Jesus Calling: December 9

Be willing to go out on a limb with Me. If that is where I am leading you, it is the safest place to be. Your desire to live a risk-free life is a form of unbelief. Your longing to live close to Me is at odds with your attempts to minimize risk. You are approaching a crossroads in your journey. In order to follow Me wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your tendency to play it safe.
Let Me lead you step by step through this day. If your primary focus is on Me, you can walk along perilous paths without being afraid. Eventually, you will learn to relax and enjoy the adventure of our journey together. As long as you stay close to Me, My sovereign Presence protects you wherever you go.
Psalm 23:4
English Standard Version
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

Psalm 9:10
English Standard Version
And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

John 12:26
English Standard Version
If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

My Prayer
Lord, comfort, minimizing risk, and keeping myself safe are hallmarks of my life. I know this is how I live life. And I often will follow you only to extent that it doesn't infringe on these tenets of my being. For instance, I know your word says I will be persecuted but I tend to not follow you and put myself in situations where persecution might occur because I like my lifestyle too much and I don't want to hurt it so I find easier ways to follow You. Yesterday, I was remembering a song that was so popular 25 years ago and the words are "Lift me up" meaning its focus is you rescuing me and lifting me up. I too often take this to mean that I want to be greater or more successful or have more riches. But your focus towards me is eternal. Lord, teach me and break me so that if you are calling me to be uncomfortable or take risks I can do that and still be in peace.

  1. I want to be this person so much. I am at a point in my life where I MUST trust God. I will be very uncomfortable and it is a very hard step for me. I've loved the Lord since I was a little girl. He I know will take care of me for his word says so. I want his plan that is good for me. Please join me today in prayer on trusting God so that I can get this behind me. I do not want to be afraid of the unknown, i want to embrace it with the peace that passes all understanding. Please God God, give me the peace, assertive approach, knowing you will provide all my needs to take care of me. In Jesus name,Amen

      Dear Heavenly Father God,
Would You help us to carry Your Cross, and fully put our trust in God amid the storms and battles in this life?
Although we are in extremely difficult and painful situations, would You always increase our trust that God is staying with us in the midst of our good times as well as in our suffering?
As Christians, would You help us live our life according to the will of God?
      In Jesus' Name. Amen.0

  2. That feeling of walking on a tight rope is way too familiar to all of us. It is exactly that,"feelings". It's the other end of the spectrum from "faith". I join you Nature Amy in praying and then putting the enemy on notice that "fear" has to face the God we know.

  3. I join you too, Amy, in prayer and thanksgiving that He will supply our need and that we don't have to be afraid. I know I am drawing from a dry well too often. I am relying on things of this world to make me feel better and it doesn't (partying sounds like it would be the ticket - it isn't). I wake up in condemnation. I need to go out on the limb in trusting Him to keep me and meet my needs. I love what you said, Jan, about "putting the enemy on notice that "fear" has to face the God we know." I am claiming this day - going to church and coming home and taking care of the things that need to be done - with a joyful heart! We have been through a lot in the last few years (my husband had cancer, but he is cancer-free now!), family issues (a divorce, now a new spouse, more children) - all things that we should be rejoicing in and yet it's as if NOW, I'm hashing through all of the hard things we went through & trying to escape with wine or drinks. It's ridiculous. Sorry for the rant - again, Peyton Family...I'm praying for victories today and changes that need to be made. Today is the day.

  4. As this reading occurs this year (2018), it is Sunday and according to tradition it is the Second Sunday in Advent. In the observance of Advent, this Sunday’s gospel tells the story of John the Baptist being moved by the Word of God to proclaim a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins as he fulfilled his calling to prepare the way of the Lord. A suggestion for you: reread today’s message above and imagine you are John reading this in whatever cozy surroundings Zechariah and Elizabeth provided him. The one sticky point in doing this is the last sentence, “my sovereign Presence protects you” and John’s life would end with his beheading because he stayed close to God. What do we do with that? Jesus’ words in John 12:26 are helpful.

