Jesus Calling: November 3

Every time something thwarts your plans or desires, use that as a reminder to communicate with Me. This practice has several benefits. The first is obvious: Talking with Me blesses you and strengthens our relationship. Another benefit is that disappointments, instead of dragging you down, are transformed into opportunities for good. This transformation removes the sting from difficult circumstances, making it possible to be joyful in the midst of adversity.
Begin by practicing this discipline in all the little disappointments of daily life. It is often these minor setbacks that draw you away from My Presence. When you reframe setbacks as opportunities, you find that you gain much more than you have lost. It is only after much training that you can accept major losses in this positive way. But it is possible to attain the perspective of the apostle Paul, who wrote: Compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, I consider everything I once treasured to be as insignificant as rubbish.

Colossians 4:2
English Standard Version
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Philippians 3:7-8
English Standard Version
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

My Prayer
Lord, I want to be a person that talks to people, talks to you, to people, to you - back and forth. I want my talk to you to just naturally outflow of me throughout my day, constantly consulting you, sharing with you; I don't want to get too caught up in the moment so that I can be joyful in the midst of adversity. Lord, I want to train myself daily to be Godly and respond to situations in a manner that will always glorify You.

  1. Heavenly Father, Thank your for this reminder to always turn to you throughout the day. I am reminded of many periods in my life when I was hopeless and lonely and it was then that I carried the burdens of everyday life by myself. Lord, I pray that I loosen my grip on controlling my life and turn it over to You. I pray for the fruits of the spirit that can only be obtained by living my life through You. Peace is not the absence of trouble, it is the presence of Christ.

  2. My problem, my real problem, is stated in the first words of today’s thought, “my plans or desires”. As long as I have my personal plans or desires, I am going to have frustrations, disappointments, and unhappiness. The stronger I cling to my plans or desires, the greater will be my frustrations, disappointments, and unhappiness. As the proverbial expression says, “I have met the enemy and it is me.” As Jesus said recorded in Luke 14:11, “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” In being filled with my plans or desires, I have exalted myself to the level of God and there will be much disappointment. The more I can let go of my plans or desires, the greater will be the peace and joy in my life. When the day comes that I completely let go of my plans or desires, then I will experience absolute peace and joy and that will be heavenly. I, too, was deeply touched by the last line of Jeff’s prayer above.

    1. This reminds me of what a friend said: If I hold on to something, then I'm responsible for it. But if I give it up to God, He assumes responsibility.
I love what Bob quoted: I have met the enemy and it is me." Oh, that we would all realize that! And yes! it's Pride that makes us hold on to our plans and desires; this declaration of independence so instilled by our culture, which actually was the sin of the first man/woman - wanting to break free from God's rule.

My constant prayer is: Lord, lay your desires upon my heart so that I desire only what You desire. Holy Spirit, align my heart, my mind, my will with the Father/Son's.

    2. Amen Jeff! Let go and let God. I was telling my Bible group last night that we start off our day making plans and then God has His way and changes them. He takes our steps and puts them in the direction of His Will and Plan. Let us always surrender to that Will and be ready to be led by His Spirit.
Wonderful prayer Ofelia, especially the last sentence.

  4. God speaks to us in many ways. Today He's spoken to me through these words. I needed to hear this at this exact moment. As I write this message with tears falling down my face, I'm filled with hope for better days.

    1. Praise God for your tender heart! God sees your tears. The Word says He bottles those tears, and holds them precious. Latch on to God's Promise in Jeremiah 29:11-14. For I know the plans I have for you, plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. THEN you will CALL UPON ME, and you will COME and PRAY TO ME, and I WILL HEAR AND HEED YOU. THEN you willL SEEK ME, inquire for, and require me[AS A VITAL NECESSITY] and FIND ME when YOU SERACH for Me WITH ALL YOUR HEART. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from CAPTIVITY (whatever pit you're in right now)."

