Be willing to go out on a limb with Me. If that is where I am leading you, it is the safest place to be. Your desire to live a risk-free life is a form of unbelief. Your longing to live close to Me is at odds with your attempts to minimize risk. You are approaching a crossroads in your journey. In order to follow Me wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your tendency to play it safe.Psalm 23:4
Let Me lead you step by step through this day. If your primary focus is on Me, you can walk along perilous paths without being afraid. Eventually, you will learn to relax and enjoy the adventure of our journey together. As long as you stay close to Me, My sovereign Presence protects you wherever you go.
English Standard Version
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
Psalm 9:10
English Standard Version
And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
John 12:26
English Standard Version
If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
My Prayer
Lord, comfort, minimizing risk, and keeping myself safe are hallmarks of my life. I know this is how I live life. And I often will follow you only to extent that it doesn't infringe on these tenets of my being. For instance, I know your word says I will be persecuted but I tend to not follow you and put myself in situations where persecution might occur because I like my lifestyle too much and I don't want to hurt it so I find easier ways to follow You. Yesterday, I was remembering a song that was so popular 25 years ago and the words are "Lift me up" meaning its focus is you rescuing me and lifting me up. I too often take this to mean that I want to be greater or more successful or have more riches. But your focus towards me is eternal. Lord, teach me and break me so that if you are calling me to be uncomfortable or take risks I can do that and still be in peace.

I want to be this person so much. I am at a point in my life where I MUST trust God. I will be very uncomfortable and it is a very hard step for me. I've loved the Lord since I was a little girl. He I know will take care of me for his word says so. I want his plan that is good for me. Please join me today in prayer on trusting God so that I can get this behind me. I do not want to be afraid of the unknown, i want to embrace it with the peace that passes all understanding. Please God God, give me the peace, assertive approach, knowing you will provide all my needs to take care of me. In Jesus name,Amen

DeleteI share in this prayer! By and by Lord, "Eventually, you will learn to relax and enjoy the adventure of our journey together. As long as you stay close to Me, My sovereign Presence protects you wherever you go." Thank you Jesus!
DeleteAmen! We are learning through every trial and joy He leads us through along our faith journeys. Let us continue steadfast in believing, as we go forward with eyes upward in hope and trust in Him.
DeleteLord, I want to be your light this Christmas season. Strengthen my resolve to step boldly into the reason for the season without fear of offending. Come Holy Spirit, we have some work to do and the times are right to do it. In Jesus's name I pray.🙏
DeleteIn 2022, with tears in my eyes and hope in my heart, I am fervently praying your prayer to our Lord, NatureAmy.
DeleteDear Heavenly Father God,
Would You help us to carry Your Cross, and fully put our trust in God amid the storms and battles in this life?
Although we are in extremely difficult and painful situations, would You always increase our trust that God is staying with us in the midst of our good times as well as in our suffering?
As Christians, would You help us live our life according to the will of God?
In Jesus' Name. Amen.0

That feeling of walking on a tight rope is way too familiar to all of us. It is exactly that,"feelings". It's the other end of the spectrum from "faith". I join you Nature Amy in praying and then putting the enemy on notice that "fear" has to face the God we know.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jan Gridley. Much love in Christ to you 💚
DeleteAMEN!!
DeleteI join you too, Amy, in prayer and thanksgiving that He will supply our need and that we don't have to be afraid. I know I am drawing from a dry well too often. I am relying on things of this world to make me feel better and it doesn't (partying sounds like it would be the ticket - it isn't). I wake up in condemnation. I need to go out on the limb in trusting Him to keep me and meet my needs. I love what you said, Jan, about "putting the enemy on notice that "fear" has to face the God we know." I am claiming this day - going to church and coming home and taking care of the things that need to be done - with a joyful heart! We have been through a lot in the last few years (my husband had cancer, but he is cancer-free now!), family issues (a divorce, now a new spouse, more children) - all things that we should be rejoicing in and yet it's as if NOW, I'm hashing through all of the hard things we went through & trying to escape with wine or drinks. It's ridiculous. Sorry for the rant - again, Peyton Family...I'm praying for victories today and changes that need to be made. Today is the day.
ReplyDeleteAmen 🙏🏻 💛
DeleteThank you so very much. I'll be praying for you and yours as well. 🕊💜

ReplyDeleteThanks so much. 🙏
DeleteAs this reading occurs this year (2018), it is Sunday and according to tradition it is the Second Sunday in Advent. In the observance of Advent, this Sunday’s gospel tells the story of John the Baptist being moved by the Word of God to proclaim a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins as he fulfilled his calling to prepare the way of the Lord. A suggestion for you: reread today’s message above and imagine you are John reading this in whatever cozy surroundings Zechariah and Elizabeth provided him. The one sticky point in doing this is the last sentence, “my sovereign Presence protects you” and John’s life would end with his beheading because he stayed close to God. What do we do with that? Jesus’ words in John 12:26 are helpful.
ReplyDeleteThe message of this drama being acted out on earth is that God is and will save all He has created out of His everlasting love. You and I are bit players in the drama. Bit players in a play are not the stars, they simply do some small act that advances the plot. May you and I fulfill our given role in God’s love story. Though certainly not a bit player, John was faithful to his role and the Lord’s way was duly prepared.
Prayers for all. Thank you sir for putting John The Baptist in this context.
DeleteAmen Bob!! 🙏♥️
DeleteGood food for thought, Bob! I'm happy to be given even a small role in God's amazing plan. Following Him involves suffering but He never leaves us through it.
DeleteGod stay with me always

ReplyDeleteGood Morning, to all of you beautiful believers on this site. Chris Peyton, your words/prayer ring clearer to me today than they did even a year ago and they touched me then, so much.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was such a blessing. God DID order my steps and I accomplished everything I set out to do. I have to admit, though, I still did not 'rest' in Him completely. I couldn't go to sleep for fear I'd oversleep when I did! I feel like I slept with one eye open all night and at 4:20, my dear hub reached over and said, "What time did you say you needed to leave?"
I JUMPED out of bed, blood jumping in my veins, for I was convinced I'd overslept and would be late for my event! I still had 10 mins before my first alarm went off. We laughed and he apologized, but how sweet is that? That he would be awake, praying and make it HIS concern as well that I not be late.
I read today's devotion and all of our comments 3 x's, including my own of last year. And I see growth. I see "unknown unknown" on here and know how her life unfolded - you are still in my prayers!
Amy's prayer is still my prayer and Bob's sharing warms my heart even more this year.
