Wait with Me for a while. I have much to tell you. You are walking along the path I have chosen for you. It is both a privileged and a perilous way: experiencing My glorious Presence and heralding that reality to others. Sometimes you feel presumptuous to be carrying out such an assignment.
Do not worry about what other people think of you. The work I am doing in you is hidden at first. But eventually blossoms will burst forth, and abundant fruit will be borne. Stay on the path of Life with Me. Trust Me wholeheartedly, letting My Spirit fill you with Joy and Peace.

Today’s thought brings to mind that Jesus is the Chief Shepherd and we are the sheep of His pasture. He looks out for our well being, He leads us in a direction that is perfect, and He is motivated by unconditional love for us. To follow without veering off the path will bring peace, joy and all the fruit of the Spirit. The slightest deviation jeopardizes everything. All that we truly desire is found in staying behind Jesus and following His lead. May my heart be consumed with desire to follow.
ReplyDelete@ Bob Malsack: To GOD be the glory as he used YOU this morning to provide confirmation for me!

DeleteThe sheep know the voice of their Shepherd and obey His voice - then they are safe. Beautifully put @Bob Malsack.

DeleteAmen Bob! Thank you for your encouragement and instruction.
DeleteDear Lord, Help me to stay close to you today and follow hard after righteousness and the Spirit. Let my eyes and feet remain focused on you and the path you are leading me on. Your will be done, not mine. Amen.
Rereading this two years later with your replies, ‘the path I have chosen’ caught my attention. If He has chosen it, what does it matter how easy or difficult it is? He has chosen it and He will be glorified to the degree I am willing to accept it. No other path will be good for me. If I should find His path difficult, any other path will create far more difficulty in my life. Thank you, Lord, for the path you have chosen for me. On it, I am truly blessed and fulfilled.
DeleteI've heard it said, the same person cannot cross the same river twice, because the river is forever flowing and the person is forever growing. Thanks Bob and all JC Family for sharing your journey.
DeleteAmen, this is what I try to always think about even though things are not so great. I told everyone about my cancer and being on hospice, I have thought about what to write because I am not very good ato putting my thoughts down.
DeleteI have been married 29 years and I have 4 grown kids. Right now things between my husband and I are very hard, I don't know if it is the enemy coming against us but it is very hard for us. So, I am asking for prayer for us and especially my husband and kids. Thank you! And ladyly, my 24 year old has a drug addition and I know that the Lord can do all things and with you all praying!
I was not going toutility that my son is addicredited to drugs butility it is the truth and he needs prayer and I trust you not to judge. Thank you and bless you all

Amen, Bob. Thanking the Lord for the path He has chosen just for me. It can't be anyone else's journey because He custom made it for me. Where He leads, I will follow. How blessed are we? God be with you.

DeleteYou have a room full of Prayer Warriors praying for you and yours in a judgement free zone. Prayer and encouragement to draw near to God, rather that drift away from God is what we do; since none of us are qualified to judge, we steer clear of that lane.
Amen Bob and Brie! Our Father has chosen paths for us and He never promised our paths would be easy. We’ve all had obstacles in our way and dark storms threatening our peace and health. My friend Carmel just had her leg amputated because of a circulation problem. I was talking to her the other day. I said we can never go back but we can go forward holding His Hand. He will make a way for her and be her strength. Another good phrase I remember is: Bloom where you’re planted, and I’ll add: in His presence. But if anyone is in a bad place of abuse or sin, remember this: God does not want you to be hurt or abused or driven off the path of righteousness. He only wants you to be blessed and prosper: Nothing has to be if it can be changed, with His Help.
DeleteDear Fay, I would never judge you about your son. My 2 cousins were drug addicts and one died from it and one died from cancer when he was clean and he had found Jesus. Praying now for you and your husband in all things and that he will draw closer to Jesus and to you. It must be hard for him to see you suffering but he is also seeing your faith is your foundation. Your son also has his reasons to escape and sadly is hurting himself in the process. I pray someone he trusts can guide him to the help he needs even if he may be in denial. May God make all things right in your life and give you and your family peace and renewal at this hard time dear Sister. Much love
Yes thanks for the reminder again this year, BOB
DeleteTry to remember and if you remember then follow, follow, follow...
Yes, Brie...September is near 😉
DeleteWhat an awesome devotional today. It was right on time for me in the season I'm in. Then Bob's remarks confirmed it even more. Fay don't know if you'll ever see this but know that I pray for your son to find turn his life over to Jesus bc speaking from experience,it's the only way to get clean and live a joy and peace filled life. I got clean and now work at a men's Christian rehab where I teach and counsel other men struggling with addiction. If man is willing,God is able.
DeleteBrian from Georgia - what an awesome testimony. Thank you for sharing. Hoping Fay saw it.

