Jesus Calling: November 2

Grow strong in the Light of My Presence. Your weakness does not repel Me. On the contrary, it attracts My Power, which is always available to flow into a yielded heart. Do not condemn yourself for your constant need of help. Instead, come to Me with your gaping neediness; let the Light of My Love fill you.
     A yielded heart does not whine or rebel when the going gets rough. It masters the courage to thank Me even during hard times. It musters the courage to thank Me even during hard times. Yielding yourself to My will is ultimately an act of trust. In quietness and trust is your strength.

Psalm 116:5-7
English Standard Version
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
    our God is merciful.
The Lord preserves the simple;
    when I was brought low, he saved me.
Return, O my soul, to your rest;
    for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

Ephesians 5:20
English Standard Version
giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Isaiah 30:15
English Standard Version
For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel,
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
    in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
But you were unwilling

Prayer
Lord, on this day I want to do things Your way. Lord, train me to embrace your will during the hard times. Generally, I get mad, sad, then glad. Help me through those moments so that my trust shall be my strength. You are fair and you deal bountifully with me. I give thank always for everything.

Prayer Update - 2021
Today my wife and I celebrate 30 years of being married. Lord, I am so thankful for my still beautiful and wonderful wife Pamela and the wonderful gift she has been to me. Thank you for her beautiful smile, her wonderful child-like approach to life, and the way she helps me see the joy of life and all that you have created. You are my refuge God and yet each day with her is also a refuge for the troubles of each day. You use her to remind me how much we need each other each day. Even as trials have hit us at various times, we go at it together. We are better together. You talk to me daily through your Words and I'm so thankful for this and I love to sit and talk with her. On this day I say once again Lord, thank you.

  1. Prayers please as I am sad and mad. My husband has an affair two years ago. We have prayed and been in individual and couples therapy. However I still have flashbacks and it feels like PTSD. I want my marriage to work and my kids to be happy. So giving thanks regardless. And so thankful for this blog. God bless you all

    1. Praying for you and your family. Something I've learned with ptsd is to channel the flashbacks. When they come, as soon as you notice it, re channel your mind on Christ, hymns, scripture, talk yourself thru those out loud if need be; if you need to also openly and loudly rebuke the devil for bringing up the past.

    2. Prayers to you all. Try and move forward and leave the past behind. we all make mistakes. Forgive.

    3. First, I pray comfort for the deep that you are feeling. I went through this also and the pain seems unbearable, but there is true healing available in Jesus. So when the pain and hurt came up again for me, I offered it to God as a sacrifice of praise as broken as I felt, I literally lifted my hands and imagined God consuming that pain in the fire of His love and righteousness. I also remembered how very much I also needed forgivenesa for my wrongs and that both mine and my husband's sins are covered under the blood of Jesus. When Satan would remind me of it I would literally out loud say " That's covered under the blood." Not passing over it, acknowledge it, but lift it right back up to God and say this is covered under the blood of Jesus.

    4. Praying for you, my friend. And adding my voice to the chorus. Forgiveness IS possible. God’s grace and healing can reach even to our deepest hurt. Please don’t bury your feelings inside, bury them at the cross! That’s where restoration happens. Don’t ignore or focus on forgetting- focus on submitting every feeling to Jesus as you feel it, and speaking life over your marriage and your husband. Get counseling if you need to, but don’t give up! I am praying that you will experience His peace which passes all understanding, and be filled with His fullness of joy, even in the midst of a storm. That’s not Christian jargon; that is truth. And I know you can get there, because I’ve gone through similar- and been set free of bitterness and unforgiveness. Hold fast to His promises, for He who promised us is faithful.

    9. Serenity Prayer

      God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.