PBEGDesigns: you and your husband will be in my prayers throughout the day. Lord, I pray for VICTORY, in this situation. I can't wait to hear the 'All Clear' report. God is with you and our Lord, Jesus Christ has gone before your dear husband: by his stripes we were healed.
Suzanne: I had the same thoughts about neediness. I still have so much to learn, Lord! And then I pray the prayer of 'second chances' and that I don't learn it the hard way...always seeking that comfortable place.
CO: I pray Chris Peyton's prayer over and over for you. What a strong Woman of God, you are. Bless you as you continue on this path of restoration for your family.
Sassy Mom, JJ, Loveconquersall, Keith Jan,...all of you on this site: your words give me courage and your hearts are so true to His Word.
God Bless each of you and thank you again Peyton Family for this site. I will have time in the car to pray for each of you and it will stick throughout the day. What a blessed bunch we are to have each other, to share honestly and to approach the throne of Grace without any sense of condemnation or guilt (always the goal!) and claim those priceless promises.
Prayers for you, MadFox; I miss your words of wisdom and trust all is well with your soul.
God Bless each of you. Maplewood, I'll hop on here later to hear your beautiful songs of praise.
Please pray for my Event, for safe travels and confidence that I keep my focus on Him, who so loved that he gave His only begotten Son.
<3
Norah - Thank you for blessing all "us" Warriors with prayer. We pray for you as you pray for us.
DeleteNorah~ prayers that your event goes well today. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers all day. You got this!
DeleteThe blessings are yours Norah, His sheild of protection is around you and success in this endeavor is Your portion!
DeleteMaplewood NJ
Sweet, sweet Norah! I've been reading and praying each day right here with you all (for over 2 years now). Thank you for the kind words... my thoughts here are always pursuing and seeking His wisdom and to be blessed by the thoughts and prayers shared. It is inspirational to see the spiritual growth, prayerful encouragement, and the "Hand of God" work through the lives of those here the past few years.
DeleteIt is evident that living in America and western civilization, where most people are "safe and secure", is much easier than in the East and Africa. To be "out on the limb" in that part of the world is a true challenge to your faith. And here, God's message of faith can often get lost in the the warmth of a home watching a football game! When we do get forced "out on a limb" with a health issue, a loss of any type (job, loved one, friend) or a spiritual valley like scripture illustrates with David's Psalms, we seek to immediately pray to be back in the safe zone.
"Fear not for I am with you always..." We tend to forget He's holding our "limb" in both the mountain tops and the valleys - ALWAYS. For most, our growth only comes when we are seeking Him while dangling from a limb. And Jesus having lived in the flesh and experiencing our limitations knows this. It's why He keeps whispering "Hold my hand". He always brings you peace. Godspeed, may today we all experience the comfort of knowing that God is with us wherever we are... on a limb or on the ground, safe or in peril, traveling or at home. Amen.
Norah --- I covet your prayers. Sending prayers back to you! I ask for the Lord's Grace and Mercy to saturate you and His protection to surround you. AMEN and AMEN
DeleteAmen, mad🦊! Thanks for the limb analogy, especially at this time of year when leaves are gone, so many reminders of God reaching out for us!
DeleteA year later, the limb and the reference I make to a health issue, etc, just show us time and time again, that JC is written with an uncanny eternal perspective and with a year to year ability to bend to new circumstances. Godspeed, we as limbs are indeed... as said elsewhere, the vine of Christ.
DeleteI just love your love and insight, Norah! You are nothing but sweetness and light to me, Sister!
DeleteMadFox, I really understand the feeling of being out on a limb but I am blessed to say I saw His faithfulness and I am so thankful. Praying for you always.
Good morning, family. I am asking for extra prayer today. I am going nicotine free today and already the anxiety I have about quitting is trying to defeat me. I know I can do this, (I’ve quit before...), and that the Lord will help me through the worst of the first few days. Please pray for the courage to be steadfast in my decision and strong in my faith. God’s got this. Thank you all and have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteDave D.- This Victory in Jesus is yours!!!!!!!
DeleteDave D.- Philippeans 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. You got this!
DeleteDave, Suzanne R said it right! You can do ALL things through JESUS the CHRIST! He's cheering you on and so are we!
DeleteMaplewood NJ
David I had this same conversation with God. Asking for his help and then realized like you said, he had helped because I had quit many times for long periods and then some stress or event would come along and I would go back. When I realized help to quit wasn't enough for me I hit my knees and asked him to take them from me. The urge to smoke and the crutch I was using them for during stressful situations and he did. I'll be praying for you. I'm 22 years smoke free!
DeleteDavve --- I pray the LORD will give you grace to stop the habit completely and the desire to smoke eliminated from you. I pray the Lord to have first place in your life and in your body. I give you LORD all the praise and glory in Jesus's name. AMEN and AMEN
DeleteSuzanne R - Love ♥ and blessings to you - when I read today's BibleGateway verse of the day. "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. - John 15:5, John 15:8"
ReplyDeleteA year later, My Bible Gateway verse is
Delete“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. - John 15:5, John 15:8 NLT ... Thank You Lord for your presence, love and guidance in my life.
Amen Sassy Mom! Apart from Him, we cannot live an abundant life, nor produce good and abundant fruit. We must consciously stay "plugged in" so we remain in His Living Room with Him, instead of just looking at Him through the window from outside. We leave Him, but He never leaves us.
DeletePraise Him in the morning, praise Him at noonday, praise in the evening when the sun goes down, just praise Him all day long.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's pouring rain in my neck of the woods and as I steer through the bus window on my way to work, I am looking at the grey sky and showers of blessings pouring down, I can't help but be in awe of Your greatness! Who could have created ALL of this and caused the rain to fall, watering the earth, cleansing the pollution off of it and the many, many benefits and blessings of rain? NO one but YOU OH LORD!! we tend to complain when it rains because we want to be out doors enjoying several activities, but like the bleesings of a sunshine day, so are the blessings of a rainly day!
I say THANK YOU that I woke up this morning to rain, not just any rain, but showers of blessings! THANK You for the benefits of it and the gift of being alive to feel it from the heavens! I glorify You Lord and say THANK YOU! Help me to relax and enjoy this rainy day You have made. I rejoice in it! You are on this journey with me every step of the way, rain or shine! May I never take 1 second of it for granted. Thank You!
My JC family, may the supernatural spiritual showers of blessings I'm experiencing through the physical showers of rain, be your portion as well. Lifting you all in the hands of the ONE who has the Ultimate power to guide your paths and bless you beyond your wildest imagination! JESUS the CHRIST!!
Take hold of ALL your blessings, trust and give HIM all the praise!