FATHER I come to YOU through YOUR son, Jesus Christ, our savior, King, and Great Physician, I praise YOU for this day, my breath, my ability to, through YOUR strength, do what I need to in spite of the physical maladies. I praise YOU for the joy, peace and love YOU continue to shower myself and my loved ones with , I praise YOU for the pain and suffering, because I know YOU will never give me more than I can handle, & there’s always a lesson or blessing that follows that glorifies YOUR name and when YOU give me moments of reprieve from the pain and discomfort, I become filled with joy knowing it’s a glimpse of how things will be when YOU transform us all into perfection, when there will be no more pain, suffering, nor even the shedding of tears, and we will be with YOU, in peace 💞
DeleteI surrender myself to YOU LORD, please pour YOUR Holy Spirit upon me and let YOUR Will be done in my life .
I pray for my beloved brothers and sisters around the world, for the children, please keep all safe, providing YOUR hedge of protection FATHER over them. LORD soften the hearts of those that have gone astray. Instill them with hope and show YOURSELF to the missing, neglected, abused children, and lost souls , please help them. I pray, as YOU command us to, for our world leaders, let them have eyes to see and ears to hear, and help those who need to, to turn away from evil and wickedness . FATHER, please install a person of sincere, true faith & love for YOU as the leader of this and all countries. We need YOU FATHER, always, but especially now, as the world is turned away from YOU. My heart aches as I see the destruction that the powers that be are a part of, I cannot imagine how broken hearted YOU must feel looking down and seeing it all.
Help me be YOUR servant FATHER, I want to please YOU, help me to trust YOU completely, provide the wisdom to know what to do with the knowledge I have, lead me in YOUR ways, help me glorify YOUR name in everything I do. Forgive me for my sins and shortcomings, hold me accountable LORD, and speak to me please through YOUR word, providing clarity, allowing me to take the actions and utter only what glorifies YOU.
In YOUR precious son’s name I pray
Amen

DeletePsalms 86:8-10 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
DeleteThere is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.
Thank you Bob Malsack. Your words were exactly what I needed to hear today.
ReplyDeleteYet more problems please help me god. When will I wake up having piece here on earth?
ReplyDeleteHow is it going with 'thanking God each day for things' like life, breath, etc. Even if those thank you prayers are a little manufactured and stiff at times, it is still good practice. Romans 5:1 is also a great verse you can use in that prayer. It says, "Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us." So, it sounds like peace on earth with the earth's problems and the challenges that come because of sin are bringing you down. But, from an eternal perspective God has give you peace. I just want to make sure, has there been a time in your life when you put your complete trust in Jesus and what he did for you on the cross at Calvary? Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." God saves us not on anything that we have done but through the shed blood of Jesus. Salvation comes as a gift through faith, by believing. A simple prayer could be offered - "Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always." Check out other resources at Godlife.com.
Deletethank you for your words and I've always believed he died for us I'm thanking him but it doesn't make me feel good because I think like I'm lm lieing because my life is a disaster but I am trying to be thankful
DeleteUnknown - Sadly, there is no promise of peace on this earth but small gifts filter down to us every day and it is hard to see them sometimes. Your words “help me God” can and should be used often as you face what feels like endless problems. Others are praying for you, Unknown.

DeleteThis morning, I am thankful to You oh Lord, for so many things, like waking me up this morning in my right mind, for Your traveling grace and mercy bestowed upon me and my mom as we traveled, for a great time spent, but most importantly, for Your Love, new mercy and grave that I dont deserve. Thank You Father!
ReplyDeleteMy JC family, I missed a few days of connecting with you via this blog, but I was in prayers for you and trusting God for ALL your requests and concerns.I am going back to read all the postings I missed and again, lift them up to our Heavenly Father. Today, I pray this prayer over all of you in Jesus name:
May Heaven pay attention to you, God will establish the covenant of life with you and your family, You will not die, but live to testify and declare the works of God, You will not sorrow over your children, grandchildren, parents, relatives et al., no matter how long you live, God will give you the grace to live and eat the fruit of your labour in sound health. God will avert whatever you will do that could cost you your life, in Jesus mighty name. David faced Goliath with five ordinary stones, but with God, the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Victory isn’t about what you have, it’s about God’s anointing on what you have. With God, all things are possible, just put your trust in Him and He will never leave nor forsake you. Amen.
As we wait on the Lord and walk with Him, His light will shine upon us and take away the darkness and dark periods of our lives. Worry, fear and what the world thinks of us have NO power over us! We are in CHRIST JESUS, the Hope of Glory!
Love and great blessings to all this day and always.

Great to read your post again Maplewood 🥰. Prayed for you & mom this morning.
DeleteAmen sweet Maplewood! Your words always bring light to my heart and a big smile to my face. You never fail to echo my little heart! God bless you always!
DeleteThank you for your wonderful prayer of encouragement. I really do put my trust in Him above everything else. He gives me courage to do the things that are challenging and sometimes difficult. He guides my path and lights my way in any wilderness. He lifts me up when I am very low and refreshes me with His Spirit. Thank you again for always adding light to my heart.
DeleteThank you for your prayers. I'm trying. I'm taking steps forward but I'm in alot of physical pain. I'm praying to understand God's will for me. I'm trying to taper down but I'm probably going to need a rehab facility. My sponsor is great and working to find someplace. Day 5 with no solid food but taking slimfast shake for nutrition. Thank you all for your prayers. I'm scared. I had to tell my 15 year old about my relapse. He questioned me directly. I couldn't lie.
ReplyDeleteGod's will for all of his children are to seek Him and choose Him. He loves you. What you're going through sounds very difficult and will be hard to do. It's good that you did not lie to your teen because they usually know. My mother was/is an addict and I believe my younger sibling is struggling with that as well. It is a tough journey and will require a lot of strength. God will help be your strength, keep calling out to Him. I pray He surrounds you and your family with loving support.
DeleteGood morning JC PRAYER WARRIORS, Your prayers are mine. Praying love and abundant blessings to all, assured they are also your prayers.

