Jesus Calling: October 8

I Love you with an everlasting Love. The human mind cannot comprehend My constancy. Your emotions flicker and falter in the face of varying circumstances, and you tend to project your fickle feelings onto Me. Thus, you do not benefit fully from My unfailing Love.
You need to look beyond the flux of circumstances and discover Me gazing lovingly back at you. This awareness of My Presence strengthens you, as you receive and respond to My Love. I am the same yesterday, today, and forever! Let My Love flow into you continually. Your need for Me is as constant as the outflow of My Love to you.
Jeremiah 31:3
English Standard Version

the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Exodus 15:13
English Standard Version

You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed;
you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode.

Hebrews 13:8
English Standard Version

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

  3. As I contemplate the thought of everlasting love, I realize that I do more to undermine appreciation for God’s love. I think of the many small irritations that I allow to enter into my heart as I go through the day, things that people do or things that occur and I let them bother me. I compound the issue when I express my displeasure now putting someone else in the same negative frame of mind that I am in. What really makes it worse is when I justify my feelings with a verse from scripture. In Luke 10:25-37, a scholar of the law asked Jesus, “what must I do to attain eternal life?” Wasn’t he seeking to grasp the concept from our reading for today? The passage ends with Jesus telling the parable of the Good Samaritan concluding with the admonition to go and show mercy to any and every person in need of mercy. If and when I do this, I then will begin to grasp God’s everlasting love for me.

    4. Bob, I too tend to judge others when they come into my mind and often see them in a negative way when I in my own imperfections have also fallen short of pleasing God. We must look outside of ourselves and understand that we are all flawed and we all need encouragement and the assurance that we are most profoundly loved by Him who created us.
Father, Guide us today to make at least one person happier, more peaceful and more secure in his or her faith. Thank you for this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ.

    7. JC Family, I often heard that the eye does not see itself, but only sees a reflection of itself in other people. And all of us are no better, no worse, but in many ways equal to all other people. HMM! Imagine that!
In His Kingdom, fault seems to be fault with no Phases or Degrees, hence, Let s/he who is without ANY sin, cast the first stone!
Once I spot someone else's fault, I try to think of a time I exhibited the same or similar fault. To date I've had a 100% match Ewww! Ouch!
I then imagine holding the other faulter's hand, and both of us slowly and contritely walking to the foot of the cross, kneeling down at Jesus' feet, bowing our heads until we are covered in His Blood. We humbly ask Him to remove our shortcomings and both of us receive HIS forgiveness.
And then we rise, skipping away still hand in hand, freely forgiven to go our separate ways and sin no more. Amen.
Since BOB has us singing today, the song, Margaritaville comes to mind:
      It's nobody's fault
      It could be my fault
      It is my own fault!
Lord forgive me, for I know not! Amen

  6. Good Morning, JC Family. I'm praying with all of you for mighty victories. That your husband is continuing to heal, Jan and that all family relationships are being strengthened. That Ernest is protected by you, Father and that he is able to rest in your arms as he heals.
Asking for prayers for our dear 91 yr old friend (the one who lost his wife of 70 yrs in June), is protected during his hip surgery this Thurs.
Praying for my case work and that the sadness I felt yesterday is lifted so I can be my best for each of them. Give me energy and strength, Father, and help me give them to You - whose everlasting love is far greater than mine. Praying for my friend's daughter whose cancer test was postponed until the 15th - use this time to heal her in the name of Jesus Christ. Protect the baby she is carrying and sustain her parent's energy as they help care for her other two. Wake up the father of her baby and let him see the responsibility he has and recognize the goodness of the family around him. Praying for my friend's husband who has dementia and for her ability to enjoy the time her daughter's have set up for her; that she knows you and the rest of the family will care for him while she is gone.
So many prayers, needs, concerns; help me step back all day and realize Your great love and that you never change. Let us cry, "VICTORY," and refuse defeat. Let us not grow weary in well doing, but constantly look to You for that unfailing love you have provided.