The message of this drama being acted out on earth is that God is and will save all He has created out of His everlasting love. You and I are bit players in the drama. Bit players in a play are not the stars, they simply do some small act that advances the plot. May you and I fulfill our given role in God’s love story. Though certainly not a bit player, John was faithful to his role and the Lord’s way was duly prepared.

  5. Good Morning, to all of you beautiful believers on this site. Chris Peyton, your words/prayer ring clearer to me today than they did even a year ago and they touched me then, so much.
Yesterday was such a blessing. God DID order my steps and I accomplished everything I set out to do. I have to admit, though, I still did not 'rest' in Him completely. I couldn't go to sleep for fear I'd oversleep when I did! I feel like I slept with one eye open all night and at 4:20, my dear hub reached over and said, "What time did you say you needed to leave?"
I JUMPED out of bed, blood jumping in my veins, for I was convinced I'd overslept and would be late for my event! I still had 10 mins before my first alarm went off. We laughed and he apologized, but how sweet is that? That he would be awake, praying and make it HIS concern as well that I not be late.
I read today's devotion and all of our comments 3 x's, including my own of last year. And I see growth. I see "unknown unknown" on here and know how her life unfolded - you are still in my prayers!
Amy's prayer is still my prayer and Bob's sharing warms my heart even more this year.
PBEGDesigns: you and your husband will be in my prayers throughout the day. Lord, I pray for VICTORY, in this situation. I can't wait to hear the 'All Clear' report. God is with you and our Lord, Jesus Christ has gone before your dear husband: by his stripes we were healed.
Suzanne: I had the same thoughts about neediness. I still have so much to learn, Lord! And then I pray the prayer of 'second chances' and that I don't learn it the hard way...always seeking that comfortable place.
CO: I pray Chris Peyton's prayer over and over for you. What a strong Woman of God, you are. Bless you as you continue on this path of restoration for your family.
Sassy Mom, JJ, Loveconquersall, Keith Jan,...all of you on this site: your words give me courage and your hearts are so true to His Word.
God Bless each of you and thank you again Peyton Family for this site. I will have time in the car to pray for each of you and it will stick throughout the day. What a blessed bunch we are to have each other, to share honestly and to approach the throne of Grace without any sense of condemnation or guilt (always the goal!) and claim those priceless promises.
Prayers for you, MadFox; I miss your words of wisdom and trust all is well with your soul.
God Bless each of you. Maplewood, I'll hop on here later to hear your beautiful songs of praise.
Please pray for my Event, for safe travels and confidence that I keep my focus on Him, who so loved that he gave His only begotten Son.

    4. Sweet, sweet Norah! I've been reading and praying each day right here with you all (for over 2 years now). Thank you for the kind words... my thoughts here are always pursuing and seeking His wisdom and to be blessed by the thoughts and prayers shared. It is inspirational to see the spiritual growth, prayerful encouragement, and the "Hand of God" work through the lives of those here the past few years.

It is evident that living in America and western civilization, where most people are "safe and secure", is much easier than in the East and Africa. To be "out on the limb" in that part of the world is a true challenge to your faith. And here, God's message of faith can often get lost in the the warmth of a home watching a football game! When we do get forced "out on a limb" with a health issue, a loss of any type (job, loved one, friend) or a spiritual valley like scripture illustrates with David's Psalms, we seek to immediately pray to be back in the safe zone.

"Fear not for I am with you always..." We tend to forget He's holding our "limb" in both the mountain tops and the valleys - ALWAYS. For most, our growth only comes when we are seeking Him while dangling from a limb. And Jesus having lived in the flesh and experiencing our limitations knows this. It's why He keeps whispering "Hold my hand". He always brings you peace. Godspeed, may today we all experience the comfort of knowing that God is with us wherever we are... on a limb or on the ground, safe or in peril, traveling or at home. Amen.

    7. A year later, the limb and the reference I make to a health issue, etc, just show us time and time again, that JC is written with an uncanny eternal perspective and with a year to year ability to bend to new circumstances. Godspeed, we as limbs are indeed... as said elsewhere, the vine of Christ.