ReplyDeleteGood morning Lord. Good morning JC family. Welcome back Maplewood NJ, my mom left us 9/11/16; I miss her so much and it gives me such joy the way you do for your mom. Zfuntastic isn't it amazing how you can love and care for so many JC warriors. We haven't seen each other and we are all scattered out but so together and so close in spirit and that is the same with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is with us; he knows our struggles; he knows our pain. Remember always that you are His and He is yours. We love you and are praying without ceasing for you. Things are so much brighter for us in Texas; so very tired and exhausted Dad, mom, and granny but only by the grace of God we will find the energy needed. As for our little warrior he is alive and doing what babies do..praise Jesus Almighty. Thank you all for your prayers.
ReplyDeletePTL for little warrior & family safely home. Blessings to all of you.🥰

ReplyDeleteThankful for the abundance of blessings in my life and the opportunities in a new job to reflect Gods love. New coworkers, some that don't even know me but are not very welcoming. Praying to always rise up with the Lord and know that Gods will is at work. Trusting in the Lord for guidance, patience and most of all the ability to love those that have so much bitterness. God loves us all! Prayers for all those that feel that way, Lord wrap your loving arms around us all so we may understand what true joy and our purpose are. Help me to be patient and reflect your love in my life to others.
Purple martin - Great testimony, prayer and favorite powerful scripture!!
ReplyDeleteGood early morning or late night (12:12 am), to each of you, my praying partners. Today, was one of the best days of my life. We were part of a very loving, caring, giving service for our Dear Aunt Mary Anna, and while not all of our fam was available to attend, those who were there were a God-Send.
ReplyDeleteBefore I go to bed, I ask myself why this day was so blessed. We know in truth, in part, it was my dear Aunt Mary Anna's life, whom we were celebrating. The 'rest of the story,' involves 3 of our 5 off spring. It started (after the service), with our dear Joni buying all of us dinner. Our budget has been tight of late, b/c we are still working on our house, so this was a welcome reprieve.
It ended with our 2nd son hooking up music to his gifted blue tooth speaker. We laughed, talked, ate, sang and thanked God for our dear Aunt's lifetime of giving, sharing, dancing (she was a Square Dancer), welcoming people in, for a sip of hot coffee, a kind word, she was SO simplistic (a Quaker), yet was SO rich and generous in her love for life.
Lord, let me remember this day and the blessings it contained. In spite of the pain saying, "Goodbye," we know it is just for a season. We'll see her again and, Oh, what a day of rejoicing THAT will be!
Thank you for your prayers, dear JC Family. Can't tell you enough how thankful I am!
Norah, so happy to hear of your special day. It's nice to hear when people are able to celebrate a person's life while still mourning their loss. Your Aunt sounded like a wonderful person. Praying for you and your family. God bless,

DeletePrayers of peace to you and your family.
Sweet Norah, I've been praying for you and your family for Aunt Mary Anna. So many beautiful memories (and you as well) that I have with my aunts now in eternal happiness. Peace be with you and yours. I love you.
DeleteRejoicing with you Norah for a perfect service and a day of remembrance and family harmony which I know you were in need of. Your wonderful Aunt is finally Home and her happiness is way beyond our imagination. Praying the faith of your family has also been renewed and strengthened by your Aunt’s good example and by your own sweet walk of faith. What a blessing to be united in Christ and in your love for her. I am so glad music, singing and laughter was added to your day to lift your broken hearts. What a kind gesture from Joni of the gift of a good meal too! Hope it was absolutely yummy! Your Aunt Mary Anna is still bringing you together in joy in the Lord! Rejoice and be glad! And maybe do a little square dancing in her honor!
DeleteAnd now we are all blessed as you are, Norah, in your sharing the story of a saint who lived life as it was ordered for her. How encouraging it is to have such dear souls in our life. Also, Norah, you made it sound as if her loving spirit was lingering among all of you. Thanks be to God!
DeleteNorah- what a wonderful celebration of your aunt's life! Her spirit was there in all of you. Her life apparently made a deep impression on each member of her family. Now she's square dancing with Jesus 🥰
DeleteWhat a grand reunion it will be when we meet our loved ones again! Something to look forward to at the end of our race.
DeleteThank You Jesus 😊. Amen 🙏. I am bursting with so much love for You. You are my everything. I will bless, praise, and rejoice in the LORD continually and always.
ReplyDeleteAmen sweet Janet!
DeleteThese words are from a song I wrote called Everything to me.
Jesus, You mean everything to me.
Jesus, You gave your life to set us free.
Jesus, You’re forever in my heart,
And from Your love, I’ll never part.
Jesus, All I really need is You.
Jesus, I know Your precious Words are true.
Jesus, You open up my eyes to see
Your saving light in front of me.
Every day is better
With You here by my side;
And even through the hard times,
You strengthen me inside.
You lift me to a higher place
When life’s dark storms prevail.
I stand upon the solid Rock.
You’re strong when I am frail.
Jesus, I give You all my thanks and praise.
Jesus, You bless me in so many ways.
Jesus, You are faithful and so good.
Help me to live, the way I should.
Jesus, You’re the greatest part of me.
Jesus, In Your grace, I want to be.
Jesus, You’re in my heart to understand
My every thought, my needs, my plan.
Loving Lord, may I burst with love for you as our dear sister Janet does. Amen
DeleteJeanne, your song is beautiful! Thanks for sharing. We'd love to hear you singing it.

