Jesus Calling: July 30

Worship Me in the beauty of holiness. I created beauty to declare the existence of My holy Being. A magnificent rose, a hauntingly glorious sunset, oceanic splendor--all these things were meant to proclaim My Presence in the world. Most people rush past these proclamations without giving them a second thought. Some people use beauty, especially feminine loveliness, to sell their products.
How precious are My children who are awed by nature's beauty; this opens them up to My holy Presence. Even before you knew Me personally, you responded to My creation with wonder. This is a gift, and it carries responsibility with it. Declare My glorious Being to the world. The whole earth is full of My radiant beauty--My Glory!
Psalm 29:2
New King James Version

Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Verse thoughts
There are two thoughts for beauty - one external, the other internal. External refers to the robes or vestments worn by priests in the sacred services of the sanctuaries. We see this applied in multiple ways in history as the priest or minister has worn robes to signify coming before God, presenting His word with a beautiful array. It is also why many people throughout history show up to church with their best clothes on - dresses and suits - as we come before the Lord with beauty - the beauty of our dress. We have our ordinary dress and then our beauty dress. Our internal ornament or beauty refers to a holy and pure state of mind. It is here where God says the external clothing is not important, but what is important is what is on our inside. Thus we worship the Lord in a clean manner, free from sin, free from stain, free from marks. Sarah Young here touches on God's beauty - His radiant beauty.

Isaiah 6:3
English Standard Version

And one called to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!”

My Prayer
Lord, there should be something special about coming before You. You are not ordinary, but holy and distinct and utterly beautiful. As I show up to worship You, You remind me that You have made me pure, white as snow. You have made me beautiful. So I don't need to walk into your presence carrying any baggage of sin, any complaint, but prepared to worship You in the beauty of who You are. And perhaps me putting on my best clothes helps remind me of this. Yet, help my own heart to not get prideful in thinking I am something greater than I am because of what I am wearing. O God the king of saints, we praise and glorify your holy Name. Glory be to God on high - the whole earth is full of Your Glory.

  1. The Heavenly Host exhibits worshipping of God in the beauty of holiness. They see only God, they desire only God, they glorify God with praise and thanksgiving. They do, they always have, they always will. I haven’t (Lord, have mercy), one day I will (thank you, Jesus), come to my assistance, make haste to help me (thank you, Holy Spirit).

  5. Today is a rough day for me. I’ve been unemployed for a while now and tomorrow I was supposed to have an in person interview. It’s been rescheduled. I’ve had a conversion experience recently and I’ve asked a couple of things from Jesus as a test. One of them was employment. I’m losing the hope I’ve had.

  6. J. M. Prater,

I'll be praying for your employment situation, I know that can be very difficult to go through. Sometimes Jesus doesn't answer our prayers right away, which can be very hard to understand but we have to trust His planning and timing because He knows much more than us. This may be an opportunity to grow in Him more, or maybe this new interview will go better than the one originally planned. Only God knows why things happen the way they do. As hard as it is, you have to trust Him through this difficult time.

Here are a few verses that I think may help you:

Matthew 10:29-31 -- "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

God will take care of you, and even though you don't have a job right now you will be taken care of because He loves you. If He takes care of sparrows He will surely take care of you and give you what you need (according to His perfect plan).

Ecclesiastes 3:11 -- "He has made everything beautiful in His time. He has also set eternity in hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

Things work out for the better when we trust God's timing. I know this is very difficult sometimes but from experience I know that letting God have control of all situations in your life makes things better.

Psalm 27:14 -- "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

I don't know what other things you asked for, but know that God will give you what you need, maybe not exactly what you wanted, but what is best for you. He also has perfect timing, so these things may come along later. It is important to wait and ask God to work in your life. Although this can be difficult it is well worth it.

Psalm 25:10 -- "All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of His covenant."

Psalm 25 is so beautiful and if you have time I recommend reading it. This is just a reminder that God loves you and when we trust in Him and allow Him to work in our lives we are better for it. Even though this may be difficult you need to trust Him that things will work out in the way God lovingly plans for you.

I am praying for you, your employment, and your walk with Christ. I hope what I said was helpful and I wish you the best.