    2. Amen Sassy Mom! Apart from Him, we cannot live an abundant life, nor produce good and abundant fruit. We must consciously stay "plugged in" so we remain in His Living Room with Him, instead of just looking at Him through the window from outside. We leave Him, but He never leaves us.

Well, it's pouring rain in my neck of the woods and as I steer through the bus window on my way to work, I am looking at the grey sky and showers of blessings pouring down, I can't help but be in awe of Your greatness! Who could have created ALL of this and caused the rain to fall, watering the earth, cleansing the pollution off of it and the many, many benefits and blessings of rain? NO one but YOU OH LORD!! we tend to complain when it rains because we want to be out doors enjoying several activities, but like the bleesings of a sunshine day, so are the blessings of a rainly day!
I say THANK YOU that I woke up this morning to rain, not just any rain, but showers of blessings! THANK You for the benefits of it and the gift of being alive to feel it from the heavens! I glorify You Lord and say THANK YOU! Help me to relax and enjoy this rainy day You have made. I rejoice in it! You are on this journey with me every step of the way, rain or shine! May I never take 1 second of it for granted. Thank You!

My JC family, may the supernatural spiritual showers of blessings I'm experiencing through the physical showers of rain, be your portion as well. Lifting you all in the hands of the ONE who has the Ultimate power to guide your paths and bless you beyond your wildest imagination! JESUS the CHRIST!!

  10. Hey Dear Brothers and Sisters, I had to hop on here to THANK all of you for your prayers and believing for me. It was a day of VICTORY! So many turned out in spite of the rain and were blessed. One of my Presenters fell in the parking lot. She had back surgery not long ago and has had GREAT results. Today, she fell and her knee was a mess. She sat in her seat, and then did her presentation, standing. When she went to sit down, her knee made a horrific sound and she yelled out in pain. I called the Paramedics and they had to put her in a chair (b/c the gurney wouldn't fit in the elevator). As I passed a woman in the crowd, she said, "I think she needs prayer." I said, "Yes, she does - please pray for her." We wheeled her out and her husband was meeting her at the hosptial - I'm hoping for an update tomorrow.
In the meantime, I'm driving home and hearing a weird noise in my car. Turns out, my curb thing (? don't know the name of this thing that has effected both our Chrysler and, now, our Buick" but it was dangling. I had to stop and pick up aprons (a gift I had made), and the Embroider's hub said, "Looks like you've lost your curb thing! I'll fix that for you." Into the barn my car went and 15 mins later, out it came, totally restored. He wouldn't let me pay him; he just said, "Merry Christmas!" Hugs went around and off to the office I went, AFTER delivering fruit salad to several places.
JC Family - THANK YOU! Thank you, for your prayers for your going before me in all expectations - they surpassed my greatest expectations.
And the whipped cream topping? A message from MadFox!! So glad to hear from you, friend! Trust me, today, I held His hand - or He held mine. Probably both. <3
Dave: You are in my prayers. I know by experience what you are going through. I, too, have quit, many times. Prayers for you, brother. Today, I went 6 hours without giving it a thought. Tonight, I made up for it. YOU. CAN. DO. IT.!! I will be following in your footsteps very soon.
Love you, my JC Family - thank you for your prayers. Please know all of you are in mine.

  11. Remembering this time last year...what JOY, I felt! One year later, I won't be driving an hour and a half away. I'll only be driving to my office, and then to the store for my Click List, and then to a restaurant for my Zoom Christmas Lunch - compliments of my boss...what a difference a year makes! That's OK. God still implores me to go with Him 'step by step.' And that, I will! Praying for all of you Dear Saints: prayers that Larry is sleeping, peacefully Brie, and that you, JJ, are peaceful in your bed - that all of you (i.e. MadFox) are comfy, cozy in your beds, holding our Father's hand and saying, "All is well, with my soul." 14. Like Norah, I too, am reading the AM JC Devo prior to heading to sleep. Also, am praying for all of the needs expressed here. What is remarkable is that this devo seems to be written in such a way that even in different circumstances and years, the message can resonate to your heart's needs. No question, JC is still on the mark and the 23rd Psalm defines my and surely, your situation, too, in the covid era.