      Lord, I pray for all the marriages that are struggling. Give them what they need, Father God, to heal the hurt and overcome. Give them hearts that are full of forgiveness as You forgive us. Give them hearts full of love as You love us unconditionally. Help them to remember why they fell in love in the beginning and to hold onto that feeling. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

  2. Praying for you now. I am 30 and just got out of the hospital from a heart attack and stroke and fear the same has happened to me. My wife relapsed on drugs and left me and was with a guy a know all day while I was in a hospital bed and didn’t know if I’d live or die. I understand your brokenness. But like today’s reading says. Our weaknesses and brokenness does not repel our God it only brings him closer. Use this as an opportunity to rely on the only on who will never hurt us or turn his back on us. When you wake up in the middle of the night with that dagger in ur chest and can’t breath. When you are alone and start crying for now reason because you just want nothing more than for your spouse to come hug you and tell you they love you and want nothing more than you. Our father will be there. Always. Keep praying. I’m praying for you too. You’re not alone.

  6. My prayer for you "Trusting the Lord " is that the Lord brings you back to this blog to reread the wisdom and love your brothers and sisters are pouring out to you. I was listening to " Laugh your way through a better marriage" I was on the very last video and my thoughts turned to you. God desires healing in you. Please watch these videos you can find them on YouTube. The last segment is titled "How to stay married and not kill each other". I have been praying for you since I read your post, so please know your not alone in this you are surrounded by family but more important you have the Holy Spirit in you to guide and comfort you. Praying for complet restoration and a renewed commitment to each other in your marriage.

  7. Praying comforting prayers for the pain and suffering mentioned in 2018. May you feel the presence of HIS love and experience the peace that passes all understanding. In all things give thanks.

  8. What wonderful words of encouragement. The very things that I dislike the most about myself are no surprise to my Heavenly Father and yet, He still loved me enough to give his only begotten Son. Such heartfelt prayers on here from a year ago and Sassy Mom (& all of our brothers & sisters in Christ praying ageless prayers) I join you in believing and commitment to pray without ceasing.
    I also ask for prayers for my dear friend's sister who is battling cancer. We often have coffee in the early weekend hours and she just told me that her sister is back in the hospital and not doing well. I texted her that I was praying for the peace that passes all understanding...before I had read all of these prayers. Our God is a mighty God and I have been reminded all week in a teaching that I've listened to that not one of us can change even a cubit to our stature by being anxious. It does nothing but dastardly things to us. Yet God understands our frailty and JC continues to encourage us to not hate ourselves for it but to remember that is when we recognize that we need Him the most.
    Dear Lord, continue to comfort and bless us as we come to you. I thank you for a productive day, in spite of 4 hours of sleep and that I will rest when I need to and keep plugging when you encourage me.
    I found it interesting to read about PTSD as I hear it often in my casework and know it is real, yet certainly not stronger than the God in Christ in us. I know I have dealt with it due to the care giving through my husband's illnesses and yet he is the reminder to me daily, of what happens when we trust in the Lord with all of our hearts. Thank you for the practical tips on replacing those shipwrecking memories of fear, doubt & worry. I'm listening for the little birds who don't worry or fret over what they will eat or what they will drink. How much more will our Heavenly Father do for us (in spite of our little believing)?
    Blessings and Love to each of you as you go about your day. I will be praying in the Spirit for each of you.

    1. Norah, thank you so much for this beautiful message. Yours words and today’s reading were just what I needed to get me through this day. God is good. So good, He sent His one and only son to suffer and die on the cross that we may be forgiven. What a beautiful reminder to show gratitude, even through our sorrow. I’m praying for your friend’s sister’s illness to be healed and that she may be guarded by the feathers of Christ. In that peace’s that transcends understanding. I, too, will look to the way of the birds today. Have a blessed day all!