If not, be assured that something better is about to happen. Either way, exercise your trust in Him. He knows exactly what you need. Fear nothing!

  10. As I read thru the posts I saw a post from a young man who was unemployed for a period of time. I pray that he found employment with a company that brings him joy and he feels proud to work for. I too have been unemployed for 8 months now, this experience has humbled me but has also brought me back to Jesus. Jesus has provided for my wife and I thru this time, but I pray that I find employment to help with the burden of finances on my wife. I know the Lord has a plan for me and it is on His time line that the plan will unfold. Lord please hear my prayers! Thy will be done.

    1. Dave, as a male, it is very challenging to one's self-esteem to be unemployed with the usual trying timeframe to land a job in your field of expertise. Add a wife who worries about your mental state, her job security, your combined financial stress (particularly the older you get) and the future... Many here are very familiar with your plight. I have seen a new level of depth in the relationship with God occur in this/these trial(s).

His timing can be perplexing but God is holding your hand as you walk with what Sarah's been calling as Jesus, "the rough paths and low points." You are not alone in this path - in both the physical and spiritual sense. All here will pray for your success in this journey and peace for you and your wife. Godspeed. May the right job and compensation be delivered in His perfect timing. Amen.

    5. Dave, praying for peace in both you and your wife's hearts, as you wait for the interview. As everyone else has said, Gods timing is perfect, it seems to me as I look back at times I had so much on my plate, I thought I was going to break before God answered my prayers. But, God showed up and showed out right when I was so bent, I just knew I was fixing to break. God is not about breaking His children, He is about building the faith we need to trust Him to do His perfect will in our lives. Take all the advice you see on here and know God is working in the background waiting to give you just what you and your wife need. Waiting is never fun but it is always worth it when God says it is time. Keep placing your faith in God as you wait and He is going to bless you so much you are going to be blown away. Later you will remember putting your life put here for us all to pray for you and you will say, whew, I remember those times and I am so amazed that I made it through that storm. The Lord is and will answer you when its time and I pray for that peace only God can give to you and your wife as you wait.

  11. Dave praying for you and your family. Being out of work is hard on all involved. My husband and I owned our own dental lab for seven years for the last 4 years of ownership he made sure his staff was paid but he did not receive any wages for himself. Our family went without heat in our home for three years we our central heat went out. God blessed us so many times during our hardships. Pray continually. Lift your wife up let her know she is incredible.

  12. I, too, read all of the 2018 prayers and pray now that they are fulfilled. Sassy Mom, what a 'joy divine,' to hear of the family being restored. I received a call last night from a former neighbor who has also buried 2 husbands and 2 children (her second, just recently). Then, she got pneumonia for the 2nd time this year. Yet, her heart rejoices at God's goodness to her in spite of the earthly loss. She knows what is coming and rests in that. What a 'sermon' it was for me, to not waste time in regret or sadness but to claim His promises and, as you remind us, Sassy Mom, to know the plans He has for us. Today, my husband and I go to the Oncologist for his 3 month check up - prayers of victor are being said, and ask you to join me. Then, we're off to the Cardiologist - another check up. Expecting great news.
Thank you for your prayers for our little Inga - her procedure went well yesterday and we are hoping to visit with her this afternoon.
As I take days off to go on appointments with my loved ones (Jinny's went well - she gained 1 lb!), I once again am thankful to work where I do. Though my now, 3 weeks of vacation is being spent on hospitals, Dr. appts and check ups, I'm so thankful that they value family first and always put my mind at rest. Praying for each of us and thanking our Father for His love, grace and mercy. I listened to a teaching in the car yesterday and one of the statements (context: forgiveness) was that we recognize our Father's forgiveness when we are sorry. Peyton Family, that was my prayer for you. That you know the good son you are and that you are also human. Then, I read the next day and 'white as snow,' is exactly how He sees you.
God Bless all of you. Celebrating 109 (now 111?) days of sobriety for you, Anonymous and that your life is being restored as you get to see your children and your life is rebuilt. Meeting this day with great expectations of what God has wrought through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  14. Wow! I am in awe and yes wow of the goodness of the God of this universe. The beauty of His Holinees. He remains the same, never changes!