  10. TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR THE THINGS HE HAS DONE AND CONTINUES TO DO FOR EACH OF US!
I have had some wonderful days and some sad days over the past few months losing three special people to death really close to my heart in less than six months. I lost my best friend two weeks to the day when I was to renew my vows on my 40th wedding anniversary. God showed up and allowed me to get through the ceremony trusting him and not bringing sadness to the ninety plus guests that came to share with us! When HE said HE would never leave us nor forsake us, I saw the manifestation of that up close and personal! I am still praying for my grown children to turn back to the Lord and that my daughter battling with alcoholism will stay focused and sober as she cares for her eight month old daughter. She lives twelve hours away and we can't be there but GOD can! So many things on my mind but none that GOD can't handle! I will keep each of you in my prayers touching and agreeing with you and I thank you that you are already doing that for me and my family! I know because I feel the peace of it!!

The weapon may be formed, but it won't prosper
When the darkness falls, it won't prevail
'Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph
    My God will never fail
Oh, my God will never fail
    I'm gonna see a victory
    I'm gonna see a victory
For the battle belongs to You, Lord

There's power in the mighty name of Jesus
Every war He wages He will win
I'm not backing down from any giant
'Cause I know how this story ends
Yes, I know how this story ends

You take what the enemy meant for evil
And You turn it for good
    You turn it for good

  19. THOUGHTS ON INTIMACY WITH OUR LORD

I have made reference to it in the past, but let me reflect more specifically on it today, the use of singing in your devotional time.

Singing is a God-given gift to enhance our soul. Music has a power within itself to penetrate our heart more than words by themselves. Music has a power to retain thoughts greater than memorization does. Thus we should make singing a part of our time with our Lord. In seminary, I took a course entitled 'The Black Experience in the Church'. It was a good course but what I remember most is how the professor (a black man) began each and every class. He led us in singing several hymns. There was no accompaniment, he just sang a cappella and the class (primarily black folk and a few whites like me) heartily joined in. I remembered I was more reserved in my singing but I soon got past that and raised my voice with theirs. No one was listening to the quality of another's voice (as I was use to), they were singing to an audience of one, the Lord God Almighty and they sang at the top of their lungs. Ideally, our devotional time should be as private as possible and one of the reasons is because it enables us to be free to sing. In so doing, we further open up our soul to be focused on God and God's love for us, God's greatness and God's faithfulness, God's power and sovereignty over all; all the things the great hymns sing about. Singing sends all of that deep into our inner self where we truly want to encounter Him in our quiet time. My devotional time is outdoors and there is no one within hearing distance so I sing a hymn at the beginning of my time with Him (still not as loud as those who were in my class, but I'm working on it).

I will leave it to you to decide how to incorporate this into your devotional time. Hymn books/song books are excellent sources for devotional thoughts. You may want to have a hymnal/song book in your stack of devotional material. Just reading the words can be a source of inspiration but if they can be sung, it amplifies their impact. If you don't know the tune to a song, check the meter (CM, LM, 87.87, 76.76, etc.) and find a favorite tune you do know that has that meter and sing the words to that tune. (Ask your music director at your church to show you how to do that.) I am sure you have heard the expression, 'When you sing, you pray twice.' We pray to shape the heart, with music we can go even deeper. Give thought to including singing into your 'date' with our Lord for He is blessed in hearing you sing of your love for Him.

May you go your way this day with a song in your heart. God be with you. With love, Bob

Praying Luke 8 : 24 And they came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, Master, Master, we perish. And He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a great calm!

♥ 🎢🎢 ♥ Out on the waters storms raging high
The waters around them were troubled that night
Fear filled their heart they thought they would die
They failed to remember that The Master was nigh
He spoke three Words and the winds all stood still
Even the waters they obeyed His Will
He calmed their storms just like He will mine
If I just remember He loves me deep inside
CHORUS: So why should I worry why should I fear
When the very same Jesus He is always near
He lives in my heart and He hears when I cry
I'll call on His name til the storm passes by

And when trials come and death seems so nigh
I'll call on The Master I know He'll be here on time
And when sickness comes and my body is in pain
All I have to do is call on His Name
CHORUS: So why should I worry why should I fear

God gives me the words so He gets the glory.