    1. Hi Juanett- I’m glad you are reaching out to God for answers right now. God loves you and we love you and we understand the struggle you are having. You mention being close to God and now feeling far. God sounds like he is bringing you back right now to the joy of making Him number one in your life. So let me remind you of that joy. Psalm 73:26 says, "My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." - In any situation in our life - losing our keys - struggling at a job - dealing with an illness - difficulty in a relationship - God wants to guide and direct you but we must surrender to Him. God wants you to know that He loves you. The Bible says that sin separates us from God. To sin is to miss the mark or target. Sin is actually an archery term. When you shoot an arrow and hit anything but the bullseye, you yell "sin." One of the 10 commandments says, "You will not lie." All of us have told a lie at one time in our life. When we lie, we sin. The bible says that "all have sinned (Romans 3:23).” No one is perfect. So can you admit that you are a sinner? God sent Jesus to die for all sin. That was the reason he went to the cross - to die for all sin. But we all have a choice - to accept or reject this. When you agree with God that you are a sinner and You believe that Jesus takes away your sin then you are saying I want to repent. Repent is like you are traveling in one direction in life - and you turn and go the opposite way. When you admit you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died for sin, and then say Jesus “I want you above all” then the Spirit of God comes into your life and changes everything about you - this is surrendering to God. Have you been following what is going on in the life of Kanye West? He has surrendered to God and the Spirit is now living inside of Him and changing everything - changing his music, his lyrics, the way he thinks, what he values, his time with his kids, how he sees his wife - God is changing him and the Spirit is living in Him because he saw that Jesus died for his sin - that Jesus is King. You can do the same. It doesn’t mean all of our problems will go away. God is not Santa Claus or a genie where we tell him what we want and he will grant our wishes. No God wants us to surrender to Him and help us accept what He provides. Let’s pray - Father God - I pray Juanett will see you as you really are. Thank you for dying for us. We want to turn from what we think we know is best and surrender to you and let you take charge of our life. Help Juanett to look to you for everything in life and make you number one. God you are great and right now bring your comfort to Juanett. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Grace and peace to you.

  12. Jaunett- first, no one here is going to judge you. Second, go back to that relationship you had with Jesus. He loves you unconditionally & is waiting for you with open arms that shields you from the onslaught of the enemy. Pour out to Him all the trials & troubles you are going through. He IS the way, the truth & the life. Third, read His word daily, it will not fail to show you His will & good purpose for your life. I will be holding you up in prayer. 18. Loving Father, Thank You for the dawn of this new day and for blessing me to see You in it. My desire to grow strong in Your Presence is one of deep intimacy that I cherish because it is a place of knowing You and being fully known by You. It is a place of righteousness through Jesus my Lord, that I am truly right with You. Thank You for the grace that makes it all possible and thank You for all that You have already prepared to take place in my Life. I trust You. In Jesus name, amen.

    “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:18 ).

    An example of a person that grew strong in the Lord is King David. He had a strong spirit. In 2 Samuel 22:30 he declared, “For by Thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall." Though David experienced many challenges that occur for years, He never give up or accepted defeat. He always pressed for victory. He knew WHO he belonged to and WHO was with him. Like King David, God is urging us to develop the capacity to trust Him with everything (Mark 9:23) and grow strong ‘in the Light of His Presence.’ Growing in the strength of the Lord, sustains us through all kinds of trouble. A strong spirit is steady under pressure, it is full of joy, peace and will not quit. Growing strong in the God’s spirit will carry us through anything and whatever else satan throws our way. Being strong in the His Presence also brings us real joy and satisfaction and recues us from our fears. But we have to do our part and stay strong in His Presence, create a space and find time to be alone with Him, walk in obedience to His will for us and feed on His Word etc.

    “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” (Ephesians 6:10 ).

    Blessings and Peace.

    1. Wonderful post, twin bd sis! You invite me to reflect on King David and the strong spirit he had. David was obviously very close in relationship with our Lord. Psalm 23 is not an intellectual trip but could only come from a heart of love with and for his Lord. With such a relationship, he could see our Lord in his victories which in turn gave him greater confidence in his faith. As the years go by, the list of times that God has saved me from whatever grows longer and longer. This (should) leads to greater confidence. Spending time remembering and giving thanks for past victories is very helpful in this process and certainly David did that evident in the psalms attributed to him. There is a lot that can be learned from a king. God be with you.

Help me today to stay strong in Your presence and to be a shining beacon of Your light and love to everyone I meet or speak to. Help me to produce good fruit for Your glory and to be a cheerful servant. When I get disracted, remind me to stay in Your sweet presence, grace and favor. Strengthen me, and lead me to use my gifts to glorify You. Thank You always for Your protection, love and peace that go with me through my days as I praise Your Holy Name. Amen.