DeleteDear Brie, Thanks. I would love to sing it for you someday if God makes that happen. Thanks Janet. God gave me the words so I could share them.
DeleteJeanne, the words of your love song to Jesus are so beautiful. What a lovely gift to Him.
DeleteThank You, Jeanne. Until then, I am singing your song inside my heart.
DeleteI heard your song as I read it this morning, very beautiful.
DeleteHearing it in your heart means more than with your ears. <3
DeleteI'm 68 and been a devoted Christian for 44 years. I've always sought God but my journey has been difficult, coming from an abusive background.
ReplyDeleteNow I feel I've let God down, although I know He's forgiven me. And He keeps reassuring me of His love, forgiveness and Presence.
A close family member who has ill-treated me on and off for years, verbally, emotionally and when drunk Even physically, is blackening my name. I finally stood up to her but i lost it. It was like years of ill treatment flooded out and unfortunately it was over texting.
I said things I shouldn't have said and she's now showing these texts to people who don't know me very well and don't know the full truth. Even though I've apologised numerous times. There's been no recognition of her years of abuse towards me. And though I love her, I still don't feel able to go back into that relationship.
I feel so sad at our broken relationship and that I lost my temper at last and did wrong. And yes, other peoples bad opinion who don't know the truth.
I do have some family support from people who do know the truth. Who have seen it for themselves over the years and who are Christians.
I just feel I let God down and myself and gave her ammunition to malign me... And that shouldn't matter, but it does.
Any words of advice to combat this sadness? Because.. She's my daughter and I love her and know that things could have been so different. At other times we got on well and shared interests in common and humour.
I miss the good things. But not the abusive times.
Ugh. That is tough. I am sorry you are going through all of it. Relationships challenge us and so prove our need for Jesus. I love Kmertens encouragement to stay the course.
DeleteThis is not a surprise to God. He knows the next step. He loves you without condition.
Praying for you with hope and peace!
Dear Unknown, God knows exactly how you feel. No matter what has been said between you and your daughter, and no matter what sins you both may have committed, and even what your texts have caused people to believe, God knows your heart and you have already come to Him in repentance for losing control. We always get in trouble when we follow the flesh. Human emotions of anger, revenge and pride lead to our loss of control. Sadly, you allowed the reins God was holding to fall and leaned on your own understanding. The result is never good. And we’ve all done it and regretted it. We unplugged ourselves from the Vine. But you know all that. God is still in control and knows your heart. Words can’t be taken back but words to mend the ragged edges can be spoken and the relationship can be not only be salvaged but an be refreshed and renewed and better than ever in Christ. He is the Way Maker and the Author of our futures. He can open your daughter’s heart towards you. She may even be regretting what was said and done and also her bringing you down by sharing your texts. God doesn’t want you wracked with guilt. Give Him back the reins of your life and trust Him completely. Get more sleep and rest. Read the Word especially the Psalms. He always hears our cries for help and lifts us out of the sinking sands of despair. Spend time alone with Him to sort it out. He will send an open door to you and show you a way to put it all back together in His love. Remember His past faithfulness. Forgive your daughter and also yourself. We’ve all done things we’re not proud of but our merciful God has made us blameless and clean again. Hold onto His Unchanging Hand. Praying for the future to hold much bright light for you and your daughter.
DeleteHi Unknown,
DeletePut God First! And Thank God we have a Forgiving God. As I have often done, I too, get it twisted about who is on first base, God the Giver/Forgiver or The Gift/Loved Ones? Putting God the Great Giver and Forgiver First, allowing His Sovereignty to Reign Supreme over Your Life, spending energy on What He Thinks, rather than wasting it on what others think, helped me out of the twisted situations with loved ones. I prayerfully share my experience in hope that it can help you, especially since I paid a high price for this lesson.
Today's devotion seems to fit your situation: Do not worry about what other people think of you. The work I am doing in you is hidden at first. But eventually blossoms will burst forth, and abundant fruit will be borne. Stay on the path of Life with Me. Trust Me wholeheartedly, letting My Holy Spirit fill you with Love, Joy and Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness,Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control! Your dear one cannot fill this order. Only God's Holy Spirit can. Be blessed and Comforted. Love You
Thankyou all for your prayers and Godly Counsel.it helps. I'm praying that He will make a way, where there seems to be no way; and that I've learnt my lesson regarding operating from the Flesh 😢
DeleteHe is the Way Maker, Unknown. He can build a road where there is only bramble. Trust Him to light your wilderness. His Words are not just ink on paper and He is a very present help in times of trouble. Closer to you than your breath or your heartbeat. Believe His promises and our words of encouragement. We have seen his faithfulness many times before. Bring Him into your heart for yourself. Open your weary eyes and look for His guiding Hand in your life. Get up off the ground and move forward as He leads you. Praying for you and the strength of your faith. He is the only light you need right now.
DeletePraying still for you Unknown. God will light your path as long as you seek Him with a sincere heart. He really will make a Way for you. He can do the impossible too so nothing is too hard for Him.
DeleteDear Unknown,
ReplyDeleteI will pray for you and for the Lord to rebuke the evil that has come to destroy. Stay in prayer and do your best to trust God will work all things out for the good. This is hurtful and very hard to experience. I add my prayers and ask for God's Divine intervention into your family.
God Bless you. Stay the course, even when you can't see the future, God does have this in his sights.
Thank you, Kmertens. I appreciate it. God bless you
DeleteThank You Lord for blessing my life with undeserved love, forgiveness, protection, guidance and presence in my life. Praying I will be a blessing and reflect your beauty to those I encounter.