"NOT one of God's promises has failed." (Joshua 21:45) Be encouraged my sister/brother. The Lord is on your side. He is IN you, WITH you, and FOR you. He's gotcha!

  6. Lorde help me deny myself. You are right our plans our desires. We are fools to think that we can do anything without you. You are sovereign over everything yet we try so hard to make our own way at times forgetting that you have already constructed the road that we are supposed to walk on. Lord you have humbled me in many many ways. I am strongest when I am near you and I am obedient. So why why do I at times continue to try to take my own path? Praise You Lord in the highest that you are loving and merciful. Every morning I Rise and I ask your will be done. Your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Lord I am here to serve you. I'm here to follow you. And although I may stumble and fall I will always always be your servant. I love you

  9. In a or this season of hardship, the world's default mode is to "invite" family and friends to your own personal pity party! The challenge is to lean on the Father, as said in today's devo, so that the opposite is true with your hardship. Family and friends should be awed by your disposition to be positive and to show the Father's love to all despite the present circumstances. Not necessarily cheerful, but that the present situation will yield to good and a deeper faith in God.

Discussed before, in my and your current hardship, being the opposite of the expectation can impact others in surprising ways and positively shape us as well. This can mean shining your light and being thankful, appreciative, helpful, and cheerful to those around you. Whether that's at a low cost restaurant with a hard-working server, a hospital where you're a patient but helping a struggling caregiver, or a grieving co-worker in need of someone to listen.

In a or this current valley, the climb with God holding my and your hand, can be arduous and disappointing... but ultimately, He helps us to reach the mountaintop, where the view and the peace by being nearer to heaven, makes the past difficulties fade into the dustbin of history. Holy Father, we pray that you keep reminding us that part of our walk is to "shine" when earthly struggles alter our path. May we remember the cross and the hardship of Your Son, and use Your Spirit to reflect the LOVE we should show in all circumstances. Amen

    1. It's hard to believe I wrote this a year ago. My circumstances today are tougher and the valley deeper, but I must still be the light to all in any room, in any circumstance. May we all do so, in Him, Amen.

  14. This morning, I stand guilty of allowing myself to fall in the traps of the enemy through words of anger that flowed from me yesterday. Whenever I knowingly fall short of Your Glory, I don't feel worthy to even pray and ask for Your mercy. But despite my shortcomings, Your are faithful and just to forgive me of ALL unrighteousness. I Thank You for mercy and grace You have already laid out for me, in the name Jesus. This first Sunday service, before I partake of Your supper, I lay out my sins and say THANK You for forgiving me even before I confessed them to You.

What the Apostle Paul is saying in this devotion, should remind us that if we desire to walk as Christ walked, we have to strive with all our being to meet the requirements of the sacrifices that will arise in our lives. Christ personified the intent of the biblical sacrifices, they were the mean focus of His life. The bible says as Christ is, so are we into this world. The bible also tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13). However, it does NOT say that we can do anything we want to do. When God promises to bless you for Your faithfulness and dedication, He isn't necessarily guaranteeing you success in everything you choose to undertake. I love what the Apostle Paul says in phil. 4:10-13, please read.

Blessings to all this first Sunday and may the peace and love of God, take over Your lives today in Jesus name.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

  18. Dear Heavenly Father God,
Would You make us first, a faithful follower of Jesus, the One and Only true King over our lives, and give us the courage to attach our loyalties to Him ahead of political loyalties?
Would You give us the gift of Your hope as we elect worldly governance?
Lord, we give You permission to form our consciences according to Your Gospel; would You help us vote and, more importantly, act like we live in Your Kingdom O God?
Would You help us keep life on earth real simple, i,e,. LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE?
Would You help us to always remember the dignity of every person You made in Your Image, whether or not they look like us, the unborn, the poor, the vulnerable, the abused, the neglected, the refugee, those affected by war, those affected by murder, those suffering from the trappings and failings of this world, etc., etc., etc,?
Lord, regardless of those we vote for, would You help us pray for them AND their political opponents as well and love them as You love them?
The mission of Church is to preach the Gospel to all; would You help us remember that political power can never replace Your Power?
And when it comes time for us to contribute to the political realm, would You help us to cast our vote in a way that is pleasing to You.
For this and every election, O God, thank You in advance for blessing us with the best possible people at all levels of earthly governance; just as You brought us Salvation from the death and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus, would You help us pray through all the political campaigns of this world, that You will bring about great good and great peace for all Your people?
Would You keep our election process peaceful, fair and free from abuse, interference and fraud.
In Jesus' Name, I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. Amen.