Wow because as I read ALL the prayer requests and concerns from 2018 etc.. I am thanking You Father, because I know through faith and trust, without a shadow of doubt, You came through somehow for the ones that hurt due to their losses, You provided for those without jobs, You restored hope and trust in someone, You put the pieces back together in someone's life, You gave someone beauty for ashes, joy for mourning and a garment of Praise instead of a spirit of despair. Someone may have came back to testify and THANK You, or someone may have Thank You somehow in their own way. But no matter what, I stand in the gap and say THANK YOU, THANK YOU for Your FAITHFULNESS! You are too good of a God. We don't deserve You, but You made us Saints, saved by GRACE! THANK YOU for JESUS! Ohh Father, THANK YOU!

Whatever situations that still remains or still lingering, I say THANK YOU! Your GRACE is SUFFICIENT for us. Thank You for molding and preparing us for the Hundredfold Blessings that are on the way in Jesus name, THANK You!

May I worship You together with the Saints, through every fiber of our being! You deserve the Glory, the honor and All the Praise! Thank You, Thank You and Thank You. It's never enough, but You honor our praise and thanksgiving to You. Holy Spirit, please keep me in this state of Praise right now, throughout my day and may my JC family marvel and enjoy the praise of Your Holiness throughout as well. Thank You Lord.

May the Holy Spirit stay with each of us today as we take in the beauty and splendor of God's Holiness in this world now and forevermore.

  15. Humbled and thankful to share your journeys here. Deuteronomy 8:3 says He humbled you by letting you go hungry and then... feeding you. Sometimes the hungry season lasts a long time and we all have them. And sometimes He feeds us with something different than we expected (mana). And it is out of His great love that He allows us to hunger because it is "to show you that man does not live by bread alone but by every word (provision) that proceeds out of the mouth of God". We are not self sufficient and these times show us how dependent we are on Him! And we also know God's nature is good so if He tells us "no" now, or withholds something from us, it is for a bigger "YES" that He is preparing. Maybe something we didn't expect or maybe a new perspective (His). Help us Father to trust you in these times of hungering. Also when you feed us, give us a new perception of how great of a Father you are. Reveal your Glory (opinion, perspective) to us through this process so that we can fall down and worship in any state of hungering or being fed. You are a good God and I pray for supernatural encouragement for your hungry ones as you are preparing a banquet for them that will amaze them. May we give you the Glory for all you do even if we cannot understand it right now. I pray in Jesus name.

  21. Dear Heavenly Father, I stand in In gratitude for all that You have done for me through the sacrifice of Jesus. My body is offered to You as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You. For this is 'true and proper worship’. When I look upon the beauty of Your creation, I’m only able to see a tiny glimpse of Your very own beauty. Help me to allow worldly splendor of all kinds, point my heart directly to You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

To be ‘holy’ simply means to be dedicated to God. You are holy to the extent that your life is devoted to Him, and your actions reflect His character. In Psalm 27, King David gave a wonderful description of worship and how he wanted to do more, ‘to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple’(v.4)! This declaration of praise and worship should be the desire of all of us! I know it is mine, so help me Jesus! The expression “the beauty of the Lord," this is Jesus being described as ‘infinitely beautiful! He didn’t have an outward beauty (Isaiah 53:2-3), His was the beauty of Holiness!
As we seek the Lord and gaze upon His beauty, quiet our hearts before Him in worship, He lifts us above all the distractions, all our (what seem impossible) situations and we will realize that worship happens spontaneously and it is the only quiet, safe and secure place to be in a noisy world(Psalm 27:5–6). The Apostle Paul implies in Romans 12 that:‘Now that we have the life of God in us, we should worship Him with our heart, mind and spirit, giving our total self to Him’. This means giving all that we are so we can become all that He predestined for us. Let’s worship the Lord not just for a specific set of actions which we publicly engage, but also let it be a series of actions that overflow from a dedicated heart (James 5:13, Philippians 4:6-7). God’s creation ascribes to His glory and strength, but only us (mankind) can worship Him.