    “A yielded heart does not whine or rebel. . . It musters the courage to thank Me even during hard times. Yielding yourself to My will is ultimately an act of trust. In quietness and trust is your strength.”

Prayers for our Country, and our freedom that is only available through God; that our Nation turns its eyes back to the one, true God; that our President remains strong and healthy and protected.
    So many things are on my heart and I loved reading that this time last year we were all reminding each other of the lilies and little birds who do not toil or worry, but know God will sustain them.
    Sharing this song with you...I love it when it gets stuck in my head. :)

    Teach us to number our days
    That we may apply our hearts to Your ways
    Teach us to number our days

    You've been our home and our dwelling
    Our place in all generations.
    Before the earth or the mountains were formed,
    Lord, You were God.
    Teach us to number our days
    That we may apply our hearts to Your ways

    Now the span of our lives,
    It is made of sorrow and labor

    How soon we are gone.
    Teach us to number our days
    That we may apply our hearts to Your ways

    **My dear sister in Christ, (who I meet with on Mondays along with our other dear Sister) is caring for her dear dad. He is in his 90's and Hospice has been called in. She is a lovely daughter and so caring and this morning was experiencing Vertigo. Keep her strong, Lord, as she cares for her dear dad. She and her son danced to Wisdom and Grace at the wedding last month. So sweet.
    Love and Blessings to each of you JC Family. Let's hold each other in prayer throughout this lovely day that the Lord has made!

    1. Thanks for the song (and the link), Norah. I had not heard that one before. Very powerful words put to music sinks deep into the heart and soul as is evident in that it is stirred up within you at this time. Praying for your hubby and the home God has blessed you with, may all things become ordered again to His glory and the both of your well beings. God be with you.

  22. Trusting you Lord is my strength. You give me wisdom, you give me strength, your very Spirit lives in me. You are my shield and defender, you are my all and all, you are the very breath I breathe. Thank you Lord for my car accident. Thank you for speaking into to slow down (I wasn't speeding, I had paused and turned when it wasn't my turn). Thank you Lord for showing me I need to slow down in my days. To schedule appointments better. To manage my time better. To take time to rest. To take time to tend to my family that doesn't involve the necessities but to enjoy them and dwell with them.
    I'm feeling better, healing from the accident. We still don't know if the car is going to be considered totalled or not. I've given myself a week off from all that I could. I still have 5 appointments for the kids this week (I cancelled what I could). Only two are out of the house, the others are phone or zoom. This is the life of a Mom-Gram with 3 special needs kids.
    I still have no desire to drive or be around people, but I know this will pass as God continues to heal me. Praying for this precious JC family. What an amazing blessing to be able to interced for you and to have you interceded for me and my family. With love, Terri

  24. Dear TERRI, Thanking God that you are healing in all ways from the accident. I have had accidents because I was in too much of a rush. One time I was rushing so much, I turned a corner and hit a sign post and tore off my sideview mirror. God teaches us that He is not the Author of confusion but of peace and control. I have learned to slow down and think before I act and speak. I don't always achieve but I am consciously making an effort. You are doing a wonderful job with those 3 special need kids. I'm giving you a big pat on the back because when I had my 3 little boys and I felt like I was doing everything, sometimes the only one who would ever give me a pat on the back was God. Take time today to rest. After all is said and done, put your pretty feet up and know that you are a faithful servant and you are loved. God bless your day, Dear!