Let us pray for healing this nation's current valley of division... as it is NOT unity in Christ. Isn't it time to eliminate this dischord as Christians and leaders? Our divine responsibility is to be the "light" and a source of His love. In this unique year and the Advent season, it is even more of an imperative. Faith, Hope, and Love are integral to healing a world suffering from the self-righteous and those seeking to control the masses. In Him amd Godspeed USA.

Lead me step by step through this day as I make my 3 hour round trip to care for my brother who has Primary Progressive Aphasia. Please help me put on a happy face for him. He doesn't know the bucket of tears I have cried; You do. I don't know the bucket of tears he has cried; You do. Help us navigate this Unknown territory which is far out on this too fragile limb. I was never trained in the medical world as I get nauseated thinking about or seeing blood and bodily fluids. This path is perilous for me. I am battling satan's attempts to install fear in me. Would you help me keep my primary focus on You? And lift me up to where I can see Your light in this situation? Would You send Your Sovereign protection, healing and wisdom in this and all situations? I need You, O how I need You. Every hour I need You. I ask. I seek. I knock. I praise. I thank. 10. Reading these words a year later brought so much warmth into my heart, that tears flowed from my eyes.
Thank You God for all of your blessings which include this Family of JC Prayer Warriors, who hang out on this limb with me, connected to The Vine. Be it in The Valley of the shadow of death, or somewhere else, still then do we trust You to be here bringing on your rod and your staff to comfort us.
Thank You for leading us step by step throughout this day and helping us keep our primary focus on You, as Yours is on us.
Thank You for Your Strength and Courage to trust You as we hang from perilous branches and/or walk along perilous paths. Thank you for Your Vine that always supports us.
And thank You for Your Sovereign Presence that always protects us wherever we hang and/or go. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

  17. Mindy praying for you and all the medical staff around you. Prayers for all the others having procedures done. I just laughed inside myself because I feel I/ we are going through "procedures" all the time. Our procedures are more spiritual. As the great physician heals our wounds and whittles away at our flesh forming us into his likeness. Sorry for the strange analogy, just call it middle of the night, keep waking up thoughts. This will be the third time tonight that I pecked away at writing a post to then delete it.
Mindy it's perfectly normal to be glad it will be over. I also had a hysterectomy years ago and I felt so much better. I had so massive scare tissue that the doctor said it was like one big knot. I'm sure that you are in "need" of this procedure also otherwise they would not be doing it because of the extra precautions that are being taken today.
Praying for all the JC family that God intercedes in each of your concerns and has his will in your lives for your good and his glory.

I miss reading some days and then I don't see posts from various people. Bob I've missed your amazing God given insight praying all is well with you.
It's awesome how God has brought us together as a family in his name to storm the gates of hell and destroy the schemes of the enemy.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 God bless you all and keep you. May his face shine upon you and be gracious to you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
Love to you and prayers for you my beautiful JC family, TERRI

      Lord, I come, I confess

You're the One that guides my heart

      CHORUS:
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
      Every hour I need You
      My One defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
Where You are, Lord, I am free
      Holiness is Christ in me

      (CHORUS)

So teach my song to rise to You

  20. “Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.” (Luke 9:57).

Loving Father God, I do not want to follow You on my own terms. If I am going to follow You, I must follow You whenever & wherever You lead me. You might lead me down paths that do not make sense and may occasionally involve risk or result in suffering, but wherever You lead me, I am willing to follow You all the way, knowing that my Shepherd goes before me and never leaves me astray. You initiate my faith and I choose to follow. You do not want me to be a half-hearted follower, but rather a complete serious one. When all I have is what You have said to me in Your Word, I believe You and I choose to follow You by faith and not by sight. Thank You for the promise to save me at the points of my every fall, for Christ's sake. Amen.