    3. I, too, spent time in prayer for this election today, Brie. I think all the JC prayer warriors are. Since scripture tells us all governing authorities are under God's hand and God uses them to fulfill His will (whether they know it or not), this election belongs to God. I prayed that whomever is elected will fulfill God's purpose in their being elected. Though there has been a great deal of ungodliness in this election process, God can handle it as He did when He brought about our salvation on the cross. Nothing is outside God's power to use for the redemption of us all. God's will be done!

  22. “Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be Your name,
    Your kingdom come,
    YOUR WILL BE DONE,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
    And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the Evil One.”

“He does according to His will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay His hand or say to Him,‘What have you done?”(Dan. 4:35).

GOD’S WILL of DECREE, or SOVEREIGN WILL (Matt. 26:39, Acts 4:27-28, Isaiah 53:10, 1 Peter :17, Matt. 10:29, Prov. 16:33, Prov. 16:1 and Prov. 21:1). His Will of Decree or Sovereignty always comes to pass whether we believe in it or not.

GOD’S WILL of COMMAND (Matt. 7:21, 1 Thess. 5:18, 1 John 2:17, 1 Thess. 4:3). His Will of Command can grievously be broken, and is every day.

“But whatever former things were gains to me [as I thought then], these things [once regarded as advancements in merit] I have come to consider as loss [absolutely worthless] for the sake of Christ [and the purpose which He has given my life]. But more than that, I count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him a joy unequaled]. For His sake I have lost everything, and I consider it all garbage, so that I may gain Christ.” (Philippians 3:7-8).

Come what may, Father, may Your Will Be Done! I trust both of Your Wills. Thank You for the covering of the Blood over me and my household, and ALL who fear You and call You Lord. In Jesus name. Amen.

Blessings, Peace and Safety, for Christ’s sake.

In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I've been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I'll overcome
Oh, I could stop and count successes like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal to the grace by which I stand

      In Christ alone
      I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
      In every victory
Let it be said of me
      My source of strength
      My source of hope
      Is Christ alone

In Christ alone do I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed
      For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need
And now I seek no greater honor in just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses to the glory of my Lord

      In Christ alone
      I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
      In every victory
Let it be said of me
      My source of strength
      My source of hope
      Is Christ alone!

  23. Thank you, Papa, for allowing us to freely come to you. You, the creator of all things, Lord of lords, King of kings, author and sustainer of life, Alpha, Omega, Redeemer, Our strong tower, fortress. Shield, comfort, defender, Savior, healer, lover of our soul, to you and you alone we pray. We approach you for our nation. We approach you because you have said, if my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, that you would hear from heaven and heal our land.
Lord we have failed you. Our hearts and lives and actions are corrupt and self seeking. We have sought and followed other gods. We have made our country a god. We have turned to wickedness and indulged our desires instead of loving you and loving others. Of great God, we are mindful of our greed and avarice. We are mindful of arrogance in our attitude toward others and toward you. The cords of sin and death seek to destroy. Our history betrays greatness as we have treated others without dignity, without respect, without honor, without live. Oh God, our hearts have crusted over. We no longer hear your calling bc we seek our own desires first. Restore our love for you. Restore our compassion for others. Restore our purpose and direction. Destroy the idols of our hearts. Remove hatred. Fuel our fire for you. Destroy the enemy. Sow seeds of righteousness for your sake. Turn our hearts to your purpose, no matter what. May we seek first YOUR kingdom. May we hunger and thirst for you. May we lift each other up. May we seek the best for our neighbors and family and the widows, orphans, and strangers in our midst. May we please you Lord as we seek your face. May we quiet all other voices and tune into yours. Please forgive us Lord. Please heal our hearts so that when we speak, the overflow of our heart draws from your heart. May we trust your plan. May we surrender to your purpose. Oh God, we turn to you because there is no other. You are worthy. We worship you. Please heal our land. Please heal our hearts. Thank you that your mercy triumphs over judgment. We cannot approach you without this grace. In Jesus’ powerful name we pray, for your glory. Amen.