  25. Jeanne thank you for your kind words. As I was reading over my post and your comment it hit me that I was able to make dinner and put the kids to bed on time without being cranky or overwhelmed. My desire is to be an obedient vessel that God uses to help heal the wounds that others have inflicted on these children. To teach them that they have a loving heavenly father that will never abandon them or mistreat them and that they can depend on him and trust him. Thank you for the scripture reference that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. A dear sweet lady would say this to me when I was younger and indecisive in making a decision and sticking with it. Jeanne I'm praying that God will make the crooked places straight as you overcome these new challenges. Giving you wisdom and clarity on what direction you need to go. God bless love Terri

  26. Showered, tired, after a LONG day and ended it tonight with my 2 Sisters in Christl So TIRED, but very thankful: Dear Hub was sent to the hospital for an Ultrasound - NO BLOOD CLOTS! Thank you, Jesus! Dear M, is saying good bye to her loving Father; dear JB is continuously taking care of the Elderly while saying a long good bye to her Hub with Alzheimers. Such heartache and such rejoicing, all at the same time.
    My Hub and I thank you for your prayers today. Too tired to share the whole thing in between CW calls, Air Vac and Ultrasound. We had to laugh at the end of the day...GOD IS SO GOOD! Hub is on antibiotics and I'm sure I'll be rubbing his leg at some point. Anything to get him/keep him well for this coming weekend's 'get-away,' to dance at our dear Lisa's wedding. I was there when she was born - I WILL dance at her wedding!!
    Arising at 5:30 - will be at the Poles by 6:30, with my healthy, happy HUB! Thank you, dear JC Fam for your prayers...it would be a whole different story without them~

  34. Today's Devotion reminds us that A yielded heart does not whine or rebel when the going gets rough. It masters the courage to thank Me even during hard times. Prayers requested JC Family for God's Holy Spirit to take this anger away from me. I whined and rebelled. Since it is not like Jesus, please please Holy Spirit, take whining, rebelling, and anger away from me. I missed the calm mark and got very angry on this past "ceiling fan" weekend. I am bringing my anger to the foot of the cross. Would you pray for me to The Lord Our God? In Jesus' Name, I thank you.

  35. And they sang together by course by praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because He is good, for His mercy endureth forever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the LORD was laid. (Ezra 3:11). I will extol the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. (Psalm 34:1-4). Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise -- the fruit of lips that openly profess His name. (Hebrews 13:15).

    Heavenly Father, thank You for always forgiving me and my weaknesses. I have many and I make many mistakes and wrong choices. Please forgive me for my shortness and wrong ways yesterday. I got frustrated and I felt it. I felt myself taking it out on You and I shouldn't have done that. I am so sorry for that. Forgive me Lord. You are always there for me and with me. I am so grateful for that and I praise You Lord always. I am so very thankful for Your Presence in my life and I don't ever want to take that for granted or to take my frustration out on You. I was wrong and I am so sorry. I wish I could take it back. It may have been only a moment in time, but that was a moment too much. You are the best thing that has ever been in my life and I don't want to offend You in any way, shape, or form. You are my saving grace and You give me everything. Thank You for being in my life. I can't do anything apart from You and I know that You are always working for my good (even when I can't see it). Thank You Jesus. I love and adore You Lord. You are the best Father ever. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

This first couple of hours here is going to be difficult, but I know that God is with me and He will be my eyes for me. He is my strength in all my weaknesses. Also, if you could pray for me and the situation I am in with my new roommate, Heather. I'm not exactly sure of what is going to happen today. I found out yesterday that her daughter's father is coming to our state today and I just paid her yesterday for my half of the rent, but I just found out that my name isn't on the room anymore. I'm not sure what happened and I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but it is a bit weird. 46. Today's Devotion reminds us, Your weakness does not repel Me. On the contrary, it attracts My Power, which is always available to flow into a yielded heart. Do not condemn yourself for your constant need of help. Instead, come to Me with your gaping neediness; let the Light of My Love fill you up. With that said,I am praying the Prayer of an Anonymous Abbess:
    Lord, thou knowest better than myself that I am growing older and will soon be old.
    Keep me from becoming too talkative, and especially from the unfortunate habit of thinking that I must say something on every subject and at every opportunity.
    Release me from the idea that I must straighten out other peoples' affairs.
    With my immense treasure of experience and wisdom, it seems a pity not to let everybody partake of it.
    But thou knowest, Lord, that in the end I will need a few friends.