Maplewood NJ
Amen sweet Maplewood. Trusting Him, thanking Him and giving Him all the praise!
DeleteHe made every day different and there is beauty in even the grayest day because it is still a new gift containing all new possibilities to produce good fruit to please Him, to lead and comfort others in need, and to enjoy all the blessings He provides.
I had a lengthy comment typed up, but was interrupted with a call from a doctor and somehow deleted it. Today's devotional, prayer and comments from all were a huge blessing to me. I have each person in my prayers. CO
ReplyDeleteHey Dear Brothers and Sisters, I had to hop on here to THANK all of you for your prayers and believing for me. It was a day of VICTORY! So many turned out in spite of the rain and were blessed. One of my Presenters fell in the parking lot. She had back surgery not long ago and has had GREAT results. Today, she fell and her knee was a mess. She sat in her seat, and then did her presentation, standing. When she went to sit down, her knee made a horrific sound and she yelled out in pain. I called the Paramedics and they had to put her in a chair (b/c the gurney wouldn't fit in the elevator). As I passed a woman in the crowd, she said, "I think she needs prayer." I said, "Yes, she does - please pray for her." We wheeled her out and her husband was meeting her at the hosptial - I'm hoping for an update tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, I'm driving home and hearing a weird noise in my car. Turns out, my curb thing (? don't know the name of this thing that has effected both our Chrysler and, now, our Buick" but it was dangling. I had to stop and pick up aprons (a gift I had made), and the Embroider's hub said, "Looks like you've lost your curb thing! I'll fix that for you." Into the barn my car went and 15 mins later, out it came, totally restored. He wouldn't let me pay him; he just said, "Merry Christmas!" Hugs went around and off to the office I went, AFTER delivering fruit salad to several places.
JC Family - THANK YOU! Thank you, for your prayers for your going before me in all expectations - they surpassed my greatest expectations.
And the whipped cream topping? A message from MadFox!! So glad to hear from you, friend! Trust me, today, I held His hand - or He held mine. Probably both. <3
Dave: You are in my prayers. I know by experience what you are going through. I, too, have quit, many times. Prayers for you, brother. Today, I went 6 hours without giving it a thought. Tonight, I made up for it. YOU. CAN. DO. IT.!! I will be following in your footsteps very soon.
Love you, my JC Family - thank you for your prayers. Please know all of you are in mine.
Peace Norah. Very kind. Praying for you.
DeleteRemembering this time last year...what JOY, I felt! One year later, I won't be driving an hour and a half away. I'll only be driving to my office, and then to the store for my Click List, and then to a restaurant for my Zoom Christmas Lunch - compliments of my boss...what a difference a year makes! That's OK. God still implores me to go with Him 'step by step.' And that, I will! Praying for all of you Dear Saints: prayers that Larry is sleeping, peacefully Brie, and that you, JJ, are peaceful in your bed - that all of you (i.e. MadFox) are comfy, cozy in your beds, holding our Father's hand and saying, "All is well, with my soul." Love to all of you as I go tuck in myself. I'll check in later, but I trust, all is well - it is well with your soul.

Delete"To Sleep, perchance to dream... ay there's the rub." Shakespeare...as Hamlet or a chemo-steroid patient!! Norah and JC warriors sleep is great some nights and non-existent the rest! But, Team MadFox docs/nurses did say can back down on steroids next cycle. Praise the Lord!!
DeleteSweet dreams will return! PTL!
DeleteLove to you dear Norah! Joining prayers for Larry, JJ and MadFox. I woke up in a cozy bed and because I was up late sending a few Christmas cards, after I prayed with my Mom and Sis, God told me to stay put and rest, and so I did.
DeleteMadFox, I'm so glad you can back down on steroids the next cycle! Every victory is another reason to Praise the Lord!!! He is so good and always on time!
I have no idea why sometimes my posts go up as Norah's Corner! Anyway - you know who I am....HA HA.

DeleteNorah, Fern, Jeanne, Jan gridley, Anonymous Maplewood NJ, Anonymous KS, Sassy Mom, Kmertens, Audra, Janet, Anonymous Blessings From France, and ALL pray-ers, thanks for your prayers to Almighty God on Larry's and Dr Casey's behalf. We are back home and Larry is resting comfortably. Blessings Now and Forevermore, I love you so much. Amen,

DeleteGreat news ..B-9 BINGO! THANK YOU JRSUS!
DeleteThanking God for the good news about Larry's procedure. Hallelujah! Doing a little Snoopy dance right now!
DeleteLike Norah, I too, am reading the AM JC Devo prior to heading to sleep. Also, am praying for all of the needs expressed here. What is remarkable is that this devo seems to be written in such a way that even in different circumstances and years, the message can resonate to your heart's needs. No question, JC is still on the mark and the 23rd Psalm defines my and surely, your situation, too, in the covid era.
ReplyDeleteLet us pray for healing this nation's current valley of division... as it is NOT unity in Christ. Isn't it time to eliminate this dischord as Christians and leaders? Our divine responsibility is to be the "light" and a source of His love. In this unique year and the Advent season, it is even more of an imperative. Faith, Hope, and Love are integral to healing a world suffering from the self-righteous and those seeking to control the masses. In Him amd Godspeed USA.
Amen 🙏.
DeleteAmen to this Madfox...What is remarkable is that this devo seems to be written in such a way that even in different circumstances and years, the message can resonate to your heart's needs...
DeleteAnd each year I read the same devo, yet it feels new, fresh and alive, as though I have never read it before!
Amen & Amen MadFox! Agreeing with you dear brother 🤗
DeleteAgreeing and praying with you all for the end of divisiveness and any attempts to control the masses beyond that of the will of the ONE true God.
DeleteYou spoke right dear MadFox! This world is in dire need of healing and unity more than ever. God is still in charge and I believe the best is yet to come. Patience, trust, hope, determination, and gratitude.
DeleteI'm praying for a living miracle 🙏.
DeleteStill praying for the reveal of God's plan to restore in love what has been divided in fear.
DeleteFather, please bless all Your children and their families and friends here on this site. Be with us as we all follow Your instructions and step out of our comfort zone and put all our trust in You Lord. You are all we ever need. You created us and You love us unconditionally, so we need not worry, but just keep our eyes on You at all times and You will direct our steps. We will let our "faith flag " fly for You Lord. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen 🙏. Thank You Jesus. Praise the Lord continually and always.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Amen.