Jesus, You mean everything to me.
Jesus, You gave your life to set us free.
Jesus, You’re forever in my heart,
And from Your love, I’ll never part.

Jesus, I know Your precious Words are true.
Jesus, You open up my eyes to see
Your saving light in front of me.

      Every day is better
      With You here by my side;
And even through the hard times,
      You strengthen me inside.
You lift me to a higher place
      When life’s dark storms prevail.
I stand upon the solid Rock.
You’re strong when I am frail.

Jesus, I give You all my thanks and praise.
Jesus, You bless me in so many ways.
Jesus, You are faithful and so good.
Help me to live, the way I should.

Jesus, You’re the greatest part of me.
Jesus, In Your grace, I want to be.
Jesus, You’re in my heart to understand
My every thought, my needs, my plan.

      Every day is better
      With You here by my side;
And even through the hard times,
      You strengthen me inside.

    8. If any of you really want to hear them, please send me a friend request (Jeanne Cashman), and I will accept. Then go to my page and go back in my History to when the videos start then you'll have to sift through the songs yourself. Most of them are from my Nursing Home Music Book. There are a lot of old good songs and romantic songs too. The Praise songs and original songs are among them. Seek and ye shall find. God gets the glory if I make you smile. As I said I recorded over a hundred songs to lift my friends and family when the Pandemic started. It did make people happy. God is good.

The apostle Paul testifies to its power in Romans 8:38-39 when he offered a list of things that are absolutely powerless to separate us from our Father’s Love: Death can’t separate us from God’s love and neither can life. Angels, principalities and powers are no match for His Love. Neither is anything in the present or anything in the future. Height, depth and any other created thing. Absolutely NOTHING!!!
Yes, we need Him ‘as constant as the overflow of His immeasurable LOVE’!

    Remain in the Father’s Love.

  28. FROM HEBREWS 13 Our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Your spiritual strength comes as a good, lovingkindness gift from The Lord!

    BEACH DEVOTION: MESSAGES IN SAND
FROM JOHN 8  NEITHER DO I CONDEMN YOU, GO NOW AND LEAVE YOUR LIFE OF SIN!

    MY PRAYER FOR US:
    Dear Heavenly Father God,
It's fun for us beachgoers to build sand castles and write messages in beach sand, even when we watch the ocean waves wash them away, leaving the sand completely smoothe.
When the woman caught in adultery was brought to You, what Words did You write or what images did You draw in the sand? And who read Your message before it was wiped away, leaving the space completely smoothe?
Would You help me behave more Thankfully to You for writing my sins and faults in sand? Where they would easily be washed away and erased? Leaving the ground completely smooth? And then, would You help me go and give Your Lovingkindness to everyone I meet making room inside of me to receive more?
On behalf of our JC Family, I ask. I seek. I knock. I thank in Jesus' Name. Amen.
I LOVE YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE. I HAVE CALLED YOU AND YOU ARE MINE. DISCOVER ME GAZING LOVINGLY AND KINDLY BACK AT YOU!  RECEIVE AND RESPOND TO MY LOVINGKINDNESS.

Heavenly Father you are creator of all heaven and earth. You alone are holy and mighty. You knew PEBGDesigns in her mother's womb. By your holy hand she was created. We bless you Lord for forming her in your likeness and sharing her with us. Lord my petition today is asking you to pour your blessings over PEBGDesigns. Lord you know her better than she knows herself. Go into those places where she holds hurts and pain and release her from them for her birthday. Lord your word says that you desire to give us the desire of our hearts. Please step into this hidden place where she keeps her earnest desires. Please Lord bless her with her desires this birthday. Lord your word says that you want us to prosper as our souls prospers. Lord dwell in the space where only your Holy Spirit can dwell prospering her soul to the fullness you desire for her and have it flow over into the other areas of her life. Father I ask these things on your daughters behalf as a birthday blessing. But Father in your holy sovereign way answer this prayer according to your will bless PEBGDesigns. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you Father in Jesus name amen