    3. GTT, as I was skimming over the posts for today, the Spirit drew me into your post. This analysis of the problems/issues is so accurate and the need is clearly stated. All of this fit what my devotion time this morning called me to contemplate, the lack of reverence for myself, for others and for God. To have reverence is to hold dear all God has created and to respect it for it all belongs to God. A major dose of humility as stated in Philippians 2:6-11 is needed and is available. Thank you for your post.

  34. "Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will hear you." (Jeremiah 29:12). "Whoever is of God hears the word of God. The reason you do not hear them is that you are not of God." (John 8:47). "All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Heavenly Father, thank You for always being there for me and for listening to me, even when I ramble on. Thank You for Your guidance and direction. I always need that in my life. I need that now, especially. You know everything about me and my circumstances and situation. I don't know what to do about all that is going on with me and my situation right now. I have a lot of choices to make and things to figure out and I'm not sure which direction to go and I also am feeling pressured by some people to do what they want me to do, but I'm not sure if it's right for me. I often make the wrong choices and I'm not sure what to do. Please guide and direct me. Give me peace about what I'm suppose to do in my life. I want to stay on the right path and do Your will for me and not my own or what anyone else wants for me. I know people are just trying to give me advice and I appreciate that, but if it's not what You want for me, then I need to be able to stay the course with You and not stray off the path. Please help me Jesus. I trust in You Lord. Reveal to me what I need to know and what I need to do next. Help me to keep You the center of my life and to always look to You in all things. I know that You are there. Please let me know some way what I should do. I give it all to You Lord. I praise You Lord always and continually. Please strengthen me and help me in my weakness. Please give me the grace and mercy that I need for today. Thank You Jesus. I can't do it without You. I am Yours and You are mine. We are one. Thank You for all my benefits and blessings Lord. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

  38. BEACH DEVOTION: PEBBLE BEACHES
The appearance of pebble beaches may be different from our expectations. Different from sandy beaches, pebble beaches are actually made up of little stones and other coarse materials that look forbidding to walk across.
So how do we comfortably navigate through what we view as rough looking terrain?
Touching one pebble, we find it slippery smooth. By slowing down, and especially with an experienced guide, we can definitely walk on pebble surfaces even with our bare feet.
Pebble and sandy beaches offer us the opportunity to look at events in our lives in the same way.
Work Performance Reviews, School Report Cards, Medical Test Results, difficult Conversations with Loved Ones, Customer Disservice Departments, etc., are often viewed like pebble beaches; we assume the worst, and fear walking across their rocky terrain. With satan jeopardizing our minds, we may categorize all of the above as "Things That are Going to Be Awful"
    This is our cue to
    LET GOD DIRECT OUR STEPS.
Every time pebbles, rocks, boulders, mountains or anything thwarts our plans or desires, we can use today's devotion as our reminder to communicate with GOD. This practice has several benefits. The first is obvious: Talking with GOD blesses us and strengthens our relationship with Him, our Wise Guide for getting us across. Another benefit is that dis-appointments, instead of dragging us down, can be transformed into His-appointments and His opportunities for our good. This transformation removes the difficulty from our situations and our circumstances, making it possible to be joyful in the midst of walking across pepple beaches.