DeleteYes Lord, make me willing and help me this day to go out on a limb with You. Lead me step by step through this day as I make my 3 hour round trip to care for my brother who has Primary Progressive Aphasia. Hold back my tears to see the brain of this once scholarly person, who loved reading and writing books and programming computers, erode to the extent it has. Please help me put on a happy face for him. He doesn't know the bucket of tears I have cried; You do. I don't know the bucket of tears he has cried; You do. Help us navigate this Unknown territory which is far out on this too fragile limb. I was never trained in the medical world as I get nauseated thinking about or seeing blood and bodily fluids. This path is perilous for me. I am battling satan's attempts to install fear in me. Would you help me keep my primary focus on You? And lift me up to where I can see Your light in this situation? Would You send Your Sovereign protection, healing and wisdom in this and all situations? I need You, O how I need You. Every hour I need You. I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
DeleteBrie - You are in my heart and prayers as you step out on a limb caring for your brother. Praying protection, healing, wisdom and STRENGTH. Bless you for your courage.
DeleteBrie, my heart and prayers are with you as you spend time with your brother. It will be a blessing for both of you. You may remember me posting about my brother this summer as I went through the journey of helping him with his cancer diagnosis, his try at treatment, his journey into hospice and his passing. Believe me, I never thought I'd share moments with my brother that included urine bottles and bed pans. He told me often how much he appreciated what I was doing, but now as I look back, it was all a blessing for me as well. May you also have safe travels.
DeleteDear sis Brie. I join the warriors in prayer for your precious brother. My heart aches with yours. Hang in there Sis. I repeat what I quoted last year. "Fear has to face the God we know"! He's holding your brother & you tightly. Nestle into the warm & secure arms of our God. There you are safe from the attacks of the enemy, there "no weapon formed against your brother & you shall prosper"! Hallelujah!
DeleteBrie, you are more than a CONQUEROR in Christ Jesus! Your JC family are praying for you, it shall be well!
DeleteBlessings are yours.
Maplewood NJ
Traveling mercies and grace shower down upon you today, Brie. I have no words, just compassion for your love and service to your brother, you inspire me.
DeleteDearest Brie, You are in uncharted waters caring for your beloved brother with Primary Progressive Aphasia. God is ever at your side and He equips us for anything He put on our path. All you need to do is love your brother and do the things your heart is telling you to do. God's Spirit is alive in you guiding you and you cannot fail. Your brother is comforted and lifted just be being in your sweet presence. God is surrounding you both with His unchanging love, mercy and peace. Praying that your experience will glorify God and strengthen you in all ways. You are on the Battlefield of the Lord, doing His will as you serve Him and your dear brother.
DeleteBrie, may the Lord lift you and your brother up with Him and keep you close in His heart ❤.
DeleteBrie, I can't express any better than our fellow JC family has already expressed. You are covered in prayer and lifted up. May this time with your brother be some of your most cherished memories. You are Jesus to him right now, trust that our sovereign Lord is carrying you through each moment. With love and ernest respect. Terri
DeleteReading these words a year later brought so much warmth into my heart, that tears flowed from my eyes.
DeleteThank You God for all of your blessings which include this Family of JC Prayer Warriors, who hang out on this limb with me, connected to The Vine. Be it in The Valley of the shadow of death, or somewhere else, still then do we trust You to be here bringing on your rod and your staff to comfort us.
Thank You for leading us step by step throughout this day and helping us keep our primary focus on You, as Yours is on us.
Thank You for Your Strength and Courage to trust You as we hang from perilous branches and/or walk along perilous paths. Thank you for Your Vine that always supports us.
And thank You for Your Sovereign Presence that always protects us wherever we hang and/or go. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

DeleteI too am with Norah and Madfox, hoping for good sleep in reading ahead. Prayed for all on tuesday. Pray now that you all sleep well in His peace. Prayers please for peace and steady hands and wisdom for doctor as I under go a hysterectomy at 830 this morning (wed). Its a needed procedure that will actually help a great deal. Is it bad to say I'm even excited to have it done and over?. Thankful for each of you in the JC family and so thankful for the bond in christ we share. A victory dance for Larry, Brie, hope JJ you are resting well, and prayers for healing. Thanks Norah for a reminder to use the full armor of God. Mindy
ReplyDeletePraying for you now Mindy, and prayers will continue until you are up and Victory Dancing!
DeleteMindy, lifting you up to the throne of grace. Success for this surgery & quick recovery & healing.
DeleteSending healing prayers your way Mindy!
DeleteGod's got you covered. Stay blessed.

Praying for you to hear God’s song for you in your procedure today, Mindy.
DeleteFor your God is with you.
He is MIGHTY to Save.
He takes GREAT DELIGHT in you.
He rejoices over you with singing.
God's gift of healing to you, Mindy!
DeletePraying for your smooth procedure and complete healing dear Mindy. God is with you always and He will guide the doctor's hands perfectly to bring you back to good health. Much love.
DeleteGod bless you 🙏.
DeleteMindy praying for you and all the medical staff around you. Prayers for all the others having procedures done. I just laughed inside myself because I feel I/ we are going through "procedures" all the time. Our procedures are more spiritual. As the great physician heals our wounds and whittles away at our flesh forming us into his likeness. Sorry for the strange analogy, just call it middle of the night, keep waking up thoughts. This will be the third time tonight that I pecked away at writing a post to then delete it.
ReplyDeleteMindy it's perfectly normal to be glad it will be over. I also had a hysterectomy years ago and I felt so much better. I had so massive scare tissue that the doctor said it was like one big knot. I'm sure that you are in "need" of this procedure also otherwise they would not be doing it because of the extra precautions that are being taken today.
Praying for all the JC family that God intercedes in each of your concerns and has his will in your lives for your good and his glory.
I miss reading some days and then I don't see posts from various people. Bob I've missed your amazing God given insight praying all is well with you.
It's awesome how God has brought us together as a family in his name to storm the gates of hell and destroy the schemes of the enemy.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 God bless you all and keep you. May his face shine upon you and be gracious to you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
Love to you and prayers for you my beautiful JC family, TERRI
I like the strange analogy. And these "procedures" can be life altering. Much Peace to you Mindy. And all who are in the midst of "procedure".
DeleteMuch on my heart but no time to express it in words. So I will offer love, prayers, and a blessing; may the Peace of God guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Amen Terri. Thank God we have The Master Healer to get us through both spiritual and physical procedures. As Sassy Mom always reminds us, It just doesn't get any better than that!
Delete❤️️ 🎶🎶🎶❤️️ LORD I NEED YOU by Matt Maher
DeleteLord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart
CHORUS:
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My One defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
Where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
(CHORUS)
So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
When I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, You're my hope and stay
(CHORUS X 2)
Sending love and prayers right back to you Terri!
DeleteRemain blessed.

