a hardship and she must stay very close to the Lord.
DeletePraying for Mary Beth and her family 1 year later. Lord you know where this precious family is right now. Lord please try them to you and give them all that they need. Lord only you know what's best for them. Lord you know if Mary Beth did start praying and seeking you. Lord if she hasn't turned to you please remind her of her conversation with Sassy Mom and draw her to you. Thank you dear heavenly Father!
DeleteAmen Terri, Praying with you. And for you and Noah and Brie's Larry.
DeleteI still Mary Beth and her loved ones in my prayers and hope they have seen God's faithfulness and now have a renewed strength of faith to carry them through life's ups and downs.
An evening prayer for Mary Beth π she must be a tired mom who could use the power of prayer to lift her up in these trying times. Good thing the enemy can't swim!!!!
ReplyDeleteAmen dear Audra. I'm sure she needs our prayers.
DeleteFather God, surround Mary Beth and her precious children with your peace, guide their steps, lead them to security, fulfillment and love. Thank You Jesus.
Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2). For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11). For it is God Who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13). For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in His steps. (1 Peter 2:21). If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25). Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you." (Genesis 12:1).
ReplyDeleteAmen, Amen and Amen! Wonderful scripture today sweet Janet.
ReplyDeleteStill am thinking of these too:
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living!
Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!
Praise God for His loving kindness and tender mercies. If anyone has not heard. I got the real results from my Covid test. Negative! Thank You Lord for more victories and answered prayers! Halleluia!
Hallelujah! Another victory in Christ Jesus! Amen. God bless.
DeleteDear Jeanne, I too love that scripture, although we all know the struggle with waiting don't we? I just sent it to son #1, he is still waiting on the Lord for a job. He was let go from the last one because of the vaccine mandate. God is faithful, we are trusting Him.
DeleteI knew it!!! Yes. Rejoicing with you Jeanne!
DeleteJan G, praying for your son and God's perfect timing. God knows and provides. Praying all your son's needs are met and that this next job exceeds his expectations, especially in leadership and guiding of your son.
Heavenly Father, thank You for leading and guiding me through it all. Please forgive me for wanting to figure out where it is all going and for worrying about what is happening or what is going to happen or what I will do, etc. I am so sorry. I give my burdens to You daily, but I am REALLY picking them back up along the way as my day goes on. Help me to GIVE them to You and to LEAVE them with You. Help me to not pick anything back up after I give it to You. Help me to shed this whatever it is from me and turn my "adventure mode" on inside of me, and let us walk together along this life adventure. Let me not have to think about where things are going and what will or won't be. Keep my thoughts, mind, heart, and spirit focused on You and Your presence and not on anything else. You will always guide me and be with me. Your promises are true and You are faithful. I praise You Lord always. Thank You Jesus. You are my everything Lord. I can't do anything apart from You. Thank You for all You are and all You do. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
ReplyDeleteWe can't do anything without Him, but with Him all things are possible. May He continue to guide you to trust in Him above all other things. We all need Jesus to remind us to stay in His presence and peace at all times. Remember His light is always shining in the darkest night and it is greater. He is greater than anything in this world.
ReplyDeleteLeaving for Brooklyn in the morning to spend the weekend with my good Mom. But I have quite a few things I need to accomplish before then. I know the Lord is my strength and my Way Maker. I can do all things.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you all dear family. I'll be praying for you. Much love.
So thankful to hear both you and hub tested NEGATIVE. Yes God! Yes God! Yes! Yes! God!

DeleteJumping on the traveling mercy prayer train for you, Jeanne! Enjoy time with your sweet mom! I am trying hard to practice to lean on, talk to and trust God when I start to feel my anxious-mind-racing thoughts. With God ALL IS SO POSSIBLE, Jeanne, for you to get done what needs doing! Be well and blessed, sister!
DeleteIn JOY your weekend with your m, and safe travels!
DeleteThank you so much dr all your prayers Brie, Jan, Jan, Nancy, Audra and Rich! God heard them all and I’m safe, blessed and having a nice time with my good Mom. We prayed together and watched movies together. God is so good!
DeleteGreat news Brie! Praise the Lord!! Beautiful thoughts and prayers Jeanne and Janet! I needed to hear this this morning as I have a appointment this afternoon for possible major dental work. Praying that all goes positively. And I am transitioning to an off season without work. That is a bit scary…. If I do it alone. But all things are possible with God. As I observed the lunar eclipse this morning I was in awe of the power of the creator of it all, our God who loves us so much. What a big, omnipotent God we have. I felt great comfort in that and reading this devotional today. Blessings familyπ
ReplyDeleteBeen down that road Rich. Certainly will be praying for youππ
DeleteOur Dear Brothwr Friend in Christ, Rich C. I Prayed for your visit and His Care while you were in the Dentist's Prayer Chair.