    FROM PSALM 37:
Steps of the good are directed by The Lord Jesus Christ, Who delights in each step they take. When we fall, our failure isn't fatal nor final, for The Good Lord raises and holds us up with His Almighty Hand. Our falls are only life lessons rather than life sentences.

OUR PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father God,
Would You teach us to draw upon Your Wisdom and Your Divine Guidance until we get safely across every situation and circumstance, be they pebbly or sandy. Thank You for always staying so close to us. May we likewise stay close to You.
I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. I yield. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

  43. Since yesterday's appointment with the ocular facial plastic surgeon did not go well, She said I have an Orbital mass and ordered me a Cat Scan and some lab work. She wanted to wait a month before telling me the results. If this could be malignant, I sure will try to expedite the tests. I just don't want her to be my surgeon. God is telling me loudly not to proceed with her. So this morning I'll be going to my good primary doctor with her papers and orders and I will trust his advice and references. God is leading me and I am trusting in Him. Thank you for your prayers!
Thank You Father for holding me tight through this ordeal and for turning all this to good. Don't let me get fearful because I know You can do all things. And if I need surgery to remove the mass from my eyeball, You will be right there guiding the doctor's hands perfectly.
Thank You for answering prayers for Norah's son's Co-worker and family to receive good results for Natalie, for healing for Natalie and for Baby Ezekiel, and for a successful surgery and colon repair for Chip, and for healing and strength for Kendra to tolerate chemo, and also for leading Lloyd through a successful treatment, and for Norah's DH to receive good results from his biopsy, and also a good report from his Cardiologist. We thank You Father for all these things in the powerful Name of Christ Jesus, our Risen Lord, Amen.

    10. Thank you sweet sisters! (and brothers). Your prayers are bringing me more peace because God hears every one. Went to my primary doctor today and he was wonderful!!! He said my blood pressure was good, lungs are clear. He did all the blood work that was ordered for the Cat scan. I scheduled the CT scan for 11/9. He recommended a great Dr/Surgeon that has done many ocular surgeries and I actually got an appointment with him on 11/21. So grateful for all of you dear sisters who pray for me. We pray for each other and we know that God is faithful. Amen dear Janet, I really do feel God holding me tightly. And sweet Jan, I know that I am loved by Him and He is leading His little trusting lamb. And you and dear NJS were right! Today I found the right surgeon! God knew it would be him all along.
Dear Ellen, I'm praying with you for all of our dear prayer warriors to receive God's faithfulness and answered prayers. Thanks dear Audra for that heavenly vision of prayer warriors surrounding me with love and powerful declarations of healing. Holding hands with you, Brie and all our family, praising God and trusting in His faithfulness, healing and more strength, blessings and answered prayers for us all in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen

Dear Jeanne - I read your post about your meeting with the Doctor and all I can say is that I'm so blessed that God sent you a LOUD and CLEAR message to GET OUT! That appointment would NOT have increased my confidence or trust, either. I'm glad you are going to your Primary Care Dr and that he will guide you. Holding you in prayer, dear sister. God will provide the answers and my prayer is that it is resolved quickly and you will have answers that bless your heart. My sister had something similar to what you have and it has been resolved with no bad results to her vision. Stay peaceful in the arms of our Lord - He is looking out for you. Love and Blessings JC Family as we go about our day, looking for opportunities to bless and be blessed. I loved the reminders in today's devotion. I will be viewing 'set-backs' as 'opportunities' to trust my Heavenly Father through His Son, Christ Jesus!