♥️ the completion with lyrics of my constant prayer, thank you Brie!
DeleteAmen Terri! We are indeed being molded by our procedures and trials. But the condition of our souls is far more important than the condition of our "earth suits". They will surely get snags along the way but we must nurture those things that never fade away. The Word of God fills us with all the medicine we need for that and the fellowship and love we share here is another healthy dose of good medicine too! Much love to you and all my dear JC Family.
DeleteAmen Terri 🙏.
DeleteThank You Lord for blessing my life with JC Family of believers.
ReplyDeleteThank you and blessings, Payton Family!!!!
Praying for you, Mindy and that all goes well. I know that feeling of relief! I became the Hysterectomy Poster Child (LOL) after mine - it was such a blessing. I will picture you as I was when I woke up - comfortable, warm and so relieved it was over.
ReplyDeleteBelieving we all had blessed sleep last night - comfortable and peaceful in our beds with the privilege of waking up to a new day filled with His Blessings!
MadFox -I'm excited for you to get to cut down on the steroids and that you will feel that peace of relaxation. Continued prayers, as always.
Blessings to each of you on this day that the Lord has made. And, as you said, MadFox, may we be the Light in a world of discord.
I'm excited for Him to lead me 'step by step through this day,' as I know each need will be met, each problem covered before it happens and shared blessings throughout the day and evening. Prayers for what is on your heart, Keith, that God has those covered, as we all lift you and all of our loving JC Family throughout the day.
Amen Norah and MadFox. We will be the Light in this world of discord. Praying with and for you. By the way Norah, I actually got 7 hours of sleep because I grabbed an extra helping. God is good.
DeleteKeith I'm praying for you. Was wondering what was on your mind. If it had something to do with the woman you love or your new job. Either way. God bless you always.
“Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.” (Luke 9:57).
ReplyDeleteLoving Father God, I do not want to follow You on my own terms. If I am going to follow You, I must follow You whenever & wherever You lead me. You might lead me down paths that do not make sense and may occasionally involve risk or result in suffering, but wherever You lead me, I am willing to follow You all the way, knowing that my Shepherd goes before me and never leaves me astray. You initiate my faith and I choose to follow. You do not want me to be a half-hearted follower, but rather a complete serious one. When all I have is what You have said to me in Your Word, I believe You and I choose to follow You by faith and not by sight. Thank You for the promise to save me at the points of my every fall, for Christ's sake. Amen.
May we live by the promises and not explanations and live our Christian lives based on what God says and not on what we see or how we feel. We must surrender, put our everything on the altar and trust Him, just as Abraham did!
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.”
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way…..
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”(Psalm 37:23).
Blessings and Peace.
Maplewood, NJ
Amen! We must follow His lead even if He leads us to what we see as a wilderness. He is still the light in the wilderness and He promised us He will never leave us. Trusting Him means even walking "out on a limb". But He says: Be not afraid. If He calls us, we must follow. I really experienced this with my heart procedure. I never feared, just trusted. He was so faithful.
DeleteGod bless you dear Maplewood.
Amen and Hallelujah.
DeleteAmen, Maplewood what a joy to read your words and so many other JC family members. Our words are intertwined because we are one in Christ Jesus!!
DeleteThank you Lord that we are one with each other but most importantly we are one with you because your very Spirit dwells in us. Lord may we be you to that cross our path. Please forgive me as I busy through my days. Someone I can only say"Jesus" in my plea for help, other times I move forward in trust that you are guiding me. Thank you Lord that you will never leave me or forsake me.
Oh how I need thee, every hour I need (every second) I need you!!! I couldn't continue on with out you Lord.
Amen Terri! We are one in the Spirit and one in the Lord and of one accord. I need Jesus to help me with my “to do list”.
DeleteI am so busy these days preparing for a different kind of Christmas. Not much singing in the Choir this year. No family coming to stay. It will still be very sweet and simple with Zoom calls and many cookies sent to many loved ones. Jesus is my strength and my holiday Buddy who never leaves me. Hope He helps us pick a nice tree today. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Our pastor challenged the congregation this week. Can we all look back over the last week & know & sense, at what point did we "work" closely, side by side with Jesus, risking whatever, working right next to Him. It goes along the JC devo today.
ReplyDeleteJan, your comment reminded me of our pastor's challenge when he asked: "If any of us were ever arrested for being followers of Jesus, would there be enough evidence to convict us?"
DeleteLove, love that COG 💞
DeleteWhat a thought, Jan.
DeleteThanks to all these dear people for sharing your lives and prayer journeys. I thank God for all of you and this blog. Each of you is special in God’s eyes and in mine. You don’t know how many are blessed from reading your words.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Ellen! You also are so special in my eyes. Hope your daughter is healing well from her hysterectomy and your other daughter's treatments are going well.
DeleteGod bless you 🙏.
DeleteGood morning God! Thank you for awakening me early to behold your majestic December starry sky! Thank you for the constancy of you love and protection I see in orion, the hunter constellation. It reminds me to put on your suit of armor and protection. The winter sky gives me hope in the light of darkness. It helps us navigate on land and sea. It holds the beauty and reminder of the celebration time of the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ!
ReplyDeleteOh my, the playlist that comes to mind...🎶 Star of wonder, star of might...🎶 Starry starry night... And on and on. All glory be to you God, thank you for the heavenly focus to start my day, and the many blessings and prayers and healing that are reflected in today's posts. Love you all!
Amen sweet Audra!
DeleteAmen 🙏.
DeleteFROM 1 SAMUEL 18
ReplyDeleteFOUR KEYS TO SUCCESS OUT ON THE LIMB WITH HIM!
✝️ David continued to succeed in everything he willingly undertook, for The Lord was with him!
♥🙏🙏🙏♥ Dear Heavenly Father God, Thank You for being with me with every little step I take when You call me to be out on the limb with You.
😊Would You help me willingly commit to You?
😊Would You help me willingly become determined to achieve Your Goals, and accept that all things are possible with You?
😊And even though it requires patience, would You help my willingness to wait on you, be of good courage, and find strength in You?
😊And in Your time, would You help my willingness to relax and enjoy the adventure in our journey together? I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Thank you Brie. He is such a real and present help in all times, good and bad. He lifts us up and strengthens us and sometimes He just slows us down so we can get some much needed rest and restoration. What a wonderful and loving Father we have!! Much love dear Sis!
DeleteAmen 🙏. Help me Jesus.
DeleteBless everyone of you today! Thank you for this group of people sticking together in the love of Christ, praying for each other, encouraging one another. This is fellowship. Amen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blessing my sister LizD! Amen!