ReplyDeleteThank you Father for your protection from fires. Thank you prayer warriors for your strength in numbers, greater than forces of evil. Thank you Jesus for peace of mind in the midst of storms.
DeleteFather God, Joining in prayers for Your hedge of protection around those in danger from the raging fires in California and protect the brave firefighters risking their lives. Thank you for taking care of all Your children. We need you more than ever now. Amen.
DeleteDear Loving Father, Thank You for causing me to hear Your loving kindness this morning. For in You I trust. Forgive me for those times that I took my eyes off of You and allowed worry to sneak in. When the attack comes again, help me to refocus and draw into Your loving embrace. Thank You for the strength to wait for Your promises. You are gracious to me, You exalt Yourself to show me mercy. For You are a God of justice. I am blessed when I wait on You (Isaiah 30:18). Your grace is sufficient for me. In Jesus’ name I pray.
ReplyDelete“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land; But for you, O Lord, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer.”
When we choose to wait quietly and trustingly on the Lord, we not only honor Him, but encourage others to put their trust in Him as well. We should believe that the God who saved us hears our cries (Micah 7:7) and as we wait and watch with expectancy, we should be prepared for unexpected answers as well (Psalm 5:3). When we also lay our requests before him, it is by faith that we wait in anticipation of His good work in us. Our waiting means we put our hope in His Word (Psalm 130:5-6), because it is only when we put our hope in Christ that we can wait with confidence and know we will not be put to shame. And as we wait for God’s promises, we should see it as an opportunity to experience His goodness (Lam. 3:25). Christ is our answer, He is our rest and the treasure we seek. Let’s wait for the Lord.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matt. 6:25-27).
For us to overcome worry, we must focus on eternal matters instead of temporary ones. Focusing on eternal matters delivers us from those worries and brings God’s peace. Worrying is unproductive and will never benefit us physically, mentally, or spiritually. Proverbs 12:25 says, anxiety in the heart of a man brings depression. Jesus gives three examples of God’s providential care in order to encourage all believers to not worry but to instead trust God. He says we should look at the “birds in the sky,” how God feeds them (v. 26). Look at the “flowers of the field,” how they grow. Their clothes are better than that of Solomon (v 28-29). Though birds gather their food, God is involved in their hunt for it. He is also involved in all of the intricate processes of flowers blooming and the grass gaining its color. Absolutely nothing happens apart from God in this world. It all happens because, “God did it” (Amos 3:6, Isaiah 45:6). When we recognize our great value to the Lord, we will cease from worrying. He is our Jehovah Jireh!
Dear Father, Grant us a great amount of strength, faith and courage to fight off the doubt and fear within our minds.. Help us to remember that worry gets us nowhere, that you are in control and only you alone know what the future holds. May we just be still and remember that You are God. Thank You for providing our needs. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Blessings and Peace.
Maplewood, NJ
Amen!
DeleteMaplewood, your words are always so comforting to me. While trusting God versus worry always makes me feel better, I come from a family of worriers with my mom (87) being the queen of, lol. While she and my siblings are quite connected to their churches and faith, it seems the worrying continues. I think they think of me like "a flower child-hippie" kind of thing, with little to no worry, throwing caution to the wind because I try to always give it to God knowing He's in control of EVERYTHING. Am I always successful with every worry, of course not but I sure do try and try to avoid worriers like my family reminding them to "cast your/their cares on Him because He cares for you". Thank you for your words today, Maplewood, as they reinforce what I believe to be true. I pray that my mom, a huge and life-long believer, will, at 87, let more daily worries go to God versus her lamenting and wringing her hands with worry over this situation and that. It is SO freeing when we give it to God. For me, I feel like a young child asking for help from my heavenly Father to take the worry or concern for me.
DeleteHappy Friday, JC Warriors! May you all feel God's presence throughout your day!
Amen and Amen Maplewood! Your beautiful words and verses you fed me were a better meal than the ham and eggs I just devoured. Your gift will keep in giving. Much love and gratitude.
DeleteAmen NJS! it is so freeing when we hand Him the whole kit and kaboodle. He can handle anything. Praying your Mom will lighten her load and take her burden to the Lord and leaves it there.
About to devour fresh blueberry pancakes now that I have my sweet dose of Fresh Maple Syrup!
DeleteYum,cast those worries to the wind and I'm laughing imagining both of our moms wrestling for the throne of the queen of worriers LOL
DeleteThank you for feeding me once again. Dear Maplewood, Your words bring so much peace to my heart. I feel the same way, just like a young child asking for help when I come to my Father with my worries and problems. I was talking to Him today and thanking Him that I would always be His child no matter how old I get. He was with me for so much of the day and the night. I had to drive to a place I've never been and I told Jesus I was glad He was sitting right beside me.
DeleteAmen again! Casting concerns about what others think and worrying, two of my heaviest stones, at the feet of the only ONE who matters. Thank you Jesus!
DeleteOur Dear Sister-Friend in Christ, Audra Here is music to cast those heavy stones by - and hopefully prevent the boomerang effect! Love You