    Keep me from the recital of endless details; give me wings to get to the point.
    Grant me the patience to listen to the complaints of others; help me to endure them with charity, while sealing my lips on my own aches and pains -- they increase with the increasing years and my inclination to recount them is also increasing.
    I will not ask thee for improved memory, only for a little more humility and less self-assurance when my own memory doesn't agree with that of others.
    Teach me the glorious lesson that occasionally I may be wrong.
    Keep me reasonably gentle. I do not have the ambition to become a saint -- it is so hard to live with some of them -- but a harsh old person is one of the devil's masterpieces.
    Make me sympathetic without being sentimental, helpful but not bossy.
    Let me discover merits where I had not expected them, and talents in people whom I had not thought to possess any. And, Lord, give me the grace to tell them so.
    In Jesus' Name.
    Amen

Help her to be strong enough to resist the urge and remind her that life and good health are more important than cigarettes. Thank You for holding her Hand so it doesn’t reach for a cigarette! Take away any cough and give her hope for a much healthier lifestyle. Thank You for this and for blessing every area of her life and leading her to love, fulfillment and self sufficiency in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen

    3. Father God, our sister Janet needs Your strength to throw this habit in the abyss! In Jesus name we ask that You give her that supernatural determination to protect her body, the temple of the Holy Spirit & cleanse it from the defilement of these cigarettes! Hallelujah! AMEN!🙏🙏🙏💞🌈

    4. Praying for you Janet, that God will help you release the habit and desire for a cigarette. May His peace cover you.

    5. After 20 plus years of cigarettes, I was released from the desire and the habit of smoking, through Nicotine Anonymous, a free 12 step program based on the same principles as AA.
      Praying for you to make it through this, Janet. Much Love, Brie

    6. Praying with you and for you, Janet. NJS, I did hear Joyce Meyers talk about this - SO many times! I could so relate. I quit for 15 years and (stupidly) picked it back up. I've quit/started/quit/started many times since. Brie helped me by recommended Nicotine Anon, but I haven't done it. I guess I just have to be ready to say, READY. START. QUIT! I know I can do it and I have several friends and family who are ready to also. When we ARE totally ready, we will make up our minds and do it. And it won't be that hard, because we'll be decided and determined, just like everything else we pray for. I know my time is coming soon - I'm just tired of it (the endless list of why I don't want to do it anymore). That list far out-weighs the reasons I do! Praying for you, Dear Sister!! YOU CAN DO IT!

  56. Meditating this morning on the verse "may the God of hope fill you...

    Doing some word play for a better understanding...

    May you be full of all Joy and Peace through believing, by the Source of Hope, that you may be fully supplied with hope, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

    Thinking on this while again hearing the words of the song; "I am, holding on to you..."

  60. Jeanne, wondering how your eye appt went. You remain in my prayers, Dear Sister. Also asking prayers for my son's co-worker: his little daughter, Natalie, his wife - that they are peaceful and get great results for Natalie.
    Baby Ezekiel is still doing well. I haven't gotten any specifics but the fact that he is alive is God's Promise.
    Please pray for my Brother in Law Chip tomorrow who has surgery to repair his colon from a bad diverticulitis attack in May. They had to remove part of his colon and tomorrow is the repair.
    Asking prayers for my DH's biopsy results which we'll get Friday or over the weekend on his GI issues. He has a Cardiology appt tomorrow and we believe it was the GI issues masking as Cardiac issues. The GI Dr. said today that everything was precautionary and he thinks the result of a Hiatal Hernia that he has probably had for years.
    Please continue prayers for Kendra, as she goes through her chemo and for our friend Lloyd, who is learning his next-steps in treatment.
    Sleep sweet, JC Family. It is so comforting to know we have each other and so many praying for each other. God keeps His promises!