DeleteJesus, help me to turn to you throughout my day. I have always, been one to play it safe and avoid risk but I am willing to do Your will. Please guide me while I place my trust in You. If You want me to go out on a limb, I am willing. You are in the results business, not me. I need constant reminders of that. Lord, I strive to be Your faithful servant but I know I fall short sometimes. Please forgive me and be a light unto my feet
ReplyDeleteHe loves us exactly as we are. He forgives us, but once we are forgiven, we must leave our burden of sin behind so we can serve Him with a lighter load. How blessed we are to have a merciful Father who lights even the darkest wilderness and brings us to a place of safety and peace.
ReplyDeleteHallelujah, Sis Jeanne, Hallelujah!
DeleteHallelujah.
DeleteGood morning dear ones💕. Update on hubby. He tested positive. He did chores yesterday & continues to do well. My symptoms started yesterday, chills, ooooh such achiness, some coughing. Started the remedies. Slept well last night. Achiness almost gone, just stuffy nose. Brie, I used Hopewell Essential oil Respiratory Relief & Eucalyptus Globulus oils during the night & all day. Hubby did better on the first oil. My body responds better on the latter. The following I did not use on hubby: nebulizer with food grade hydrogen peroxide, 10min. Every hour. 1teas. Raw Black seed oil with honey/lemon juice (this stuff is awful on its own), but it will cure everything but death! Wonderful gift from God. Remember dear ones, it's not about the remedy itself, but the power behind it. Just believe! When the Great Physician reveals His ancient way of healing the body He created. Amen!, Hallelujah!
ReplyDeleteI'm a believer in vaccines and that the shots for covid are effective (they are not vaccines like smallpox or polio) and have had them... but also believe in natural immunity means you don't need the shot. However, I do know that hydrogen peroxide is and can be dangerous. Here is an article that I think is somewhat balanced despite being from the mainstream media/press. It explains how this came about and European studies towards the end of the article... I simply provide in case you've not read about the risks of this treatment as well.
DeleteHello there. Kindly share treatment for aches , fever and chest congestion related to covid 19 on yayalisarose@gmail.com. Will really appreciate
DeleteJoining in prayers for you and your hubby, Jan. Father in heaven, our divine physician, hear our prayers for our sister in Christ and her husband, please place Your healing, loving hands upon them and remove this affliction from them. Only You are the healer and miracle worker and I know You can do all things. One touch from You, and all is well again and restored new. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen. Thank You Jesus. I praise You Lord. God bless!
DeleteJoining all prayers for you dear Jan and your good hubby. God gave you wisdom to use your remedies. Praying He will lead you and your DH back to perfect health. He is the Way Maker. A very present Help in times of trouble. Amen! He will carry you through.
DeleteThank You Father for this in the Name of Christ Jesus.
Prayers for you and your husband....speedy recovery
DeleteJan joining in prayer for you and your hubby for a healing that can only come from God's hand.
DeleteLord I pray a hedge of protection over Jan and her husband. That you sovereign Lord disarm every germ, every disease and sickness from their home that you did not place there yourself. Lord please stop any path of destruction that the enemy wants to accomplish. We trust You Lord and all that you do. We thank you for your immense love for us. Lord please as you protect and heal use it as a testimony of your faithfulness to your children. We love you Lord and choose living for you over anything else. In Jesus name amen. With love Terri
Jan - "nebulize with food grade hydrogen peroxide every hour". The best treatment ever for a cough or respiratory ailment.
ReplyDeleteI am SassyMom. It's cut the duration & severity. PTL!
DeleteAMEN!!!!! Yes it will.
DeleteHow long have you been using this therapy, SassyMom? I've also put it in the humidifier water.
DeleteJan - At least 8 or more years, recommended by my daughter who is a Naturopathic Doctor. Emphasis on FOOD GRADE PEROXIDE, not the cheap "over the counter" peroxide in the brown bottle.
DeleteI am also a fan of apple cider vinegar. Basically (pun intended) we want to shift the acidity in our bodies so the environment will kill of those little virus buggers!
DeleteWith the faith and trust in Jesus, may all be guided to remedies that work for their unique bodies to restore health. 🙏 For Jan and hubby and all others. So grateful to have covid behind us and restored health! Thank you Jesus!
I started to respond and then deleted my response but after further reflection let me say this... I know we've not really discussed covid here on the blog. My daughter got it bad as a RN in NY in April 2020 and I know she didn't need shots since she has natural immunity, yet as a RN she did and insisted as did my Oncology docs since I'm immunocompromised. It scares me for some not to get the monoclonal antibodies immediately as you may know that if early is a huge remedy. I do know that hydrogen peroxide is risky as my daughter has discussed how it has fallen out of favor for wounds, infections, etc. I would suggest you research and I pray for you and your husband to be made well. I use Christian docs and pray that God gives them the guidance to use modern medicine and homeopathic remedies when appropriate. Godspeed.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear brother. I always hold in high regard your desire to help each of us here. I went out on a limb & tried the therapy, so far so good. Please keep me in 🙏. Continued prayer for you. God bless💕
Delete👍🤗 Be blessed and rest during your quarantine!
DeleteSecond Thursday of Advent
ReplyDeleteThe earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it; for he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers. (Psalm 24:1-2 (NRSV))
The use of decorated trees in our celebration of Christmas is said to have begun in the 1500’s and has been attributed to Martin Luther who put candles on an evergreen tree at Christmas. The practice has grown to be a precious time of celebration for a family in decorating a tree this time of year. In doing so, be sure not to miss the spiritual significance that is standing in the middle of your home. The Christmas tree is some form of evergreen which symbolizes the eternal nature of God. That it comes to a point at the top, points everyone toward God. The lights and decorations reflect the joy of the LORD we find in the birth of the Father’s only begotten Son. Our tree is covered with ornaments we have accumulated over the years which were given to us by loving parishioners. As we hang each ornament, we remember that person with great fondness. So for us, our tree is covered with the love we have received over the years.
One year on December 24th, I was asked to do a funeral for a young woman who had died suddenly of natural causes. In ministering to the parents, the mother, in her sorrow said, ‘Well I guess I am going to turn off the lights on the Christmas tree this year.” I paused for a moment and then this thought came to me from the Spirit of God in love for the woman. I found myself saying to her, “No, right now you need the lights on the tree to burn more brightly than ever for they will remind you of the hope you have in the LORD even in the depth of your sorrow.”