Thanks Brie! I have always loved that song. Audra, It sure will comfort you. It sure made me feel good. My husband and I went out tonight and when we came back our door to our apartment was stuck. We got it open but when we closed it, we found out because of the humidity, the door will not open. Now the door knob just keeps turning and not even affecting the mechanism that opens the door. It can only be opened with a key from the outside. We are locked in our apartment now. Our son is away until late tomorrow and the Super doesn't usually come on Sundays. I'm supposed to sing the 9:30 Mass with the Choir and my husband goes to an earlier Mass. I told him not to worry. There's nothing we can do about it now.
DeletePraying that God will make a Way tomorrow morning for us to get out. Casting my heavy stone at the foot of the Lord.
Father God, You already know our predicament and that we need You. I'm taking my Burden to You and leaving it there. Thank You for your faithfulness.
Jeanne! The SAME thing happened to me at an air b&b in Queens. I just about freaked out until I found another way out, but the main door could only be opened from the outside in with a key. I felt so trapped. Hope your situation is handled. Soon.
DeleteOMG! It's 2022 and my front door was stuck shut and would not open last night!
DeleteI guess when we get stuck, it's time for us to stick like glue, STUCK on YOU!
Thank you all for your ur prayers for Katie and all the prayers for teachers, staff and school administrators. They need them. I know I do not pray enough.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I believe she felt your prayers. She commented that overall the day was better than expected.
Thank you Papa! We trust you. Thank you for loving us so generously and lavishly.
Beautiful prayer, Maplewood. Always enjoy reading your response. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jesus for the gift of our prayer warriors, our JC family. It is through your mercy that you gave us the gift of friendship and prayer partners. In your name we pray, amen.
ReplyDeletePraying that prayer with you dear Suzanne! Amen!!
DeleteAmen and Amen! Thank you Jesus for Suzanne R. with a heart as big as Texas!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet of you to say. Thank you LCA!
DeleteGraceTakesTime. So happy our prayers are helping Katie. We all need prayers and we all need to pray often with a sincere heart of faith and thanksgiving. I love your gratitude!
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne! We are so blessed to have each other here and you are a sweet bright light to us.
Waiting is difficult for me because it takes Patience, and Trust that I won't be left alone through the dark abyss of night, forgotten to be picked up. Help Me Patiently Trust and Wait on You, Dear Lord. PS I won't be upset if You hurry! Amen.
ReplyDeleteDear Lord you know how difficult it is for any of us to wait patiently, even though you promised to renew our strength through it, it's still hard. Help Brie Lord to lean on you as she waits. You are her trustworthy God & God, I join her plea, hurry please.
DeleteBrie, I know how it is to be impatient. I am one who barely can sit still. Always busy. I pray God showers you with much long suffering and calms your fears in the night. I know you wait on the Lord. Hope you can wait peacefully. Much love!
DeleteSassyMom- praying for Helen. God neither slumbers nor sleep. He is near her, neither leaving or forsaking her.
ReplyDeleteFather, I will heed Your words. Please take me on a Bible study with You LORD. Thank You Jesus. Praise the Lord continually and always. Amen.
ReplyDeleteNow I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Thank you Jesus, you were with me every step of the way through a challenging work week. I am so grateful to you! Bless my surrender and deep sleep in the safety of your send
ReplyDeleteSo glad Audra, that God brought you through your difficult week. Now you can rest a while as you praise Him. He is always the rest for your body, heart and spirit. Rest well dear Sister.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanne ♥️
DeletePrayers requested family: Attempted to have end-of-life conversation with our daughter. Did not seem to go well. There was no agreement for all of our wishes to be accommodated. Would you kindly pray for the Jesus to be in our midst and for openness to the highest good of ALL concerned? I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. I yield. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
ReplyDeleteJesus I need your Divine Help as I am trying to be at peace about what other people think of me. I trust the work you are doing is hidden at first, but eventually blossoms will burst forth, and abundant fruit will be borne. Please help me to stay on the path of Life with You, and to trust You wholeheartedly, letting Your Holy Spirit fill all of us with Your Joy and Your Peace. I ask. I seek. I knock, knock, knock on Heaven's Door. I praise. I thank. I yield. In Jesus Name. Amen
DeleteFather, please open Brie's daughter's heart and mind to what she and Larry want for their end-of-life decisions. Help her to be comforted by You and given peace in the choices that have been made. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen. Peace be with you!
DeleteJoining Janet's prayer for your daughter, Brie. May God soften her hardened heart so she will receive your words and understand where they are coming from. May God guide her to accomodate your wishes.
DeleteThank You Father for this and for comforting our dear sister Brie and her good husband Larry, in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen
Joining in prayer. Is it so hard for her to even contemplate your requests? I wonder if she is in denial? Praying nonetheless! ❤️
DeleteDear Brie, I'm joining in prayer for your request of Jesus in your midst and openness to the highest good for ALL concerned.
DeleteThat conversation is hard to have and I'll even add that it will settle with her when she revisits it in her mind.
My mom had her wishes hand written so I was able to read it and make no mistake with my memory. That was able to give me peace.
God Bless you and yours and I know Jesus is there with you.
These are important discussions to have. I found when I made them two-way, it went a bit easier. Perhaps unlikely, but if a parent outlives a child, the shoe is on the other foot. Perhaps that can facilitate compassionate concern for our wishes. So many these days are being fed fear of death when the real question is "are you ready to die?"if nothing else, perhaps this is a blessing of Covid?