I now have my blood work done, my CT scan scheduled for 11/9, and a consultation with a wonderful ocular surgeon scheduled for 11/21. God is in my corner. I am trusting in good results and praying for a good outcome by our Way Maker. I guess this is just another opportunity to trust my Heavenly Father through His Son, Christ Jesus! 50. Reading last years posts I realize how all of your prayers healed me because our faithful God heard and answered them. Thanks dear Brie! I’m so glad you were singing Clearer Vision. May God give us eyes to see those things which will endure so we don’t get distracted by the meaningless stuff that will fade away. So many of our JC Family need prayers because of the trials they and their loved ones are going through. We must remember that God allows our trials to bring us closer to Him and test our faith. May our merciful God continue to shine His faithfulness on us all, answer our prayers, and strengthen and polish us. Thank You Jesus.

    2 Corinthians 4:18
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

  54. "apostle Paul, who wrote: Compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, I consider everything I once treasured to be as insignificant as rubbish"....Love this! All My desires and all my "treasures" are rubbish compared to the greatness of knowing You-Jesus. Dear heavenly Father help me to know you even better each day. Help me to separate from earthly attachments, that are not only material things, but attachments of my own will, my own wants and desires. It is all rubbish compared to knowing You. I love you Jesus! Amen.

  57. The Apostle Paul understood that the greatest treasure was knowing the Lord. "Compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, I consider everything I once treasured to be as insignificant as rubbish". So many things in our lives distract us from precious time spent with Jesus. We must consciously stop what we're doing and connect to Him. Feel His sweet Presence surround us. Feel His Strength empower us. Feel His Peace fill us. We can do all things through Christ Who Strengthens us. Yesterday, a kind man in CVS asked if he could help me carry my things to the register. I said thank you but God made me very strong and I can do all things. He said, "through Christ who strengthens me". I smiled and said "Yes my brother, we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus"! That really blessed me. Yesterday I got so much done because I felt Him assuring me that I could do all things with Him. I acknowledged Him even in the little things and He helped me accomplish so much. Today's devotion also tells us: "When you reframe setbacks as opportunities, you find that you gain much more than you have lost". These setbacks give you an opportunity to test your patience, your faith and your trust in God's faithfulness. He draws you to Him and assures you that everything will turn out alright. And all of a sudden that long dark tunnel is flooded with His bright Light. No matter what we are faced with, our amazing and powerful God is so much greater. He is our Stronghold in the storm, and He is absolutely Immovable. Today, no matter what you have ahead of you, hold on tight to His Unchanging Hand. He is Reliable, as are His Promises and His Word. Have a Blessed day in Him. I'm singing in Church this morning and I listened to the five songs and I know Jesus will help me sing them for His Glory. As our dear JJ says: These are Glory Days, not gloomy days. Rejoice and be glad in them.
Thank You Father for strengthening my 71 yr old brother this morning so he finishes the NYC Marathon, and lead him to meet a good Christian woman and some nice friends, and for answering our prayers for all our dear ones. Heal them, strengthen them, guide them and turn their hearts to You. Comfort all those who are missing their loved ones. You are sitting in the empty seats at their tables. Thank You for that and for making a way for Joni to get an earlier surgery date, and for giving Larry a good report and good results, and my friend Jessie good MRI results, and Audra a good report, and for healing dear Janet and my good sister Janet, and Adam who is getting chemo and radiation next week, and Peter's daughter, Rich C and his daughter, Ellen's daughter, Jan and her DH, SC and her DH, Brie, Annie, Jane, Pam, Terri, Sandy, Eli, Mike, and comfort and guide Sassy Mom, and keep Lindy's daughter Taylor from using Fentenol, and return all the estranged children to their loving parents, and all those I can't remember. And thank You Father for healing everyone on our prayer lists and make their ways straight, and heal those with depression, and lift everyone's weary hearts and give them hope. Thank You for all this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

    Psalm 103:2-3
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.

    Psalm 107:19-20
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

    Psalm 118:14
The Lord is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.

  58. Psalm 18:30-33 AMPC
30 As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him.
31 For who is God except the Lord? Or who is the Rock save our God,
32 The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect?
33 He makes my feet like hinds’ feet [able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble]; He sets me securely upon my high places.