Thanks so much for your prayers for traveling safety and kind words. I had a blessed day with my good Mom. We got our flu shots, I made a big pot of chicken soup and we watched a Hallmark movie. She’s too thin but she’s a good woman of God, feisty and clear headed and she loves Jesus! I’ll be here till Sunday morning. I’m so thankful! God bless you all my dear brothers and sisters. 39. I posted a story yesterday about the faithfulness of God in answering my prayers and those of my Mom and sister and her family that my sister's daughter in law would conceive again after losing her second child a year and half ago. But it just didn't seem like her son and dear Stephanie could get pregnant. They were trying so very hard. They had so much trouble but we just kept praying. And in the last few months I kept feeling God telling me all would be well very soon. This feeling was total assurance and I wasn't worried anymore. I told my sister last week that she would soon hear from Stephanie that she was pregnant, And thanks be to God, Janet told me yesterday that they were having a baby girl. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord from Whom all Blessings Flow.

  40. Prayers for Erica please.
We selected Erica to help us care for Keith in our home. Praying she will be a GodSend! Praying her health and homelife will allow her to care for and about Keith . Praying to trust God, and to trust Him in this endeavor.
Dear Heavenly Father God, would You help me look beyond this flux of circumstances and discover You gazing lovingly back at me. Would You shut satan down and out when it tries to tell me not to exhale because the bubble could pop? Instead, would You focus my gaze on You, Whose love continually flows through me and Who said, I am the same yesterday, today, and forever! Thank You Lord. Amen.

    3. Thank you for the birthday wishes πŸŽ‚. I was away from home and in a training session all day, but the group included my husband and some good friends, who recognized my birthday with a cake, so it was a nice time. We then had dinner out with a couple we are close with. Very nice day. Finally getting around to responding to my JC family. Thanks again and God bless.

  43. Dear friends, an update from Ellen. It has been nearly a year since my brain surgery to remove a benign tumor and I am fully recovered! Thanks be to God. My daughter who has had colon cancer is back to teaching full time, with ongoing scans every few months. My son in law is recovering from a heart surgery and soon able to go back to work, and my husband has made a med change which we pray will reverse his leg neuropathy and weakness. God is So GOOD! I am back to my church prayer group and have invited church leaders in to the chapel for individual prayer. I feel restored by the Lord to do his work. thanks to each of you for being prayer warriors for God’s healing work in my family. I pray for all of you, as we are united in Christ to do His work. You are such a gift. Amen

  44. Good morning, so I need prayers for a sister in Christ. I have only meet her once in a gathering from saints from different areas, but me her and 5 of sisters are in a group test. We text everyday Bible verses, encouragement and positive things. Well sister Deborah is her name and she has cancer: she has had treatment after treatment. Well she was admitted to the hospital Thursday night and yesterday she said that the doctors can’t cure her. So is suppose to go home and have hospice come until she leaves us. They didn’t give her a time limit cause it could be in the next day or two. So I’m asking that everyone please pray for her family. She is not in any pain, she is at peace with God but I know it has to be so hard to know you will leave your family. I know she is married but not sure if she has kids. So just pray that God heals her. Cause I believe He will. Please also pray that she leaves this world in peace if it’s her time. Amen

    3. Father God, Deborah is in need of your miraculous healing power right now. She loves you faithfully and needs your help. We believe that in You all things are possible and nothing is too hard for You. Please lead your loving daughter to grab the hem of your garment and be immediately healed. Amaze her doctors and give her a new life so she can proclaim your good deeds and glorify You. We are praying together in gratitude and faith in the Name of Christ Jesus. Trusting in your promises and power to do this. Thank You Jesus. Amen

Pray for her unsaved loved ones and friends, in that if she is healed they will be saved, if she passes, her prayers for their salvation will be answered.

  49. "For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has mercy on you. (Isaiah 54:10). For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, and Your truth unto the clouds. (Psalm 57:10). Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9).