    1. Unfortunately it did not go well. When I walked in I was bombarded by Ads and signs to get all these beauty treatments to get rid of wrinkles and for botox and to get cheek implants and it was very disconcerting. When I finally met the doctor, she was really young and wore a lot of make up and had long shiny metallic nails. I told her my problem and she was cold as ice to me. She told me she didn't like my body language. I looked down and I was just sitting without crossing my legs because I was wearing pants and I was holding my glasses. Then she said i'm getting a feeling that you don't want me as your doctor. I looked at her and said, I'm sure you're a wonderful doctor. Do you have a lot of experience with lumps in the tear gland. She said: "Some", but it sure wasn't reassuring to me. She said I'm board certified and I went to Medical School. God was saying GET OUT OF THERE. This is not going to be your surgeon.
      I said I will get a second opinion. She said she didn't think we were a good match. Well God told me that already. She gave me an order for a CAT Scan and for Lab work to determine if I had Myasthenia Gravis. Her diagnosis was simply Orbital Mass. Then she said you can come back in a month to discuss the reports. I said, this could be malignant, Why would you want to wait a whole month to see me. She said that's our routine here. She also gave me the name of a doctor I could go to for a second opinion. Well after I left that office without making another appointment I told God I'm trusting Him to guide me to who will make me better. I went home and called my primary doctor and made an appointment with him for tomorrow at 11. I trust him and he can refer me to another doctor.

    2. Dear Norah, I'm praying for your son's Co'worker and his family to get great results for Natalie. May she be healed completely. Also May God continue to heal Baby Ezekiel in all ways and bring peace to his family. Continuing to pray for Chip and may God guide the repair of his colon and bring him back to good health. And may He bless you with a benign result from your DH's biopsy, and also a good report from his Cardiologist appointment. Continuing to pray for Kendra's strength and healing and God to guide Lloyd to have a successful treatment. Thank You Jesus.

  61. Dental week is wrapping up. The teeth are out and repairs have begun. I was truly blessed to have the doctors and assistance that I did who are very understanding of my anxiety and my concerns. They were also very patient and caring with me.
    I have to give God the glory, as I had an unusual peace about being at the dentist, both days and to have had such wonderful people helping me. There is no doubt in my mind that your prayers certainly played a huge part in this. I am thankful and grateful, and may his power be made perfect in our weaknesses. To God be the glory. He is with us and will not leave us or forsake us. Hallelujah

    Even if it was a different scenario, you still have to believe that prayers get answered and He is an awesome God!

Lord, I pray for our country that we will have a revival and return to You. I pray for our children growing up in this craziness and ask You to provide us with the wisdom to be godly examples for them.

    I pray for my brother and his wife as they navigate this new life of cancer. I pray for strength and a sense of calm for them both. I pray for the doctors handling the treatment. I pray for their kids (middle school and college age).

    Thank you for letting me be close enough to my college son to be able to bring him home this week since he has C. Please keep the rest of our family from catching it. Please continue to heal him.

    Thank you Lord for all of our blessings. In your Son’s name I pray, amen.

    1. Dear Ellen -- You've got my prayers. Keep standing on the WORD like Isaiah 5417 "No weapon formed against you shall succeed,,," and keep Declaring and Decreeing the WORD. Here are others to stand on: James4:7, Psalm 91:1-16,
      Isaiah 54:1-17, 1 John 4:4, Romans 8:28-39, Rev.12:10, Psalm 23:1-6, 1 Peter 5:7. There are many more. It is EXTREMELY important to encourage yourself in the WORD and go over the successes the Lord has brought to your life. This is what David did right before THE GIANT FELL BEFORE HIM. The stone that hit Goliath was God driven and He will will drive the stones into your Giants as well. He is no respecter of persons. And our God is ABSOLUTELY GOOD!!! HE IS OUR WAY MAKER!!!
      HALLELUJAH!!!

      Psalm 9:9-10

      a stronghold in times of trouble.
      And those who know your name put their trust in you,
      for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.

      Psalm 18:6
      In my distress I called upon the LORD;
      to my God I cried for help.
      From his temple he heard my voice,
      and my cry to him reached his ears.

      Psalm 50:15
      and call upon me in the day of trouble;
      I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

      Psalm 55:22
      Cast your burden on the LORD,
      and he will sustain you;