You should have guessed by now what song would be appropriate. O Tannebaum was written in the middle 1800’s from a poem said to have originated from the 1600’s. It originally was not about a Christmas tree but about the constancy and faithfulness of an evergreen tree. In those aspects of a Christmas tree, the nature of God is affirmed, that the LORD is always faithful and never changing. The verses of O Tannenbaum have been written and rewritten over the years to fit this decoration that adorns our house this time of year. Enjoy putting up a tree with those whom you love and remember your LORD is faithful for all eternity in His love for you. (Be patient with this presentation, there will be English; if you are having a hard time being patient, see yesterday’s devotion.)

Thank you for posting these MadFox. Thanks again, Bob, for writing and sharing them with us originally. I enjoy the encouragement and knowledge. Peace be with you!
DeleteReally enjoyed reading this and loved the words God gave you to share with the poor woman who lost her daughter. Thanks Bob for your wonderful writing and for helping me to look at O Tannenbaum in a different way.
Delete🌲🎄🌲🎄🌲🎄
DeleteThanks again BOB,
DeleteYour Advent Series were worth waiting for. As I was deep "Christmas"cleaning the area where my Christmas Tree will lodge, your posts helped deep clean my heart in preparation for Jesus to lodge.
The present times are not as I wish they would be and your Advent Series are helping me make the most of my circumstances, since it is not about me, it's about Him!
As I do Part 1 of Psalm 40 and wait patiently on the Lord, I want you to know how much I appreciate your work. Thanks and Much Love, Brie
🌲🎄🌲🎄🌲🎄 I went out on a limb and shamelessy "borrowed" these from Audra 😊😊 Much Love, Brie

DeleteHas the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? (Romans 9:21). Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the LORD has commanded it? (Lamentations 3:37). I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things. (Isaiah 45:7). The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. (Proverbs 16:33). As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. (Genesis 50:20). "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27).
ReplyDeleteThanks dear Janet! Nothing is too difficult for our Almighty Father!
DeleteAmen, Blesséd be His Holy Name
DeleteJanet, the words " Has the potter no right over the clay?" Struck me in my heart today. Looking at it as a question in physical terms.
DeleteDoes the_____ have any say in how it's created? We all have created something whether it was cooking, baking, sewing, painting, even cleaning or mowing the grass. All of these are someone changing something from one form or way to another. Does the grass say to the gardener?" This is how I want to be cut" Does the ingredients say to the cook? "This is how you stir me in" No, that would be ridiculous! Do we as human flesh have the right to tell our creator how to create us? No, we don't, but how often we do this very thing. In our minds we tend to think that we have it all figured out. We lay out the plan to our creator. Hoping that he does exactly what we want. To think about it this is as ridiculous as the paint telling the painter where they want to be placed.
Lord help us to remember that you are the Creator of all things. You know exactly what we need and when we need it. Please forgive us for putting ourselves in your position, trying to be creator of our own lives. Help us to remember that you have a perfect plan for each of us. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on you and what you are doing in us and not on what we "think" you should do. Thank you Lord so much, in Jesus name amen
Thanks for the visuals TERRI, they helped silly me to "get it".
DeleteBest I stay in my lane with cooking, baking, sewing, painting, even deep "Christmas" cleaning and mowing the grass 😁
Heavenly Father, thank You for the message today. It was like You were speaking right to me. You know exactly what has been on my mind and the things that I have been asking, seeking, and saying. Thank You for Your sovereignty over all things. Thank You for Your protection and love. I praise You Lord always. Forgive me for my "unbelief". You know everything. You know past, present, and future. You are always with all Your children and You will ALWAYS take the best care of us. There is no one like You. Not now -- Not ever! You are God Almighty -- the One and Only God -- there is no other God but You. Help me to relinquish the control I feel I need to have over my "safe living". Help me to give all my fears to You and to rest in Your very capable, loving arms. Help me to walk with confidence in Your protection of me and that I am on the path that You willed for me and that You are always there, with me, to the end. You will not leave me and will always hold on to me. I need not worry or concern myself about the things of this world, but I can just keep my eyes focused on You and You will take care of the rest. Thank You Jesus. You are truly my saving grace and my eternal salvation. I will trust in You Lord, for You will establish my steps. Thank You for all my benefits and blessings Lord. I may not understand why I am in the circumstances that I am in, but You are with me, so everything will be okay. Let Your perfect peace, love, and joy permeate within me and Your Spirit rule me. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
ReplyDeleteSharing in that gratitude and praise. He is so good. Doing my best to keep my eyes on Him, and not worry about the lack of time and my future responsibilities. God will help me in all things.
DeleteJC Warriors -- I would like to give you an update of what is going on with me. I will try to give a concise one, for many things have been happening, but the one thing that I really want to let you know about is the main thing. My roommate, Heather, has turned out to be not the person that I thought she was. I feel like I'm living with "evil". I had been asking the Lord (the last couple of days) why He would put me in this position and I was telling Him that I didn't think that this was what He wanted for me (things like that). The message today has cleared up some points for me. For I know that everything happens for a reason (only the Lord knows why), so it's been a bit challenging for me lately. I won't go in to detail right now, but I know that the Lord is doing His work, but I don't know what it may be so I am hoping that in the future I will be able to tell you what is happening more clearly and with a positive take away. The Lord is good -- ALWAYS! Sometimes it is so hard for us to see that when we are in the trial and enduring it, but I am asking the Lord to please give me a mind like Paul so that I can endure my trials with peace, comfort, faith, love, and joy and to always keep my eyes focused on Him and not on the things of this world. More to come soon, I hope and pray. Thank you for being such prayerful and thoughtful believers in Christ Jesus. Peace be with you!
ReplyDeleteHolding you up in prayer to the Throne of Grace Janet.
DeleteIt's hard but keep on keeping on.
James 1: 2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Praying for you and your situation Janet. May the peace of Christ cover you. JE
DeletePrayers continue for you dear Janet. May your physical, spiritual and emotional needs be exceedingly met by your unwavering faith in the One True God.
DeleteJanet, are you in a safe environment?
DeleteFor we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10). "Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created." (Revelations 4:11). And when the gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. (Acts 13:48).
ReplyDeletePraying always that He will guide your steps and now I will pray for a new door to open, with possibly a good and godly roommate. Stay strong dear Sister. The Lord is always at your side and will never leave you. He wants you to be blessed and prosper. Trust His guiding Hand. He knows just how your feel, and your situation very well. Thank You Jesus.
ReplyDeleteJanet - Praying with you "I can endure my trials with peace, comfort, faith, love, and joy and to always keep my eyes focused on Him and not on the things of this world." God bless you for sharing your heart. We love you.
ReplyDeleteForgive me Lord for wanting to minimize risk and stay 'safe'.