Dear Father, We Love You, You are our light and our salvation. You are the stronghold of our life. As David asked, one thing we ask also, that we dwell in Your house all the days of our life, to gaze on Your beauty and serve You in a life of holiness. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Worship the LORD in the splendor of His Holiness;tremble before Him, all the earth. Psalm 96:9.

    Blessings and Peace.

Praise Him in the beauty of holiness, and come to Him empty of our worldly concerns and emotions. Let our hearts be open and in a state of peace, ready to receive. I share in your heartfelt prayers. He is the foundation of our lives and upon the Rock we will firmly stand.

    3. Moving from the ridiculous (my above comment) to the sublime. Twin bd sis shares from her heart that has a deep love for God in it. Or to draw from my post below, her spiritual maturity has led her to seek but one thing, to love the Lord her God with all that is within her and she does. To be 'holy' to me is to have but one desire, that love that is described in the above post. A pure heart is a heart that only wants God. The words of David quoted from Psalm 27 reflect a desire to be completely consumed by the presence of God; again, coming from a pure heart. This will be some day and this is the goal for today. As that is reached and when it is reached, we will find ourselves consumed with His worship in thanksgiving for the specifics and just because God is good and His steadfast love endures forever. Thanks, twin bd sis, for allowing me to piggyback on your thoughts. God be with you.

    5. Amen Bob! Maplewood truly lives her faith and it is evident in her beautiful words of Truth. A pure heart is a heart that only wants God. When I woke up and thanked Him for the day, I added a request that He keep my focused on Him today. My mind always darts around when I wake up so I asked Him to rein it in.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

  22. No update of late on the clergy couple of the church, usually meaning things are progressing slowly forward. Thanks for your prayers.

(II Timothy 2:22) Over the past couple of days, I have shared the feeling of the previous verses in which we are encouraged, as Paul writes in Philippians, 'to work out our own salvation'. God has saved us and we have the responsibility to receive it. Paul goes on with some more specifics of the receiving of it for Timothy and for each of us individually. The passage begins, "Shun youthful passions...'

That's a mouthful in and of itself. I was led to stay with these words this AM. Did Paul have something specifically in mind with these words to Timothy? Or did Timothy know full well what Paul was referring to?
Suggestions have been made. But, as with Paul's thorn in the flesh, what is being specifically referred to is not given so that the Holy Spirit may direct this thought to each of us according to our need. Each of our needs are different but the underlying issue that has caused them is the same.

'Passions', the strong desire deep within us for something. God put passion within each of us so we would desire Him and Him alone. But because of Original Sin, that desire became selfishness or desiring anything but God. This goes on within each of us, an inordinate desire for something other than God. For many, it is a desire for a pleasure of some sort, it can be something that appears harmless or it can be something highly destructive to self or others. It is all the same in regards to what is going on within the soul. For those who don't get caught up in being obsessed with something, it can be the need to be in control and determine how all things/people should be. For some it can masked as a desire for God but which expresses itself in self-righteousness and religiosity. That was seen in the religious leaders that confronted Jesus, a most evil passion. In sum, it is any desire in which ones capacity to love turns inward instead of upward. It is left up to each of you to determine what that is. I know mine, do you know yours?

'Youthful', as stated above, we were born into this word with Original Sin, which is the love of self. We need to grow out of this spiritual immaturity to discover love outside our self. That is the process of growing up. Some discover this truth early in life, tragically, some never do. In worldly terms, youth is defined by age; in eternal terms, youthful is a spiritual condition of the soul. In worldly terms, everyone wants to maintain their youth; in eternal terms we never want to stay in that state.

'Shun' Contrary to how shunning is used in some religious communities, the root word means to flee or run away from. So we are being admonished that whatever is the particular 'youthful passion' that has taken hold of a piece of our heart, we are to aggressively distance ourselves from. The devil likes to use the line, 'this one time won't matter.' According to this verse, yes it will. In my spiritual growth, I have viewed my 'youthful passion' as a monster within me. Every dabbling in whatever that monster is, feeds the monster. The more the monster is fed, the more powerful it becomes. To shun the monster is to not feed it. Anything that is not fed, weakens bit by bit and eventually will die. Thus this admonition 'to shun (flee) youthful passions so the monster within succumbs.

We have been set free from sin and death in the cross. The above verse shows us the way for that freedom to take hold of our soul.