DeleteAmen! π Adventures on the King's Highway
ReplyDeleteAs I was driving down the highway yesterday, I received a call from my youngest daughter. She was scheduled for a Dr. Appointment and said he is 8 14oz. I asked if they had scheduled a day to induce labor as she was already a week overdue. She said, "dad, I already had him." I didn't even know, nor her mother, that she had gone to the hospital!
ReplyDeleteAll went amazingly well and I have a hew tittle, Grandpa Keith :-)
What a great outcome! take time to refresh in His Presence with tour new Grandson. May you always enjoy the rhythm and circle of life lived close to Him.

DeleteA new baby boy in your family! A treasure to cherish. God bless your whole family! God is so good! May He strengthen, protect and bless your grandson, his parents and you and your family! The best is yet to come! Thank You Jesus!!
As I look above I see where I commented something in 2018 that has been removed by the author. It makes me wonder what it was and did I say something wrong to offend someone. For the past couple of days my mind has drifted back on past sins and I have compared myself to others thinking my sins are so much worse than theirs. Then, I come here and see that and feel worse. I have really great days where I walk in victory and then I have moments or days where I don’t. This morning and yesterday I have reminded myself that God remembers my sins no more. His ways are not my ways his thoughts are not my thoughts. Stand strong in the power of HIS might. Father, thank-You for Your grace sometimes we just need a tangible touch of Your unconditional love like I do today. I do get up thankful and grateful for all of my blessings….Prayers appreciated. ♥️
ReplyDeleteWho knows why something is "removed" from a site. Could be intentional, could be a technology thing, a mistake etc..
DeleteSharon, you ARE God's beloved child! Do not let these thoughts consume your mind. Unfortunately, spiritual warfare is alive and well in our world. When your sins are forgiven they are GONE...FOREVER. As righteous people we fall 7x's a day (some of us much more!). God forgives-each and every time, we move forward always closer to Him, our Savior. Praying for you. Amen
Sharon, I can so understand this. I JUST came across the following note in my phone while searching for something else. I believe God meant me to "just come across" it by "accident"...
Delete"When darkness overtakes the righteous, light will come bursting in!" Psalm 112:4
According to your faith, it'll be done unto you!
Faith activates God. Fear (unworthiness, etc) activates the enemy.
Praying for you, sister, as we join together knowing "God remembers my sins no more"!
Good Mornimg Glory, Sharon and JC Family! No worries. We can be encouraged based on John 16. God's Holy Spirit has come because Jesus sent Him to us. He will convince us of the availability of God's Goodness and of deliverance from judgment. All we have to do is believe Him.
DeleteWe are forgiven into a recreated relationship and into identification with God in Christ. God turns us into the standard of Himself, by putting into us, the disposition of Jesus Christ.
With Him as our Guide and Companion, we can live in the now, concentrating on staying in step with Him. He understands falls and will pick us up everytime. Dear Heavenly Father God, Would you help us to be encouraged and allow You to control all outcomes? In Jesus' Name I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. I yield. Amen. Love you sweet sister friend in Christ.
Praying for you.
DeleteYou are worthy!
Dear Sharon, We are all sinners and have been forgiven of many sins which we wish we had not committed. But God in His mercy has truly forgiven us and forgotten them. If He can forgive them we must forgive ourselves. Leave them behind you and walk forward from this day with a lighter load. Only when we can do this will we be able to truly serve Him. We can’t do His will if we continue to carry the heavy burden of sins God has already forgiven. You are deeply loved as a beloved daughter.
DeleteAmen sweet Brie! Our dear sister Sharon is worthy and loved.
Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Thanks everyone!! I feel better already! ♥️♥️ππ

ReplyDeleteHere is my response to Janet's prayer:
Praying your prayer with, and for you, (((Janet))) (((Sassy Mom))) (((TERRI))) and our entire (((JCFamily)))
Amen and Amen! Such a beautiful prayer dear Janet, Praying with Brie for you and with you. Praying for your comfort during these holidays dear Sassy Mom and Terri and all our family who have lost loved ones.
