1 Praise the Lord!
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart,
In the company of the upright and in the assembly.
2 Great are the works of the Lord;
They are studied by all who delight in them.
3 Splendid and majestic is His work,
And His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has made His wonders to be remembered;
The Lord is gracious and compassionate.
5 He has given food to those who fear Him;
He will remember His covenant forever.
6 He has made known to His people the power of His works,
In giving them the heritage of the nations.

A good understanding have all those who do His commandments;

All His precepts are sure.

Holy and awesome is His name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;

Message: The Great Works of God
Time: The psalms were written by many different people across a period of a
thousand years in Israel's history. They are thought to have been
compiled and put together in their present form by some unknown editor
shortly after the captivity ended about 537 B.C.
What the Lord is Saying:
This is a beautiful Psalm of praise extolling the works of the Lord. I give thanks to him with my whole heart, with all that is in me. Lord, I am not sure I praise you like this but I want to. I want to see your works and remember them and let them be my strength. You work is splendid and majestic. Your righteousness or your goodness endures forever. There are wonders throughout this world and they possess your handiwork. You are full of grace and you are compassionate. You give us the hand of providence. You make good on your promises. You show us your power through creation, through weather, through suffering. Everything about you is truth and justice. Your precepts are upheld forever and ever. They are performed in truth and uprightness. You have redeemed your people. You have ordained your covenant forever. Holy and Awesome is His Name. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Give me understanding. Your praise endures forever.
Promise: Keep praising the works of the Lord and praising His Name all the days of my life.