Great song. I have always loved it and it is so true. We must take the good and the bad because He can turn every situation into good. This is where the trust comes in. I am resting on Him. They Will Be Done!
DeleteHeavenly Father, You are my joy and peace. Your Spirit flows through me and I am rejuvenated, refreshed, and revived to a completely different level than what is on this earth. What You provide is so much more than anything that is here on earth. Thank You Jesus. I praise You Lord always. You are my saving grace. I am so grateful, blessed, and honored to be Your child. You mean so very much to me. There is no one above You. Guide me along the path You have prepared for me Lord and let me be of good courage and passion to do what You created me to do. You are my reason for being Lord. Reveal Your will to me and all the joys and pleasures in Your heart. Let me share in them with You as we walk together, hand and hand, every step of the way along this journey. I couldn't do it without You. You complete me. Thank You for being in my life. Direct my steps and let the Holy Spirit be my words. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
ReplyDelete"Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." (Mark 8:34-38).
Amen! Dear Heavenly Father God,
DeleteI am gathering into Janet's prayer asking You to also let me be of good courage and passion to do what You created me to do. You are my only reason for being Lord. Reveal Your will to me and all the joys and pleasures in Your heart. Let me share in them with You as we walk together, hand and hand, every step of the way along this journey. I can only do it with You and I only want to do it with You. You complete me. Thank You for being in my life. Direct my steps and let the Holy Spirit be my words. I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. I yield. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Amen! Dear Janet and Brie, Gathering into both of your prayers. Thank You Father God for guiding us always to do Your Will and ordering our steps each day to glorify You and lead others to You. Thank You for being everything we need in my lives. Direct our paths. Heal our weaknesses and our loved ones. We know You are the most important and most beautiful part of us. Bless us and all of our dear JC Family in all ways, and answer our prayers. Draw us closer to You every day, every hour, every minute. Show us Your faithfulness and Your light in our darkness. We ask this in the Name of Jesus. Amen
DeleteAmen! Jeanne

DeleteLoving Father, Thank You for acting on behalf of those who wait upon You (Isaiah 64:4). You have asked Your children to wait on You because when we do: We discover Your Will and purpose in things that most concerns us, waiting on You causes us to receive supernatural physical energy and strength, waiting on You causes us to win our battles, waiting on You causes us to see the fulfillment of our faith in You and waiting on You causes us to see You work on our behalf in every area of our lives. Thank You for Your mercy this morning and Your grace that is sufficient. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
ReplyDelete“Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:28-31).
Blessings and Peace.