May these thoughts find there own place in your spiritual maturity. May the Holy Spirit direct them as is most helpful.

Be blessed, my dear friends! With love, Bob

  25. Good morning JC Family! I post rarely, read daily and pray with all of you. Today I ask for prayers for my son and DIL who are now on day 4 of “no talking”. My son knows of God but does not know Him. My DIL is a non-believer. Living with them can be unsettling to the soul at times!!!! 😊
Please pray that in their struggle they find a place for God in the middle. I also ask prayers for me as well that my eyes, ears and heart keep focused on the God of Peace.
    Have a blessed day!

    1. Monica. Will pray for you first. Challenging to be in the middle of a spat between a married couple. Next, will pray that they mature and "grow up". Not talking in a marriage for 4 days shows that both are self-focused. Next, will pray for your togetherness situation, are they with you or you with them? and is it due to CV-19? A parent being 24.7 in a house with a "battling" couple is challenging.

Lastly, they need counseling, but mostly they need to realize that they need to be unselfish like Jesus. I have no answers since cannot know all the history... just will pray (as will the JC group) that you can help them find their way, or if necessary how to best get out of the way for God to act. God grant Monica wisdom and peace, however that manifests itself. Godspeed. Amen

    2. Dear Monica, I share in MadFox's prayers and will pray for you because I know your pain. My DIL also is a non-believer and my son seems to have lost his own faith lately. They wouldn't let their son get baptized but that was almost 2 years ago. I pray God will soothe your weary heart. Leave it in His able Hands because you already planted the seeds of faith in your son and they can grow and bloom at any time in his life. Remain hopeful that God will guide your son to seek His help at this difficult time. I believe your son and DIL love each other and want to resolve their differences. It may be a matter of forgiveness that they lack. Or, they may just need time to reflect and plan their words. They are probably hurting in many ways. Just keep praying for them. God already knows the situation so take all your burdens to the Lord and leave them there. Rest on His past faithfulness. Will keep you and yours in my prayers.

    4. Praying for this situation, Monica. It is difficult watching the marriage of a child hit the rocks (been there). You so want to help but have to wait for the desire for help to present itself. Most often, this eroding of communication has been occurring over a long period of time and no one noticed. Now it is at a point it becomes obvious to all. There is likely a lot of repair work to be done but all things are possible for those who are willing. I pray they reach the point that the love they share says to each other, "Let's get help." Hopefully both would be onboard with that. Pray for peace for you in the midst of this difficult and awkward circumstance. With peace, the Holy Spirit can move when ready and say something helpful through you. But be careful of speaking without the Spirit's lead which loving parents can easily do. God be with you.

Keep up your faith as well as your prayers! I'm thanking God that you are present in the lives of your grandchildren. Maybe they will learn of our Savior, Jesus Christ, through you.

I pray this bout of not speaking to one another ends with repentance and forgiveness. I also agree counseling would be good and pray they humble themselves to realize it would be good for each of them, for them as a couple and for their children.

Do not let your adornment be merely outward -- arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel -- rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. (1 Peter 3:3-4).

Father, thank You for all the beauty of Your creation. You are marvelous and majestic. Your Spirit is within all things and everywhere. Open my eyes to see Your beauty and miracles in the world all around me. Help me to see all You have to offer and let me be open to receive all You have for me. Let me feel Your heavenly Spirit flowing through me and within me. Help me share You and Your word with others in the world. Let Your glory and goodness be spread to the ends of the earth and all Your praises be magnified around the world and into the heavens. I praise You Lord always. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen. DIS-ILLUSIONMENT (DIStance yourself from ILLUSIONs)
When we love a human being more than we love God, then we demand of him/her every perfection which he or she cannot give. There is ONLY ONE Who can satisfy the aching abyss of our heart for love, and that is our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST! May I seek and find Him NOW!
John 2 states, Because of the Many Mighty Marvelous Miracles He did in Jerusalem, at the Passover celebration, many people were convinced that He was indeed the Messiah. But Jesus didn't trust them, for He knew mankind to the core. No one needed to tell Him how changeable and fickle human nature is.