May we live by the promises and not explanations and live our Christian lives based on what God says and not on what we see or how we feel. We must surrender, put our everything on the altar and trust Him, just as Abraham did!

I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.”
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way…..

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”(Psalm 37:23).

    Blessings and Peace.

Trusting Him means even walking "out on a limb". But He says: Be not afraid. If He calls us, we must follow. I really experienced this with my heart procedure. I never feared, just trusted. He was so faithful.

Started the remedies. Slept well last night. Achiness almost gone, just stuffy nose. Brie, I used Hopewell Essential oil Respiratory Relief & Eucalyptus Globulus oils during the night & all day. Hubby did better on the first oil. My body responds better on the latter. The following I did not use on hubby: nebulizer with food grade hydrogen peroxide, 10min. Every hour. 1teas. Raw Black seed oil with honey/lemon juice (this stuff is awful on its own), but it will cure everything but death! Wonderful gift from God. Remember dear ones, it's not about the remedy itself, but the power behind it. Just believe! When the Great Physician reveals His ancient way of healing the body He created. Amen!, Hallelujah!

However, I do know that hydrogen peroxide is and can be dangerous. Here is an article that I think is somewhat balanced despite being from the mainstream media/press. It explains how this came about and European studies towards the end of the article... I simply provide in case you've not read about the risks of this treatment as well.

  30. I started to respond and then deleted my response but after further reflection let me say this... I know we've not really discussed covid here on the blog. My daughter got it bad as a RN in NY in April 2020 and I know she didn't need shots since she has natural immunity, yet as a RN she did and insisted as did my Oncology docs since I'm immunocompromised. It scares me for some not to get the monoclonal antibodies immediately as you may know that if early is a huge remedy. I do know that hydrogen peroxide is risky as my daughter has discussed how it has fallen out of favor for wounds, infections, etc. I would suggest you research and I pray for you and your husband to be made well. I use Christian docs and pray that God gives them the guidance to use modern medicine and homeopathic remedies when appropriate. Godspeed.

  31. Second Thursday of Advent

The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it; for he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers. (Psalm 24:1-2 (NRSV))

The use of decorated trees in our celebration of Christmas is said to have begun in the 1500’s and has been attributed to Martin Luther who put candles on an evergreen tree at Christmas. The practice has grown to be a precious time of celebration for a family in decorating a tree this time of year. In doing so, be sure not to miss the spiritual significance that is standing in the middle of your home. The Christmas tree is some form of evergreen which symbolizes the eternal nature of God.  That it comes to a point at the top, points everyone toward God.  The lights and decorations reflect the joy of the LORD we find in the birth of the Father’s only begotten Son.  Our tree is covered with ornaments we have accumulated over the years which were given to us by loving parishioners. As we hang each ornament, we remember that person with great fondness.  So for us, our tree is covered with the love we have received over the years.

One year on December 24th, I was asked to do a funeral for a young woman who had died suddenly of natural causes.  In ministering to the parents, the mother, in her sorrow said, ‘Well I guess I am going to turn off the lights on the Christmas tree this year.” I paused for a moment and then this thought came to me from the Spirit of God in love for the woman. I found myself saying to her, “No, right now you need the lights on the tree to burn more brightly than ever for they will remind you of the hope you have in the LORD even in the depth of your sorrow.”

You should have guessed by now what song would be appropriate. O Tannebaum was written in the middle 1800’s from a poem said to have originated from the 1600’s.  It originally was not about a Christmas tree but about the constancy and faithfulness of an evergreen tree. In those aspects of a Christmas tree, the nature of God is affirmed, that the LORD is always faithful and never changing. The verses of O Tannenbaum have been written and rewritten over the years to fit this decoration that adorns our house this time of year.  Enjoy putting up a tree with those whom you love and remember your LORD is faithful for all eternity in His love for you.  (Be patient with this presentation, there will be English; if you are having a hard time being patient, see yesterday’s devotion.)