What a great prayer this morning, thank you for sharing so I can pray it with all of us today.
DeleteYou just made my day so much brighter dear Maplewood! Thanks Sister. No matter what you are going through, you share your Spirit filled words of encouragement with us. Amen! We must be patient in tribulations and wait on the Lord. He works behind the scenes. We trust in His promises and lean on the truthfulness of His words. Thank you Jesus!
DeleteThank you Maplewood. I am not fond of waiting but this is so on point. He will not grow tired or weary,
ReplyDeleteand his understanding no one can fathom.
Thanking God for these steadfast promises!!
Norah- where are you?
Amen dear GTT. His light never dims.
ReplyDeleteHope and pray Norah is resting. 💗🙏
Great devotion today! The work I am doing in you is hidden at first. But eventually blossoms will burst forth, and abundant fruit will be borne. Stay on the path of Life with Me. Trust Me wholeheartedly, letting My Spirit fill you with Joy and Peace.
ReplyDeleteGalatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
What a great God to give us these gifts of the Spirit to guard us from commiting sins of the flesh. Love is the first and most important one because it covers a multitude of sins and all the following gifts are contained in it. The joy of the Spirit is different from the joy we get when everything goes right, or when we find the perfect dress, or when we're having a whole lotta fun. It is a true joy that remains even when everything around us is in turmoil. It comes from knowing that God is with us through every storm or valley time. He lights even the darkest wilderness. So our joy is not dependant on circumstances but on Who we belong to. The peace of the Spirit is a constant sweet peace that fills us even when trials are at our doorstep. We must guard against letting go of it, or permitting someone or some situation to rob us of it. It is the peace that transcends all human understanding. We are surrounded by it but we must be aware of it. The patience of the Spirit or longsuffering is a much needed gift because through it, we have the ability to bear all things, pain, suffering and bad situations, because God gives us this spiritual “patience” to wait in peace until things get better. Spiritual gifts of kindness and goodness seem to be intertwined. If you're showing kindness to others, then you are being good and pleasing God. And if you are a good person, you are surely kind and generous to your neighbor or friend or family member. God is so good and His loving kindness is such a blessing. What an example we have to follow. When I think of faithfulness, it is almost always about His faithfulness. I have seen it so many times in my life and in the lives of so many people. We've all seen it in our dear JC Family. But we are called to be faithful to God and to others, just as He has been faithful to us. This often means putting someone elses needs ahead of ours. Gentleness is a wonderful gift. I believe humility and meekness are part of this. We must never become pumped up or haughty. Any good works we do or light we shine should be for God's glory and not ours. May His Spirit hold our tongues when we should be listening. That's one I pray about. It's not about me, but Him. Now the last one, self control, is a gift we all need because we are human and often allow our emotions to lead us. That is the flesh. The Spirit should guide our words, thoughts and deeds because God is calling us to allow His Spirit to lead us in every situation. Jesus has freed us from the bondage of sin and man's laws. We should never use our free will to sin but to do God's will. If we are led by the Spirit we must walk in the Spirit and live our lives in ways that reflect these gifts. We must live to glorify God and not ourselves. We must serve others with selfless love, and forgive those who have done us wrong. We're all sinners and in need of forgiveness so we should forgive even our enemies. We must be humble and let God's light shine through our brokenness. We must do our best to remain in God's grace and favor, and lean not unto our human emotions but follow His indwelling Spirit that calls us to follow after righteousness. This is a daily challenge and certainly not an easy one. But staying in God's presence and peace, and being sensitive to His Spirit helps us to resist temptations to sin, and helps us to be obedient to His call. It's a battle but, we are not alone to fight our battles. He is so much greater than he that is in this world.
Well, I gotta get some rest now. God bless you, my dear brothers and sisters. Enjoy your day and look for every spot of His bright light on your path with gratitude. Much love!
Wonderful posting, a whole devotion in itself, worth meditating upon. Thank you Jeanne

ReplyDeleteSo many things to pray for. May God answer all our prayers and heal Makenna and Baby Westin, and help dear Mary's friend and family who lost their home and belongings and beloved pet in a fire, and guide her two children returning to school and especially comfort the daughter whose first love broke up with her as she is starting her Senior year, and bring peace to Anonymous and continue to heal her son who is miraculously recovering from a heart attack but needs God's provisions for him and his family, and dear Jan's son and family with Covid, and heal dear Brie and Audra, and heal me of my cough and laryngitis, and Rick's brother Jimmy with cancer and my cousin Beth with cancer, my friend and sister Patricia with constant pain in her spine and legs, and my Mom's friend Lenny of his gout, and his wife Joyce of cancer, and my sister's knees, and my Mom's stomach issues, and my brother's dog, and for all of our weaknesses to be healed and our prayers to be answered. Thanking God for His faithfulness to cover all of this and our whole JC Family and our dear ones, and heal, comfort, guide, encourage, lift, strengthen and surround us with His amazing peace and love. Thank You Father God for all this in Jesus' Name. You are everything to us and we continue to trust you to carry us through whatever we are dealing with. (Proverbs 12:20). A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word spoken in due season, how good it is! (Proverbs 15:23). I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. (3 John 1:4). These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. (John 15:11). AND Makenna gave him a bottle of breast milk too. This is huge! Up until Saturday he had only had saline pumped directly into his stomach. No food.
This week they are going to focus on increasing his milk intake and getting him and Makenna acquainted so she can breast feed him. Baby steps. God is so good!