Following a series of wrong turns, I thank God I can always turn my vehicle around and go in God's Right Direction! God's Mercy is new everyday! How good He is; He is always so loving and kind! I am praying for you and yours and HIS, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

To go to, or to be in, a quiet place to spend time with the Creator of the Universe, the Lover of our soul is the most precious thing in my life. It's hard to explain but those who know will identify. To me, sometimes it's like being in a gentle shower with droplets cascading down; at other times it's like being in a beam of light coming down through the clouds, spreading around you as you stand, hands raised to Heaven, centered in the Light.
All of creation speaks of the Creator, we all have our favorites; one time we rented a cottage in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, near the border with Lesotho. At night it was so dark, no lights and zero light pollution. The stars, with the rim of the Milky Way overhead were brilliant points of light. Out for a walk, I laid down in the bush and gazed in awe. My eyes filled, the view was glorious. Returning to the cottage, I got a book went outside a short distance, sat down and read by starlight. The written page was so easy to read, I was amazed and so blessed.
Isaiah 40:26 " Lift up your eyes on high
And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number,

God is the best artist and I love to see His glorious colors wash across the sky and bleed into the clouds. It moves me to the core. I have painted many sunsets because I want others to feel the joy I feel at looking at God's beauty. I am blessed to be awed at the beauty of His creation. The majesty of the ocean, the power of the wind, and even the fury of a thunderstorm. He is mighty and His power is limitless. So I put all my Hope into Him. Rest in Him because He is above everything. We are in the best of Hands. He has overcome sin and is already at the right Hand of God. All our problems and difficulties become small when we bring Him into the equation. We can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

    Ephesians 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, LORD Almighty, my King and my God.

Psalm 63:1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

Psalm 16:11 You lead me in the path of life; I experience absolute joy in your presence; you always give me sheer delight.

Psalm 23 AMPC ( with footnotes)
1 The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.

3 He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.

4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

6 Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

    Footnotes
Psalm 23:5 It is difficult for those living in a temperate climate to appreciate, but it was customary in hot climates to anoint the body with oil to protect it from excessive perspiration. When mixed with perfume, the oil imparted a delightfully refreshing and invigorating sensation. Athletes anointed their bodies as a matter of course before running a race. As the body, therefore, anointed with oil was refreshed, invigorated, and better fitted for action, so the Lord would anoint His “sheep” with the Holy Spirit, Whom oil symbolizes, to fit them to engage more freely in His service and run in the way He directs—in heavenly fellowship with Him.

  47. Oh what a beautiful morning! "How precious are My children who are awed by nature's beauty; this opens them up to My holy Presence." I think of you, Jeanne, because you always so appreciate God's beauty and it causes me 'to stop and smell the roses.' Too often, I get caught up in the 'stuff' of life. However, we I greet my Lord early on and my Best Man and I pray, we always thank God for the glorious day. I also thank God for watering our flowers, Jeanne, whereas I used to think, 'Oh no - rain!'
We are all blessed with God's Matchless Word and to have each other to pray with and for all things on our hearts.
Today, my youngest and his family are in my prayers as they travel home - a good 12 hours in their van with 3 Littles. I think they'll all be so happy to be together again that the trip will go quickly.
Happy for my 'little' (13!) Miles and that he has a lovely day to celebrate his birthday.
I know I'm repeating myself from last night, but I am just very thankful, for the good night's sleep and knowing all of my loved ones are blessed, healthy and happy.
Praying for each of you and yours. And, please know how much I appreciate all of the sharing that each of you do.
    Love,
    Norah

  48. Dearest Norah! May God grant your family traveling mercies and answer your prayers and give you rest. Your prayers and those of our JC Family are holding me up. My Mom was fed up with her tummy problems from the antibiotics for her leg wound and took herself off them after only 2 days. She told my brother this and told him not to tell me. Her leg still has redness around her scrape and it hurts when she touches it. Her doctor lowered the dose from 3 to 2 times a day but my Mom still stopped taking it. I’m away in CT now babysitting little Evelyn overnight while my son and his wife have a night away in Mystic. I’m praying God will heal my good Mom’s leg quickly even without the antibiotics. With God, all things are possible. Thank You Jesus.