  32. Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? (Romans 9:21). Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the LORD has commanded it? (Lamentations 3:37). I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things. (Isaiah 45:7). The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. (Proverbs 16:33). As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. (Genesis 50:20). 3. Janet, the words " Has the potter no right over the clay?" Struck me in my heart today. Looking at it as a question in physical terms.
Does the_____ have any say in how it's created? We all have created something whether it was cooking, baking, sewing, painting, even cleaning or mowing the grass. All of these are someone changing something from one form or way to another. Does the grass say to the gardener?" This is how I want to be cut" Does the ingredients say to the cook? "This is how you stir me in" No, that would be ridiculous! Do we as human flesh have the right to tell our creator how to create us? No, we don't, but how often we do this very thing. In our minds we tend to think that we have it all figured out. We lay out the plan to our creator. Hoping that he does exactly what we want. To think about it this is as ridiculous as the paint telling the painter where they want to be placed.
Lord help us to remember that you are the Creator of all things. You know exactly what we need and when we need it. Please forgive us for putting ourselves in your position, trying to be creator of our own lives. Help us to remember that you have a perfect plan for each of us. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on you and what you are doing in us and not on what we "think" you should do. Thank you Lord so much, in Jesus name amen

  33. Heavenly Father, thank You for the message today. It was like You were speaking right to me. You know exactly what has been on my mind and the things that I have been asking, seeking, and saying. Thank You for Your sovereignty over all things. Thank You for Your protection and love. I praise You Lord always. Forgive me for my "unbelief". You know everything. You know past, present, and future. You are always with all Your children and You will ALWAYS take the best care of us. There is no one like You. Not now -- Not ever! You are God Almighty -- the One and Only God -- there is no other God but You. Help me to relinquish the control I feel I need to have over my "safe living". Help me to give all my fears to You and to rest in Your very capable, loving arms. Help me to walk with confidence in Your protection of me and that I am on the path that You willed for me and that You are always there, with me, to the end. You will not leave me and will always hold on to me. I need not worry or concern myself about the things of this world, but I can just keep my eyes focused on You and You will take care of the rest. Thank You Jesus. You are truly my saving grace and my eternal salvation. I will trust in You Lord, for You will establish my steps. Thank You for all my benefits and blessings Lord. I may not understand why I am in the circumstances that I am in, but You are with me, so everything will be okay. Let Your perfect peace, love, and joy permeate within me and Your Spirit rule me. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

  34. JC Warriors -- I would like to give you an update of what is going on with me. I will try to give a concise one, for many things have been happening, but the one thing that I really want to let you know about is the main thing. My roommate, Heather, has turned out to be not the person that I thought she was. I feel like I'm living with "evil". I had been asking the Lord (the last couple of days) why He would put me in this position and I was telling Him that I didn't think that this was what He wanted for me (things like that). The message today has cleared up some points for me. For I know that everything happens for a reason (only the Lord knows why), so it's been a bit challenging for me lately. I won't go in to detail right now, but I know that the Lord is doing His work, but I don't know what it may be so I am hoping that in the future I will be able to tell you what is happening more clearly and with a positive take away. The Lord is good -- ALWAYS! Sometimes it is so hard for us to see that when we are in the trial and enduring it, but I am asking the Lord to please give me a mind like Paul so that I can endure my trials with peace, comfort, faith, love, and joy and to always keep my eyes focused on Him and not on the things of this world. More to come soon, I hope and pray. Thank you for being such prayerful and thoughtful believers in Christ Jesus. Peace be with you!

  35. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10). "Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created." (Revelations 4:11). And when the gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. (Acts 13:48).

  36. Praying always that He will guide your steps and now I will pray for a new door to open, with possibly a good and godly roommate. Stay strong dear Sister. The Lord is always at your side and will never leave you. He wants you to be blessed and prosper. Trust His guiding Hand. He knows just how your feel, and your situation very well. Thank You Jesus.

  37. Janet - Praying with you "I can endure my trials with peace, comfort, faith, love, and joy and to always keep my eyes focused on Him and not on the things of this world." God bless you for sharing your heart. We love you.