DeleteAlso praying for dear Fern's brother Tom who will soon be having eye surgery. Be not afraid. God goes before you always.
Thank You Father for guiding the doctor's hands perfectly to resolve Tony's problem and bring him back to perfect health. Stay right by his side and bring him peace through the surgery and a complete recovery. Thank You for this and for answering all our prayers in the Name of Christ Jesus, our Risen Lord. Amen.
Joining in prayers with you Jeanne. May all these prayer requests, and all unspoken, be brought to Your throne of mercy and grace Lord. You know what each one of us needs, better than we do. Please let Your will be done and Your loving presence felt in all our lives. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen π.
DeleteAmen! Waiting on the Lord with thanksgiving and a believing heart that God is already at work answering our prayers because He is so faithful and good. Hallelujah!
DeleteJeanne - "Praying for your comfort during these holidays dear Sassy Mom and Terri and all our family who have lost loved ones." I receive your prayers of healing for my broken heart. Praying for you as you pray for me.
DeletePlease also pray for my middle son, Greg and his family, Greg and Mayra's friend's father passed away from a long bout with cancer. The family members were relieved that God in His mercy took him out of his pain and misery. Greg and Mayra went to pay their respects for 2 days at the shiva. They just found out that the mother and the sister just tested positive for Covid. As you know last week I told you that Greg and Mayra's 1 year old baby tested positive for RSV and Greg had a bad cold and cough and went to the Dr who told him to test for Covid which came out negative, but the Dr never tested him for RSV. Mayra wasn't feeling well a couple of days ago and I brought her chicken soup. But I didn't go in because I can't get sick. Now I'm so concerned about Mayra, Greg, Gabriel and Nathaniel. Putting it all in God's Hands. Trusting that He will keep my dear ones in good health. Already baby Nathaniel sounds like he has a smoker's cough. Covid on top of that would be terrible. Also my oldest son Bryan and his Wife Allie are flying in on 11/20 with their baby to move into their new home in CT. So many prayers to be answered. God knows that I am waiting on His faithfulness to heal my family and make Bryan's move smooth. I'm meeting with my eye surgeon Monday so I could use some prayers. God already has given me so much peace and assurance that He is guiding everything. I will just continue to rest in Him. Thank You Jesus!
ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father, thank You for Your continued faithfulness to all of us. Your healing hands are needed for Jeanne and her family members Lord. Please place them upon them and remove the afflictions from all. Renew their strength and let Your perfect peace and love be poured out unto them. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen π. God bless.
DeleteEchoing your prayers for our beloved Jeanne and her family members.
DeleteJoining JC Prayer Warriors for our Sister Jeanne and her loved ones to Jehovah Rapha the great physician.
DeleteJoining in prayer for all of the above. In Jesus' Nane. Amen.
DeleteReposting prayers for all of the above to feel God's Arms encircling them in His Care and His Comfort. In Jesus' Name. AMEN.
DeleteThank you dear sister!! Your prayer blesses my weary heart. Praying always for you, dear one. Let us rest together in Him Who cares for us.
DeleteI say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the last of the flesh. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16, 25). For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13).
ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father, thank You. I praise You Lord always. You are so amazing and wonderful. I can't thank You enough. You deserve so much more than I can ever give You. I am so grateful for Your hard upon me and my life Lord. Please continue to guide and direct me along the way of Your will for me. Your will and way is perfect. I couldn't ask for a better Father than You Lord. You are the best. There is no one better. You are God Almighty. Please take all my burdens that I'm laying at Your feet and help me to not think about how You are going to "do" things in my life. Help me to stay in the present in Your loving presence Lord. Let Your glory shine bright Lord. May those that do not know You have a desire to seek You. I am so glad I know You Lord. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen π.
ReplyDeleteWhen you leave room for God, you rest more fully in Him to solve the problem instead of struggling to answer your own prayer. God's timing is precise.
Thank you dear Janet, Jeanne & Brie.
ReplyDeleteAs I awake here in Texas, it's such a blessing to read your sharing of the word, encouragements & love greetings. It's rainy here this morning. Hubby is up making coffee, I in bed praying, reading posts, gearing up to grandgirls waking up, no more school until after Thanksgiving, DIL is off duty from ER challenges from the children's hospital, Son#2 is just happy to make us as comfortable as possible & planning some activities. It's been delightful reconnecting with DIL'S parents, lots of laughter & joy all around. Thank You Lord for the blessing of family. Thank you for my JC family. Much love to each of you. πππ