ReplyDeleteYou have kept me safe in many unsafe situations; my wife too when she was shadowed by plain clothed Moslem security forces; eventually cornered and asked "Are you an evangelist?"
Truth is, where You are IS the safest place to be.
If You are leading us out of our comfort zone, then lead on, open the door, we will follow. We will get out of the boat again. Help us keep our eyes on You so that we do not look at circumstances and sink.
Matt 14:28-31
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” He said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said,
“why did you doubt?”
Wow Janet, I read this right after I posted above about the Creator and the creation. As God guides you through this hard situation may he the Divine creator create in you exactly what he's desiring. Janet his favor is upon you, his protection is over you, his presence and power is in you. You are blessed going in and coming out! If God is for you who can be against you? Romans 8:31. Janet thank you for sharing this with us so we can join together with you in prayer. With love Terri
ReplyDeleteWell, I've refrained from getting too detailed as to what is going on with my treatment, with what seemed liked minor maintenance chemo adjustment issues the past several months. But gotten to be a tad of a more serious issue despite being in remission, the maintenance chemo drugs appear to be too strong and are causing other significant issues.. Emory and local doc have been scaling back a little since Sept.
ReplyDeleteEach Monday I get bloodwork done to insure it is safe to proceed with the IV chemo, since starting Maint. Chemo in June (post stem cell transplant). For 3 weeks get IV/take oral chemo then I'm off a week. In early November, fatigue got worse each day (had been worse each month and shown by declining RBC and other indicators) and I began to have a fever daily. A few more days later a high fever. Tested negative for Covid-19, began antibiotics for possible pneumonia, CAT-CT showed nodules in my lungs which could be many things, thus scheduled a return visit for a month later, which is today.
Stopped chemo for 2 weeks but had a transfusion to assist RBC as was 35% below normal day before Thanksgiving and it helped some for Turkey day and even better after several more days.
Tests for this past Monday showed normal-ish RBC, so started back on IV and reduced to new level oral chemo. Body didn't like 2 weeks off, and was very ill, nausea, fever etc from chemo for 1st time. Did a lot of new tests on Monday due to continuing fatigue and lung nodules despite being off chemo and needing RBC blood transfusion. Now a test that came in last night says possible blood clot... praying not so. Will expanded CAT-CT today to check for clots and see if lungs cleared of nodules or pneumonia. Asking the JC warriors to assist! 🙏😁
Entering into prayer for you dear brother. Nothing escapes the loving gaze of the Lord upon you. You are His faithful servant. No hurdles placed in your path will be ignored by the Most High. He's on it! Amen, Hallelujah!
DeleteGod's got this! As you know, He's right out there on the limb with you! Praying for His Peace to overtake you no matter what troubled waters you go through.
DeletePrayers for you MadFox! Amen
DeleteDear MadFox, I have kept you in my prayers and believed things were going well. So sorry you have had to suffer through these difficult days not knowing what was causing your problems. God is in your midst and He can heal the weaknesses even if it is a blood clot. I pray that the tests will show something easily treatable. Rest in Him dear MadFox. He is with you always and knows your fears and feelings. Hold onto His Hand and don't let go. Much love.
DeleteMad 🦊, we love and pray for you daily. Thank you for rushing the share of current health status. It helps us get more specific in our prayers for you. Peace, brother. It's gonna be OK. ♥️🙏
DeleteThanks everyone. Prayers always accepted...humbly and with gratitude.
DeleteAudra. It's Gonna be ok... I see what you did there! 😆😁👍

ReplyDeleteThanks dear Norah. Praying you had a sweet sleep too. Had a wonderful time with my little Gabriel. Amen He is a precious gift from God. Love to you and yours.
DeleteLoved todays devotion. I am staying close to the Lord and I know He is close to me. I may be getting my PCR test today or tomorrow or Monday. The hospital called to tell me all the stuff I must do before my biopsy on the 14th. Giving it all to God. Praying for Jan's #2 son's friend's family and comfort to all who have a broken heart and a wilderness to travel because his friend took his own life. May God care for the wife and children and bring peace to Jan's son and all the friends and family members. Also praying MadFox's that the terrible situation with the family he mentioned because the father was charged and arrested for a sexual crime and is going to County Jail. God can make all things right. May they all get the help and support they need. And dear Sassy Mom, Praying for your comfort, and Terri's comfort, but I'm blessed by the loving kindness you received at the grocery store. Rejoice and be glad because God takes care of you. Dear Norah, praying also for your heart to be lifted and encouraged. So happy you are seeing better. Praying all will continue to go well. May your daughter receive a good report from her Endoscopy and may you DH have a smooth Caratoid ultrasound and a good result. Praying for all you dear ones. We pray for each other because we know we serve a merciful and faithful God. Thank You Jesus. May my CPR test come out negative whenever it is scheduled and may my biopsy be benign, and all our tests be good in Jesus' Name we pray.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Joining in prayers with you Jeanne. Heavenly Father, please magnify Jeanne's prayers and bring about Your perfect will in all these situations. May Your will be done and Your loving presence received by all. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen 🙏.
DeleteDear Jeanne, praying with Janet & claiming the scriptures you posted for you in all situations, outcome of test results , coming procedures be successful according to God's will & good purpose. Thank you for prayers for son & friend's family. Walk in the light of His glory dear sis. 🙏🙏💞🌈
DeletePlease join me in praying peace over some family friends. A wife passed unexpectedly from heart issues three weeks ago. I just learned her husband was found deceased three days ago. Much speculation, and so sad for their family and friends. Both in their 60's. These tragedies and loss sometimes come wrapped in a depression around holidays. I pray they had a good relationship with Jesus.
ReplyDeleteJoining in prayer. May our heavenly Father place His loving arms around this family during this hard time in their lives. May His presence be felt and received by them as He comforts and strengthen's them. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen 🙏.
DeleteComfort this family dear Lord as they grieve the losses they are faced with. Be the calm & peace they need to overcome despair. In Jesus'name, amen.🙏🙏💞🌈
DeleteAnd asking the line of Sassy Mom's blessings relayed yesterday, I must say there is a special place in heaven for the local good Samaritans with front loaders and plows that pass by and move the snow berms to lighten our load when we are out shoveling. So grateful!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them. (Isaiah 42:16).
ReplyDeleteFor God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7).
ReplyDeleteJC Warriors, please pray for me that the Lord gives me guidance and direction. I've been wanting to go visit my son in Florida but I'm not sure how to go about it or if this is the right time. I miss him very much and I would love to see him. I need the Lord's blessing and His leading. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts 🙏. God bless.
Janet - praying for you as you discern God’s will about visiting your son in Florida. Praying that God will give you peace.