  38. Forgive me Lord for wanting to minimize risk and stay 'safe'.
You have kept me safe in many unsafe situations; my wife too when she was shadowed by plain clothed Moslem security forces; eventually cornered and asked "Are you an evangelist?"
Truth is, where You are IS the safest place to be.
If You are leading us out of our comfort zone, then lead on, open the door, we will follow. We will get out of the boat again. Help us keep our eyes on You so that we do not look at circumstances and sink.
    Matt 14:28-31
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
    “Come,” He said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said,
    “why did you doubt?”

  39. Wow Janet, I read this right after I posted above about the Creator and the creation. As God guides you through this hard situation may he the Divine creator create in you exactly what he's desiring. Janet his favor is upon you, his protection is over you, his presence and power is in you. You are blessed going in and coming out! If God is for you who can be against you? Romans 8:31. Janet thank you for sharing this with us so we can join together with you in prayer. With love Terri

  40. Well, I've refrained from getting too detailed as to what is going on with my treatment, with what seemed liked minor maintenance chemo adjustment issues the past several months. But gotten to be a tad of a more serious issue despite being in remission, the maintenance chemo drugs appear to be too strong and are causing other significant issues.. Emory and local doc have been scaling back a little since Sept.

Each Monday I get bloodwork done to insure it is safe to proceed with the IV chemo, since starting Maint. Chemo in June (post stem cell transplant). For 3 weeks get IV/take oral chemo then I'm off a week. In early November, fatigue got worse each day (had been worse each month and shown by declining RBC and other indicators) and I began to have a fever daily. A few more days later a high fever. Tested negative for Covid-19, began antibiotics for possible pneumonia, CAT-CT showed nodules in my lungs which could be many things, thus scheduled a return visit for a month later, which is today.

Stopped chemo for 2 weeks but had a transfusion to assist RBC as was 35% below normal day before Thanksgiving and it helped some for Turkey day and even better after several more days.

Tests for this past Monday showed normal-ish RBC, so started back on IV and reduced to new level oral chemo. Body didn't like 2 weeks off, and was very ill, nausea, fever etc from chemo for 1st time. Did a lot of new tests on Monday due to continuing fatigue and lung nodules despite being off chemo and needing RBC blood transfusion. Now a test that came in last night says possible blood clot... praying not so. Will expanded CAT-CT today to check for clots and see if lungs cleared of nodules or pneumonia. Asking the JC warriors to assist! 🙏😁

  45. Loved todays devotion. I am staying close to the Lord and I know He is close to me. I may be getting my PCR test today or tomorrow or Monday. The hospital called to tell me all the stuff I must do before my biopsy on the 14th. Giving it all to God. Praying for Jan's #2 son's friend's family and comfort to all who have a broken heart and a wilderness to travel because his friend took his own life. May God care for the wife and children and bring peace to Jan's son and all the friends and family members. Also praying MadFox's that the terrible situation with the family he mentioned because the father was charged and arrested for a sexual crime and is going to County Jail. God can make all things right. May they all get the help and support they need. And dear Sassy Mom, Praying for your comfort, and Terri's comfort, but I'm blessed by the loving kindness you received at the grocery store. Rejoice and be glad because God takes care of you. Dear Norah, praying also for your heart to be lifted and encouraged. So happy you are seeing better. Praying all will continue to go well. May your daughter receive a good report from her Endoscopy and may you DH have a smooth Caratoid ultrasound and a good result. Praying for all you dear ones. We pray for each other because we know we serve a merciful and faithful God. Thank You Jesus. May my CPR test come out negative whenever it is scheduled and may my biopsy be benign, and all our tests be good in Jesus' Name we pray.

  46. Please join me in praying peace over some family friends. A wife passed unexpectedly from heart issues three weeks ago. I just learned her husband was found deceased three days ago. Much speculation, and so sad for their family and friends. Both in their 60's. These tragedies and loss sometimes come wrapped in a depression around holidays. I pray they had a good relationship with Jesus.
